  1. Basically, the entire mod system needs to be reworked from the ground up. Mods should have never been additional raw damage, but instead been things like increased fire rate, reload speed, magazine size, and instead of adding elemental damage, should transfer a percentage of the damage to that element. For example, adding a 60% fire mod to a gun that does 100 physical should change the damage to 60 fire and 40 physical.

Of course, this would require a complete and total weapon rebalance alongside it. And of course, this would be mountain of work.

I'd also like to point out that this is my opinion of how mods should work. I'd prefer them to change things instead of just being damage output.

Just here to let you guys know if you have trouble sleeping free flight is a very soothing background and atmosphere to set your tv on while you fall asleep. Very beautiful and I can say it’s the peak of A tier sleeping help. I’ve been doing it for about a week now and it’s so calming.

I go to free flight to take a minute to enjoy the beautiful look of Warframe at its absolute best. Railjack is really beautiful, and I really wish more people would praise Railjack for all of the attention to detail it has. Plus the sounds are great. Free flight is just amazing and it's the perfect break. If only they'd add functionality to free flight, like the arsenal, that'd make it more useful instead of doing a full dojo trip.

    Uhh.
I hope this is not the case for my in-game Operator. What if I want a hug?

Operator is sitting in some hyper advanced life support system probably able to support all bodily functions, although we take that for granted because we are playing in some far future trans-human age where people really don't care about minor inconveniences anymore.

It's also possible due to invasive bio-engineering, all personal needs are very much toned down from the time of the "normal humans" long ago.

"I've seen the inside of a Tenno. Nothing makes sense."
    - Alad V.

To be fair, Alad was referencing a Warframe. Not an actual Operator. Also, that hyper advanced life support system is probably a system designed to help suppress and channel the Void energies within us. The way I look at it, there's no way with the Operators in the Void for so long that they need food anymore. Food is a way to gain energy, and the Operators are brimming with energy. I don't think human needs apply because of how our bodies work with our powers. Our bodies can turn into pure energy and transfer across immense distances with little effort. We have to be made of some form of energy. I'd like a definitive answer though, but based on the evidence in game of us being transferred such distances with no detriment to our form? We're definitely energy taking a physical form.

As for wanting a hug, there does exist personal shielding equipment from void radiation. Evidenced by Lotus' line of the grineer not properly preparing for the Void. So just get someone to wear some protective gear, and give you a hug! Problem solved!

  4. Does food do anything for a being that is constantly generating immense amounts of energy? Do we even sleep? Do Tenno have standard biological functions? I wouldn't think so. Eating food is done to acquire energy. If the Tenno is generating their own energy, if anything, they need an outlet for the energy they are generating. This means we probably emit a void radiation like a fire radiates heat. Imagine just hanging out with a Tenno, only to develop space cancer.

  5. How to make rip line not useless.
Step 1: Targeting terrain is utterly useless when we have so much mobility. Remove this feature.
Step 2: Pressing the button causes Valkyr to pull the enemy towards her, and simultaneously opens them to a finisher. If in Hysteria, Valkyr immediately dunks their skull into the ground. Holding the button causes Valkyr to launch towards the target, stunning them and opening them to a finisher, and if in Hysteria, does another unique finisher like tapping the button.
Step 3: Realize such a redesign damages the usefulness of her 3.
Step 4: Figure out a way to rework her 3 to work with the new kit.
Step 5: Realize you didn't think this through and have no idea for a reworked 3.

  6. Ordis should run every mission. Period. His current mission lines are great. I'd love to hear his interception lines from Limbo Theorem in the rest of the game. I love my cephalon, he's the best, and I really want to have maximum communication between us and him. A variety of in-mission dialogue between the Operators and Ordis would be fantastic imo. And what would be even better is cephalon to cephalon chats. Ordis and Cy would be fantastic when they interact. Honestly, I just want more dialogue for our lads and lasses. The criticism that comes from the writing imo comes from how often we've heard it. We need more dialogue from Ordis for the basic stuff like coloring and changing our arsenal.

  7. The problem also arises with the captain being the only to access navigation is that too many times, the captain would dart off into Archwing, die repeatedly, and now the mission is completely nuked because one player is out. A terrible situation entirely. This means the captain cannot get killed or else the mission is a failure. So letting everyone access it means the Captain's death is no longer a problem. New problem made by this fix is that there is no proper voting system. What needs to be done is allow for the crew to send the ship home if a captain dies. A quick trip to the dojo won't hurt anyone. Additionally, allow for individuals to manually extract by giving them an option at the end of the mission, or at the start of the next mission. Railjack is very much a work in progress and they do need to fine tune the systems.

Guns and Melees will always outperform the waste of time marking mechanic, there's absolutely 0 value in it, whether it's low level or high level content.

Aight, so, by this logic, a significant number of frames this game has to offer have absolutely zero value. A majority of frames cannot output the same damage a gun or melee ever could. My Vectis Prime far outweighs any power I typically use in terms of DPS, making only Saryn and Mesa in my current frame arsenal remotely useful in terms of damage with that logic. Just because Ash doesn't obliterate a room the instant he walks in like Mesa does doesn't mean he's utterly useless. His fourth works fine. I've never had it not do enough for the Sorties. His three is his biggest fault. You're signing off an entire frame because he isn't as powerful as you want him to be. There's a difference between being just alright, and downright useless. Just ask people who love Vauban. After CC died that poor frame had actually been useless for ages. Least he has some semblance of it back. He went from a king to a literal garbage back. Miss me with this absolute zero value. You're exaggerating immensely.

  9. Remember when during the reveal they shot the Forward Artillery at a capital ship? Now we use it on basic small cruisers. Neat. A Capital Ship Killer weapon is used for low level ships. Awesome.

That aside, I'd like to see Crewships be destructible by continuous turret fire. Damage portions like the engines, then the main hull and then say like another part on the underside becomes open to fire which leads right to the reactor to blow it up. Make it faster but more dangerous to board the vessel. Simple as that. Then let the bigger ships start flashing in. The Railjack is an Orokin all-purpose spacecraft clearly designed to be a threat to all classes of ship. I want to take down capital ships with this thing.

Nothing to this extreme extent, absolutly nothing, not even close. And not using it to those extreme levels makes it too slow to be worth using at all. It's terrible and I can't stand the thought of using my once favorite frame anymore since the change. If I do actually use his pathetic self it's only as full duration and staying invisible (sometimes with smoke screen augment but that forces you to waste mods on range) and hiding himself and his shame from the world forever. His 1 and 4 are never touched, and his 3 rarely. Incredibly boring but it's his only worth.

His first is actually really good, his third I'd agree if fatal teleport wasn't a thing, (though fatal teleport should be innate to the ability and should be changed because if we rely on augments to make something useful, the design needs some change, which means it does need looks.) You say you used to see him as your favorite. Yet, somehow when Ash has done nothing but get better from his past self, you seem to like him less. Weird. And if you're flailing your wrist to mark targets, then that's on you. And it is not too slow if you don't. It seems like you don't like it because it isn't exactly what you want it to be, and ignore every ounce of how good something actually is. What is your definition of worth in Warframe? Because I see Ash as worthwhile still. His kit is fine save for his third which needs some help. The rest of it is fine. Ash isn't terrible, stop acting like he's utterly broken in a bad way when he isn't.

  11. I look forward to it with anticipation. I would love more interaction with Ordis and Cy.

Focus more on stealth compared to loud. Stealth missions we utilize the stealth systems of the landing craft to sneak in, and have the defense systems of a ship be ridiculously powerful to discourage loud and proud overwhelming of the enemy, and give them the chance to fight us properly.
Loud we'd go in with the Railjack and target key ship systems, the idea being we're looking to cripple enemy ships by first weakening their support fleet of fighters then crippling the big boi by eliminating large portions of the crew and infantry within. Or by sabotaging the reactors to destroy the ship entirely.

Railjack could easily be a core part of the game, if done right. We'd need a huge missions overhaul to properly fix the disconnect and the lore issues, but DE can do it.

  12. I'm personally fine with the way bladestorm works right now. I remember at one point back when revives were an actual thing limited daily, that bladestorm was actually a detriment to me being helpful to my friends. I got stuck in a 40 second bladestorm when all my buddies went down. They all died and because back then we were rather new and rather weak they'd lost their revives. And I could do nothing but watch Ash stab a huge amount of dudes really slowly.

I would rather peacemaker be a kind of deadeye thing like red dead redemption. Mesa marks a few headshots, the number of which based on power strength and just lets loose with high powered heavy shots that decimate anything it blasts. And really emphasize the gun dance with a cinematic kind of camera thing that ash gets. It'd be cool, and she wouldn't just annihilate entire hordes of everything with her guns.

Though they would need to improve her first ability. I'd like to see something that kind of acts like a brief invulnerable dodge roll followed by a quick shot from her regulators. She does need some help as her kit is wonky and needs more interactions between each other and better to use abilities. Her 2 and 3 is just buffs, kinda like chroma but better, and her 4 is actually really good, unlike chroma.

You can download youtube clips and watch them locally. Any online converter or browser extension. 15 mins video in 720p will take maybe 70-80 megs, less in 480p. If you install adblock and ghostery or any other extensions to block ads and social networking - it will make your internet faster.

I already block, and even then you seem to think that I'm actually capable of downloading in a timely manner. During the day my internet is typically less than a megabit per second. Especially now seeing as my ISP sent a wonderful letter in the mail saying they are throttling harder because of the pandemic. Satellite service has taken a steep drop in quality. Plus, I also already tried, most converters end up having a failure because of my insanely high ping and low download speeds. When that failure happens, I have to start over. Which can set me back even more time. I've tried many workarounds. In the end, I will end up waiting 3x more time than I'll spend watching actual video. It's just not viable to wait 9 hours for the 3 hour VOD I want to watch.

  14. This has certainly been asked before, and I still have no idea why DE won't find a way to implement it. People would definitely pay some money for a rack to mount their guns onto walls in their orbiters. I mean, people spent tons of money on the floor cleaning drones.

  15. All I've ever read about it is that it is terrible to use. I don't think we should have auto aim. Instead I suggest we get an overload ability that causes the guns to go into hypermode for a moment, with increased damage, projectile speed, fire rate, but come at the cost of not cooling down until hitting an overheat, which takes longer than a normal overheat. Kinda like a panic button for a burst of high damage for a moment.

TL;DR - You can play warframe through your mobile data connection & the PDA+net app makes it so you don't have to pay your carrier for hotspot.

They find out you're using a way to tether without paying for it and they'll give you every ounce of fire they can.

Also, I'd like to mention that some of us do not have that luxury of having a good 4G connection. I live in the middle of the woods. I have neither access to good internet or 4G. My youtube is 144p. I have gotten used to such a connection.

And for those who say we could pay a provider to put lines in, we legitimately cannot. We called numerous ISPs and found out that for one, they have a competition contract that basically says they won't compete with each other in zones, so they have regions marked off on maps saying who will serve what area. So we had to call the company that served our area. They legitimately told us they would not put line down, even if we paid for it. They just flat out refused. They refused to provide service to us, regardless if we were to pay for it or not. Rude of them. We got stuck with satellite and now our internet sucks of course. ISPs are legitimately the worst garbage on this planet. And now there's this pandemic thing going on and I've been stuck with no job and garbage internet. Haven't played a multiplayer game, or even talked to my friends on Discord in over a year now. Yet the FCC regulations on coverage count us as being covered adequately.

As for Cellular connection being viable, it is. Data used during gaming is actually pretty minimal. Streaming videos at 480p is way more costly to your data than gaming is.

  17. For the love of all things holy, no. Gods no. Radiation is a great proc and changing it would severely damage Oberon as a frame. He'd lose a ton of CC, which would be absolutely nightmarish for his survival. Radiation is fine as is. And getting hit by it yourself matters very little. There are so many ways to cleanse a proc,it doesn't matter much.

Everyone who play Warframe since 2014-2016 never will forget about the Raids, which dropped the arcanes, and was replaced by the Eidolon Hunts.I don't know about you, but I really miss it that way, it was fun, it made it difficult for the game, and it was much more rewarding than the many game modes that you have today.  Through this post, I would like to ask DE to bring him back, and see if anyone else agrees with the return of this game mode

I will never forget Raids, but not for the reason you think. Arcanes annoy me, especially their mode of acquisition. Eidolons are not fun. Nor are they challenging. They are boring (imo because all three boil down to the same cycle) and honestly I cannot be convinced to try, even if arcanes are really good. It never was difficult. Arcanes and credits were the rewards that I remember. We have index and Eidolons that have replaced them. Index and Eidolons are actually leagues better at getting the arcanes and credits as well.

It never was difficult because it was down entirely to CC. In fact, the same thing would happen to the raid today as it did back then, except this time we'd straight up obliterate any enemy thrown at us, like usual. Instead of CC, we'd kill everything.

As to why I I will never forget the Raids. Maybe it was because the Raids were a horrible broken tragedy of a mode that utterly frustrated me into quitting this game for a long time?
Yes. Raids made me quit. At one time, they were the only thing I could do. And even then, I had to drag along 3 other people, and we'd beg to RNGesus that the game wouldn't explode. Raids were not difficult in any way shape or form. Especially Law of Retribution. They were just tedious. And they broke all the time. Jordas Verdict was a Raid I had so little experience in. I think I completed it maybe twice or three times, usually an hour into it because we weren't lightning fast. And it would just brick on several different phases. I cannot stress enough how a majority of all of my Raid runs ended in failure due to some sort of bug. It wasn't fun, it was aggravating, it was laggy, it was a nightmare. Raids were awful, and the only reason anyone looks back on them fondly is because they had force co op elements. But even then, those weren't exactly difficult elements. Stand on X spot while Tenno 2 was on Spot Y and while Tenno 3 was standing on spot Z. Tenno 4 would push the payload cart from point A to point B. Standing still is that really what we found fun? Was that the Raid you remember? Standing bloody still in one spot while someone walked from point A to point B? And all of this was for a single Arcane. Once per day, three raids, one of them a nightmare version of the first with very little changed. They honestly sucked. But they were all we ever got for something "endgame" in Warframe. That's why people "miss" them. They were an endgame. But comparatively nowadays, they'd be a walk in the park. The argument for bringing the old raids back is a rather weak one. It's nostalgia. That's the reason people want it back. You can say it is for the co op elements, but there hardly was any at all.

I'm honestly getting tired of seeing "Let's bring back Raids! They were great!" threads constantly pop up. Do people really remember what Raids were? Do they really remember how they ran? How easy they actually were in an age where our damage was nowhere near the output it is now? Where we used CC instead of damage because our guns were so much weaker then? This topic has been beaten ruthlessly with a maul to the point where it is just a stain on the floor, and yet we still keep swinging at it.

  19. Our warframes are insanely strong. I don't see why we couldn't hold two primaries. However, if the devs give us the ability to equip primary weapons in both slots and vice versa, it would be rare for any secondary to see any use ever again. Most secondaries are not as useful as a primary. Imagine pulling out a Rubico then pulling out a Tiberon. Not really fair to the Lex, or the Pyrana is it?

If the devs were to implement this, then a huge amount of weapons would need rebalancing, again.

    28 minutes ago, Dabluechimp said:

except for I think if you have two primaries than picking up a datamass or something you'd be forced to melee

You telling me that the mobile death machine capable of ripping out massive components of Exploiter can't one hand a Braton? Also, we're complete morons for not putting some form of rack or clip or handle, something anything really, that we can slip that datamass onto our...belt...something...syndanas? We're dumb becauase we carry those datamasses all the time and we never thought of finding a way to free up both of our hands to shoot gun. Deadliest warriors in the system folks. Link in Breath of the Wild decided he needed a belt to hold his Sheikah Slate because he knew he'd be carrying the thing around constantly. We do the same thing, but we're like, nah, that ain't worth it.

  20. I can see this causing some problems. Especially if the game misjudges how much speed to give you to reach your target with the swing and you go either nowhere, or to space at light speed. Plus, the targeting. Oh boy the targeting would be fun to watch fail and target something completely off screen and yeet us all the way in some random direction for some enemy.

And yes, Archwing melee exists and it targets things. Problem is, Archwing melee stops you, and that's really stupid and shouldn't happen on ground, plus, half the time Archwing melee is just plain garbage at actually finding the target.

  21. I don't see why Frost needs a rework. His entire kit is a perfect set of area denial abilities. All of them have their uses, all of them achieve what they were meant to do, and he does so while being incredibly helpful to the entire team. Frost needs no rework. He works as intended, and excels in the role. Few frames can claim they've been the best at what they do for so long. His defense is more versatile than Limbo, and has better coverage than Gara. All three are good, but Limbo's defense comes with a stricter limit whereas Gara's isn't as powerful.

The real problem isn't Frost. It is the gameplay he's suited for. Frost is a frame based around crowd control and area denial. A place he wholeheartedly dominates and is a top tier pick in the role. What fails is that Warframe does not have much of a place for such a style anymore. Scarlet Spear did bring some CC back, but ultimately, CC is still relatively weak compared to damage output. A majority of the game relies more on overpowering our opponents rapidly.

Frost is simply not a damage frame, in what is a very damage oriented game. Does that mean he needs a rework? Not exactly. Once upon a time, CC was very much king. Damage took a backseat to ensuring the survival of the objective or the team. That time is gone now. Damage is king, and CC only arrives to support it on a rare occasion. DE need to find a way to allow CC frames to shine alongside damage frames.

Not sure if an underdog story is enough to warrant not changing him 🤔

It sounds like he’s still useful; his ability to stasis hasn’t been stripped out, just reduced in effectiveness, right? Not having the event myself, it sounds like if people aren’t killing the Sentients fast enough with his stasis the way it is, there might be something wrong with the player’s builds or combinations.

Personal aside: I kind of like how Limbo is balanced overall; he’s really powerful, but he’s so powerful that he’s disruptive of a multiplayer team without communication, and with communication he shines. That’s a pretty unique way to balance a thing, I feel. Though being able to tell if something’s banished could be a little easier for me, personally

Please note that I am not against changing him. In terms of balance he's far too oppressive for anything that he can actually affect with his abilities. He either can hold something indefinitely, or he can't hold them at all. Now we have a middle ground that, honestly is annoying to deal with because there is no way of knowing that the sentient I'm about to hit with a stasis is gonna stop or not. And the reduced in effectiveness only works on Sentients, which a solution to a symptom of the problem that is stasis. He'll be back again when it's the grineer, infested, or Corpus. And odds are he won't get noticed if it is Corpus because they are probably gonna have 50 nullifying bubbles if they do a Corpus event.

The problem is, he doesn't just shine, he blinds. He's so good at what he does that he outclasses every other frame that does what he does. When his abilities work, he's tougher to kill than Inaros, and locks down an area better than Frost. The only time he fails to be a god is when the enemies ignore his abilities, or disable them entirely. He's not just really powerful, he is an unkillable god. And that comes down to one thing. Stasis. Making enemies immune to it removes the best survival tool Limbo has, leaving him entirely at risk with the only way to protect himself is to remove himself from the fight entirely. Making them resistant to it still leaves him at an annoying level where there is no indication of a target being resistant until you pop that stasis and they keep moving. The problem is best solved by a shorter duration on stasis, and a cooldown based on how long the duration of stasis is. It gives him a time to be vulnerable, which he can dart into the rift and leave everyone out of it, taking himself out for a duration and thus pausing any damage output he has as a compensation. Sure he can still never be touched, but now the enemy at least can do something during the cooldown, even if Limbo can just avoid them by being in the Rift while they are not. I'll probably end up thinking heavily on Limbo and coming up with rework ideas to make him a much more balanced frame overall.

U do realize the community would have hated that even more right? You need to understand that DE is trying very hard not to anger the community too much when making these changes which results in changes like this one. And by how this community whines like 5 year old babies most of the time, i understand that it's hard.

In doing so though, they've done nothing to truly fix the problem of stasis. A cooldown would keep the raw power of stasis, while not ruining the ability entirely against the Sentients. Stasis is Limbo's best tool. It allows him to deal damage without the reasonable fear that when one enemy sees him, he explodes. And again, when inevitably another event rolls around, and it isn't sentients, and it involves holding a position, guess who's a god again? Limbo. This change treated a symptom of the problem, not the actual problem, which in my opinion is a thousand times worse. The community would've hated it, but at least it would've better solved the issue that Limbo provides when he's actually useful for an event or mission type. Right now it seems like their approach is to make the enemy either immune to the effect, or just make them unable to be rifted entirely. Basically, the only way they've figured they could counter Limbo, is by simply not having him effect opponents. He's the biggest monster in this game for DE to overcome when balancing enemies. And they've decided against trying to bother with him, by making the rift not effect a large number of newer enemies. Orb Vallis has an extreme amount of nullifier bubbles when the alarms get higher. Demos pulse a nullifying field that prevents powers from effecting it within a certain range, collapsing cataclysm. All bosses as far as I can remember ignore the rift.

Limbo is the god of Warframes. The only way they've found to balance him is to not include him at all. If Limbo is effective for something, he's always the best at it. He appears from insignificance to become the literal god-tier frame for something. Like this event where, prior, Limbo really didn't exist. He wasn't seen. Suddenly an event pops up, and Limbo is good at it. Nay he's the best at it. And of course, he came from nowhere because the devs forgot he existed for a moment.
