Hammers are already on par with heavy blades. Arca Titron, Volnus and Jat are just as good as heavy blades right now on higher levels, each with side benefits such as guaranteed, CO fueling electric procs (Titron) and in place KDs for group ground finishers (Volnus) (or long range KDs if that's desired on Jat) that heavy blades don't have. In addition, when talking heavy blades, it's really just Galatine Prime, and in the case of that prime access $$ generator, its weak riven disposition already balances it out.

um, when did i say anything about the stats or effects of hammers or heavy blades?

  2. Title is just for the memes.

With the coming Melee 3.0, can we see some changes to get hammers up to par with their big beefy brothers, the heavy blades?

As it stand, hammer stances have very little mobility and few multipliers, and what mobility they do have is jarring and can't be controlled very well.  Compare this to Tempo Royale with its fluid, paced combos, or the slower cleaving whirlwind, with its steady, rhythmic movement and mighty damage bonus.

I'd love to see more horizontal swings, similar to cleaving whirlwind, mixed with the slam attacks hammers are famous for.

You can already cancel the reload animation of many weapons if you roll at 75% of the reload process

And I wouldn't want to loose that feature

you can also do it by meleeing, and it's not a feature, it's a bug that DE either doesn't know about or is too busy with more important things to fix.

Sure. Right after you point out most of the heavy blades/hammers would be too heavy to wield, a rapier is all but worthless outside of a duel, claws are a ridiculous weapon, katanas are not used like western swords, only the machetes with "machete" in their name are machetes, "glaives" don't exist outside of Naruto, blade-whips don't exist, gunblades don't exist outside of some weird museum pieces, tonfa are small striking weapons, whips don't have a sword on the end, Atterax isn't a whip by any definition, pretty much all zaws are stupid as a weapon, and space magic isn't real.

I mean, all of your arguments are about realism outside of a video game, my point is that scythes as depicted in games are not only not realistic, but not even useful, as the only way you could actually cut anything is by pulling it closer to yourself, and they don't have enough weight or rigidity to be used as a pick.  I would use any other weapon class in real life (if I could lift it) but I would rather use a stick than a scythe.

Just because it's a lower mastery weapon doesn't mean it has to be a weaker Latron Prime

you forget that the lenz is also MR 8

I know where you're coming from. Believe me, i know what you're saying. I'd give you the formula i'd use and you'd understand, but i made a promise with the person i worked with to make it that neither of us would give it out. There's more to this. For the sake of simplicity, I'll make it baseline, and fix the base. That i know i was wrong on, and thank you for pointing out out. For this though, i ask for your trust on this. Your points are correct, but i got tricks up my sleeve i will not give out.

    Thank you
