  1. Is there a way to change the color of them like with Kubrows?  Because I really want a black kitten running around my Orbiter while my real black cat runs around my room as I play.

  2. I like to think that the Tenno appearing so young is a combination of Orokin being long lived (due to their technology), the void altering their biology, and cryosleep stopping them from aging.  I don't think they are all children, most of them probably, but not all.  The older ones still appearing young due to the unique nature of their biology, but mentally being adults.  There was a Tenno counsel, and a few of the weapons we use are of Tenno design.  So it would make sense for at least a few of them to be older, if only mentally.

It was not the Prime, if not the blueprints we recover in the quest must be of Inaros Prime. So, no. This "infestation attack" could happen at the same time Tenno rebelling against the Orokin.

All I'm saying is that an Inaros prime could theoretically exist.  The Inaros in the quest just happened to be a non-primed variant.

  4. That would be so cool.  I remember playing through Portal with the dev commentary and they talked about using larger portals to construct their levels.  Something to do with making it seem like the character was traveling large distances, when in reality, the actual area that was traversed was pretty small.  I don't remember the reason why they did it, but I believe it was to overcome some technical limitation.  Stuff like this is so fascinating.

I actually wouldn't mind if the razorback replaced the jackal, it will leave a long lasting impression on new players.

I don't think the lasting impression would be a good one.... Maybe put him in Pluto or Neptune, and then move the boss he replaced to Venus, then rework it so it's friendly to new players?  I really like the Razorback as a boss and would hate for him to be stuck as a one off (or once a year) event.

(Another reason to stop posting at midnight is I get paranoid I've phrased something badly that it sounds insulting. Rest assured, I didn't intended to imply you were dumb, just that you read the lore different than me which we've already acknowledged)

It's cool, it was 2am where I was when I posted, so I know what you mean lol

By saying them I think that the stalker was referring to being a puppet or a vehicle dependent on the tenno to move. I think the stalker once had a tenno that controlled him and through some kind of medium, the tenno was killed or disposed of. Look at the rhino codex. Maybe the tenno are like a restraint or a kind of remote control to keep the warframes sane or useable.

I do believe the warframes we utilize are kept in line by the Tenno.  Like you said, the Rhino Prime codex alludes to this, as well as 2 quests within the game (I have no idea how to use the spoiler thing so I'll just leave it at that).

You mean even after old-lore-Stalker very clearly made a huge, deliberate distinction between the Guardians and the Tenno?

I figured they were all guardians, and stalker was just a lower rank.  I never thought they might be two separate series of warframe.

  8. Never thought to differentiate the Tenno from the Guardians.  Perhaps the guardians are a newer series of warframe, weaker than the ones we use, but are designed to be absolutely loyal to the Orokin.

This is pure speculation, but entertaining the thought that Tenno were the soldiers used in the battle that everyone knew about, and the guardians being similar, (but not used to fight the sentients), I have a theory.  The guardians act as a form of secret police for the Orokin.

The Orokin have the Tenno fighting in the war, and that's great and all, but with the true nature of the Tenno being what it is, they probably predicted an uprising at some point, or at least a few of them to start questioning their creators once the fighting was over.  Having this in mind, they could have created the Guardians as a side project with the goal of creating warframes that were programmed to be completely loyal to the Orokin, no matter what, as well as giving them autonomy, eliminating the need of an operator.  This would 1) end the threat of rebellion (at least for the newer generation) and 2) give them some protection should a rebellion happen.

Now, there were Tenno tasked with protecting the Orokin, and that's great and all, but if you knew your bodyguard resented you and could easily kill you if he decided to, wouldn't you want some form of secret contingency plan?  That's what I figure the Guardian's main job was.  To protect the Orokin from the shadows.  They could have had other tasks as well, kind of like a special forces unit.  They'd handle missions that were meant to be kept hush hush.  (Missions dealing with the Sol system, Orokin and other stuff not related to fighting the sentients).

Now, going with the assumption that the guardians are a separate branch of "shadow" warframe, it would make sense that their "prime" variant would be something shadow related.  Umbra, the darkest part of a shadow.  An appropriate connotation if ever there was one.  Wether or not the Orokin designed actual Umbra warframes is up for debate, seeing as Stalker gets upgraded to one by Hunhow.  Or they did, and Stalker's upgrade is technically something else.  (Though his name does change from "Stalker" to "Shadow Stalker", if you catch my drift).

So, I think a Guardian is equivalent to a non-primed warframe (the ones we use, but are programmed to be loyal to the Orokin), and an Umbra (a form created through upgrading a Guardian), is the equivalent of a "primed" warframe.

Also, I view the Acolytes as the same as stalker (guardians) and on the same level as pre-Shadow Stalker.

Sure it's a joke to veterans like you and me, but what about newer players?

Imagine you're a new player, you picked Excalibur as your starter frame, you discover prime variants exist, and then you see someone offering to sell Excalibur Prime.

At that point it's not a joke, and a potential predator sale becomes reality.

But, wouldn't the seller's gig be up when they actually attempt the trade..?  The buyer would see that there are no Excal Prime parts being put up, which should cause the buyer to end the trade.  If you trade with someone without checking what you're getting before hitting accept, that's your fault.  If you see the seller is putting something different from what you are expecting in the trade window, and still go through with the trade, that's your fault.  If you trade with someone who "promises" something in return after the initial trade is completed, that's just unwise.  Unwise in any situation.  At worse, the new player's time is wasted.

If you dont have anything from that list and you have ca.800 dukates, what would you suggest to buy first? Primed mods?

Personally, I'd go for the sentinel.  You can only get it from the void trader, it cannot be traded between players, it'll give you more MR exp, and the weapon it comes with is one of the better sentinel weapons.  Worse comes to worse, you can farm some plat and trade for the weapons and mods with other players.  But if you miss out on the sentinel, there is literally no way of getting it until the void trader decides to bring it again (which could be a few months, or a few years).

Could be possible that Stalker is in this current state thanks to what the Tenno did to the Orokin. I imagine that not all of the Tenno would have survived the rebellion. The Orokin might have activated a contingency plan to kill off active Tenno while they were in Transference - Stalker could be one of the casualties.

That'd be pretty tragic.  A being that should have been killed by the hand of the Orokin, only to become a broken shadow of its former self.  Forever enslaved, to the ones who tried to steal his life.  Loyal to the beings who cursed his very existence.

My headcanon theory is that Stalker is a Tenno that probably lost his/her original body via death and is now possessing a Warframe as his/her new body.

Death of a Tenno could result in them becoming a ghost or a specter, like the ones seen on the Moon. I imagine they wander endlessly in search of a way back through the white vines on the moon, in The Void, and ETC.

    bayTLra.jpg

Those that somehow make it back would basically be revenants. A revenant is someone/something that returns from the dead, usually to settle unfinished business. I feel that the name of the mod and it featuring Stalker could be a big hint itself as to what Stalker is.

I believe it's possible that the ghosts on the Moon, Stalker, and the Specters of the Rail update might tie together to explain Warframes.

Holy crap, I never considered that.  That would actually make a lot of sense, except the part where he hates Tenno and himself.  Then again, maybe he never trusted Lotus and was always loyal to the Orokin?  Eh it actually could make sense.  I like this theory the most out of all the ones I've read.  I always figured he "hated himself" because he allowed himself to be controlled by Tenno at one point and now realizes he willfully lent himself over to what he now sees as the enemy.
