  1. There isn't much chance of it. Even though Warframe has changed leaps and bounds it is a very dated game.

DLC  Purchase won't make much sense because it divides the community. EA it self has moved away from that policy as you can see in Battlefront 2 where all maps are released to everyone.

We actually have lots of Lootboxes and Surprise mechanics already. That is what Relics \ Caches are.
Also every map is based on RNG reward system.

Garunteed item for some drops is about 500 attempts already. So we already have heavy grind. ( Keeping in mind Garunteed doesn't mean same as the chance to get it - most people get it within 50 )

Sorry to correct you in this.  They are more than viable. When someone is telling you otherwise: Do NOT listen to him. Slash is with Toxin and Gas the best effects you can have.

Slash \ Puncture \ Impact are not elemental effects - which is why I never mentioned them.

Even then Puncture and Impact are pointless - high impact can followed by a meele finisher on knock down incase of Hammers but because of the extremely long animation it is a death sentence in high zones.

More importantly gas is a Compound effect of Heat + Toxin and cannot proc against shields.

This sounds interesting but has the notable drawback of status based slow firing weapons, how would you help Status focused bows, shotguns that can't hit 100% status before multishot and snipers with high status? There are plenty of Status weapons that don't fire fast enough to impart those required 10 stacks, making them balanced heavily in favor of fast firing status weapons, or even fast firing weapons with mediocre to low status.

A Viper can land those 10 status procs despite having pathetic status faster than a Daikyu can. If electricity can bring resistance into the negative a whole new can of worms is opened too.

While your point is true - you forget certain abilities and mods give 100% status chance on use.
Tweaking those mods and abilities to grant multiple stacks as well would balance slow firing weapons.

  3. Status Effects is an interesting way to add new mechanics to damage enemies the problem is certain status effects are underwhelming ( magnetic ) and basic status effects ( Besides Toxin ) are not even considered viable. While other status effects are almost always used ( Radiation \ Corrosive ).

I feel like Status Effects needs another look at, for example my suggestions

Toxin - applies DoT toxin damage - when 10 stacks of toxin are on an individual causes abilities to be disabled and cool down of abilities to be reset and doubled.
Fire - applies DoT fire damage - when 10 stacks of fire are on an individual armor gets reduced by 10% per second.
Cold -applies DoT Frostbite damage and enemy is slowed - when 10 stacks of cold are applied enemy temporarily freezes and impact damage against it is always crit.
Electric - Applies flat damage - at 10 stacks enemies are stunned then knocked down. Decreases resistance to electric damage by 10% every 5 stacks. Damage against shield is doubled.

Viral - Reduces hp by 50% - when an enemy dies to viral damage 25% chance to spawn a Larva that health leech for Tenno
Radiation - Applies confusion at Death causes AoE damage based based on overkill damage
Magnetic - Applies Blind to Infested and Corpus - Aim accuracy drops by 80%. Applies Magnetize to Grineer causing them to take more damage from bullet weapons.
Gas - Applies DoT toxin damage - causes a gas cloud to appear on Death for 3s. If an enemy on Fire enters gas cloud - causes an explosion applying 20 stacks of fire to any enemy caught in blast radius.

The fact that i can get forma (in fact i have 40 something in my inventory, been using them a bit heavily recently) doesn't change how much they cost. I grow fruit in my orchard, its free for me, but doesn't change the fact that it has a monetary value.

I'm thinking you're living life wrong if you didn't learn this by now.

Also, you didn't get 8 forma, you got 8 blueprints, now you need to craft them, and it takes 24h each. Assuming you have the mats... Which for me, at 200+ orokin cells last time i bothered to check, is as easy as clicking on the recipe, others not so much...

Oh, why are you playing games? Time has monetary value. You seem to be wasting time playing Warframe.

I keep crafting Forma every day I login, so I am running a large supply.
People who know how to play don't complain, only those that do things inefficiently.

If a product doesn't work, you don't keep using it. Duh!

Twitch is not something you "stop using" for a no name alternative.

That is like saying you no Longer Accept Visa or Mastercard for payments and now only accept "Orange Card" cause too many people keep using stolen visa cards.

Twitch is an extremely popular platform, its the players which are impatient.

Yeah i do, and so what? I'm going to waste the equivalent to around 2€ adding forma to a useless weapon to gain half the standing equivalent to what will award me those 2€ back? is that your argument? Waste resources, for a completely inadequate reward for your effort, on something you don't want. And that's you also assuming that all of us keep buying weapon slots and don't just sell off all the crappy weapons and just keep the ones we have already forma'd.
You're doing the same as everyone else, assume that your way of playing is the only way of playing, and that those that don't are just inadequate. I'm looking at this with a bit of a wider lens.
Huh? What? How is that relevant? If i don't complete the forma challenge, i'll have it again in the next week? How does that help anyone? Its not going to generate new challenges, it's going to let you do INCOMPLETE ones. That's got to be the most useless argument i've ever seen...

Why are you spending $2? You know you can get forma from relics right?

I got like 8 forma in an hour.

You seem to be playing the game all wrong.

    Come on DE...
Forma and Gild on the same week? The two worse challenges in the whole Nightwave cycle, and yes that's way worse than doing anything "with a friend". How do you look at the game data and see players gilding items every week? Or EVERYONE using 3 Forma every week? Because that's pretty much the metric you should have for NON-ELITE challenges. And yet here we are...

Most players will have a ton of level 30 weapons or warframes. Adding forma to 3 is not that hard at all.
Also the new system if you forget will let you complete 3 previous incomplete challenges from the last week.

Welcome to the game, your'e a space kid....... ummmm btw surprise(?) you're a space kid?

Actually all it shows is the girl offering a "sacrafice" to the old warframes hoping they will come back to save her.
More importantly within the first hour you make a new character you are likely going to interact with a person who switches into operator mode anyway in some mission or another.

You would think the techs (both at DE and Twitch) would grow a brain and realize (after 3 years of trying) that 300k viewers is a bit much for the Twitch-Drop system and something needs reworked or supported for special events like this.

Insanity: Doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results.

    I got a question.

You said "DE Should grow a Brain"

But does DE own Twitch? or can make changes to Twitch? After all the limiting factor is Twitch supplying the information to Warframe.

  10. The Faction Screen where you interact with various Factions ( Arbiters, New Loka, Etc ) in your ship can become hard locked if you start pressing "ESC" button from "Offerings".

If pressed fast enough the UI locks out and gets "smushed" together resulting in a total lockout. The user will not be able to do interact with Any UI elements. Menu is not accessible. The only option is to quit the game.

  11. Issue:

Black Screen ( except chat box ) can appear on the client if

Host starts mission selection before client finishes loading ontop the ship.

After the client closes the score screen, a black screen will appear.

The screen is simply a black layer as the player can still "click" on the invisible navigation bar on top and interact with the Hidden UI elements under the black screen.

This is resolved only by 2 ways.

    1. The player quits the game

    2. The Host starts the next mission

The client though is essentially "Held Hostage"

    Likely Cause:

This probably happens because The Navigation overlay to "accept next mission"  is trying to appear above the Score screen.

  12. If a Host Migration occurs while exiting PoE for the Client.

The Client receives 0 rewards from PoE and considered a mission failure ( For Open World )

    Possible Solution:

Upon Exiting -> Handshake with Server -> Sends mission results to server FIRST ( Primary ) before even starting a connection to Cetus to handover.
Then once mission results and items have been sent and confirmed. ONLY THEN BEGIN sending players to connect to Cetus. This will cause a more delay in loading, but only by a few seconds. What is more important all players get rewarded that they spend 30+ minutes on a mission for? Or a few seconds cutting loading time.

Why is this the best solution? All Clients will get rewarded even if host migration ( Due to non crashes )  occurs because the server can then simply send information to the client after migration.

BUG Should be classified as High, considering it has been around for ages.
While this does not solve all host migration issues - it does solve one variant of it.

What a weird way to complain about something. Locking your actual point behind understanding an obscure reference, making that reference the crux of your post, then having to drag people though several paragraphs just to understand what you're trying to say about Warframe.

Just tell us you think the new UI is overly cluttered with fancy art and doesn't display pertinent information clearly enough. That's not a difficult concept to grasp, and your reference to a long-dead browser just makes reading this post a struggle.

That is the whole point though isn't it?

Warframe UI is not functional, its not clear, it is a pain to use. I think my post clearly shows how irritating it is to try to wade through to get the information you want.

Sounds like you need to adjust your monitor and/or graphics settings.

    UI looks fine to me...

    GY3W2rE.jpg

Ya. That is pretty much it reminds me of.

It really isn't fine, they essentially adding too many visual elements to both the UI and gameplay.
The UI is less functional and more of an avant-garde art piece.

I have around 10 different Status icons running across my screen which honestly is just random shapes that serve no meaningful representation of what they do. Which makes it visual clutter if it does not have any significant meaning to the user.

    For example;

    awgnJGW.jpg

Do these icons hold any meaning to you? You ask 99% of Warframe players they wouldn't be able to identify any of them.

The Relic Screen is another offender. Meaningful information which was there previously which had the text of the item in the rarity of the item has been replaced by a tiny diamond on top. The player name which represented which item you picked has been replaced for some bizzare reason a Bookmark in the corner.

Then you have Gameplay elements where various enemies simply glow different colors that hold very little meaningful value to the player, with the exception of a few ancient healers.

What hasn't changed from back then is that good UI design is good UI design.  What changed was screen resolution size, and more people thinking they were actually good at UI design for all.  (Kinda like fashion sense.)

Really has nothing to do with Screen Sizes, or bandwidth.

It had to do with the internet being "new" and people wanted to shove in as much "New Features" as possible into a website..

  15. Not many people will get this joke, but I am sure all the developers would understand.

For those who do not understand the reference,

Netscape was a browser that existed ages past, before Google even existed, also quite famously known as the Wild West of the Internet. What made Netscape special was Netscape Composer which allowed anyone to make a Website back then, with flashing neon marquees and what ever visual clutter you can imagine it was possible and quite likely used.

There was no standardization of design it was a mess of marquee, flashing gifs and thank god autoplay videos have yet to hit mainstream ( mainly for bandwidth reasons ) or it would have probably killed the internet as we know it.

For some bizarre reason, in my opinion, Warframe seems to have gone Nostalgic and taken their UI and Gameplay design back into Netscape Era. Just a horrendous amount unneeded and completely unwanted visual clutter. On higher graphics settings all you see are just glowing colors, its no longer a game anymore, but virtual experience of inebriation.

UI wise it has become a jumbled mess, take Fissure reward screen for example.
Before you could easily tell which Relic reward you picked, what the rarity of the reward it is you picked.

Now for some reason or another, they decided lets just add in tons of art and no longer tell the user what they picked and make this a wheres waldo experiment.

    ----

While the world was moving toward more elegant, simple, meaningful designs, Warframe again decides to surprise everyone.

  16. So much information the OP posted is wrong.

I think it is meant to be a parody post.

    Manual switching removed? - wrong

    Can't manually channel? - wrong

Less Immersive with hot switch with lmb? - wrong

Channeling mods now useless - wrong

In retrospect probably would have been just easier to write the correct points.
