Same thing happened to me. I did the third mission and when I came back to the orbiter, I went to check if it counted and it's 3/3. But it disappeared, so i didn't get the reward. Probably an unintended invasion that accidentally slipped through

    great. wtf.

wow you got to 3/3?  you are much faster than me ;)

But thanks for delivering the proof I am not going insane.

It started hours and hours earlier. You missed out because you got in as people were just ending it. You are mistaken.

no I am not.  It just started.  I was about to go to bed when the invasion POPPED UP on screen.
    and it was 50% / 50%  between Corpus/Grineer

Why do you say I am mistaken?  you obviously don't know what invasion I am talking about.

Then you would just complain about getting 2 shot. You get 4 lives in a mission for free, that's you're 1 shot protection.

    sounds like great fun

At a certain point, it's not about being able to react to a threat. It's about anticipating all threats.

haha this sounds like the advice of a Karate coach - and by "anticipating"  99,9 % of the players will understand:   CC / frost globe / running around like a chicken

and we should not forget that we are talking about a game that spawns so many nameless enemies like no other (comparable) game I have ever seen. From all sides and directions.

And all of these can one-shot your butt like its nothing.

Please show me how you anticipitate the doing of 100 empty shells in one room.

Unless you camp somewhere - which is exactly what DE does NOT want players to do.  For a reason

Nope, but there are other ways around those scenarios, all comes with experience.

I'm learning more about warframe every day, I guess that's why I still love this game.

So I should learn more after having played this game 1000 hours ?
And I know you are implying I should get better or have more skill.

But I can assure you that I don't dread difficulty and I prefer learning rather than making me more tanky and then never learn.

I have put 2600 hours into Mass Effect Multiplayer and I have never used Krogans or other tanky characters that are slow and have no dodge - I only used fast and nimble characters and rather learned the enemy patterns and other things because I love to learn and then be able to manage difficult missions.   But none of that applies to Warframe.

Deger, I am not asking for less difficulty - I am asking for a chance to react.  That way you could face the enemies for a second, aim, shoot and then quickly dodge away.  NOT being able to face the enemies anymore (hiding under a globe or running like a chicken or CC an entire room) - this is not a fight!

I respect your opinion but i guess it comes down to player skill and player play style. I will admit I don't play volt as much as i use to as I lost interest in him but in comparison i can say that i use banshee no problem in sorties and she literally is the squishiest frame. So I dono what to tell you.

Banshee is viable against high level Grineer and Infested because of her CC abilities.

But not so much against Corpus when you are facing 5 nullifiers in one room and these blue circles and yellow bombs lying everywhere on the ground and whatnot.

But again - having to CC the enemies before they even see you (or you are just dust) is also part of what this thread is about.

I'm pretty sure that if your going to go up against lvl 200 enemies that your going to build for it BEFORE you go up against them. I can honestly say that no one in their right mind accidentally goes up against lvl 200 enemies. So then there is no reason to bring a squishy frame to lvl 200 enemies ... Of course your going to get one shot lol

I did a Survival Sortie recently with Volt against Corpus. These enemies were NOT level 200 of course.

After getting one shotted many times I had to realize that the only possible way was to hide in a corner behind my shields (making a mind-note NOT to ever use Volt in such a mission again).

I think that this is not the way the developers had intended for Volt to be played. At least I hope so.

And as mentioned - these enemies were not level 200.  I have a maxed Vitality (of course) but I did not run Steel Fibre and whatnot because it won't do very much on squishy frames anyway and ... again I don't think that this is the way such a frame should be played.

I am ok with having to have fast reaction. And if I still stand somewhere doing nothing after getting shield-gated I am ok with dying! But you'll never get the chance.

  7. 55 minutes ago, Deger27 said:

Ok... Lets see..... hmmm .. right. So DE doesnt do anything about getting one shotted. Let see .....

    K...

    Vitality ... Check

    Redirection ... Check

    Steel Fiber ... Check

    Quick Thinking ... Check

hmm nope, I do think your wrong sir .. please check your selected mods on your warframe.

Oh and side note. Saw mentioned that valkyr even with steel fiber couldnt survive a shot from a lvl 200 bombard ... actually .. please check your build again cuz mine can.

Valkyr Prime with 2332.4 armor when fully buffed with my eternal war build. not even using the Stand united mod. Then too i guess im that crazy guy that likes to make impossible builds out of warframes and weapons

Heres a puzzle for you, my ember runs 275% Pwr Str, 145% Pwr Rng, 175% Pwr Eff and 78% Pwr Dur and walks through lvl 80 grineer like a warm knife through butter.

    Anyhoo, Happy gaming =)

so...  do you really think that making "impossible builds" and withstanding this particular scenario just about proves your point?

And maybe not everyone wants to use the tankiest frame with an "impossible build" ?    Maybe they just want to play this game with their desired frame and only ask for a chance to react and to counter instead of dying without even knowing what happend.

I personally would prefer LESS enemies and BETTER AI and tactics.

What is most rewarding? Fighting off hordes with Meta or defeating smart enemies by using skill?

Dark Souls is thrown around alot here. They seem to have succede.

    amen.   I agree 100%

but this was discussed many times, too.  And the result was that most WF players just want to slay the
"train" of incoming grineer hordes and feel like semi-gods.

Enemies at those levels are meant to kill you that fast.

Non-endless missions are not really a problem in this regard but with regards to endless missions. The player cannot increase in strength during a mission but the enemies can, there will come a point inevitably, if the player chooses to carry on(regardless of if armor scaling is fixed or not) where the enemies have to become gods in comparison to you the player.

You should not be able to treat something that is now more powerful than you like it isn't. Using CC as opposed to flashy combat. When the enemies reach these level you need to think more strategically because they can kill you more easily.

Although a shield gate would be nice to stop enemies with high single shot damage from killing you.

As for reworking armor scaling/enemy scaling, i'm yet to see an idea that won't lead to players being able to sit in defense/survival/excavation until their game decides to crash.

this is the only thing I am talking about.  I want a chance to react.  if I then die - its my own fault.

Because insta dying without a chance to counter that and not even knowing who killed you is NOT fun - and never will be.  No matter if it is intended or not.

That's why i've wrote the last Sentence. Regular Players, especially new Players, will never play against Enemies this high, therefore it's not a Priority for DE apparently. They did say that they want to focus more on Veterans now, but we'll see about that and if they decide to fix some of the Enemies and their Scaling. Or Damage 3.0 or whatever they decide to rework first. But also what i think adds to said issue are Min-maxers not using Shield/Armor/Health Mods in order to get more Strength/range/Duration etc. Their chance of getting 1-S#&$ killed is a lot higher.

well - adding more stuff rather seems to be for the veterans - giving them a reason to keep playing.
some things were done for beginners, too (star chart, etc.).

Ok we'll see what's gonna come.  But veterans are in a difficult position. Because normal starchart content is a cakewalk and the high levels are as described above.

Deliberately leaving good mods out of the build or deliberately using crappy weapons is something you have to force yourself to and not many players do this.

Not trying to provoke, but there have been so many Threads about the same thing that i just cant bear it anymore. And, most of the times, they either get locked or people tell them to git gud anyways.

Yeah, after a certain Level you rely on CC, i know that feel because i mainly use Melee so it's especially harsh for me. But i don't take it as seriously. They've said that they're gonna fix it, so i just do what i must in the meantime. It just seems as if people don't want to understand that fixing most things isn't as easy as changing 1 or 2 parameters. It's not the best way to play WF, yeah, but how often do regular Players fight Lv 200 Enemies? Exactly.

ok I get that point.  But even then it is good to raise this topic again now and then.

Because you know how things are done in a company - there is an agenda of priorities. And when they have the feeling people don't consider something important, they'll just keep focusing on adding more and more stuff instead of fixing the existing meta.

  12. 16 minutes ago, Extroah said:

Your point being? Ninjas didn't have the biggest Armors and had to be pretty agile in order to avoid Death. Same happens in the Game.

Also : boohoo the game is too difficult boohoo. They've already said that they're gonna look at it and rework it. Yeah they've said it a long time ago, but it's not as easy to do as 99% of whiners make it out to be, it's not fixed with 1 or 2 changes, so be patient.

sorry,  "boohoo"??  so you just want to provoke?  good job man.

    As to my point:
My point is that from a certain point of enemy scaling you cannot even engage the enemies anymore.
Is CC-ing the enemies while they are even in another room your difinition of a fight?  because if they even saw you while you are not jumping you'd be DEAD.

"boohoo the game is too difficult boohoo" - nobody has ever spoken about difficulty. but you may not be able to understand that.

I am not trying to provoke - it sadly just seems to be the truth.

When u don't mod right, or use a squishy frame thats what generally happens. Team and weapon synergies also play a big part in late game.

sorry but I think you are terribly wrong.

EVERY frame is squishy against a level 200 Bombard.  There it doesnt matter anymore if you are Banshee or Valkyr with Steel Fibre on.

  14. Things like shield-gate are part of most games (for example Mass Effect Multiplayer)  and they are there for a reason.

Everybody knows that it is not fun to get one-shotted.  Why doesn't DE know this? Do they never play on high difficulties?

With the crazy enemy scaling, the mighty "SpaceNinja-Warframes" end up hopping and moving around like chickens because standing still for a second means insta-death.  The alternative is pressing your CC-button over and over or hiding (!) under a Frost Globe (*yawn)

Both is not "space-ninja" - it is JUST NOT FUN !

It is not normal if someone prefer to play the game with subpar gears that can only beat lvl10 enemies and below.

this would not be normal, indeed.

But I was talking about already being able to 1-shot EVERYTHING available in this game (inclucing the 3rd sortie and theoretically far above)
and yet we are still striving to get better.

(of course I am not talking about staying in an endless mission for several hours)

  16. In Germany we say:   "Ein gutes Pferd springt nur so hoch, wie es muss"

which would roughly translate with:    " You don't have to use a sledgehammer to kill a fly"
and exactly translates with: " A good horse jumps only as high as it has to"

But I personally only use my sledgehammer for all these flies in this game.

While I'd like to have a real challenge.

I just use what I want. If I build something and it turns and that I don't like it, even if it's OP as hell, I sell it.

And that makes me kinda sad because Karak is awesome as hell but damn useless at the same time.

exactly!!    I gave my Simulor Riven mod away to a friend (on the first day when these weren't nerfed yet)  because I hate inaccurate and cheesy weapons.

I love the Karak and the idea of getting a Riven mod for it.

But still I want to boost those weapons I like and use to their maximum potential - even though it is not needed for the level of difficulty.

  18. I have min/maxed every single of my frames and weapons.
And while I am already able to do everything in this game, I am now even striving after these Riven Mods...

    but why?

to be honest:  I cannot rationally answer this question because I'd be powerful enough to do a 4th, 5th or 6th,.....sortie  which don't even exist !

    So why?

I guess for me it is 2 things:
1.) I am still expecting and hoping that the developers will finally give us difficult missions.
And by "difficult" I don't mean getting one-shottted, not even being able to engage enemies (like the space ninjas we were advertised to be) - always having to keep them crowd-controlled.

2.) it lies in my nature to optimize and maximise the things I use - no matter if in games or in real life.

I am interested in hearing your reasons,   or possibly you don't care about min/maxing your gear ?

    Thanks.

EDIT:  so there is nobody else here who wants to get more difficult content in order to finally use all the stuff we have been farming for properly?

Just dont believe everything a youtuber says. That guy is an ignorant racist and deserved the ban and it isnt clearly said what the reason for his ban is. There is really no point why u bring that guy into your post, thats why i just ignored ur question. I saw the name and thought: omg another fanboy getting mad. Well your topic was answered. Its not allowed to interact with the accounts for example doing sorties and send the rewards on your main. Everything else is fine.

why are you trying to discuss about him now when this is exactly what you did NOT want to do?

I did not say with any word whether I believe him or not (but I hate this dude ;)    )    -   his case just popped up in my head when I was thinking about having a second account --> so better be careful when having 2 accounts.
