Trying to imply that warframe's community isn't toxic? I guess you don't know how the wholesome warframe community reacts to anyone who doesn't follow the hive mind in an attempt to put some sort of censorship to any idea they dislike (like improving on PvP, for example). And that's without even mentioning in game attitudes during PvE gameplay as well such as people purpoosefully stalling mission progress with simple stuff such as dropping a datamass in an unreacheable before leaving the squad, simply refusing to put it where it should be while mocking the rest of the team, etc.

Hey! And here's even the usual ad populum too!

Removing any possible choice is the worst possible way to balance a huge game where variety is part of its core.

*Sigh* Im not trying to say nothing about the community that already existis, I know how toxic this community already is and Im pointing the fact that the pvp will only make this worse.

Ad populum you say? Im exposing a fact, Im not saying ''cuz most players want to play god pvp is garbage" Im blaming the players TOO, if the players were more interested in the pvp DE would add more content to it. How many players are really into the lore of the game? How many players are rank 22+? How many players come here to say something about how disgusting everything is? Only the so called veterans are this kind of players and these don't want to play anymore and before you say anything Im not saying "DE has no fault players have" Im saying that we are here thanks to the lack of interest of both sides.

What do you propose for balancing the pvp then? I will like to read it.

Warframe has evolved so much over the last 7 years that I have played it on and off. However we all know about the elephant in the room that is the Conclave and pvp.

DE has been very diligent with their updates, progressing the game and community farther than anyone anticipated. This has been a long process of feedback, being transparent, and great communication with the community through Twitter, twitch, and events.

In fact I'd go as far to say that DE is one of the most progressive when it comes to updating and balancing their game. Where does it stop? AT PVP.

PVP (conclave) has never progressed and therefore continues to shrink and that is a major problem for branching out to new players.

Why should they add PVP now?

Look at any online competitive game and you will see the player base excels higher and faster than any pve online game.

Fortnite when it first was beta had a secondary mode which took the world by storm called battle royal. That's right... It was just a secondary mode to their PVE focused game play. This game has 8.3 concurrent players every month with an all time high of 78 million in August. Regardless of half being 8 yr Olds that's impressive and why the game continues to pull in revenue and in turn the devs bring in more as well.

Apex legends another battle royal mode that took advantage of the publicity and popularity and it has ramped up more than warframe could ever dream. (I haven't even played Apex legends im just looking at the statistics.)

Warframe in the last few months has had a monthly high of 47k users. Apex legends has a Weekly average of 8-10 million users.

Before we jump on the bandwagon to warframe royal let's look at some different online competitive pvp statistics.

    League of legends

very popular moba game with 27 million weekly players and 80 million a month.

    World of War raft CLASSIC

this is just the old school vanilla Wow version and in August had a peak of 12 million users and has kept its concurrent player base thus far.

Player base for warframe has been declining since 2016 like a a dependable stock. In November 2018 warframe had a monthly base of 61k (peak of 131k). In fact if you look at the steam charts you can see that warframe player base peaked in end of 2017 to early 2019. However since August 2019 warframe has been steadily declining per month. What use to be a plus minus of 10k users from month to month has grown to 20k to 30k. The month of October showers a player base of 34k.

Now just because the player base is declining that doesn't directly correlate with pvp, however...

Warframe end game content is lacking both replay ability and competitiveness.

Generally it is very hard to create pve content that has this replay ability.

Pvp is the easiest route for warframe to Boom its player base in the online gaming industry.

    Pvp advantages

    -End game content

    -competitive

-bring in much larger player base

    Pvp disadvantages

-balancing with pve (add different system like w0w with pvp resistance and dmg)

-the strain on pve content on start up (focusing on pvp will take away from pve as it needs to be taken seriously and not thrown together for another conclave)

I see warframe dwindling down to a player base of 20k in late 2020 if no additional changes are made for end game content.

Ok, you forgot to mention that the pvp games also tend to have a toxic community that grows higher and faster, another thing is that warframe is not meant to be competitive.

On the pvp advantages: Yes, this could be endgame and obviusly will be competitive but the players that will bring are not an advantage at all.

As I said warframe is not meant to be competitive and the best way to implement this is a PvEvP, most of the players just want to chill with friends doing random sh*t instead of training their aim for being a good Pk.

Also, warframe is a huge game so if you want a balance within this period of time the best thing will be that all the players play as excalibur with the mk-1 equipment.

  3. Did you created them on different locations and with different warframes?

Im not sure about this but maybe the abilites have something to do with this (most of my ephemera carriers have been killed with abilites).

  4. Rev nerf is awful (not entirely sure about the implementation btw), it was fun and... efficient? to play with him and take the lich heatlh out with 3 dashes.

Say what you want but making the bullet sponge harder to take down will just drive the players away.

  5. Only saying one thing:

    hace 4 horas, Empoleon718 dijo:

    • Passive: It would work on a similar way than his current passive, you roll and you enter the rift, repeat to exit, but with some changes:

-Upon entering, Limbo starts recharging his shield with an increased recharge rate/speed (thanks to the mainline update and the inclusion of shield gating, builds focused on shields started to be viable. This change would make Limbo’s survivality better without turning him into a tank.)

-To avoid constant spam, while in the rift, Limbo is unable to see any enemy or temmate. This reinforces the idea of the rift as a separate dimension.

-Limbo no longer gets passive energy regen while on the rift.

-To avoid people afking, after 10 seconds (unmoddable) you automatically exit the rift.

-Limbo can’t use any ability inside of the rift but if he has used one while on the normal plane it won’t be cancelled.

All of this is not going to benefit Limbo in any way and shall be not implemented (Passive only).

Limbo's passive is one of the best, if not the best, passives of the entire game, thing is, this is what generally saves Limbo from being an almost useless warframe, he cannot take a lot of damage, he needs a decent amount of energy to cast his abilities and is almost useless on spy missions without lasers.

  6. I agree with OP but I also say that the content NEEDS to be polished a little berfore taking it to the players, there are a couple of bugs that kills all the fun hours inside the mission and some other things like the prices vs. rewards/time invested but it is a simple and nice event. I hope DE puts the new beta servers to work soon, and hope that they have a lot of good testers.

  7. The operator system is still work in progress and the operator should be used as an ace under the sleeve and nothing more since we need to complete the new war arc for make them strong enough to even consider to fight something, and even then, at the point where I guess you guys are, you know that a lot of weapons can easily erase almost everything from the game and you should have this weapons (weapons, not rivens).

The sentients were to meant to be the strongest faction just below us so you should expect them to fight back, obviously, the vombalysts are insane at high level but DE said they will nerf them and if not, expect them to be less tanky with the next update that includes changes to the health, armor and shields of every enemy in the game.

As for the resources you're right, but sadly this seems to be in the to-do list of DE for the moment so just keep killing thumpers or use the solar cutter from fortuna.

  8. Actually, the air support is almost useless and that pains me, when I got the scimitar and read the support I was like ''NOICE'' but when I tested out it couldn't kill a level 20 butcher, I mean c'mon its a god damn bombard and it deals almost no damage, then you have the xiphos that deploys a copus turret (the most weak and useless thing after the sensor camera) the only 2 things that can be called as support are the liset blackout and the mantis pod but I didn't saw many of these, so the liset's blackout is the most useful support but then again as OP said, you can only use it 2 times on every mission because we are talking about rescue, spy or even exterminate missions only and those missions lasts 20min max.

  9. Yeah... no.

The only thing I see viable is the possibility to buy things from a prime access/vault separately like you can buy the new golden warframe instead of having to pay 50$ or more for it and even then I think its better the way it is.

  10. Well, I think self damge is out place, I mean, from the point of view of the lore we are tied with the sentients for the title of the most advanced faction in the entire game and yet we are the only ones that have things like self damge when grineer that are focused in raw power have no self damage (I think that the napalm does take damage of the fire and not from the proyectile itself) and I think that the weapons with self damge in their majority are bad for anything that is not killing the wielder, they have a poor ammo balance, explosive damage is almost useless, punch trough nullifies the damage and in most of the cases they have not enough power to kill anything after level 75. The acceltra is te only weapon I remember that has self damage but is worth to use....

  11. From what I saw, the reason of why we defeated the sentients back in the old war is because we used a first hand equipment, I mean, the weapons and warframes were the original ones, that means they were a lot stronger of what we have now, we have those weapons and warframes but they are just a copy of the oringinal meaning it will never reach the full potential at least until we remember how the orokin crafted the weapons.

''Once thought lost to the ages, attempts to reengineer the Burston Prime never fully replicated this weapon's power and agility.'' - Actual Burston Prime description.

  12. I don't think the implementation of the syandana as NW reward is necessary, don't know about you but I want new stuff from nightwave but I must agree with the fact that an always glowing syandana would be nice, anyways almost no one plays conclave and those who keep playing are (in the majority) very nice at pvp so it is hard to enjoy the conclave for other players.

  13. I was playing the anomaly with a friend and it happened me twice that when activating the forge on the railjack it played the animation and left me without HUD, the first time it was nothing to worry about cuz it was the end of the mission, the second tho (don't know if it affected this way) bugged the mission because no sentients spawned on the anomaly neither appeard as completed and my friend got bugged with that thing that transports you through the space and left him flying, we found a vomvalyst and let kill us, it solved his bug but mine not and since no other sentient spawned we had to abort :c
