  1. Same question as last time; Will atmosphere based Archguns get any love? Something akin to to removing stamina was for melee. Free up these weapons as their own play style, don't punish or limit the use of them and make them more comparable to snipers/shotguns. You can't use them in any mode that limits gear items as well which further pushes these weapons into gimmick territory. If we do end up getting a prime archgun I can see a lot of hate coming from the fact that they're novelty items on a cooldown.

  2. No depleted reload exilus huh? I understand reload speed can directly effect dps but seeing as how this mod mainly exists as a utility option to restrict Vectis Prime's magazine so you don't need to press R after every shot; it hurts knowing it will still take a basic mod slot to make this thing handle like its non-prime predecessor. Would have loved removing/reducing the reload speed on it to allow it to be an exilus mod.

Sounds, great, wonderful even, but what if I want both "Energy and Endurance"

The new system would be based more on long term progression, allowing you to eventually work towards bonuses from all Focus trees and using them at the same time. Think Diablo 3's paragon system but you would choose where your experience is going via lenses, an actual limit and not as game-changing when everything is maxed out.

The default Valkyr we have now should be separate from the Gersemi and the prime version. Gersemi > Valkyr Prime.

Again, DE screwed up real bad and i'm surprised there's not much people pissed about it like i am.

Except that lore also hints that Primes are among the first, so how could Gersemi be the first? I'd rather see the Gersemi be the results of the Orokin needing more Valkyr without the use of constraints or torture.

  5. Just now, Stoner74 said:

No, Gersemi is the original valkyr. In game decritpion of Gersemi skin: "Before Alad V, before the experiments, there was Gersemi Valkyr".

We could always interpret it as Gersemi is before the base (Alad V) Valkyr but we both know it lacks the Orokin style, but the Prime Valkyr could be the one that allowed the Gersemi to exist as a non-tortured frame.

But is changing the lore to hide a mistake wrong? I personally think it is.

I believe it can be, but only if it straight out contradicts what was originally lore. If Alad torturing Valkyr is still canon but his reasoning for doing so being a bit different than it is only a bit of an issue.

  7. During the devstream the team quickly mentioned "why did we chose the Alad valkyr over the gersemi valkyr?" with no actual answer yet, but they know it's a lore hiccup. Perhaps they'll go the Braton route of recreation. Perhaps they'll change it so Alad was retracing the steps (torture?) the Orokin did to make Valkyr? Since we already know corpus have designed things based on Orokin tech before.

Didn't I say we'll have to wait to see what the prime version is like? Someone with my name posted that I'm sure. So clearly I dont' have remember that I said it. Venka are still trash, the prime may or may not be.

My point was that they are crappy and other primes have shown that simple number changes can make them amazing. Sorry if me commenting to what you said in a public forum threatened your way of life or something.

So... it's mediocore. you can't just classify good weapons as "broken" so you can call mediocre weapons good. Venka are near the bottom of the pile for melee weapons, they really are just bad, so even calling them mediocre is a stretch if you eliminate very good (broken) weapons. Venka, as they are now are pretty much trash. We'll see what priming does for them.

Gotta remember that the base Galatine was pretty crap after the original melee charge removal, but priming it caused it to be one of; if not the highest DPS melee weapon in the game. All that really matters when it comes to new prime melees is that their stances don't suck.

TFW people whine and cry about Valkyr Prime being a 'fanservice moneygrab' but then completely disregard Nekros Prime ?

Uh, wasn't Nekros still within release order? Don't get me wrong, I love Valkyr and I'm looking forward to her prime but I think some people are just salty Banshee is an extremely forgettable frame; even by the Devs.

  11. Very few Primes are harder to mod (Some have confusing polarities), most are easier but their gameplay should all be the same with some buffed base stats. If you have the materials and pieces to build a Prime of a Warframe you enjoy then there should be no downside other than possibly an empty resource pool afterwards.

  12. I wouldn't mind Excal P getting some of the Excal Umbra P assets we won't be getting.

But don't you ever think of giving Excalibur Prime more of a gameplay advantage, he's more of a status symbol than a gameplay advantage and I never want that type of exclusive advantage for money to exist in warframe whether I have it or not.

So people who bought lenses and farmed sorites to make lenses and maxed out a school lose all their hard earned focus? After 12 million focus points farmed in say Naramon, they get what, a little speed boost? No thank you. I hate the operator and it's ridiculously bad mechanics. It adds nothing to warfame. I plan to ignore it as long as i can until DE forces it's use on more than kuva farming. If they took focus out of warframes after selling lenses and people farming for a over a year they'd be crucified.

I suppose it's my bad for not going as in-depth into the trees as I should have. I never meant to imply that this system would remove the bonuses you worked for, but instead make it so you're not stuck into getting one school's bonuses at a time. All of the mind spike effects (Using it on allies to grant crit or invis, on enemies to confuse) would be implemented into the void dash and the personal crit rating or invis on crits would be added to passives within the tree that also affect the Operator (+Crit after entering void mode as operator, +invis on critting as warframe as a passive for example) but you would no longer need to wait for your Focus bar to fill up to start gaining these effects; you'd simply have them from the mission's start.

All I want is for the focus portions to change from the current focus "floaty" form into operator with all of the Warframe's passives that we currently get staying intact and no longer needing to be triggered.

that way, we can have a different kind of ultimate where atlas covers himself with rocks, making him a living rumbler that is a toggle ability and gives all the benefits of a rumbler in atlas as well as allowing him to throw stones at enemies.

I don't mean any disrespect but I would absolutely hate that, I'm against anything that covers up the appearance of your frame. My suggestions in the OP aims to keep gameplay about the same for Atlas while making him end-game (high level) viable, as i find Atlas very fun but much too squishy to use all of his close range abilities once you pass level 40.

Perhaps instead of granting a damaging aura like world on fire, Atlas sends rocky projectiles out whenever he is struck or shot while his ultimate is active?

  15. I completely agree that Focus is a stepping stone towards Transference, though I believe that for a different reason. I see Focus more as a development stepping stone towards the system introduced in The War Within. Invulnerability, three minute cooldowns and buffs that only activate after using focus are all (IMO) unfun concepts. I believe that with the Operator having all these different abilities at his disposal from the beginning and the passives being innate for both the Warframe and the Operator from the start of the mission that the Focus system could be designed with Transference in mind and not as a single long cooldown ability that is exclusive to each of the schools.

The way Focus currently works rewards investing in only one school and that one only. Investing in others is simply a waste of Affinity/Focus as you can only use one at a time. With my suggested changes each school would have their own return in investment and make getting lenses of all types more rewarding. This would allow the buffs that occur shortly after using focus to be reworked.

Instead of Zenurik being just the Void Pulse ability, you instead gain a passive to points into that would cause your Void Blast to lift targets for a duration based on the points implemented. Instead of Madurai giving you the Phoenix Gate ability, you instead gain an ability that increases your Void Beam damage and other's that split the beam.

Other brand new passives could be brought in that make your Warframe fight like a specter while you are using transference, with points past the first increasing the Warframe's stats while it's in "auto-pilot" mode.

All of this would also give incentive for players to invest in all of the Schools as each one would be a new way to power up your Operator, instead of using one and being done with the system after you max the single School out.

  16. THIS POST WILL INCLUDE WAR WITHIN SPOILERS.

First I wanted start off with focus and how I feel it should be changed to involve the Transference system, this is a multi-step suggestion that involves removing some aspects and fundamentally changing others.

-Remove current "Focus" mechanic, leaving only transference. Becoming the Operator should (in my opinion) be restricted to the on-foot well made mechanics that were introduced in the War Within.

-Change the current schools to each be a specialization that mostly affects the operator and to a lesser degree, their "Warframes".

-"Madurai" becomes "Power", increasing the operator's damage and focusing on the Void Beam ability.

-"Zenurik" becomes "Energy", increasing the amount of Void energy the Operator has and giving them shields.

-"Unairu" becomes "Control", increasing the levels of crowd control the Operator wields and focusing on the Void Blast ability.

-"Vazarin" becomes "Endurance". increasing the Operator's health and directly decreasing the amount of damage they take.

-"Naramon" becomes "Speed" increasing the Operator's movement abilities and focusing on both Void Dash and Void Mode.

Within these trees are passives that focus on empowering the Operator and slightly buffing the Warframe they control. For example a passive that could be within the "Endurace" (Vazarin) tree would increase the Operator's health by 20%, but the Warframe's by 1%. Additionally these passives would start out cheaper than current Focus passives but would include many more levels (Twenty levels instead of three).

This would mean the system would be very important for those who wish to use the Transference system but still include some progression via non-rng grind to those who favor only Warframes.

Now "Atlas", this would be an in-depth change to allow him to go further towards end-game and fortify his position as the "Brawler" or "Titan/Earth" frame.

-Removal of Atlas' current passive and ultimate, or in other terms "switching places" with eachother.

-Atlas' new passive "Rumblers" builds stacks from every one of his abilities (explained later) and at a certain amount of stacks (10 for this example, reduced or increased based on efficiency) spawns one rumbler. These rumblers act as they currently do, but are summoned one at a time.

-Atlas' new ultimate "The World". Atlas carries the weight of the world with him, crushing his enemies and weighing him down. A channeled ultimate much like "World on Fire", The World causes Atlas to be immune to knockdowns while his feet are on the ground, additionally deals damage and knocks down nearby enemies and regenerating a percent of Atlas' health per second based on power strength. This ultimate would allow him to get close to use his abilities and allow him to survive where he could not before.

-Landslide now grants Atlas a charge of "Rumblers" whenever he completes his three hit combo, allowing him to passively summon his stone guardians through combat.

-Tectonics now grants Atlas a charge of "Rumblers" whenever a wall loses 20% of its HP, allowing Atlas to passively summon his stone guardians while on the defensive.

-Petrify now grans Atlas a charge of "Rumblers" whenever a petrified enemy is killed, allowing Atlas to passively summon his stone guardians while crowd controlling for himself or allies.

These changes aim to make atlas more sturdy and disruptive in crowds while still keeping the Pet aspect he currently has. This also aims to make each and every one of his basic abilities useful for summoning his Rumblers while keeping their base mechanics the same.

i would love some feedback from you guys, as i put quite a bit of though into these changes. Even the most negative feedback is welcome! :D

It's not that it can't,  it's that it would require ALOT of work for DE to accomplish and probably wouldn't reap enough reward. Working on mobile hardware is not the same as desktop/console class hardware

While it's true that mobile hardware often forces developers to put extra effort in or even one-sided compromises; the Switch is based on similar hardware to the Nvidia shield which can already run Warframe as a PC program without any direct modifications to the engine. I believe the main issue would be if DE would want to put yet another console on their list of patch development

a whole new audience of people asking for excal prime, complaining about console exclusives, complaints about update gaps, Switch exclusive stuff that nintendo will demand (like a stand alone frame that's essentially mario).....yea i think we're good without nintendo in the mix.

I agree, I bought into being a Founder under the expectations that DE never attempt to further their horizons or expand their playerbase. :^)
