  1. Hello !

I dont know where to post my thoughts about this game so i hope this is the right place.

I came into the Beta 2 days ago.

First i must say i like Warframe VERY much. It is cool ... the design of the levels and the models and the idea of the game and so on. It is cool to play with other players against the Computer (PVE) ... even when i would like to have also a feature like "Deathmatch" to login to make some frags without long missions and all that. But i guess that is a whish it is too late to be delivered by the programmers. :-)

But I am a little bit sad because of some things about the beta.

First ... why is the credits-shop opened in the closed beta?

I think it would be much better to test the game first for absolutely free.

    To test everything for bugs.

So if i am not able to try all the features as a closed beta tester for free it is no wonder that I am (and many others I think) dont use everything that is possible in the game.

And because of that it is no wonder many bugs will not be found before the release of the game.

I dont think it is a good idea.

As an example ... Planetside 2 did it the same way (i heard) and it is still not running on my pc ... even after 2 months or more after the release. Very sad. Hope this will not happen with this game. :-/

Then .... i do not understand some features of the game.

    The difficulty level of it.

What does mean (in the german client) "Ebene 1" or "Ebene 8-12" on a levelpoint in a planet system???

Is it the level my Char has to be to get through it or what does it mean?

Also the thing with the planets.

I start on Mercury ... first point ... "Ebene 1".

Is it equally to what planet system i go or does it mean as further away i am from sun as much more heavy it gets???

So Mercury is the easiest and Pluto is the heaviest part???

Would be nice to know that.

    Greetings and peace .... Rong

Hey and welcome to the beta!

To be honoust I think this belongs in the feedback forums but whatever.

The credits shop is indeed already open but that's propably for the same reason you just discribed. Finding bugs. Because the store handles purchases which are made with real money its extremely important for the developers to make sure that there are absolutely no bugs in there. Ofcource bugs in the game can be annoying but if you lose 5 euro's to a bug it's a bit more major then losing out on a bit of experience.

The Ebene, which is difficulty in the english client. Stands for how hard this mission is going to be. By this you should think about the amount of enemies that you are about to face and how many you have to fight at a time. As far as I know there is no solid measurement for it but it ranges anywhere between 1 and 5.

On the planet side of difficulty you are nearly correct. Mercury is the starting planet and the easiest while Pluto is the highest level planet. The planets in between don't match though. Saturn is the 2nd planet followed by Venus Mars Jupiter Earth Neptune and Pluto. I may be wrong about Neptune though.

I hope you enjoy playing the beta, as far as I have noticed the Devs are very nice and receptive to feedback so if there is anything you really have a question about feel free to post it here.

  2. As mentioned above, I can only advise to create a support message, and mark it as urgent.

Well ''urgent'' may be overkill. I mean I do intend to stick around here on the forums but its just a little icon :P

  3. I wrote him about this a couple of days ago hoping he'd make a video, and here it is.

I feel like timing could be better, this video should've been out at public beta, now people are going to be a little frustrated, they can't play yet because it's closed beta.

Imo he should make another video at launch and compare everything.

  4. Freaking TotalBiscuit, He forgot about us TR! He is a coward and a traitor! ( Planetside 2 Ref. )

As with all TR he fled once he realised the Vanu are just superior in every way possible.

  5. Hoo boy, it's hitting YouTube famous channels. Here's hoping the future influx won't totally mess up the community dynamics with flamewars and trollings and such.

You have to much faith in the internet my friend. xD

    We'll see what will happen

  6. Alright lets shed some light.

Definition of pay to win - giving an edge to players who pays real life money.

And the little matter of giving TWICE the upgrades for paying players is 100% pay to win, you can go about it how you wish, you can fanboy it out all you want it is not going to change a thing. The game IS good there is no question about that, and developers need to eat thats a fact. However, they are making us pay for the wrong things. The best and only free to play games to ever succed are the ones that have cosmetics and time savers in the shop and ONLY those. The way I see it, if they replace the upgrade cost with the ingame money it is resolved and since the cost is only 20 platnium it will not destroy the games budget.

P.S. I did not read all of the comments, maybe somebody already explained this. I read the first few and already saw the need to clear things up with the fanboys.

    So it seems

The devs already said they were looking into that.

As far as I've seen the devs are very receptive to feedback. If you bring it in a proper and mature way that is.

I'm sure this will be resolved soon

  7. They cause random explosions around the place. It's very hard to notice because of the milion bomb droids that fly around the place.

If there is anything bugged about that boss it's the minefield thingy he drops. Spint away as far as you want even if you are 20m away it will still 1 shot you

  8. Did you even read my post? lol...

Anyway, I agree with you a long way, but stuff like boosters especially does give a big edge to paying customers, but as long as this game is PvE it doesn't really mean much anyway.

Yes I did. It's by far the best example so I just repeated it

definitely pay2win when pro unlocks can only be achieved via plats, and when it gives 2x more upgrades/slots.

    that is a huge difference.

The devs already said they were looking into that.

  9. Sometimes during a mission even after I destroy the security camera for a door, the laser pops back up and then disappears though the security camera is still dead. It's happened to me various times, even in solo.

From my understanding the lasers pop up when you are being ''seen'' so destroying the security camera is not a garentee as an enemy can still see you causing the lasers to turn on

  10. It's not exactly pay to win, like a game such as World of Tanks with superior ammo.

BUT, it definatly makes it a ton easier with early unlocking of the better weapons etc.

That's called ''Skipping the progression curve'' You can pay and unlock a few weapons that cost a little more to save yourself some time. The really epic and good weapons however are all made in the foundry and you can't buy the materials you need for the foundry making it only apply to the first basic tiers of weaponry. On the warframe part. Every warframe has it's strengths and weaknesses and there is no ''superior'' one. Buying one you like doesn't give you extra power it just gives you the specific warframe you like a little earlier.

Furthermore, a free player will propably be stronger then a paying player when they both have exactly the same things because the free player had to do missions to unlock it and has a lot more experience with the game then the paying player giving him a edge making this effectively ''Pay2Lose''.

If you want to get an example of ''Pay2Win'' You should look at World of Tanks with their golden ammo. If that's still around that is.

  11. You sir, may have proven yourself guilty of making hax in WarFrame Beta, as well as bringing a starwars droid along in the game where it's not supposed to be.

This is like ESPN where all the atheletes says they are going to give 110%. I always thought how??! But Caston proves it is possible.

(We will fix this - I think it's a shotgun stats bug)

Epic replies are epic. Got to LOVE this community <3

  12. This is like ESPN where all the atheletes says they are going to give 110%. I always thought how??! But Caston proves it is possible.

(We will fix this - I think it's a shotgun stats bug)

Yeah this was indeed with a shotgun. I think it's because if you hit 2 enemies with 1 shot it counts as 2 hits? I don't know how you can fix it but it looks pretty awesome xD

  13. It's not a very big or major thing and it's not original either but a little toggle to mute the game when you tab out would be great. For PC games like this options are great. Allowing people to costumise the things to their liking is never a bad thing. Especially to this game a mute when lost focus would be a great little option because a lot of people will go and play a game and tab out to do somthing else. I.E Watch a video on youtube. and play a game later on.

While I think the music is kind of cool, it's not always wanted. Having to completely shut the game down or move the musics option bars around every time you tab out can be very annoying.

  14. I'm Castron and I'm new to this game. Thought I'd stop by and say hi here :)

Game so far looks very promissing I wonder what the devs have in store for its future.

Let us build an awesome community and make this game a hit shall we?
