  1. That's awesome man!

May I ask how you got the trailer animations? Was it something premade by DE or did you make it yourself?

Its pre made by DE them selves, I just thought I'd give it a creative spin.

Very well made! I'd love to see where you take it. My only criticism is that the narrative is too echo-y. Tone it down a down a bit. Also it looked like there was a excal producing a volt shield, which threw me off momentarily.

It does throw people off, sorry about that. Just the animation cycle was to perfect for the narration I couldn't pass up the chance.

Me gusta. But how will it be made? Actual gameplay, Gmod, SFM?

It will be ingame best I can. If I could find skilled Gmod/SFM users, I'd ask for the assistance.

Please use your own gameplay footage, I'm tired of ppl using pre-rendered cut scene from the trailers. Be more creative. I'm kinda like your voice-over though. Keep it up.

The pre-rendered footage will be used from time to time, not fully, to convey a point or plot. If the assets are already there might as well use it to its full advantage. Like i said above, Ingame assets will be used and re-purposed to make the story I feel belongs.

Overall Chapter 1 which will be the intro will be pre-made to a degree to lay down the foundation, after that a ton of ingame with some outside if I can find help making it.

  2. This is a teaser trailer for a movie I am going to be making for warframe. I'm playing is safe with this so I will not be giving the frames voices, for fear of being persecuted.

This will be a chapter styled series, with some acts and scene mixes.

Please note, that this is a mock up teaser, the final version may not be the same to the one you see before you.

Comment and share your thoughts on this whole idea. I am open to suggestions and willing to take help when offered it.

  3. You seek balance where it is need least.

It's a PVE cooperative game. Nerfing your team mate decreases your chances of winning.

What PVE should be first balanced or fun ?

You know crap abilities like +10% damage or +5% defence are good in pvp games, not so much in PVE.

Now fix your desire to have balance where it least belongs.

Games like Dungeon Defenders or Sanctum which are pure PVE must have balance.

To declare a PvE game does not need balance is the most ignorant thing a gamer can do. In a pure team orientated game balance must exist so you can maximize and reward those who work together. If one person does no do their part then the team will fail, something this games does not do until extreme level ranges of 40+.

Due to the lack of balance a single player can steam roll the whole game with the right build with no skill required. Balance exist so there is a fair mix of skill and power. So if there is a member who lacks power, others can make up for in skill. Even if there are some who lack skill they have power to help them learn.

So do us a favor and educate yourself in game mechanics, along with what makes a game fair to the users.

  4. I am not against changes, everything changes. I am against DE blindly obey nerf cryiers whithout thinking of what they are doing.

People cry nerf - DE implement nerf. And they don't even say why it was neccesary, they just do it. They don't say what is the benifit of the change, they just do it and do it on behalf of nerf cryers.

    Warframes lose their unique specialities.

Every warframe exceled in a certain area(most of them), this however soon won't be an issue and the real difference between them will be looks and ability FX.

Do you really understand what the term balance means?

The frames that have need or receive a nerf is because they excel far to much in a particular area. Throwing that ability into the godmode area, when we have a frame that does "godmode" damage or defenses it removes all challenge in the game. By providing said nerf, is to drastically down scale them so it may require some skill to operate.

The following example is not true to everyone but it has happened a ton of times.

Frost Snowglobe: There have been many users seeing a frost stand in an area and just idle from time to time just spamming SG to provide bullet wall to defend said location.

Fix: Limit the godmode properties of the skill so it has forced limitations so it will require timing and multicasting to provide extreme levels of protection.

Did this solve the issue, partly. Will more work be done to fix this? Of course.

Trinity Blessing: Users have had trinitys come to a game and just provide damage immunity in survival/defense missions removing all changes of death from occurring.

Fix: Limit the damage negation to a certain percentile based on the urgency of the situation. Thus removing total spamming of the skill, here by removing the unable to fail state.

Did this solve the issue, yes. Will more work be done to fix this? Of course, there are still loopholes and skill is on the weaker side on extreme levels.

    (Even better, I'll go there)

RHINO IRON SKIN: It provided a set time of total damage immunity, providing 100%, zero chances to die in this form.

Fix: Make it absorb damage of ### amount, remove timer so its not time bound.

Did this solve the issue, of hell yes it did. Will more work be done to fix this? Possibly, damage cap is rather high until extreme levels where it is nothing but 2 sec of immunity, before 1 sec of death.

In the end balance needs to be achieved, the issue is where is that balanced targeted for. My answer is the mid-game, where it is so small that no one really considers it.

Edit: Added styles to make key text pop more.

  5. Shhhhhhh be patient!!!! It's beta :) Patience :) :)

    ;)

Okay, from this point on, you are on my avoid list. You have proven to me 3 times you really aren't going to change that snarky attitude. You are being upsupportive and seem to be here mainly to troll and derail this topic.

I think a lot of the negativity stems from arguing/discussing from 2 different starting points. Let me focus on the commonly used phrase "X is useless at high levels". These are generalizations to give a picture of what I am talking about and not meant to represent either sides position. I can't use who I want to use its not fun.

Camp A: DE you changed X making it useless after lvl 45. The damage/utility is now pointless. X is ruined for high lvl play.

Camp B: please nerf X some more. It trivializes all enemies until lvl 45. The newest boss is lvl 41 and we just walk right over him. Their is no challenge it's not fun.

These two camps will never be able to agree on anything because they desire two entirely separate and desperate outcomes. We need a little more clarity of vision. DE seems to know what they want to make but the community doesn't seem to clear on it.

There are 2 sides to this coin, which will be hitting either side every time. I hope that by the time the relays are out and some more detailed story and lore are presented, this game should be on a more leveled skill to power ratio. Thats just wishful thinking for me but its a hope and goal none the less.

  6. oh I got it you are just pushing your warframe channel

    nah ill pass

    only decent channel is mogamu

Are you seriously redirecting the attention. I'm saying we want to see a supportive community. Not saying hey look at me, i make videos, give me all the attention i desire. I said we make videos because we like the game and we want to create a supportive community.

Ok, yeah I was replying to KrashOmnis who responded to me in a bit of an extreme way. Called me a straw man for saying something you yourself confirmed :p

Yes, but that is derailing from the main point which he was supporting. We need to reward and encourage constructive feedback, discourage negative blind hate and rants bashing a change or feature.

  7. KGB :p

Of course no one is actually silencing anyone. I'm not even saying that.

I'm saying there are issues that are present and the OP is talking about being patient and not pressuring DE to make future things happen.

The OP actually confirmed avoiding it, after you post by the way.

Like i said, time is not the issue, how the community behaving about it and how they addressing issues is the problem.

KrashOmnis, Mogamu, and Myself have youtube channels that revolve around Warframe. I can say that's a safe bet that we want a friendly and supportive community first and foremost for this game. We want to see it succeed and strive, we have really high hopes for it once is complete.

All I'm asking is for people here to spread the word and advice people things take time, patience, love, and constructive support in order for things to do better.

  8. While the OP may seem pleasing to read, it actually dodges the "issue" of people bringing thngs up.

The OP is only telling people to be patient because _____ can be implemented in the future.

People raising ciriticisms and concerns on the forums are usually talking about what DE has done and are doing.

Should we stay silent and not say a thing about, I don't know, easymode? Braindead enemies? Lack of serious atmosphere?

I did avoid the subject matter of time for feature ______. On the sole reason that nagging or complaining over it does not make it come out sooner, nor does it improve the quality of said feature in the end.

The issue I'm trying to address is not about feature ________ not coming out by time _______. What I'm trying to address and lessen is the fact that so many users are hostile because its not out yet. Even worse being that its is out and they hate what its changed.

We all by now have seen the spreadsheet with promised and spoke about features. We can see snippets of progress in the dev livestreams. We know they are in the works and are being finalized.

We just have to address and encourage real feedback that is not masked behind the vile of:

    Beta

    Soon™

    Around  the corner™

Its Free to play, don't complain.

    Pass the popcorn

    Oh this thread again.

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^

That up there just creates more hostile threads and makes things worse in the end. Which can cause hard to the community in the end, something I would really hate to see happen.

  9. While I understand that developing a game takes time and effort, more time and effort than I can imagine, it does not excuse the fact that major issues brought up by so many people are seemingly ignored in favor of pushing more content.

It doesn't help that DE's actions at times do not reflect their words. An example would be how a while back Scott (I believe it was Scott) said that they wanted to reduce the grind, yet ever since then there has been nothing but more grind. An example of what I mean would be the Vay Hek boss fight, or more specifically what is needed to actually get there.

And I know I sound ungrateful, but its just frustrating (IMHO) seeing stuff like this happen. I really do appreciate DE continuing to work on this game, I just really wish that they'd focus more on polishing/fixing up more of their old content rather than add more content that they have to hide behind even more grind walls lest their players get bored.

Something I would like to point out is yes, this does happen a ton. We cant deny it, but on a developer point of view I can see why they are doing it, even if it is wrong to go back on ones word.

Its either fix "x" now just to fix it again when feature "y" is implemented.

    Or

Put "x" in now whiles its ok, then implement "y" & "z" soon™. THEN Fix all 3 when its fair and even.

  10.  he/she thought it was worth it to make a PSA about it.

I think when people say "DE works hard!" in responses to criticism, it's like forum code for "Hey man, you're being kinda rude, calm the frick down now, and ditch the attitude". Some people just don't want to deal with the repercussions of saying that, and they resort to the "DE is amazing!" quip. I guess we better man up and start politely telling each other we're being a bit rude.

I'm a guy and yes, we just cant avoid the issue and say unsupportive people should be ignored. All that does it allow those who acknowledge them and heat the flame to make it large and worse in the end.

  11. Being critical of this game has proven to be detrimental to ones ability to actually post. Or people jump down your throat for pointing out something wrong. I've noticed that people mention that they love the game several time when they are pointing out something they dislike, like they are afraid what would happen or how people would react if they simply pointed something wrong with the game out. I don't know where you are seeing all this toxic behavior, but EVERY SINGLE update or hotfix is FLOODED with "Thanks DE." Before anyone has even played the update. Blind praise even if the fix/update is broken or damaging to the game. I think that behavior is more toxic, as it prevents people from actually telling DE they are doing something wrong. It encases them in a blanket of support that will make them blind to their faults.

Toxic behavior was no specified to be exact. It can be toxic in a positive and negative manner. If it does not help the game development in a constructive manner it can be argued as toxic.

I'm pretty sure that the majority of "Thanks DE" posts on hotfix threads aren't "blind praise" as you put it. They're thanking DE for their continued work on the game.

For example, when DE pushes out a hotfix at 1 AM (yes, this has in fact happened, several times from what I remember), that sort of thing is deserving of thanks in my opinion (they are sacrificing their sleep in order to fix bugs).

On other hotfix notes that are for a small group of things (i.e. if it's a hotfix that fixes 5 or 6 things like UI bugs, foundry problems, etc) there isn't really much to say beyond "Thanks" anyway, since there aren't major changes.

Beyond that, we have feedback forums for the majority of feedback, and DE has been incredibly open about upcoming changes to mechanics in the game (i.e. frame ability changes) and have been gathering feedback from the Developer Workshop threads. It's much better than not announcing the change and then just implementing it to leave people fumbling with the patch notes.

It's perfectly natural to thank someone for their time and effort.

DE does so much for us if you are willing to look for it, or willing to accept it.

That's why I'm making this post really, its more of a look at what they do for us, and how they are doing it. Rather then something which can be zerged over and rejected.

They is no denying the amount of work and passion DE is putting into this game. Letter13 I think you can vouch for them on a personal level considering you've seen the office.

  12. There seems to be a lot of issues around the forums recently, with this whole balance and lack of updates conversations every other post. So I decided I would go out of my way to make a video to help shed some light onto everything.

Disclaimer: This post is to help others understand what it takes to make a video game. What is done behind the scenes at an studio when its time to code, animate, record etc. With your help we can reduce all this blind sighted judging on the forums. Thank you.

I have made a video for those who are of the TL:DR mentality so here it is.

    For everyone else:

Developing a game is a long and difficult procedure, it takes time, planning, preparation, and dedication. This is nothing new to some of you, the point I want to make is that everything is not ready at once or at the same time. Just because we get one bit of information here and there, doesn't mean that's all they are working on, it is far from it to be honest.

If everyone on here were to go to the community hot topics and read there, you would see where is everything and anything that is on the road map for the next few weeks on there. It is updated weekly to bi-weekly, it tells you what they are considering and what is in the works. The team is rather large but still small but other standards, they have limited resources, and limited man power like any other company. The team has a ton of things to do at the same time, with the same people doing multiple things at times.

Art Team: Weapon art, Level art, environmental art, enemy type, etc

Animation Team: Enemy, Gun, Melee, Interaction, etc

Sound Team: Enemy, Gun, Melee, environmental, dialogue, Music, Tenno Power, etc

We can do this all day really...

Point is Kubrow are on the way, Warframe nerf and buffs are on the way, story and lore as well. We just have to give them time to get things done in the end. There is a reason why making games takes 2-5 year unless you are recycling assets every single year.

If you guys really care about this game comment on here and be supportive. Stop all the flaming, all the hate, all the toxic behavior. Be reasonable and logical when seeing changes and expressing opinions.

Thanks for your time and support

  13. I found that when I went into hysteria that my attack speed was extremely slow. I checked on the update and hotfix notes and found nothing related to nerffing warframes (mainly interested in valkyr). I was wondering if this is a bug or was intended and never announced?

I've had that happen to me, it seems like a bug personally.

What i've done to fix is just swap weapons. Yes, you heard me right, change you weapons will in hysteria. She will do that little change animations and BOOM there goes your speed again.

The bug seems to be caused by melee 2.0 considering her claws and a unique weapon with a slow base speed value. When you swap it, it corrects itself and gives you the boosted speed right back.

  14. I made an alternate account and I found some of the same issues. All in Private matches. Funny thing is overall I loved the challenge it forced onto me. My concern quickly became, new players might lose the challenge quick.
