  1. The idea that something has to be perfect to be good or useful, is just plainly wrong.

Cars are great, they're not perfect, plenty of people die every week because of cars. You know what's worse than cars? Not having cars.

And this sort of idea seems to pervade this community about balance. A game doesn't have to be perfectly balanced, a feature doesn't have to be perfect, things don't EVER have to be perfect. There is such a thing as "good enough" and "the good outweighs the bad", yet this forum is plagued by dumb statements about how "Warframe can never be perfectly balanced for PVP".

If this applies to you then you need to stop thinking in this black and white way, you're harming your own mind with this thinking and it will do you harm in your real life.

Am I the only one seeing this or am I just crazy?

You grabbed the rod from the burning end.

The problem is not that the game isn't good enough.

There is an issue with grindie, boring gameplay. And the problem is that the game is implemented as such.

After 1k playing hours (not just me, many old school players), like veterans coming back from war. We are burned out. We don't care about teamplay and noobs and stuff if we can stand at one location and use a macro to shoot with penta because we have to do this for 40 minutes in order to get our reward after 20-50runs on tower X Y.

Boss fights got really minimalistic challenges. With my soma perfectly modded I can kill any boss in mere seconds. I was at Vay Hek 4 times (was lucky, my friend had to go 50ish times to get the last part of you know whatframe). One time noobing, second time nailed him almost alone with 3noobs. Easy as onetwothree.

Have you played Dark Sector PVP? I did its a big facepalm currently. Rhino running around one hit melee killing everyone. Vauban holding all the enemy team alone. It doesn't requires teamplay to play a team based pvp in warframe.

The problem that the game is built on simplistic rules, grindie logic that rewarding players who does it like that.

Once the developers start implementing some more thoughtful gameplay then they have to start teaching the community to be teamplayers and look out for each other.

What I mean is that the game is not built around having fun. It's built around rewarding for being in the game for long(er). That is not fun like...ever?

  2. Actually... The confusion I had is that I had to go back to codex and click begin quest.

I think if the Kubrows matured the quest should automatically pop up and lotus should notify the player that now he need to do a follow up mission for the collar. In my mind I was waiting for some kind of confirmation that he/she is mature enough now but I had no feedback at all.

  3. First time ever I wanted to try PvP in wf yesterday. I thought I use Loki and snipe from the far behind a bit stealthed. I couldn't even go into stealth, and my sniper (crit build latron prime) felt like a pea shooter from plants vs. Zombies 2. I was facepalmed by rhinos in iron skin constantly. They just ran around withouth issues and one hitting me with melee. That was more than enough PvP for me in this game for an eternity thank you! Never again!

  4. Critical issue: Unable to advance in quest mission, invasion/alert is blocking the node!

Please fix this ASAP, unable to select the quest mission on a node where is currently invasion taling place!

Issue with the conversation on the ship after coming back from quest mission find an egg. I came back numerous times without an egg but Lotus and my ship's AI were constantly telling me that I got the egg and lets put it into its place.

Issue with the ship's AI conversation after receiving an egg from mission: I was succesfull getting an egg but the other prerequisites were not met to start the hatching or "growing" part of the kubrows. Then my AI started telling me that "look how cute it is..." and stuff. :D

  5. So, basically... make it the deth machine rifle.

How much crit do you really NEED on your sentinel?

It's a safe assumption that either it's misreporting the percents, or simply not intended to go any higher.

Yeah, the weapon has travel time.  So...  that's a thing that will necessarily happen at long range.

Excuse me but what do you mean not intended to go higher... if I have a mod card that simple say rifle crit +x% then I expect it to work if its a rifle. This is the mod's rule this is how it supposed to work. That mod should work on all rifles and its working on all other sentinels too. I really have big issues seeing your logic at all mate.

I'm saying it again, mid range, the inaccuracy is constant. Not long range, mid range. You seriously need a video proof about such a simple issue you wouldn't believe me unless you see a video about this?

  6. Honestly credits aren't really a problem once you get to the somewhat "late-game." As for the common mod rewards... Transmutation used to include warframe abilities and such (aka useless mods). With a certain update they removed those mods from transmutation thus making it much more viable. To balance it out they gave rare mod transmutation a chance to reward common or uncommon mods too. I know it's annoying but it keeps it a bit balanced.

Aaand you're completely telling untruthful information that you believe its true.

DESteve commented on this more than a year ago in a live stream. If you transmute 4 rares the outcome should be always rare.

Since then I raised the topic over and over for more than a year now. Numerous support tickets, numerous topics.

The issue is overlooked, not cared about at all. It's a known bug, known issue with probably broken rarity detection.

They leave it like this even though I got support responses that "they look into it ASAP" then they closed my tickets numerous times.

This is the reason why I never trust what DE say. I love the game but If someone say something on livestream that cannot be trusted in honesty, they change their minds and point of view just as much as the wind changes direction...

  7. If you can show me a single update that has not had bug fixes I will agree.

Bugfixes mostly related to cosmetic issues, sound bugs, and some newly appeared critical frame or weapon bugs -that is agan, most of the time cosmetic-.

Real bugs are with us for more than a year. I won't go into details I voiced my opinions dozens of times and I share the view of the op strongly.

  8. The good age old topic. Thanks for bringing it up again with such an energetic and meaningful post.

I completely agree with all of this and waiting for _similar_ changes over the year(s)...

But unfortunately I'm pessimistic toward DE's position about the whole of his, you see the issue is simple:

They are the parents, they think they know what is good for the child...

But we are the ones playing it over and over and most of the mechanics are just constructed and planned badly, thats what it is. But DE can't hear it since they are blind toward their child.

Shame, could be lightyears of a better game than what it is.

Let's hope that we get some more drastic change later on toward the positive...

    /Thumbs up

  9. Having not seen a response from you over these last couple hours, I presume you don't care about the thread anymore. But, out of extreme boredom and my want to elaborate, I'll break down what you're saying and try to make discussion!

I'm not at my pc all the time.

-Quick Melee is supposed to be a... Well, quick attack. Going into your Melee Stance is supposed to serve as a more interesting, interactive method of using Melee. The animations won't mesh quite as well due to it having a combo system, which Quick Melee lacks. That comes up with virtually any game with something akin to Combos.

If I push quick attack constantly on most of my weapons I attack twice 3x faster just slashing my weapon. Going into melee stance and hitting constantly attack button, without caring about combos, the general animation on most of the weapons got flashy character moves FOR NORMAL ATTACK on second and third hit. Those attack speeds are 2-3 times slower than me whacking my quick melee. And you can't abort, stop move out from these melee only, normal attacks. This is illogical, buggy and render my ninja to a silly AI controlled enemy's level. I can only look at the screen and either try to hit my attack to continue attacking and hope no one gives me some serious injuries or wait for the animation to stop and get the hell out of that area quickly and swap to my main weapon.

"-Whilst I agree that your Combo Counter fades rather quickly"...

I rather just use my aoe abilities or weapons. I would love to use my melee if the counter would be viable, would be fun, if I can use my warframe abilities between some fights while I run over to the next group. Not talking about "not killing fast enough", I'm talking about the fact that it just doesn't worth a thing when you see two or three separate groups scattered in a hallway or a group. You kill a group and you make 3 steps the counter resets, you can't get to the next group with the stacks active. Unless you play rhino or excalibur and you dash or charge to them (or loki and teleport swap an enemy). And the counter's goal would be just that, to give you an extra dmg boost vs. big group of enemies even if they are scattered and give you the option of "constant dmg boost and constant melee. That isn't happening right now.

-Some Combos are rather slow, but most have an added benefit, such as affecting multiple foes in the swing's arc, acting as if you just did a Mid-Air attack, or having greater lateral movement. As for your observation of no one using it, that is likely to be a symptom of gun-play being easier and, ussualy, more efficient.

I achieve multi hit, arc and AOE attacks with with 90% of my weapons anyways, hitting quick melee attack thank you very much, so this is again another advertised feature with really no extra benefit. Sounds good but the taste is... :S

-I find them quite the contrary. Reflex Coil, Killing Blow, and Pressure Point can make or break a weapon. Nearly any weapon with those mods can pump out quite a lot of damage in a very short time, and with minimal energy cost. Killing Blow alone makes Channeling cost a single point of Energy per strike that lands, making it efficient in multiple ways.

If you try to build a weapon toward quick melee, not considering channeling, and melee stance, you can only use the bare minimum mods, with dmg type mods like impact, fire, vs. corpus, crit, etc. I mean there are no fun mods unless you go into melee stance. The channeling mods now useless if you won't use melee as main weapon. I never have to put a forma in any of my melee weapons ever, just a catalyst and a stance mod I add to them. I end up having extra 7-15mod points unspent on many of my weapons. If you consider quick melee use just as important part of the melee system then you can see its lacking badly now.

Yes I understand they wanna push us toward swapping to melee but with such blocky and slow animations, quick-fading stack timer, slow melee swap it is -to me- is just frustrating that I imagine a combat beforehand and then I swap to my mele and the end result is way slower and way different than it should.

And for me all weapons so far as melee are fun and cool, but this sword and shield that really weak addition forcing us to try to use an already very flawed melee system. Sure, not everyone agrees with me, I get it and I accept all opinions. If melee would work much more viable probably even for me the shield and sword would be fun, not sure. In current form is out of the question that I'll use it (level it up sure, I'll put it on my back will look cool, then on rank 30 ditching it if my inv. slot is needed for something else, although I'm a collector of unique weapons LOL contradicting myself a bit there :D But not gonna use it in reall fights thats for sure and that would be the real purpose of such weapon I suppose)

Edit: Ehh my english, sorry about that, reformatting sorry I was too hasty. :D

  10. I know every parent is crazy when they say something bad toward their children, so is DE closes eyes and ears when we try and try and try telling them that something need to be fixed/changed...

Pushing us to do melee only because they think its awesome is getting really too much now for me with this shield and sword. Are we going to turn from ninjas to ninja-knight-paladins-assassin now?

Melee only is not viable, until:

-Animation speed is not exactly as fast and non-blocky as quick melee attacks

-Stacks go away way too fast. You can't use an ability then continue attacking enemies, let alone jump to another group of enemies without resetting the stacks. You are powerful for a second with your stacks... great. :S

-Melee combos are way too slow to be used efficiently. So far since u13 launched I didn't see one player doing combos in any of my games. Not one, ever!

-I won't even start on the mods, most of the melee mods now totally inefficient.

Replace quick melee with the normal melee system and then you make it a tiny bit more viable. But combos are failed as it is.

Making this shield and sword for animator and design standpoint is sure exciting. For us players using it is really sounds cool to developers in an environment with laser rifles and shotguns and flamethowers?!! X.x

  11. I just don't understand why they say "opened the vault". I get it, they put new discontinued weapon bps in the vault now if you open it you get a bp (AND/OR?) a corrupted mod.

But why say "opened the vault"? They opened the vault once for this special reward -the machete-? To me the phrasing is VERY confusing.

  12. Ok so can someone explain what is this news mean that they've opened the vault? I watched livestream and they were talking about adding new bps and stuff to it. This occurred with last update then (I see the similar but vague message in patch info news, something with opened vault)?

I thought they ment that no more vault keys so when you go there you just click to open it. But its not so not sure why they used term opened the vault...

Thanks in advance for any info :D

  13. The issue is with the logic of failed mission. The people who stay got the right to continue to do so even if the host decide to leave. Just utter slap on our face.

Then you can also start mentioning the technical reasons that many times make the team loose the host and then loose the whole mission as failed.

People telling me its fine and this is how they make keys non-reusable (they keep saying this utter nonsense even when noone able to connect anyways after the 5th wave since the mission status changes to completed).
