Yea, I've been getting this a lot, swapping to the operator removes all melee function for me, even subsequent use of the operator melee.

Not really a fan, the changes don't really seem to justify the title of "rework". The smokescreen alteration is a qol change at best (the ability itself could use a lot of work), the bladestorm alteration is really clunky and not useful in team play at all (all the feedback on the original ability centered on it's use of invulnerability frames, camera shake and bugs, a few requests for interactivity seem to have over ruled any real changes to usability) and the teleport change is... I dunno, meh tbh.
Please, of you were thinking of doing a Banshee rework soon, could you perhaps not ?

Gotta chime in with .... corrosive projection, only if the team all stands on ash's head (and you need a build that kills bladestorm if you want more than a few secs) and the target one is valid, if you don't have access to a well set up bow.

Every sortie since TWW patch I've had the 2k endo reward. It's a bit offputting.

Ok, I'm seeing some extreme dilution of sortie rewards, with bonus added "stuff noone wants", a severe nerf to kuva farming and a really slow and clunky replacement of bladestorm with what appears to be slowlyaimedpapercut.
All we need is more rng and we have a beaut of a patch.

I agree with this. It had a point when we were still on the Void system. With the introduction of void relics, it is entirely pointless beyond trying to get more money out of players when they release things from the void for a short time.
I would like to see Raids that, while incredibly hard to solo, allow soloing as an option.
The problem being, so few of the player base do the current raids that there would be literally no point in having them, if the rewards were available solo. They are so lacking in actual fun it's painful.

Sire, I feel your pain, I got one for a weapon I don't have, that adds stats it doesn't use and takes away damage (which it does).
Just throw it in the useless mods pile.

Just remember, DE are winging it, lore, the very game itself, is mutable, which is fun. It means they can at least redo the silly bits when they sober up.

Yea, the idea was terrible, the implementation is much, much worse.
The randomness is just creating pissed off people with mods for rubbish weapons while some are lucky enough to get a mod that does a meaningful buff to a better weapon.
It's rng for the sake of rng, some of the worse game design I've seen.

I wonder if Sheldon will ever claim in another devstream that he's heard the complaints about too much rng, and will do something about it.
Although, I suppose adding more rng, WAS doing something about it :P

The best thing about The War Within is that it showed The Second Dream quest was actually really good.
On the bright side, we have more rng and a new resource to farm awkwardly now.

These mods were a terrible idea, fortunately they were implemented so badly that they will generate a lot of player hate organically.
Several devstreams have made bold claims that you understand the player frustration with rng, and several updates have called lie to these claims.
You really need to rethink the almost slavish devotion to it.

It's not power creep: it's RNG creep.

The quest narrative is decent, the mechanics introduced are horrific: poorly explained, non existent operator ui.
The quest is also really, really buggy, as I just completed the final fight, the exit door didn't open, one CTD and annoyed relog later, I'm at the start of the fight again with the added bonus that the mobs are now immune to the operator stun and dash. You really need a proper QA section.

Was it worth it ? Nice quest, crappy new mod system, more bugs.
Early days yet, but on balance, "magic 8-ball says .........not really".

The other alternative is that DE has a networking problem, which they have a lot of history for.
They usually sort of fix it within a few hours though.

That could be it, I only use the operator mode on kuva grindfarm missions so it would make sense.
