  1. The Kuva Lich system is ambitious, I'll Give DE Credit for that. However, this update needs some Serious polish. So at the risk of beating the communal DEad horse, Here we go.

    First, Requiem Mods:

I'd be okay with Requiem Mods being consumed IF i had away to build more without having to experience the excessive, Fractal grind.
As of now, we get 6 Kuva missions, of which ONE is a Kuva Flood with a guarantied Relic drop. For the remaining 5, we only have a 30% chance of getting a relic. This means we have, Roughly, a 17% chance to get Nothing, 36% for 1 relic, 30% for 2, 13% for 3, 2.8% for 4, and only 0.2% for 5. Overall, Players will gain 1.5 relics from playing the 5 standard Kuva siphon missions. After that, you then have a roughly 32% chance of getting one of the Requiem mods as a solo player, or, for groups of 4, a 79% chance of getting at least 1 mod selection (40% for 1, 29% for 2, 9% for 3, and 1% for 4),
And this isn't accounting for the current state of lich's Stealing these mods.
Now to their credit, the mods do have 3 charges, rather than just one. But this doesn't solve the core issue: in order to prepare for the coming deluge of Lich farming, players either need to be farming while the lich is hounding them and other players, or stockpiling on a scale bordering on paranoia.

Now, as I said before, I'm okay with something like this being a mild consumable. However, if that is going to be the case, players still need a way to replenish these mods without the fractal grind & padding. For example, a Defiled Requiem Mods could be purified with Kuva: This would Create a 'Fight Fire with Fire' situation where the Lich could still steal from the players, without causing the grind to spiral out of proportion. and best of all, It still leaves the option of stockpiling mods in case the player does not have the required kuva to restore their Requiem mods.

    Second: Murmurs

Along side my first confrontation with a Kuva lich, there are testimonies of murmurs requiring 50+ Thralls to be executed in order to be completed. Considering the various codex fragments, Synthesis targets, and somachord fragments that litter the game, this feels like extreme overkill. We all understand that these lichs are supposed to be a long term threat, but this doesn't make it feel like a threat; it makes it feel like an annoyance. I personally used my lich appearing in mission to lure out more thralls in order to gain more murmur information, because as boring and tedious as it was, letting the lich beat me to a pulp sped up the process.

The obvious question then is 'How do we strip out the tedium?' One potential solution may come from the codex fragments; a niche mechanic that has, until now, only been used for hidden audio file related to in game lore. What if that mechanic was retrofitted to studying Requiem murmurs? As players gain more information from thralls, they can also use this system to try to cobble together the meaning of these bit of information. It would still allow for more brute force methods, while allowing players the option to come to their own conclusions. Not to mention, Requiem mods also have a small poem verse written on them, and could easily be hidden in incomplete murmurs as a clue to how best to kill your lich.

    Third: Confrontation.

Lich's are meant to be Challenging. And testing out Requiem combinations on a lich is supposed to be a Risk. However, Fear of death isn't much of risk in this game: I try stabbing my lich, I get killed for my effort and lose a revive, and then i complete my mission. It's honestly an annoying bore, and not a big deal. Having a " Press X to maybe DIE" mechanic isn't a challenge. it's just  frustration. And it also defeats part of the purpose of the update; to showcase these Hammy, intense, and potentially interesting villains. If death is my ultimate end for failure, I want to milk it for all its worth; Don't just kill us at the first failure: Make us choose if we want to risk it again! Wrong first Requiem? Transference static 1, taunting, round two as the lich gains a level.. Wrong second Requiem? Transference static 2, Final warning as the the lich grows stronger, Round 3. Wrong Final Requiem? NOW the player dies. 3 failures, a stronger lich, and at least an interesting fight.  And it puts the choice of what to do next into the players hands while upping the stakes for an overpowered adversary: Stay and fight, risking the lich growing stronger as you go, or retreat and save your strength for the final confrontation.

    Fourth: Flavor

Even with the custom stats, weapons, and appearance, the Kuva Lich in its current state feels more like a glorified field-boss: find the button to tick it off, and wait for the ensuing Fight. When trying to hunt this lich down, I want to see more of what makes them tick; is this for personal power? Bringing glory to the Grineer empire? the thrill of the hunt? Knowledge? What is this person doing to forward their goals aside from nebulous talk about "optimizing the local populace"?  Admittedly, this part is a bit lofty, as showing what exactly the lich is doing with the sectors under their control may require the addition or modification of tiles to show the exact nature of the lich's plans.
Aside from cosmetic changes to tiles and assets, having simple, secondary objectives would be an interesting way of conveying the lich's motives.

As I said before, the Kuva lich system is ambitious. I can never fault anyone for shooting for the stars, and I do see great potential for this new system. But between the excessive grind, unrefined research mechanics, and baseline interactions with this new enemy, this diamond in the rough need some serious Polish.

DE, Make me love to hate these Lich's; not loath even bringing them into existence. After all, Everyone love a good Villain.

"You'll have'ta' try a lot harder than that!" Svytoj said, Clenching his still twitching hand. "So, Who am I talking to today: A Pseudo-Tenno, Or a Pseudo-Orokin?" He asked, Looking around to see if his weapons were still near by (or on him if he was so fortunate.)

Outside the Galleon, A familiar patchwork ship finally came into weapons range.
"{I BETTER NOT FIND AN OLD WAR PROXY AND A CRACK CEPHALON UP THERE! THAT WOULD BE REALLY F&CKIN' ANNOYING!!!}"
P!ssed off and out of proper quips: Not a good situation for Acambria.

Abigail gave a look of surprise before getting punched in the face. She stumbled backwards, one hand covering her broken nose. Blood ran freely from it, and she glared at Svytoj. Then she vanished, slipping into the void.

Svytoj leapt from the table, pulling his frost with him, and slipping back inside the warframe.
VO- Β and Svytoj scoured the room, looking for the rogue Tenno: A ripple in the air, a misplaced shadow, Anything.

"I don't know her void signature off the top of my head," Sarah replied, only briefly glancing at the images, "But she'll be looking for any route for escape, or failing that, something to arm herself with. Fortunately, that narrows our options down significantly."

She burst through a set of doors, taking a right down a hallway with grineer rotary turrets hanging from the ceiling.

A sudden burst of pixels and sparks flashed around VO- Α Before he grabbled onto Sarah's arm, and made a 180 turn back towards where they  came from.

It was Abigail, blitzing towards him. The second she was in Svytoj's line of sight, she vanished, only to reappear right beside him. A cruel smirk was stretched across her face as she slammed one of her hands against his chest.

"What I'm offering is something between a work of art and a weapon. A conduit for continuity; stronger and hardier than the human body without being susceptible to the sentients. Warfame compatible, cephalon compatible, and Compliant to vast array of inbuilt weapons and utilities." The Intruder said seriously. "The one I'm hunting is A) the one that killed your High inquisitor. B) the one that was stolen from me; the Vessel of my continuity. And C) the last and Final lead to the tower responsible for making them. If you and your friends help me reign him in, I'll fill in the rest of the map." He was looking the Mesa square in the face, eyes locked. "Think about it; tailor made, resilient, and can go toe to toe with a Tenno. Plus, I bet it won't bat an eye if one of it's keys gets shattered. assuming you wanna go that way."

Other than getting punched in the chest, Svytoj seemed fine. Still, The attempt at transference stung: his left hand and right foot began to twitch as the aberrant signals bombarded him.
Sadly for Abigail, This wasn't enough to stop Svytoj, and VO- Β, from punching the psydo-tenno square in the nose.

With that one light tap, amplified sound waves filter out the other side, lighting up the contours of the room and its' contents like someone sprayed it with glow in the dark paint; the two frames visuals taking it all in as the sonar ripples out and back in.

The journey to the storage room wasn't especially long, and no opposition would be encountered. Every time the group encountered some sort of hull breach, snow would be piling up wherever there was space. The blizzard was only getting worse with time. There was little to no natural light outside, reducing visibility further.

Icicles hung from the ceiling, and frost covered every surface. As they continued, the temperature fluctuated every time they neared some sort of hull breach. In tue end, though, they would encounter few obstacles on the way to their destination.

When they actually did reach the storage room, the door was locked, and there was no sign anyone had moved through this corridor. The layer of frost wasn't disturbed (with the exception of the group's footprints).

"Alright, this is the place. Last scan shows the signature in that room. I'm also getting a heat signature overlapping with it, so I assume it's alive." Tycho reported. "All cameras inside are out, so I can't see a thing."

"I'm not a fan of splitting myself up. Too much can go wrong. I can talk to you through your comms, though. I mean, I'm doing it right now." Tycho explained. "Investigating the void signature in the storage room might be a good idea. It isn't too far from here."

"Fair enough." chegar said, tapping on his PDA for a bit. "Still, You should probably have some eyes going in; Stand by." with in moments, Tycho would be flooded with data from Chegar's helmet cam

Chegar looked to Efahz, and nodded.
"Alright. I'm gonna check out the storage area." Chegar said, un-slinging the Sobek from his back.

"Perhaps... Tarnas can't order me to do anything if he isn't concious." Tycho answered. "There are a couple of exploitable loopholes in my programming, so I guess it might work if you make sure he can't tell me to do anything."

Adrova started speaking over his comms, muttering something while walking away from the group.

"...We're making our way to the armory... Yes, we're going now..." It sounded like he was speaking to his team, not turning around to look at the protagonists (I'll stick by that name). A few moments later, four crewmen were standing in front of Adrova as he walked out of the command quarters. "We're going to raid the armory." He said quickly, momentairly turning around to face the protagonists before looking back at his team.

"Sorry about him." Efahz said quickly. "He's probably a tad stressed."

"I was listening in on your conversation about getting out of here earlier." Tycho said. "Hate to say it, but none of the ideas you mentioned are gonna work with our current resources. Not yet, at least."

"I might be able to do that, but I'm blind to several areas. Still, it might be better than nothing." Tycho explained. "I might be able to get you through some locked doors, but no guarantee there."

"Leveret, you should probably go with Chegar and the others. We still have no idea who's creating those void signatures." Efahz said. "Better safe than sorry. If we have Tycho monitoring security on the entire ship, it'll be easier to hold down the fort here."

"Makes sense. Just give me a moment to upload myself back to the ship." Tycho said. "This datapad barely has enough processing power to run a toaster. It's not fun." The datapad blinked a couple times, and Tycho went silent.

    2 hours ago, rabbitsandroses said:

Leveret gave Adrova a quick thumbs-up. He wanted to say something encouraging, but Adrova left before he could think of anything fitting for the situation.

"We're all a bit stressed at this point."

"I don't know about that. With the security team out getting weapons, the rest of the crew is in need of some extra protection. Having Tycho on lookout will help, but seeing things isn't enough defense-wise. Just let me stay behind so you don't have to wake anyone up. I can always head out after if they end up needing help."

Leveret rolled his shoulders again - Still sore, ugh - and looked at the map again. "Speaking of rest and stress, I don't remember you resting since we got here and you nearly died, Twice. You should take a break too. Maybe grab a blanket and curl up in the corner or something while I man the comms?"

Chegar Tapped his foot for a bit.
"..." He looked around the room, popped his neck, and returned to his normal, upright posture. "I can do some scouting, shouldn't be too much of an issue." he said to Leveret, before returning his attention to Tycho.
"I should have plenty of Data storage on this 'Frame for at least a part of you to hitch a ride, Tycho." He continued. "if you're up for it, I could use a few extra eyes out there."

in the corner of Sarah's hud, A small diagnostic feed comes online.

The Pixels and sparks fade as stream cuts off. Vo's form hovers away from Svytoj, slowly taking on the form of a Chroma as it walks over to Sarah.

Almost on cue, Svytoj groaned as he sat upright on the table.
"What the hell happened.?" he asked, rubbing his head, Pausing with a Start when he saw VO and Sarah. "What am I doing here? And...who is that...?" He looked around the room, now looking quite perplexed. "Uh...Sarah...What happened after we left the tower?"

    More Fragmentation.

Acambria wouldn't notice the Galleon arming its weapons for a while, still dashing about the Island trying to get back to his ship, and barging past several passers by in his fervor.

The clang never comes, the door seemingly falling onto a pillowy muffler with only the whooshing of displaced air betraying the falling slab of metal coming off it's hinges.

"You want to help, flip 'da chief's' face over there around before his wonderfully emotive scowl freezes in place." Celeste snarks as she turns around and hefts the door up, glad to have something to fiddle with outside the woefully unfurnished excuse for an officer's quarters.

"Random thought: if you want to ask for help, maybe locking them without an appropriate carrot dangling in front of them is a bad plan." she reproaches as she leans the door against the frame, blocking out most of the light and people inside from being peeped by any crew that weren't already catching forty winks. "Last bunch of people that locked me up certainly won't be doing that again as long as I still breathe."

Impromptu repair done she leans down and picks up the dismantled electronic lock, already busy picking it apart for wiring and parts. Ambient noise in the room picks up again, but still, not so much as a peep seems to escape the quarters.

"You... you want some big reward for this? Is that it? IS THAT IT?!" Adrova shouted at Celeste, finally snapping. "You want some reward for killing an insane scientist and the unholy amalgations of two freaks of nature? You think you deserve some reward beyond survival and whatever else you might find on this barren rock!?"

"Adrova, please-" Efahz said, interrupting the rant.

"SHUT UP! Clearly, saving lives means nothing to the kid. Of course she deserves a reward from the people TRYING NOT TO FREEZE AND STARVE AT THE SAME TIME!" His voice only got louder and louder as he continued. "You've done nothing but take from us, mock us, threatened us, and for what? Your help!? You said it yourself! You nearly died in your last encounter with the freak!"

"ENOUGH!!!" Chegar's voice damn near rattle the rafters in the room they all were stuck in, the light on his Warframe flashing violently.
He pointed a finger at Celeste
"YOU: This is NOT some scavenger hunt field trip. we are trapped in an icy hell, with some THING thrashing about out there; the only carrot being dangle ahead of anybody is surviving. I suggest you act like it." he then pointed at
Adrova."And YOU. You're barking and whimpering like some distressed terrier! You're doing EXACTLY What Tarnas and Clogori want you to do. Hell, you've even got me doing it now." Chegar lowered his hand back to his side.
"Both of you, Get your SH!T together. I'd rather we get to walk out of here than end up like hundreds of stories where the survivors lose their cool, turn on each other, and get killed by the beast on their heels."

"I want to help you. I genuinely do. I want everyone to make it out of this alive." Tycho explained. "Except for Clogori, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it."

Tycho paused for a moment again. Efahz kept scrolling through the list of files in fascination, seemingly ignoring the group now. Adrova glared at Celeste, arms crossed.

"I'm... sorry. I'll open the door. I just... wanted to talk to all of you in private. I'm sorry if I caused any more issues." Tycho apologized, a tinge of sadness in his voice. "Just. Please. Let me help you. I can be of help here." He pleaded. The door opens a bit before collapsing from Celeste's tinkering, falling onto the ground with a clang.

Finally, Chegar turned his attention to Tycho with a slight huff.
"Do you feel you'd be able to resist Tarnas if he directed you to do something?" Chegar asked, his tone returning to his normal demeanor. "As much as I want to let you help, if you can't resist him, the most we can to is give you a ride off planet in a data mass: no assisting us, nothing; not if Tarnas then has a way to attack us."
    Chegar now sounded melancholy.

Acambria was now on the opposite side of the island, and numerous grineer craft were landed here. A grim procession of what looked like refugees were being loaded into the large transports. Whenever a vessel was filled, the craft would take off with its cargo, transporting it to somewhere offworld.

This attracted a large degree of curiosity and confusion, but ultimately only that.

Svytoj was still unconscious on the table.
Several bursts of static clicked over Sarah's COMs: It looked like Chegar was trying to get a hold of her, urgently.

Acambria Carefully passed by the Grineer ships. He wasn't on the worst terms with them, But... well, you never know when one of the clones would go off script.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw some of the flashing pixels in fluttering around the street lamps.
    he sighed.
"Just ignore them, Bojaun... No good will come from that cracked cephalon..."
He kept walking passed the Grineer vessels.

"It's fine. I'll admit, it seemed a tad limited. No offense, but bodies are a tad restrictive." Tycho responded, pausing for a moment. "So... really did a number on Tarnas, didn't you?"

"I'd like to think so." Chegar said, hand now resting on the hilt of his nikana.

"I'm keeping that door locked for now, sorry." Tycho said. "I really don't want the crew finding out about me yet. Want to avoid a panic, you know?" Tycho didn't sound too concerned about Celeste at the moment, despite her disassembling the door with a surprising amount of efficiency.

"Alright, something else doesn't make sense." Efahz interrupted suddenly, looking at the projection again. "Why did Tarnas need half of this stuff? Why does this folder contain an entire terabyte of audio files?."

"On that note, any idea where Tarnas and his top hatted keeper ran off too?"

"Please don't." Said a familiar voice. "I'm sorry for the scare. I just need to talk to all of you."

Tycho was speaking through all of the audio devices in the room, giving his normally quiet voice an odd reverb. He sounded anxious, worried, and tired.

"So... uh... hi. I'm Tycho. AI, full-time assistant to Tarnas, and hundreds of other things." He said, introducing himself to those in the room whom he hadn't met yet. "After you beat Tarnas, I escaped into what was left of the ship's systems. When your friend got the security data, I hitched a ride. Now I'm here, I guess."

Efahz's previous anxiety was gone, and he ran over to the holoprojecter, typing into the datapad. A few moments later, the display of the ship was replaced by rapidly scrolling text. Files after files after files.

"This is... insane. How did you hide when I was looking through the data? As far as I know, I checked everything." Efahz asked, looking up at the scrolling text. "None of this makes sense. None of this."

"He's a crafty AI, given how bulky Tarnas made him." Chegar said, looking over at Efahz. "No offense, Tycho." He said, shifting his weight a bit. "Sorry about your new body, by the way: real shame."
