    The Corrupted

Think about it there are potentially millions or billions of hive mind controlled soldiers from all three main factions just loitering in there. He doesnt have to worry about weapons or armour as they are outfitted by the Towers. All he would need to to is hack the towers and take control of them, and of course open a portal to bring them out.

But you are saying that he couldnt as sentients aren't allowed to enter the Void and I have a retort.....Stalker. He is under Hunhows control and could use him to get to the towers.

I think Stalker working with Hunhow is more of a "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" kind of thing.

  2. Yeah, its coming in the second part of Update 19.  PC is still waiting for it and wont be getting it for a few weeks, which means its still a ways off for consoles.

The video below is the most recent devstream, where they discuss the second part of Update 19.

(also, you can edit your posts instead of creating a whole new one to fix stuff like typos)

even if they are not bug tested that's quite a feat!

They certainly are bug testing.  But I do agree with everything else you said.  DE is really kicking &#! right now.  Part of me wants update 19 to be done already just so they can relax a little lol.

  4. My guess is that the nullifier does not outright stop void energy from entering, but rather transmits a different frequency of void energy that disrupts the warframe's ability to control/cast it effectively.  For example, imagine the warframe as a person, void energy as a dog, and an ability (ember's fireball or something) as the dog doing a specific task like sitting.  Under normal circumstances, the person has no problem instructing the dog to sit, or roll over.  The dog is well trained and can the person clearly.   Now imagine if someone else (Nullifier Crewman) started playing SUPER loud music right next to the dog.  This makes it impossible for the dog to hear any of the person's commands.  The person tries telling the dog to sit, but since the dog can't hear, it just sits there (like the adorable being of pure love that it is) and stares at you without moving.  The dog is fully capable of sitting, but since it can't hear the command, it wont actually sit.

As for why damaging powers (fireballs, force lightning, etc.) might not damage bubbles themselves, I have a theory.  The warframes are refereed to as lenses, that focus void energy and a single Tenno is able to express their void powers in many different ways through a variety of warframes.  Pure void energy alone/unfocused, does not necessarily have the qualities and properties displayed when a warframe uses its abilities.  The warframes, when casting their abilities, take, and transform pure void energy into something different.  Ember for example, is designed to convert void energy into fire (or something very close to fire), which it then manipulates to suit its needs (the 4 different powers Ember possesses).  Nova is able to change it into anti-matter, Limbo uses it to bend space, Frost converts it into ice, etc.  Like how Goku uses his ki to create a kamehameha, or the ninja from Naruto using their chakra to spit fireballs.  However, even if the thing the warframe produces resembles something we recognize (fire, ice, water), it isn't 100% that thing.  The fireball Ember shoots is still void energy.  Yes it was molded and changed into what is basically fire, but it still void energy. (keep this in mind for my next point)

Now the nullifier bubbles are designed to undo this change.  They are the exact opposite of warframes.  Their bubble changes (or reverts?) what a warframe produces back into pure void energy.  (I assume by transmitting a different frequency or type of void energy that disrupts/destabilizes the changed energy, reverting it back into its original form).  So when the fireball makes contact with a nullifier's bubble, instead of hitting it and damaging the bubble, it actually passes through, changes from fire into unfocused void energy and dissipates harmlessly inside the bubble.  Mind you, raw void energy by itself is still harmful, but I assume the Corpus took that into consideration and outfitted the Nullifier Crewman's suit with proper protection. (like a hazmat suit or something)

That still doesnt explain how they work in game. Nullies should not disable powers that are placed outside the bouble, like MPrime Snowglobe and many other non channaled, placed abilities.

I tack this as unintended behavior on the games part.  I believe (could be wrong) that DE ended up making it so Frost's bubbles wouldn't disappear if Frost himself entered a nullifier's bubble.  So I assume this happening with other powers is unintended and will eventually be fixed in the future.

  5. Wouldn't newer players have a ton of other stuff to focus on?  They don't need to experience and unlock everything right away.  This obstetrical is simply a goal for you to work towards.

When Equinox dropped, I wanted her that day.  But I couldn't kill Tyl Regor.  I tried soloing him a few times and literally couldn't even scratch him.  I was so upset at him I decided the first time I would witness his defeat, it would be by my hand alone.  Sure I could get carried by a squad, but at this point it was a personal vendetta.  I wanted the satisfaction of ending him myself.

I spent the next 2 weeks acquiring Nova, maxing her (didn't know about Draco at the time), getting a reactor and a forma on her, maxing her again, and building weapons specifically to kill Tyl Regor.  Yes it sucked I couldn't play Equinox right away and Tyl seemed invincible to me at the time, but I persevered.  He was my personal enemy, he was my goal, my motivation.  And oh my, the sweet satisfaction I felt when I finally bested him in solo combat.  Sometimes it's about the journey, not the destination.  Players shouldn't stress about getting everything right away.  Take it easy and enjoy what you got, you'll get there eventually.

I do, and it's kind of weird to me to focus on a new shiny gamemode(what ever happened to arcwing, anyway?) instead of addressing bigger concerns within the game. But maybe I prioritize things differently.

Well archwing is getting a new movement system, I believe in Update 19 Part 2.

I'm still kind of miffed that we are using more Dev time towards PVP, which is a very small part of the game, instead of other projects. I just hope it won't be forced into my plate.

Different teams work on different parts of the game.  It is my understanding that there is a PvP team that only works on PvP content.  Also, just like the Conclave, Lunaru will be 100% optional with no impact to the PvE experience.

  8. My headcannon: Tenno locked in the second dream are similar to humans plugged into the matrix.  Their matrix bodies are not real, but the brain interprets it as being real, so if you die in the matrix you end up dying in the real world.  The Tenno believe they ARE the warframes, so when a frame dies, it still might damage them to some degree (be it psychological, or physical).  After they awaken, they are aware that the frame is just a platform they control, so there is a clear distinction between tenno and warframe.  Their minds wont interpret a frame dying as they themselves dying anymore.

    (END HEADCANNON)

In the case of Valkyr, Tenno can apparently feel what their warframes feel (to some degree at least).  So I don't look at Valk as the frame itself getting tortured, but rather the Tenno that is trapped within the frame is the one experiencing the torture.

Also, even if Alad isn't actually killing anyone, he's still stealing warframes...

  9. Originally it was supposed to be released shortly after the Chinese exclusive thing.  But DE eventually decided to tie Umbra into the lore rather than just put him in the game.  Twin Queens alone is big enough for this update.

DE hasn't hinted at Umbra being released anytime soon.  If anything, when they talk about Umbra, they sound like it's something they have barley worked on yet (in terms of how he will be introduced).  We've known about Umbra for a while because it wasn't originally going to be tied to a story quest.  There is no actual time frame that DE (as far as I know) gave us regarding Umbra since they decided he will be tied to a quest.

It looks to me like everyone here is just assuming that Umbra is coming with U19 without there being any proof or even hints to back up these claims.

If there is some actual proof out there let me know and I'll hop on the hype train with you guys.  But until then, I'm not expecting Umbra in this update.

It's not an excuse about can/cannot, it's about WeHaveaPileofOtherPressingTasks while human/time resources are limiter.

Finally, somebody that can see through the salt.  I agree with everyone else that its a tad disappointing, but given that they are neck deep in U19 right now and even canceled a Devstream to work on it, its not surprising this weapon lacks some new functionality (switching weapon types mid-mission).

  11. Patience my man, you can't get rich overnight.  Persist and you'll find some buyers eventually.  But as a tip, full sets are generally much easier to sell and usually go for more than individual pieces.  If anything, you could try completing your wyrm and bo sets and sell the whole thing for more than you payed.  Gotta get in touch with that inner corpus, profit is a way of life.
