  1. I'd rather just have faster weapon swap speed honestly. As for secondaries being less popular than primaries, can't say I agree. Most secondaries are equal to or sometimes even stronger than primaries when properly modded.

it would be nice if you had the option for things like Sinister Reach and Firestorm, but since it uses Shotgun Mods that's not going to happen.

I can understand Firestorm not working since that's strictly for launchers, but Sinister Reach should work since it applies to all other beam primaries including the Convectrix and Phage. Sounds like an oversight to me.

  3. I've been meaning to make a thread about this myself, but it looks like you beat me to it. But yeah, whittling down an Eidolon's shield only to have the Voms start restoring it but leaving you incapable of preventing it just because a single Vom is stuck in the dirt is pretty frustrating to say the least, especially since you're basically forced to stand around waiting for the entire shield to regenerate just to progress. If a fix can't be guaranteed, then perhaps the shield regenerated could at the very least be limited to 25-50%.

Can't say I've personally experienced the other two issues myself though.

  4. The Bolto with Entropy Spike is a pretty fun setup, even if the fixed explosion damage means it falls off pretty quickly. Even so, it kinda makes me sad that there isn't a single Bolto Prime to tack it onto.

  5. On one hand, I wouldn't mind it if Nullifier bubbles actually nullified or diminished the effects of defensive AoEs like Magnetize, Snowglobe, Cataclysm, etc. instead of instantly deleting them on contact. On the other hand, Limbo's 2 + 4 combo is one of the most brokenly powerful CCs in the entire game, so it's a bit hard to justify asking for a buff to his abilities (even if it's an indirect one).

  6. Fun as it is to abuse Void Mode for reviving teammates, I'd be lying if I said it didn't trivialize the danger of being downed since you literally can't die so long as you aren't playing hallway hero on the other side of the map. At this point the DEvs are doomed to receive a mountain of salt for nerfing it, but attempting to revive a teammate as Kid should force you out of Void Mode.

  7. Personally I would love it if Silence decreased enemies' gun accuracy while they're within it's AoE, but that's about the extent of a survivability buff I think she deserves since she's meant to be a glass cannon. A persistent stun, even as an augment, would be absurdly OP in any non-PoE content.

  8. The Comba and Scrambus aren't exclusively male or female; the Scrambus are the ones with radical space roller-skates and the Comba are the lame-o's without them. Both versions can randomly spawn as male or female.

OP does bring up an interesting point though, it would be a pretty easy task to add some variance to the Crewman by giving them different facial structures and skin colors (since racial diversity seems to be another aspect the Corpus are absent in). They probably wouldn't even have to give female Crewmen a different body type since those suits are likely heavily insulated and would conceal the wearer's figure anyway.

In their current state the Grineer (a race of literal clones) has more variety in physical appearances then they do.

  9. When the DEvs said that Riven disposition would be based on weapon popularity, I kinda assumed that they would have some kind of system in place that would automatically adjust said dispositions every so often based on weapon usage data, but clearly that's not the case. If it really is meant to be a manual thing, either they need to pick up the frequency at which adjustments are made, or maybe base disposition on weapon tiers/MR instead of popularity (I mean they did just rebalance guns and are doing the same for melee, so there is a semblance of balance amongst weapons in correlation with their MR rank now).

  10. If a Riven is leading you to cause property damage to your own stuff, it might be best to sell it and let it be someone else's problem. That said, I typically do these using the following:

    • Limbo, Equinox, Harrow, Vauban (for locking enemies in place)
    • Scourge - for it's auto-headshot cheese (remove mods to minimize throwing damage though)
    • Any mod with +aim-glide time
    • Any fast-firing weapon
    • A game mode with lots of enemies (Sanctuary Onslaught is good)

The strategy is simple enough: just lob the Scourge into a crowd, freeze any enemies in range, jump and spray bullets into face. Granted it might take you a few goes (even with those crutches it takes my uncoordinated ass several tries to get it right) and I suppose it'll be trickier with a controller, but with any luck you should eventually luck out and get those headshot kills.

u have rage problems. use zephyr to hold 1 untill you are in the air, then aim at peoples heads and kill em... its not that hard.

That hover mechanic counts as aim-gliding? I'll have to try that out next time I get one of these riven challenges, that sounds like it'd save one a lot hassle if it's true.

  11. Blast is gross on guns (since enemies with their face on the floor can't be headshot efficiently) but for melee it's pretty good thanks to Condition Overload and the fact that you can perform ground finishers on enemies you knock down. As for the damage itself... it alright. It's not Magnetic, so it has that going for it.

  12. I can't say I wouldn't mind if Void damage was a flat-out neutral damage type against non-sentient enemies since it's damage is fairly limited due to the lack of mods anyway, but I suppose the real issue is that the only faction it's actually useful against is so uncommon in the majority of content.

I don't know, Void damage might be appreciated more if/when we actually get more Sentient enemies to fight on the regular with it.

  13. Europa and Eris are definitely up there for me, not necessarily because they look bad, but simply because if there is some bit of terrain or decoration for your frame to get snagged on as you attempt to navigate them you will. I also don't care for Earth's tileset much, mainly because it's just really laggy compared to any other tileset (at least for me).

  14. I don't see why not, though it would be great if the DEvs implimented some kind of toggle that allowed you change alt-fire from "click to switch firing modes" to "alt-fire on press" and vice versa, because the Hind is one of those weapons where trying to use the alt-fire is an assault on one's fingers.

P.S. A Prisma Kraken/Kraken Wraith would be a welcomed upgraded gun as well, I feel like that's another old-school weapon that's been forgotten.

  15. They actually made this change to the Harpak's harpoon, so I'm kinda curious why the Paracyst still requires a charge while the Harpak doesn't (on that note, the Harpak's alt fire might be bugged as it doesn't seem to reel things in lately, only damage them).

It would also be nice if the Paracyst's grapple dragged enemies in front of you rather than flinging them randomly across the room, but the same could be said about a lot of ragdolling weapons/abilities.

  16. Rhino would be a terrible starter frame, his Iron Skin almost entirely removes the need for players to worry about mobility in the early-game, which is when they should be most encouraged to learn about and take advantage of such skills to avoid damage. The fact that he can be acquired so early on is already a questionable choice as it is.

As for Mag herself, I believe the only things really holding her back are her low health (she can generate a lot of shields sure, but it's hardly worth much if she's constantly being bombarded with slash and toxin status effects) and her low energy pool (Mag actually does has some potent support/survivability potential thanks to Polarize and Crush, but she definitely requires a more energy-hungry playstyle than Excal or Volt).

  17. Assuming you got it to level 30 already, you should just drop the MK-1 Braton (and any others MK-1s you still have) in favor of the standard Braton (or even a Braton Prime, since the parts for it are relatively easy to get). The other primary weapons you listed are serviceable but are still pretty subpar (except maybe Vulkar, but snipers are generally unwieldy against mobs of enemies).

Your primary issue is likely mods (or lack thereof); it would help if you provided info as to what mods you're using/have, but getting your hands on +damage mods (Serration, Point Blank, Hornet Strike, Pressure Point) and Multishot mods (Split Chamber, Hell's Chamber, Barrel Diffusion) would be a good start since those straight up increase damage.

Then there's elemental damage, which further increases a weapon's effectiveness against different factions depending on which elemental mods you use. It's important to note that having two elemental mods on a weapon causes them to combine into a new element (for example, putting an Electric damage mod and Toxic damage mod automatically gives a weapon Corrosive damage). Each single and combo element has a different degree of effectiveness against different enemies; your best bet is to fill out the in-game codex or just use the wiki to discover what elements are best for which enemies, but here's a few pointers:

    • Corrosive (toxic + electricity) and Radiation (fire + electricity) for the Grineer
    • Magnetic (ice + electricity) and Toxin for the Corpus
    • Corrosive and Fire for the Infested
    • On that note, Corrosive + Fire is a pretty good all-round choice of elemental damage types, since there's few enemies that are particularly resilient to that combo
  18. If they were to give Vauban an EHP buff, I'd personally rather more shields than armor. Given his high-tech/engineer theme I feel like it be fitting for him to have high-quality shielding, and self-replenishing shields makes sense for a frame who probably only wants to pop out of safety in short bursts to deploy more traps.
