  1. It's the viral proc on self-damaging weapons, if it procs on you AND your hp goes below 0 it insta-deaths you. It's a bug old as the old wukong's defy, when it used to kill you bypassing the bleedout timer even when defy was active. Sad to see it's still there with the "new" defy passive

It's just insulting at this point that those issues aren't even mentioned in a devstream, it's just swept under the rug, as if nothing is going on.

Yes, pretty much it. I too had high hopes they would address the matter at Tennocon, expecially with what they are going to release. yet they play it as the matter never existed to begin with, as if this old core problem isn't going to affect the new expansion at all. there have been millions of posts like this in the long history of Warframe, and from what I've seen so far it has never been officially recognized by DE, only by the usual fanatics who chant the mantra "Hurr muh indie gaming studio can't afford servers"

as a fellow consumer which regularly supported the studio with some platinum purchases here and there, I feel kind of fooled at this point. I have been orbiting around this game for 3 years now, as an "oldish" player I look more forward to some fresh QOL changes being brought along the new big updates, but their standard answer to this is always "Hey son, dont worry about that. Here's the new shiny stuff, which will be riddled with the old same bugs, BUT HEY you can buy more deluxe skin and prime trinkets too!"

In my opinion the P2P system is holding the game back and always reminds it it's running on early 2000's tech.. just imagine how we could enjoy completely seamless gameplay with servers, how it would improve stuff like open worlds and railjack, by players coming and going how they wish, with no interruptions..

It's just a dream at this point.

Also this, I'm sure that is what is bottlenecking the entire potential of the game, the new expansion included.

  3. Just as title says, it doesn't work at all when you're a client, while when you're the Host everything goes smooth
Also found someone pointing it out long before this post on the ps4 section:

I really dig Wukong's new augment mod, Celestial Stomp. It seems to consistently work if I'm the Host of the party, but if I'm the Client often it just wont work.

Example: The Celestial Twin will stomp the ground but no enemies are knocked up into the air. No CC actually happens.

Example: Upon activation of the ability, nothing happens at all.

im getting kinda tired of these p2p problems

  4. This is not a feedback or anything, I m just genuinely wondering after all the time I played this game if we'll ever get rid of this plague. In the 2-3 hours of play I invest weekly I always get to deal with a peruvian host playing on a dial-up connection and his old crappy laptop sporting a floppy disk, or just the general c#nt who host migrates you right before extraction, or being permanently stuck in the spaceships loading screen, you name it. Don't get me wrong, people can play what they want with what they have for all I care, but since there's no option that allows you to always be the host nor the ping limiter we already have does jack sh#t about it, which people host becomes also your problem.

I also recently watched the tennocon where they showcased Railjack/Empyrean, and from what I've seen you can figure out where DE wanted to go. they want the new space-roaming system to integrate and interact with the old instances one, rather than the isolated mode of archwing missions we have now. They also want it to synergize in a way that the squads cooperate together in a great war effort that makes you feel much more immersed in the whole tenno shabang than the leaderboards we have now in the periodic events, where you just check some numbers that goes up and some bar that fills in the general progress of the players. This isn't great, this is totally AMAZING. But on a peer 2 peer connection? Oh hell Host migration has never felt more threatening. I still remember the pain that was just the gate in PoE.

Now then, we already have a game in which P2P and dedicated server coexist, and honestly I would prefer to pay for the game and play on a solid server connection than relying on the hosting of other users and hoping to have luck in the RNG of wonky connections, but I'm not so stoic on my opinion and i'd like to hear yours about the matter, food for thought

It’s your decision to take fella, you can also try to reason with yourself and put it in perspective like this: are you willing to spend the precious time of your short lifespan to agree a decision made by another human bean, working at this game studio, basically pressing a zero too much in the requirements of this one sub-par weapon and calling it a day, when the enjoyment you ll get from it would probably be a lot less compared to the time you invested to unlock said weapon?

  6. I’d say add diversity back to the game more than nerfing stuff, if you nerf x weapon or x frame there will always be another one to take the spot and the cycle never ends.

-So make healer, support and CC roles actually useful, I used to like more support/healer roles but in this game feels more like covering a lack of proper building on the other players part than actively supporting and adding value to the team

-give CC a reason to exist again, which means creating situations where it’s smarter and faster to stall the enemy than having an higher DPS output, point in case Nox Bursas and Nullifiers, they are failed attempts at this as you can brainlessly force your way through them for how busted the DPS is

-again add diversity to the enemies too, make units that can parry every melee, ones that can absorb bullets around them,  as a way to balance the gap of benefits between guns and melee combat. Rework the armor scaling and that brainlet thing they call AI

-Remove the stupid invincibility phases, the immunity to warframe powers, the silly knockback spam. Those are just symptoms of poor game design and inability to properly address the current powercreep situation, as they dont promote variety but kill it. They strip the players of choice, no matter what frame or build they choose, turning the game in a generic no-name shooter, robbing ‘frame’ from Warframe

-Give a rebalance to those lame AOE nuke skills, and the sick “damage ticks in the distance on the enemies you’re not even aware of” STRAT. Either by reworking the range in a LOS, or adding counters to it i.e. enemies capable of discharging on the ground volt’s electicity around them. Or leave em nukes as they are, but add a requirement to charge the skill before launching it and a CD to reuse it , in a way to prevent spam

-Also making loadouts less dependable on core mods, they could take away mods as Serration and the likes since they are a given, and maybe people would start to consider as a viable option those niche mods DE is handling out by a year or so, adding even more variety to each warframe’s build.

  7. Dear OP, I think the comparison you make stems from the same problem.

I m not sure at which point but to me it seems part of the community got deluded into thinking that swinging a stick on the wall and beating someone 8-9 meters behind it is a totally legit mechanic of the game; or a mod granting every melee to crit despite their parameters not being a straight cheator that slapping all the available range mods on a nuke frame and obliterating everyone in the map that you re not even aware of is something that was totally intended, and it s not just game developers having screwed with parameters over the years by handling out more and more powerful buffs to keep people engaged with their game.

How many active players are there currently?
Rebecca: The number we can reveal is that there are 50 million "Warframe" accounts. That's 50 million people around the world playing this game

Top kek, the interviewer asks how many active players are there, and she replies with 50 million registered accounts= we have 50 million people playing, yet we can’t pay for servers and still rely on the old as the internet p2p.

I d bet my kidney they can’t even reach one million of individual players in the span of two months, across all platforms

So nothing wrong. A bit of farming won't kill anyone.

And really, if only a few people contribute, then that's not a problem with the Hema Research. That's a problem with people's mentality.

na lad, I'd rather say it's not a problem with people contribution and more like people's mentality to perorate the Hema research

please don't nerf the redeemer prime stop asking for nerfs OMG

Oh please we both know how disgustingly good the redeemer prime is, Infinite ammo, no reload, quick firing speed, blast procs, no recoil, insane range and all the benefits from the melee mods and combo counter. And this comes from someone who uses the redeemer, a LOT. It's my little guilty pleasure, I can't bring myself to get a catchmoon because I can't shake off how it looks like a shower-head, or to use a nuke frame like saryn because the ensued boredom. But this lil' baby? oh hell I'm taking it with me. I even worked a 120% status + 60% attack speed riven for it, and whenever a bullet sponge enemy show up and I feel like cheating the game, this sweet thing comes out and goes bang-bang. But you know, if I had to wake up one day and see that it was nerfed, I wouldn't complain, not one bit, because back in my mind I know fully how OP it is, and thinking otherwise would mean I deluded myself

  11. Yes this is a problem old as MMOs and people who stick in since the end of the 90's should be really aware of that, what i don't get tho is how individuals are jumping the gun in actively believing that how DE CHOOSE to approach the matter (the hot potato way) is the one and better choice (for who then? for the greater good of consumers?) and must be accepted by everyone as universally rightful

So, in a real environment if I receive a false 10 banknote of change by legal means, I did lose 10 bucks, in this environment instead if I trade something by normal means and receive 1k 'black' platinum in return, not only did I lose the 1k plats to begin with, but I also lose all my possessions If I do not repay 4 times the price of those 1k plat (no 75% discount), and my only sin to be the poor unlucky basterd on the receiving end of this fraudolent chain.

Truly ghastly thought, if this is really how things are being handled a clarification by the Digital Extremes is MUCH needed, and sincerely baffles me to see fellow consumers jumping so easily on the company's bandwagon on this one

Seriously, what is up with the RNG of items within the past six months? This is not okay.

Feels like trying to stretch the broth with ridiculous drop chances, meanwhile the boss fight they designed for months lasts 5 minutes. I don't know what to think

Go for the gladiator mods like you do with Valkyr (in the stat stick melee weapon and use helios' deconstructor for the full 6 set bonus), and you have a juggernaut who takes practically no damage and does 100% red crits

wait lad how are you building combo counter with baruuk's desert wind in the first place

  14. I was going to support you OP and your fellow clanmates, as long as you were willing to defend the fact that you won that weapon in a contest and that the reward it's now being sell off by the space egyptian peddler, even if it meant for you to be controversial by sending a big "#*!% you" to the rest of the community that is now mocking you in 8 pages of thread, because you think you rightfully earned that weapon and which I think it's fair to say that if something is decided to be put as a prize in an event, it should only be obtainable in the same way in future events, otherwise it would not be something of value to participate in

But then you proceed to go on saying stuff and overstating facts like:

    • "veterans that worked their absolute hardest" "content that was created as a reward for those who put as much work in as possible" when i clearly remember it was an easy challenge and more of an endurance test in staying on a mission the longest time possible with a piss bucket under the chair like that Cartman scene in south park, which to me sounds more to how much one wants to degrade himself or his time than a challenge of "hard work" or skill
    • hiding behind politically correct statements that your clan gave the ignis for free, as an excuse to get people to plead your cause. If you want everyone to have access to it what's the point of this thread? are you just mad that you can't feed people by hand anymore?
    • then you contradict yourself by saying that this will make the search useless and lower the price, when you first explicitly said that it is your clan's intention to make it accessible to everyone and it should be in your best interests that it is now on sale for everyone

    🤷‍♀️

  15. The main reply to the problem of endgame which is being spammed on this forum is the silliest thing I ever read. "you should do yourself the challenge", based on your same reasoning DE should give the option for unlimited resources and it would be up to the player wether to use it or not.

And let's try to establish for once that there are many ways to face a challenge, you either go the long way and spend the time of your life to grind better gear in order to EASE a challenge as you can choose the short way and face it in harder conditions, but the latter is nothing but one of the MEANS to achieve the goal, the whole point here is that in the final stages of the game there's no difficulty to begin with. Those who have chosen to invest their time in the game, the so-called "veterans", you can't go and tell them that in order to feel engaged they should trash their time and dedication to the game by not using the stuff they spent time gathering to compete in the endgame, because that is ASININE AT BEST and BAD GAME DESIGN. jesus christ how is that hard to grasp?
