Assuming a clan at maximum capacity for its tier (unlikely), and with all members of said clan being active (almost certainly not the case), the Hema requires 500 mutagen samples per person.

That comes out to an average of 7.4 hours per person spent on ODS just to get Hema.  And that's a best case scenario.

If we instead assume a clan midway between the cap of its current tier and that of the prior tier, and that roughly half of those are active, that changes to roughly 22.5 hours per person.  Drop our assumed activity rate to just  10% of the members being active, and it's now around 112 hours per person - or put another way, nearly 3 weeks of full time employment.

Pretty much this. But at the end of the day what irks me is the fact that DE admitted they made a mistake, said they where looking at ways to correct the mistake and now outright refuse to correct the mistake they fully admitted to. It's like I said in previous threads: A mistake is only an issue when you refuse to correct it. Once you refuse to fix it, it becomes an issue. I'm always willing to give anyone a chance to correct a mistake. But if you refuse to even make an effort to fix it, it becomes a strike against you.

  2. Motorhead hands down. Motorhead was one of the few bands that pretty much stuck to their guns through out the bands existence. When the bands around them where trying to cash in on what was popular or adapting a more radio friendly style to generate more albums sales, Motorhead hardly ever changed. Sure, some albums where not as good as others, but you always knew what you where getting with Motorhead and constancy is what made them my favorite band of all time.

  3. I tried playing Overwatch for about a week and had to quit. The amount of toxicity I experienced in game was insane. It seemed like a lot of the toxic players I encountered where looking for any reason to go off on anyone. So, I'm not surprised to hear that the Overwatch community is in a uproar about this. Because I got the clear impression that a large chunk of the player base where looking for a reason to be angry. Even if the reasoning for their anger was idiotic to began with, they would run with it.

    Lol great description

I'm at Neptune/Pluto on the map with tougher Corpus than I'm used to and think the soma w mag I use really only works due to the high crit.

So for the bosshyenabros , alad, raptor use tox and corrosive or dual elements ? I'm still dumb as f when it comes to modding , only have my soma tatoed because I've only gotten one so far but want anything better for ammo conservation. The jist I get for the Corp is impact and toxin / radiation and corrosive? Trying to farm loki today I'd run out of soma ammo after 1 and a half hyenas. Sucked

Corrosive and blast or cold for CC is what I ended up using against them.

  5. I have been going back to Secret World off and on since it came out and I will be going back to SW soon. If you don't mind a modern setting and like horror stuff in general, I'd say give it a shot. The class creation system is really good because it's really open ended. The crafting has some puzzle-ish elements to it. The game is not all that bad looking either. Lastly the quests are pretty robust and have some puzzle/research elements to them. So you won't be bogged down by kill x of these or fetch me x of these quests.

  6. I am calm, but for me, this is strike one against DE. Simply because it boils down to them admitting they made a mistake and refusing to fix it. Sure we all make mistakes, it's a given. But, when you out right refuse to correct the mistake, it does become an issue. Also, I'm simply holding DE to the same standards that I hold myself and pretty much everyone else.

Rivens my friend, rivens. TWW can be completed at MR5 but the lowest MR riven I've seen is 9 I think and the highest 16. There's still reason to go for ranks.

I think passive stats boosts like the ones you suggested are kinda obsolete since high MR players are still at least experienced and somewhat skilled, even if MR cannot be held as a proper measurement for skill.

The mastery rank for Riven mods is subject to RNG like the rest of the stats. Several people have posted Riven mods with a mastery rank that out ranks the current Mastery cap. The highest one posted was MR 26 if I remember correctly.

  8. For an added bonus put void versions of all of the bosses we have killed in and have them spawn in 5 min intervals. Hek could use his connection to the void to harvest the dead or something so the lore hound do not go too nuts

Oh boi  Vauban alerts, took me an entire month to get the systems, such fun interactive gameplay. The only reason more people don't talk about Vauban is because the problem is completely restricted to vauban. When Nitain was released I just knew that DE is now going to centralize a ton of new content around Nitain alone.

I remember DE saying somewhere that 24hr alerts are in development. So that should alleviate the issue somewhat.

  10. Sure, the Nitain alerts could be more frequent and last longer. So could a few other alerts. But, I think the worst offender is the Vauban alerts. All I need is the neuroptic bp and I have been trying to catch an alert for it for at least three weeks now. I will probably have gotten all of the Nitian to build Vauban P, Valkyr P and Saryn P long before I get my hands on the Vauban neuroptic bp.

  11. There are so many possibilities with this and I'd love to see it.  Imagine walking into a room where a Crew Man is furiously kicking and punching a MOA cabinet that won't open. Or catching one on break in the locker rooms messing with a Corpus like pda. Adding such things would make tile sets feel more alive. Such things could also be applied to the Grineer as well.

This. Exactly. You're right and still absolutely wrong, somehow, IMHO. You say you're a developer, so you MUST be acquainted with Agile development. That is what this is. We have an idea for a system, we work out the absolute basics, see if we can plug them into the system then see what works and what needs to be added, changed or removed. This, what you describe and downplay, is exactly what that looks like on the receiving end. If I had a bonus for every time that was the feedback we got from someone new to agile, I'd be buying DE.

I do understand Agile development. I just don't think that this is a case where it's the best development route to take.

My whole thing is an issue with the absurdly negatives on things like negative damage stats and pure elemental damage weapons getting physical damage stats. You have to have a ceiling and a floor on things when dealing with stat values. Currently the negative stat values have no floor. So you are able to get a riven mod where the negative stats are so bad, no amount of modding to a weapon will make it remotely usable with a bad riven. Basic sanity checks would have completely removed the issue with ele weapons getting phys damage stats. I understand the Rivens play into RNG, but letting a RNG system run completely wild isn't what I would call good coding. You do want to have some checks and balances in place before you kick anything RNG heavy out the door.

  13. While I'm not planning on completely quitting, I am starting to feel burnt out. But, the whole riven issue and the controversy with the Hema has me questioning the decisions that DE has made lately.

Rivens where poorly implemented from the start and do lack of basic programming implementation. So, I have sold everyone that I have got my hands on. The fact that weapons dispositions where not part of Riven mods in the first place is a massive oversight or just bad programming. The lack of sanity checks screams bad coding and makes the Riven system look incomplete. Sure  you can reroll Rivens. But that does not out right excuse the complete lack of basic coding. Part of my job is developing software for registers. If I introduced anything that was missing basic coding components, I'd probably end up in hot water with my boss. Simply because I should have known that it wasn't going to fly. I do hold developers to same standards that I am held to as a developer. So the whole Riven system is a big negative for me.

The reasoning behind the Hema cost is sound, but the implementation itself is terrible and in the long run such implementation will only hurt Warframe. It's clear they only looked at the resource stock pile for a small number of players and assumed all clans where full of active members. So we got a resource cost that was too high for the reality of the game. If DE going forward continues a arms race between DE, Vets and newer players, it will only hurt the game.
