  1. While this is a good idea in theory, the developers have stated that they want to avoid this specifically because it would only serve to reinforce a new meta of partnering frames together in certain missions.

I agree wholeheartedly with their assessment, as I don't want to be expected to reinforce another player's gamestyle, and draw flak or insults if I don't do exactly what the other players want me to do if I bring a frame along with that can synergize with theirs.

I already use my warframes to buff or protect the whole squad, regardless of their warframes or weapons, but I don't want to be pigeonholed into using certain abilities specifically to help out another one or two other frames.

  2. Ummm what? They released two new gigantic Eidolons in February, two new game modes (Onslaught) last month, an open world 8 months ago, and are about to release a new cinematic quest and a new open world in the next few months. Oh, and they also opened up a new room 5 months ago in our ship (personal quarters), plus reworked a whole bunch of primary weapons and improved beam weapons to make them viable. Finally, they're also working on a massive melee rebalancing/new system that looks amazing and fluid.

I don't think they're neglecting new content buddy. Sorry they aren't releasing stuff fast enough for you.

  3. They offhandedly mentioned her melee as one of the things on the table. They didn't even remember its name, so I don't think it's a priority right now, they just brought up the fact that she will be reworked soon. More details to come, I'm sure; don't freak out yet.

if there was a some sort of dialog "use forma to have base power unlocked" will cost # forma? id pay it. thats how much of a nuisance it is to me.

Well the forma application process wouldn't change (you would need to re-level the frame to 30 before applying another forma), it's just that the next time you apply a forma, you have another ability unlocked at rank0. That way, by the time you level the frame again after applying the 3rd forma, you have all your abilities from the start.

  5. Lots of good points brought up, thank you all for the comments.

Would an appropriate compromise be to allow each successive forma to unlock the next power at rank 0? This is kinda going off DarthBane1's idea, and would work so that 1 forma applied would unlock second ability at rank 0. A player would need to first apply 3 formas to unlock all powers at rank 0 to assist with leveling the frame again. And again, these powers would start at rank 0 and progress the same way it is now, you can just use all of them at the start.

  6. Title. I'm tired of slapping formas on my warframes only to wait 10 levels to reuse all my abilities again. Some frames need all 4 to be useful in a squad, and/or for survivability at such low ranks. I'm fine with the current rank-up system for the abilities themselves, I just think access to the full kit should start at the beginning.

Edit: I'm MR25 so survivability isn't an issue (and I can fit most mods already on a re-forma'd frame). I'd just like to go into a defense mission with Rank 0 Frost or Gara and protect the objective from the start, for example, instead of pointlessly waiting for the game to unlock those abilities for me.

  7. This post cracks me up: I have never ever seen anyone complain about too much kuva before!

Seriously though, once you start building out your riven collection, you will need all 100K of that kuva, and hundreds of thousands more to start rolling good stats for your favorite weapons.

  8. Step 1: Buy extra primed mods from Baro

Step 2: Max out said mods with your excess endo and credits (latter easily attained thru Index runs)

Step 3: Sell maxed out primed mods for 300-400p each, though the PS4 market may be priced differently than PC.

  9. The answer is probably buried in each console's EULA for Warframe, or intentionally vague. I think the most logical thing that would happen is the next-gen consoles will allow a one-time window of account migration, similar to what happened to PC accounts when PS4 and XB1 came out.

I doubt DE as a company even knows, since when they negotiated the console ports, Warframe wasn't nearly as popular or seemingly long-lasting.

PS edit: It's not even clear yet if the Warframe Evolution engine will even be supported on next-gen console hardware. Consoles are notorious for patchy backwards-compatibility of older games even of their own prior systems.

  10. Did you see the developer workshop on the Saryn rework? They clearly state at the beginning that this has been on the docket since mid-February, several months before Onslaught was even released. Also during the same video, they made it very clear that further tweaks will be made once they analyze the data of millions of players using her reworked kit; Pablo was even worried she was already OP before the rework even went live. Warframe and weapon reworks typically go through multiple iterations...it's part of the development process. They can only test so much internally; and besides, we're their free game testers anyways 🙂

    Did we change your mind?

  11. Try your simulacrum test again with a Drakgoon, or a tetra/supra modded with punchthrough. If survival is your issue, I suggest using the counter-pulse augment.

Also: lots of caster frames need weapons to fully unlock their potential (i.e. current Link-Trin broken meta). If you're trying to survive by abilities alone, stick to Rhino or Limbo. Mag is just fine after her last rework.

  12. Yeah, it's going to be very hard to give you advice if you don't want to disclose the warframe you are absolutely set on using. I don't see why, he's a really good frame 🙂

With that in mind, here's some tips: run around (bring mobility mods), bring corrosive projection to get rid of armor, and bring a high damage pet to contribute to kills. Don't need a sentinel since there are really no drops.

No need for me to "show you" anything. You made an untrue, hyperbolic exaggeration of a statement. The supply of items of any kind in WF is not "infinite." Moreover, because DE can adjust drop tables, relic content, relic drop locations, discontinuing of relics, etc., at any time they choose were there better trading functionality in the game via AH or limited AH, a simple database change, the repeated argument seen in anti AH threads that items are "infinite" and so would crash the ingame economy is in error, obviously so. Again, baloney.

How many Braton Prime sets exist or will ever exist in Warframe? How many relics can you farm to get prime parts that aren't vaulted right now? Last I checked there was no set limit to these, and the opposite of "limited" is..."unlimited" or "infinite".

This is not hyperbole, the only limit to these items is playtime, which can be circumvented by paying plat to players who already have these items, but there is still no set limit to the supply of braton primes, nekros primes, valkyr primes, etc. The only current limit are users online with those sets. Take away this limit, make it extremely easy to sell them, and the supply expands to the entire userbase with spares of these sets/mods/rewards.

Buyers will still need to be online to purchase, so the buyer base will remain the same. What happens when more sellers enter a market than buyers? The price deflates. Which is great if you want to buy your first nekros prime, but not so great to sell your second one.

But this debate is pointless: DE will never spend developer time to deflate platinum currency which reduces their profits as a company. Use warframe market.

  14. Put away the pitchforks people, these changes look amazing: strip armor with spores, halve their health with Miasma, and attack their HP directly with toxic lash (on every weapon you have!).

Can't wait to try it, is it ready yet??

Edit: Watched Primetime 207: holy moly Saryn could become the most powerful caster in game (besides broken Link Trinity). The combo of corrosive, toxin and viral procs will hit all factions and infinite spore duration will scale nicely as mobs and levels increase. Guaranteed Molt invincibility of 4 seconds should give minimum 200 health restore with augment, pairs nicely with Hunter Adrenaline too.

    -snip-

I think a better analogy would be eBay, as Walmart is a corporation that sets their price, not supply and demand. Walmart also doesn't like to disclose their wholesale costs lest they get cut out of the transaction, and given their size, they are able to negotiate a lower price to make up for higher volume orders. Everyone has to make a profit in the chain, sometimes they even take a loss on some items to bring people into the store.

Once a Warframe user has 1 braton set, every braton set they receive afterwards would go into the AH. If new users aren't being added to the game fast enough to offset the combined accumulation of braton sets, all those braton sets will then go to 1p each as every user tries to sell their extras.

Now, if only a portion of the users are online at one time, this limits the supply of braton sets automatically, and raises the price.

Will an auction house help sellers and buyers: yes, it will make transactions more efficient, however sellers won't be able to accumulate plat fast enough as they try to sell items at lower and lower prices to compete with the entire population of users, not just those online (items like maiming strike not included since that's obviously limited).

This will lead to an overall deflation of platinum as a currency in-game, and as the DE market prices will remain the same, formas and potatoes and slots will get comparatively more expensive. Suddenly new users will have to farm 20 braton sets to get one warframe slot, or buy plat directly. This will ultimately hurt new users the most as they need market-sourced items first versus veterans who may just use it to buy fashion items that aren't really necessary.

Baloney. Not even remotely close to true.

Ok, then show me a statement in the DE droptables that prevents a reward from dropping once a certain number of farmed items has dropped for all players in the game, thus limiting the total supply of a reward.

Notice how I said "most" since obviously event-limited items like Maiming Strike or some prime sets or Rivens with certain stats are naturally limiting, and thus command high prices.

  17. Not sure what's causing it, could be a new bug with stasis not activating fast enough when enemies enter the bubble or when it shrinks and they are right on the border. Your video shows lots of enemies clustered on the two parallel ramps so maybe they're clipping through each other too. Could also be an explosion from a napalm or bombard and it's hitting outside the bubble and it's just enough to trigger a failure.

I suggest doing it on Pluto Sechura, at least the Infested don't have as many ranged attacks.

  18. If an Auction House is implemented ingame which bypasses the need for players to actually be online to trade, expect platinum prices to plummet on everything that isn't event-related. This is because there is an INFINITE supply of most items, based solely on player gametime. This will then force a buyers' market as sellers try to unload all their accumulated rewards. The inefficiency of the current system is the sole reason it is enticing to spend time to trade instead of play.

This is simple economics: DE will then nerf all drops to compensate in order to prop up plat sales (remember all plat traded was bought at some time with real money), and then no one will be happy.

  19. Don't burn yourself out on this gamemode. You will get it eventually, just play Onslaught sometimes and before you know it, you'll have the frame.

BTW, it's going to be a long time before we get a new warframe anyways (not counting Prime), so don't rush. Regular Onslaught is a good source of focus or affinity for leveling, and you'll get relics and endo as well; it all adds up if you don't obsess over one reward.
