  1. I'm currently taking a Computer Science class with C++ as the class language.  I'm having trouble wrapping my head around this concept because I just can't find a good use for them.

I heard it is indispensable to use in games such as Warframe.  Can anyone explain to me the use of pointers in Warframe or any other game?

If it helps, I have more experience with coding in JavaScript.  Whereas if I had multiple things containing a similar variable, I would just create a new object with that similar variable as a property.

  2. I've thought of this while looking at a certain game's wiki.  What if Warframe incorporated an enemy unit(probably Corpus) that did not allow Warframe abilities to be used within a certain range?

In theory, this should help reduce ultimate spamming.  Of course, calculations have to be taken into account including power range mods and the powers themselves (Invisibility disrupted within the range of the unit and more)

Or perhaps as a part of a sabotage mission where players cannot use powers until the objective has been completed.

  3. I also want to give thanks to VeryNinja.  You triggered a mass wave of joy and happiness to the players and DE at the same time.

You made my day good sir (Even though I should have been reading up on learning C++ for class)

  4. I still have to pick Spear Lann's up every minute or so in 24mans.

    Yeahok. Get some swords +yay

    I'm loving Hurk tho.

I heard the servers are better.  I quit last year around March if that helped.  The last thing I did was do a Hidden hard solo with vella with no cross cuts at lvl 42.

  5. Sorry guys, I think I've delayed U12 for a few hours just by making this thread.

I think that's fine.  The way I see it, it's like we're children stretching out our arms to a parent.  We desire their attention through many ways.  We want this, we want that.

And DE, trying to comfort us as much as possible, works hard in the background to bring us happiness.  For that, we return attention to them by giving them some sort of purpose to work for.

I reckon this thread has made the entire staff's days, for it made them feel loved and motivated by many Warframe lovers after such a hectic day.

    :)

  6. Hi, My name is Nosebleed and I am interested in joining your clan.

    1. Excalibur, Ash, Valkyr, Loki, Volt, Mag, Rhino, Trinity, Nova(Ready to build in foundry).  Main is most likely Loki.
    2. At least 4-6 times per week.
    3. Mastery rank is 7
    4. This is the main reason why I'm interested to join this clan.  A clan that encourages and even enforces active communication.  So yes, count on having an extra talkative member.
    5. My previous clan had members that did not care one bit about each other.  I prefer a clan that loves to talk to each other on any topic.
    6. Kentucky, USA (Am I the first?)
    7. Yes!

    8. 18!

  7. Hanatan's voice is great, definitely up there with Ranko and Chata!  If I knew she participated in some doujin albums, I would definitely collect them.

Speaking of vocaloid, it would make my day if she did some covers of this album:

  8. I personally never played the WH40k table-top games.  I only played the Dawn of War series.

But I could easily read the WH40k section of the Lexicanum for hours.  I especially loved reading the extreme details behind how a Space Marine is created.

  9. No! Don't kill the centipede!

They don't bite (if you cornered them or pick them up, they will try to defend themselves.  They can't penetrate human skin though).  They eat all the bugs at wherever you live at, including bedbugs and silverfish.  You'll only see them at nighttime and they'll just run away if they see.

They may look scary, but that doesn't justify a good enough reason to squash them when they are benign, chemical and pesticide-free super-exterminators who charge nothing for their services and keep to themselves... other than an occasional windsprint across your bathroom floor.

  10. I'm going to first state that this is not a good or a bad thing.

Back on subject, every single Lotus Intel video I watched have always unsettled me.  They give off this cryptic atmosphere that make me feel more paranoid that usual.

Whether it's the static on the Fusion MOA video, or Rebecca's warped satanic shodan voice on the Grineer Deployments video accompanied by low key lighting; I think DE has a hidden talent at futuristic nightmare fuel.
