You can build Chroma for his 2nd, 3th and 4th skill... because 1st skill simply sucks. I'll update this answer later at home.

According to the Warframe wikia, Chroma's 1st Ability, Spectral Scream, can do a maximum of 698 damage per second.

To put that into perspective, a Braton with a max rank Hellfire and rank 6 Serration outputs about 720 burst dps, and has a much longer range and does not consume energy while providing heat damage alongside it. Furthermore, it can be buffed by Chroma's Elemental Ward (toxin) and by Vex Armor's Fury (buffs weapon damage)

I think that's why people think it's useless, it does too little damage and consumes too much energy to be effective.

  2. Perhaps Warframe is a game about war. Real, bloody, cruel war. Right now I think THISS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING (jordas)

There is much that has happened, much that has been revealed, but even more that has not been explained. Aristotle once said "The more you know, the more you know you don't know" and I believe that's very applicable to the universe of Warframe. Perhaps a long time ago, we didn't know what Sentients were, we were unsure why Ordis called us an "Operator", or why he spoke of an "Old War". We didn't know who or what the Stalker was, or what we were. Through the War Within, the Second Dream, and other quests, we slowly learnt of our heritage as Tenno, and that as much benevolence hides in our shadow as does darkness dwell in its depths.

If we look back, we can see development of the story, in The New Strange we hear Chroma speak of "The Womb of the Sky", how it is "hushed and empty", we later find out this refers to Lua, the hiding place of the Tenno's real bodies.

In Natah, we first see Hunhow, and then we also see what a sentient could look like, these being reinforced by The Second Dream which features our first encounter with real sentient (scouts).

For a long time, many Grineer have spoke of "The (Twin) Queens", and only in The War Within do we see them.

We have also gained insight into Baro's childhood, the Red Veil's religion and some secrets like The Silver Grove or the Myconian Colony's existence.

And yet, as we get answers, we get more questions, mysteries that leave us thirsty for more answers.

Over the years, Warframe has evolved, more enemies, friends have been given to us, and it might be a build up for something massive.

Perhaps a few conspiracies about what's gonna happen (all speculations)

    Spoiler

The Grineer have lost one of their Queens and perhaps much of their will to fight with one leader gone, but now Kuva has been introduced, a dark material that could empower the Grineer to fight like never before. Perhaps in this time, the Queen may even turn to Tyl Regor for assistance, borrowing his blueprints for genetic superiority to create something monstrous...then clone it so it lives forever.

The Corpus are led by the Corpus Board, whose leader is Neffy, who speaks of The Void, The Void, profit, and--oh, did I mention The Void? We haven't even seen the rest of the Board yet, we've only seen Neffy and Alad. Over time, the Corpus went from birds and drones to kiwi tanks and The Razorback, powerful beasts that make other proxies cower in shame. Who knows how far Corpus technology will go? We've seen Fusion MOAs, empowered by the energy of the void, we've seen Zanuka, built from Warframe parts and we've certainly all seen Ambulas, a breed of Bursa with powerful weaponry. If we put all these together, and built an army of them, what would the Tenno do about it?

The Infested have a lot of explaining to do. A charger is an infested lancer(or something), a Leaper is an infested Crewman. What's an Ancient then? A Boiler? A Juggernaut? What is Lephantis? He/she's got Grineer, Corpus and Infested parts, but there's no indication of that. No resemblance, not abilities, nada. What could the Infested curse have taken over to get that hideous anyway? And what would the Tenno do if the infested took over the aforementioned future supersoldiers of the Grineer or Corpus?

The Sentients are still a bit of a mystery, but if I'm not wrong, the Sentients we fight on Lua are scouts, not the real deal. At the end of Natah, we see a giant skeleton getting blown up, and based on Eidolon having similar structures all around I assume that that is an actual Sentient soldier. It looks terrifying. What are we supposed to do when an army of them come after us?

So now, when all this develops, what's gonna happen? Everyone wants to kill everyone, and everyone wants to kill the Tenno. This is probably gonna be when real war breaks out, when civilians and innocents run and hide even though they know they're gonna die. When everyone starts devastating the planets and homelands in an effort to kill. When everyone fights...and loses. In war, nobody wins. Perhaps we might think we win, because we have killed the Grineer. Perhaps we are the victors, when Corpus lie dead at our feet. Perhaps we are conquerors, when Sentient bones litter the dirt. Perhaps...this makes us the worst people in the universe. We are murderers. We kill and kill and kill in an effort to get more powerful so we can kill better. Maybe one day, the game will let us know that. Someone may let us know that...

In conclusion, I feel Warframe is a game about war and all its malice. We kill because we are told to, because we want to get stronger. Almost everything revolves around killing, and we follow it numbly.

Take a step back, Tenno. Take a step back, humans. Who were we? Would we really kill someone? No, not a Grineer. Take someone you don't really know, a stranger, or perhaps that guy next door. Would you kill him? Would you kill him for a thousand bucks and a new gun so you can kill more people? We're getting desensitized by Warframe (and other violent games) by being told it's okay to take someone else's life.

In fact, who does that better than us Tenno? We space ninjas cut, stab, pound, slam, shoot, bludgeon and explodinate our way to victory on a daily basis, and take pleasure in it. Maybe one day, Warframe will take us aside and say "Tenno, look what you've done. Wake up. You're a horrible person." "Tenno, look how strong you are. What have you done with that strength?" "Tenno, consider what you have learned from those skirmishes. What have you learnt?"

Warframe will give us new content which may surprise, enrage or even frighten us. Surely the average Tenno would have felt something when Baro was neglected by Inaros, when Rell first tried to kill you, when you first saw who you really were. This game evokes emotion in us.

As we uncover the secrets of Warframe, how the conflict has developed before the Tenno awoke, we need to remember that it's not just the War Without us,

It's about the War Within us.

  7. I might have some time to draw now and then, so it's not really a hiatus anymore xD Anyways today I drew the main background for Episode 3! I decided that it's about damn time to give my animations some proper scenery, so here it is!

I also thought about giving my animation series a corny little name, so here's what I've settled on! (this logo is edited for episode 3!)
