God I hope not - I had a guy with a archgun in a defence mission on Mars, just blasting away while everyone else stood around. Quite hopelessly unbalanced, and now you want necramechs too. Its a recipe for an even more unbalanced nightmare to the point where the game might even have to be split up between those with the big toys, and those lower level players without.

You realize that Archguns aren't really that powerful, right? I mean yeah, archguns have some of the most powerful ranged weapons in the game, but on mars? You can wipe out EVERYTHING on the map with a single cast of barely modded Saryns, Volts, Mirage, Banshee, etc. Heck, Resonating Quake Banshees can one-shot all spawns in IO which is much higher than Mars defense. If you're in a low lvl defense, don't expect to have much work to do. Just enjoy all the free weapon exp.

    There was a shield bash?

Only Available with #4 active, you use it with left click. That was actually explained in the beta forums.

It could be useful if it wasn't 75 energy.

Like I'm all for a cost/benefit analysis here DE but what circumstances is pushing enemies vaguely ahead of you worth 75 energy? This isn't a Warframe either, energy is precious on a Necramech. That's a 25 energy power, at most.

And it also costs energy to turn off, which is not great, and running out of energy when using the shield tended to cause issues.

In general, the sword should probably be pretty damn powerful, considering it's competing with artillery.

    Yep.

    1) Very pleased to see a new nunchaku-type weapon coming in this update.  Would it be possible to include a new melee weapon based upon the 3-section staff (a traditional martial arts weapon) in a future update.

    2) Extremely unhappy that no mention of easier/more reliable methods of acquiring the following: a) complete set of both Necramech mods & Necramech damaged weapon parts; b) Scintillant;  As you know, the current system of acquiring Necramech mods & Scintillant is completely unsatisfactory.  In my opinion, they should all be purchasable from vendors with standing.

    3) Quite unhappy that no mention of an improved (faster) method for leveling up Necramechs - for example: being able to use them in (Elite) Sanctuary Onslaught.

    1) And they're quite strong especially for the current meta.
    2) a)They will be one of the rewards in the new bounties.  b) from my experience, they've been spawning scintilant everytime you return to the bounty.
    3) Well, higher tier bounties should work.

Adjusting numbers always works. If DE increases the range of the new deimos arcanes to say 10-15 meters and/or let the damage scale by mods and/or enemy level, it may be viable.

Well, he was talking about the mech, not the arcanes.
They didn't mention the arcanes in the post, so might have been delayed.

Considering the update is coming less than a week after the test center closed I seriously doubt that we will see anything aside from a few adjusted numbers.

Sure, and you could hold an archgun with it.
But then the Shield would lock the mech from jumping, or having proper animations (in the best cases) when your energy ran out with it active. It never felt that it was blocking anything. Skill #1 and #3 are utterly useless, #1 being weak as hell, energy taxing, and not very easy to hit with. #3 would maybe be useful if the mech could be used indoors, but on open world maps where enemies tend to stay at range, that thing is utterly useless.

Hyped for the update! I hope changes have been made based on the feedback from the PTC (especially with those Arcanes)

Oh god, i forgot about those useless things...

But they also don't mention those... I'm more concerned about the bone widow, since it was barely functional in the test server.

MR fodder mechs... Oh well... Not that they have any motivation to be used besides looking and feeling cool to play with.
But the Widow was really lacking. None of its skills felt that good to use. And a glorified Archgun holder isn't really needed, since we already have the other one.

LOL, that's like "i read stuff on the internet and think the earth is flat" levels of tinfoilery there mate.
I hope you didn't use Chrome to navigate to this forum.

If the needs of this game outway what i can afford in this pandemic etc, then i will have to stop playing and lose all the money and hours spent on it.  Its a shame but im not spending hundreds just for a game when that has more important uses.  DE should be aware people are struggling and keep specs within realistic paramters IMO

DX11 came out in 2009... If you can't run a 2009 spec, don't blame the pandemic.
DX12 came out 5 years ago, even. I mean, maybe wrong excuse, just saying. And honestly. If you're complaining about this, likely you're not the biggest splurge in Warframe, i mean come on... If you can't afford a 5 years ago rig...

I'm pretty sure you haven't the faintest idea what reporting is, because moderator and chats have quite literally nothing to do with it.

I'm also pretty sure you haven't been engaging in meaningful trade for much of your time in the game. But I'm also know from personal experience you're one those A******s that like hanging out in the corners on Hydron and Akkad simply to deprive the group of affinity while other people actually do the mission for the "lols" so, you're pretty much the last person I would look for advice or context on the subject.

Who do you think reads and acts on reports?
Jesus Christ? Maybe the Holy Ghost?

What? Really, from "personal experience"? have you ever played with me to know from personal experience, that i ALWAYS stay on top of the objective, except to collect stuff?
And like half the time i'll be doing a permanent Vortex on the column above the objective and either shoot the meat ball or let others do it? Or i'll be playing Speedva...
Or you just enjoy slandering people when you already lost the discussion?

Yeah mate you sure are a good example of the minority of people that make this game less enjoyable to all others...

Get to my posting count and play history and then we'll evaluate what you consider "extreme".

Dude, that's the BEST answer ever... If you don't like to make sense.

It is extreme... Reporting someone for wasting your time is extreme, and useless because no one will act on it. In fact, it might backfire on you, for WASTING THE MODERATOR'S TIME!
Your post count means NOTHING, and your playtime whatever it is should mean that you'd know better than that.

I've been noticing some weird stuff going on with players on hydron and it is rage inducing, ok so I've been forma-ing my weapons and warfames like what you'd usually do and I've always preferred going to hydron, obviously there are gonna be people who extract as early as wave 5 but people literally take advantage of this, basically what would usually happen is that if only 1 player is going to extract, someone like just 1 person will pretend to proceed to the next wave and at the very last moment the extraction screen ends, that person will extract leaving me and the other person who wanted to go to the next wave behind, meaning of course less affinity and i either have to abort or keep going, I've encountered SO MANY of these players so many times that my affinity grinding has actually become slightly slower than before thanks to these people. My advice to avoid this is to be prepared if a second player is about to extract and extract as quick as you can or extract aswell when 1 player is extracting early. And no I don't think these players just decided to extract at that very last moment because they would've extracted immediately.

That's like the oldest prank in the book in warframe...

It's sad, but yeah, nothing new...

The affinity loss is kinda minor, i mean you still need to kill a bunch by yourself... But yeah, it is annoying.

Then what is of the case in Fortuna? The things you need to find all have markers, Cetus simply doesn't. Almost all the time it's really fine but this particular location just kicks me.

...Also I'd be surprised if you can find something like that in that resolution on an arcwing. I couldn't even find it until I actually got close enough to see it.

Different missions, and not quite true, Caches only get markers if you're really slow for example. The drone mission requires you to kill it first, not find a downed one.

You can't memorize spawns, its randomized and if someone did... That someone needs a life.

  12. You need to have a Steam game folder on that drive, then go to the game's store page, grab the number on the page name...
On the old steam folder (\steamapps) you should have a file with that number on it, copy it and paste it in the new drive's \steamapps folder.

Then just do a verify instalation with steam. Should work.

EDIT: So to help you out, i checked, and the Warframe manifest is called "appmanifest_230410.acf"
Copy that file to the \steamapps folder on the drive you want warframe in. (If you don't have one you can create one with the method rawr1254 mentioned).

eh, I think DE should disable gear items for MR tests.

Mesa is just a flashy example how to cheese the test but you could have go with any dps frame and just spam energy pizzas and then spam ult.

No Gear Items used, its Preparation Mod... Gives you 100% energy at the start.

Aura forma isn't really universal polarity symbol, it is pick one aura of this selected polarity. It doesn't do universal polarity like Protea where she actually have default version of it....unless they change it without I know again...

    *checking back*
    wtfug when they change it?

Never... It was always like that.

That was always the point of Aura forma, otherwise a regular forma would do the same thing.

Yes.The map I was on didn't really have that many vertical sections. It was a Grineer Spaceship map.

There's actually 2 places i can think of on the Grineer Spaceship where it spawns vertically and i think it doesn't show on Primed Animal Instinct at least.
The Audio Cue is the best help in those cases.

Oof ... I remember when one of my clanmates sold a 6 forma Gram Prime cause they were selecting different random items in their inventory that they didn't need anymore, they only noticed it was gone when they tried to select it in the loadout before a mission start, we all chuckled for a while, and we're constantly reminding them of the blunder.

They contacted support about potentially retrieving it, since it was an accident (that, and there's no confirmation window of trying to sell/discard a built/forma'd/equipped item from any of the loadouts before selling), by the time suport responded, they already got a Gram Prime, and put 6 formas into it.

Not trying to make their support team look bad, just pointing out the reality of the situation, they're swamped with a lot of other stuff that they really can't respond in time, and there's also COVID19 measures disrupting their ability to respond.

I can tell you two different stories that happened to me...
First, this was in the old UI where everything was only text, and not categorized... So i sold my First catalized and forma'd weapon, a Dread, along with some duplicate blueprints (things didn't stack).
I contacted support and got it back in like 2 days.

Another time, i was farming for Frost during the unvaulting along with my brother and friends, and the rare part dropped, but i alone didn't get it, contacted support for it, since it was clearly a bug. And by the time they gave me the part, i had already farmed a new one, built the warframe and got it mastered (i only had a week or so until the unvaulting ended, so i didn't want to risk not getting it back from support).
So yeah, results may vary. Just hang in there and don't despair.
