  1. I have an issue with the game just straight up locking up though. Never had this issue before. I have to terminate the process, I've waited but it never actually gives me any pop up for program not responding.

I had a similar thing just happen to me. I was at the loading screen when entering a mission and it stayed frozen. I had to Ctrl+Alt+Del to get to my task manager but even then the loading screen would stay on top and couldn't end task. I had to restart my computer.

  2. Stances:

I feel the same way. I can't experience all of Melee 2.0 since I have to grind for stances. I felt the moment this happened that each weapon should come with at least a default stance mod that would have a couple of simple combos to get you started until you find the stance with the best combos.

    Key Binding:

I see no reason why DE can't make this happen. I don't need it myself since I'm used to using E with melee so it feels more natural to me this way. Channeling should be just a key press like you said and if you want to cancel it you can just hit the channel key again.

    Hit Counter:

I think the visual is fine the way it is but giving options to players on how it's displayed seems like a good idea to me. Agree that the hit counter is too short and the length between hits should be increased a bit.

  3. When did they say charging will be gone? I was pretty sure that they said melee 2.0 is just an addition to the melee system, and that melee 1.0 is still there. We can still hack and slash and charge in normal mode but cant charge in melee mode.

They stated it during the devstream. Charge is only staying for thrown melee weapons and charge is being changed to channeling. Only quick strikes are staying when you don't have your melee weapon equipped.

  4. I actually remember your thread from earlier today. Before my long hiatus from Warframe this was the sole reason why I didn't try farming for weapons and warframes. It took the fun out of the game and got frustrating. I decided to just go with the flow and have fun and things started to come together easily (this was also when warframe parts weren't a guaranteed drop). I'm going to do the same with the Detron and Brakk. I'm not going to try to farm them. Just going to just have fun and let it eventually come to me.

  5. I was just watching the live stream recording and when they mentioned the tutorial an idea came to me. In the beginning the Lotus states the cryo-sleep has damaged your memory and I was thinking that during the tutorial while you're trying to escape you come up to some easy, quick obstacles to get through. When to get up to one of them your memory kicks in and shows a quick flash back on how to perform a running slide, a slide jump, wall run, etc. I'm not sure if it was brought up before but what do you guys think on this idea?

  6. OP is right.  Start a new account.  Let's see how long you play it without going back to your fully stocked old account.  And when you do go back to your old account, tell me if you don't breath a sigh of relief.  If not, you're a rare fish.

This game is brutal on newbies and it plays a lot slower and clunkier without all the mods.  It's almost as bad as ME3.

The Devs have lost their way.

I actually did this about a week ago and I find myself sticking to my new account more. I'm enjoying the challenge but at the same time I can see why it would be hard for new players. I know the mod system and what I need to do to get through with low level weapons and new players don't. The game really needs a mod tutorial but one that is quick. They should show the essential mods and why they are important (serration, hornet strike, redirection, piercing hit) and then let the new player learn the rest along the way. Maybe something how the foundry tutorial is like?
