  1. Caches used to drop prime parts if all 3 of them were opened. However, crafty players discovered a bug - opening all caches, seeing if drop is rewarding, if yes - do the objective and extract, if not - quit the mission. In the later case, Void key WOULD NOT have been used which made an opportunity to re-run Sabotage untill desired part dropped.

     

    Actually, if you do some reading in the update thread where they were removed, this is NOT the exploit. While mildly exploitive, true, and probably another factor in their removal, the actual exploit was *keeping* the part from the caches despite a mission abort, allowing one key to be used indefinitely to get any number of parts.

     

    So, the issue is not as simple as everyone's knee-jerk reaction implies, and could in fact require a complete re-write of the code dealing with cache rewards.

  2. Who said they would, when did they said they would fix it? Right now, you're just stirring rumors. If you want to be effective, you need names and dates.

    So far as I know, this comment when they removed it is all we've heard on the matter. (saying they're working on returning it, but exploits prevent them from leaving it as-is)
