Yes, K-drive is buggy for clients, especially when the connection is bad. It rarely happens for host. A workaround for this would be open your map, look for water (pond/lake/ocean) and adjust free-fall to that direction. Ideally you would be wrapped back to the ground when you touched any water the moment you repeat a fall loop.

Another workaround IF you finished the mission as client. Leave the squad, you would be teleported to the ground after host migration, keeping the progress.

There's actually an easier fix - dismount and re-mount your K-drive, as this will then reset you to ground level.

Occasionally it can take up to three attempts to do, but I've managed to escape freefalls in both PoE and OV doing this.

Another 2 weeks passed and again Baro brings primed disappointment. I cant believe i was foolish enough to be excited for baro for the first time in months after Red Text hyped him up yesterday. Then i arrive, click on "hide owned" as usual, and think to myself "You did it again Baro, you piece of sh*t. A stupid cosmetic i couldnt give a crap about".

Where are the new primed mods? Where the unique mods? Something to keep me going as a veteran, not the same old boring offers i already bought months ago. Since we're on the topic of new, where are the new augment mods for the newer frames? Their Augment mod schedule has been more than lackluster too. Many of the newer and less newer frames dont even have any augment mods

I've only been playing for a few months but Baro doesn't seem to be there to cater for the 'Veteran' player. Just the mechanism itself (trading 'trash' frame parts for ducats) seems to veer more toward the more casual player who runs fissures but doesn't do enough of them to build and/or trade for Platinum and who doesn't run enough higher level content to get stuff as natural drops.

At least that's how I see it, maybe I'm wrong...

That'd be a great idea. While not a fan of the rng involved this at least makes it a bit more malleable. Goes without saying that it must also have the option to keep the old roll, just like rivens, something which could be forgotten on first implementation due to oversight.

I second that! Given that two of the major moans with Railjack are the material economy and the dodgy RNG, then simply bumping the drop volumes and allowing people to re-roll makes a lot of that go away

You know, DE actually does pretty good job at not breaking stuff that works when they release new stuff.

I really hope somebody from Bungie has popped over to read this.

Their version of playtesting involves starting the game up, and if nothing immediately catches fire, they're good to go.

I actually wanted to do that, but it's 80 gigs download, and i don't want to download 80 gigs, f that. Does it have toroids farming when you stand in one place for hours hoping that something you don't really need or want would drop, so you can go and dispose of it immediately?

It's better than that - 80% of the drops are worthless in their raw form, and pointless when broken down into resources you'll be neck-deep in within the first hour.15% of the drops 'might' be useful, but more than likely have the wrong rolls on them to be anything other than fodder for upgrading genuinely useful gear. Of the remainder, 4% are actually useful and 1% are of the highest rarity, but will usually have stats that are even lower than the worthless 80% you tried to get rid of ages ago.

No trading, limited customization, 27 'classes' in total (3 main, with 3 elemental variations and 3 'sub-classes' of each of those which are barely any different), no in-game LFG (or even chat on console) and matchmaking for only 70% of the content. The story content is largely unfinished and looks like binge watching an afternoon of TV on SyFy where all of the programs have been cancelled without resolving their story arcs.

Plus, you'll more than likely complete the 'main' story within 8-10 hours with a few other bits to do but you're going to have to shell out around $60 to play content from the last two years, most of which is like a desert because people hammered through it within a month of release. Anything released in the last year is essentially just different variations of 'horde mode' and the last one has a bug which renders one of its components inaccessible unless you have RNG in your favour.

You constantly find yourself running into invisible walls and stuck on the scenery. There are bugs in it which are 3 years old which Bungie avoid talking about any time they're asked and the PvP and forums make the 'toxicity' on here look like a warm oil massage with bowl of pot-pourri wafted in front of your face.

Oh, and unlike toroid farming, none of it is optional. You're essentially herded into repetitive daily tasks because it is the ONLY way to progress in the game full stop, rather than an optional method of progression in only ONE area. And that progression? All taken off you every 12 weeks (like being forced to forma ALL of your gear, only to find that forma removed again once you've leveled it).

You're p*ssed off because a single update has bugs, grind and a seemingly pointless repetitive loop, that the developer has stated they'll address.

Just imagine if you'd had TWO YEARS worth of it and the developer refused to even acknowledge it...

I have no clue how that happened but the only problems werereactants not showing up visually and doors that required two players to open would open with just one: everything else, including the correct loot distribution, seemed to work just fine.

I actually had something similar last night - had a host migration during the mission before we'd met the objective, found myself on my own but with the 'Get to extraction' prompt. I then  extracted, got my reward as if I'd completed it solo, but as the loading screen finished it THEN rejoined me with the original group!

I've also seen prompts that ''X' has joined the group', only for them to appear a couple of minutes later right in front of me.

    nope. Next challenger?

Well, you're number 2 in a group of 4 people that doesn't exist

Meanwhile, a group of 3 people is waiting for 4th person (who doesn't exist) to turn up

You don't have a sentinel, but you (who doesn't exist) are having your shield recharged by the non-existent sentinel belonging to another player (who also, doesn't exist)

You've also collected all of the reactant you need, but as you don't exist, it probably doesn't count

So apart from the whole non-existence thing, I don't see a problem here.... 😀

Ah, dang. So I can't map the paddles to stuff like individual powers on PC or set one to Crouch or something?

You can map the RB and LB in addition to the face buttons, however it's just a mirror of an existing button function - you don't get 4 extra buttons with their own individual functions.

EDIT: I'll need to check, but I think the thumbstick 'clicks' are also mappable, because they count as buttons.

Or can you simply remap the individual controller buttons to actions that already exist on the controller?

The paddles simply remap the four face buttons (ABXY), so unless you have something bound to those it probably won't work. You might be able to use something like Xpadder to extend the pad functionality though (it's been a while since I've used it, but I believe you could add 'conditionals' to button presses to extend how they work (i.e. short button press for light attack, long button press for heavy, button combination for macro etc.)

I've been with this game for around 6 years and love it to bits. I've taken several breaks from the game and come back to it without difficulty every time.

    However this has changed.

A while ago I heard about Railjack and that's pretty big. I love the idea. So I tried to get back into the game once more only to be met with a huge grind to obtain a railjack. Now this is nothing new. Warframe is famed for it's grind. However I have grown up and no longer have time to commit to that grind. On top of that I hear, not sure, that the grind has gotten far worse which is impressive but also terrible. Point is, I couldn't get back into it, and that really bums me out. I am the big sad.

    😞

Go play Destiny. Seriously, go to Steam, download Destiny 2, and play it for a couple of weeks.

That should be enough time to really get things in perspective, and make you appreciate what a pointless, tedious grind TRULY is.

We'll all still be here when you get back, 😉

  11. A little update to this - after spending so long responding to this (and trying to offer some encouragement) I decided to go back to the MR 8 test and give it another try. Full disclosure, I actually fluffed the vertical wall on the first attempt after trying to do it in one bullet jump, but completed it on the second attempt.

The 'moral' of this is that when I initially tried this it took me AGES to get right, with a lot of planning, strategy and practice.

Now, it's pretty much second nature. Just get used to traversal in the game, learn what works for long jumps and what works for short, and above all don't get despondent.

Don't try to force it too much and It'll happen (and you'll find that your overall experience with the game will improve too).

I move around the game quite well, much better than in the practice area. It comes down to not really understanding all the button presses, joystick moves etc.  I think I'm  doing what you guys are suggesting but maybe I'm  not. Obviously I'm  not  otherwise I'd  pass the test.

What I don't  understand is how no matter what I do, I am just missing the platform. Is that just the animation or am I really always one tile too long?

I've  started at the front of the platform I'm  on, all the way to the back, bullet jumps,  aim glides, still like one tile too long.

I've  stolen this thread from the OP, which wasn't  my intent.

Watch the video posted above (it's actually really informative), as it shows plenty of ways to take the momentum out of a jump if you've 'overcooked' it (or glide to add more distance if that's the issue).

Hello! so im currently trying to complete the sands of inaros quest. I started with the seeker symbol on the urn and went through my first seeker mission. got the message that the symbol changed but on the urn the symbol is still the exact same. Ran missions with seekers in it a few times and each time got the change of symbol message but not a change of the symbol and presumably no progress within the quest. Am I the only one having this issue? If not any helpful tips on how to fix this?

Just a couple of things (which might seem obvious, but worth just checking off).

    1) Make sure the quest is your active one

    2) Make sure the Urn is equipped in your gear wheel

I originally had trouble with this and those both turned out to be the issue on different stages (I started another activity and unflagged the quest as 'Active' and after an update the Urn had disappeared from my gear wheel)

Also, if you don't run the missions solo, you sometimes don't get the credit for the kill if yours isn't the final blow.

    no.

Toxic behaviour was present in some forms or another for as long as I've been around which is a fair bit (6 years).

people leaving mission because someone dared to bring X frame, people leaving missions because someone with non-current-max MR joined, people quite directly flaming on other people blaming them for their failure because of - oh again MR differences. Vauban bounce pads, tonkor-calypse that ended up with DE removing one of the main selling points from tonkor to "prevent griefing", early limbo days grief-fest, the list goes on and on and on.

Incidentally, that grief-fest with Limbo hasn't gone away - I was running some low level stuff with MR fodder a month ago and a guy hit me with Rift and then had the gall to ask me why I wasn't shooting anything...

I totally understand what you mean, but look at the world around you man lol. People have had so much money it got moldy in a basement and had to be thrown out. Some people think a single McDonalds cheeseburger is a blessing from god.

Different things mean different things to different people.

Yeah, but you're talking about perceived value versus actual value. The problem is that Rivens (more than anything else in Warframe) can be devalued by nerfs to the weapon or changes in the disposition, factors completely external to the market they're being sold in (because it's extremely unlikely that the exact same Riven will appear for sale from more than one seller at the same time (if at all)).

To give you another example, a bottle of water would be worth a fortune to a man dying of thirst in a desert, because he needs it and there are no alternative options. If only one person is around to sell water, they can effectively set the price based on their conscience.

Now, if there are several thousand people selling bottles of water, it doesn't lose its value to the thirsty man, but the market can decide what  price they feel is reasonable and if one person decides to undercut the others to make the sale themselves, they can do so (that's the choice of a free market economy). If the man is just simply thirsty (and not about to die of dehydration), it still has value to him, although not as much because it's not an absolute necessity). Sellers can still set prices as high or low as they like, but only an idiot would demand a fortune (or pay one).

So what value does that bottle of water have to the thirsty man, if it could turn into battery acid at any time? Technically it's worth less than the previous two examples, because it can become unsuitable for purpose at any time regardless of what the man or the sellers perceive the value to be initially.

And that's precisely what a Riven is - an item that can become worth less (and sometimes actually worthless) the instant you buy it, and technically of no actual value at all.

I've no problem with people trading, I've no problem with people making a profit, but what I do take issue with is somebody demanding an extortionate price for something and then trying to justify it by claiming that it's just a product of an artificially inflated market (which they themselves seem to have a definite hand in creating).

No, but saying 'they're not' is.

The only person who honestly believes a randomly generated digital item, unusable outside of one game that can quite literally be devalued at the drop of a hat is worth £266/$350 of real money is a fool by anyone's measure.

I saw a relatively popular thread that was calling out the "riven mafia" and the overpriced riven market, and I wanted to give my opinion on the topic.  Before I get into everything I have to say, I want to make it clear that this is just my opinion and if you have a different one, I respect that.

Some Riven Mods are worth more than 5000p, but there are obviously people that will price average to god rolls far beyond their true value.  I am not talking about those rivens/people.  They are crazy lmao.

    1. Basic Economic Principle: All items fall on a supply and demand curve.  Ammo case for example is very high supply and very low demand.  Ammo Case is worth less than 1p.  A 102.1 Status Chance, Multishot, Damage -Harmless Detron Riven is so incredibly rare that they have been sold for over 80k.  The demand is there and the supply is probably single to low double digit.

    2. The rolls that are worth 5k+ are incredibly rare rolls.  There are people who ran the numbers and the chance of getting a "god" roll are crazy low.  And the chance of getting "the" roll with high grades is probably around or well over 1 in a million.  I could be wrong.  I haven't looked at any math on it in a long time.  But the point is that they're incredibly rare.

    3.  There are people with hundreds of thousands of platinum (They are almost exclusively riven dealers).  Most of the rivens you see that are worth 10k+ aren't sold to the normal public.  They're sold to or between a small group of people.  It's the same thing as selling an island mansion or something.  They're not going to be sold to the normal public.  They're sold by millionaires, to millionaires.

tl;dr perfect rolls are rare and in high demand, therefore expensive.

"Why do you care how I spend my platinum?"
                                                               -dad

Edit: Something that I wanted to add.  I see riven prices as existing on a graph kinda like x^1.5.  The rarest rivens like an S grade, CC Multi Dmg -mag cap Vectis selling in the 100k+ range while an average CC Multi Damage -zoom Vectis sitting in the 4k range is a good example of this concept.

    Quick answer - they're not!

But then again, you know what they say about a fool and his money...

  18. For me, because even on its worst days it still gets to point at Destiny 2 and laugh.

I've only got around 150 daily logins on the clock, so it's early days for me, but there's still so much to do that I don't think it's going to get boring for a while yet. I've barely touched Cetus or Fortuna. and haven't even looked at Kuva Liches or Railjack yet, I'm building up my Prime collection (frames and weapons) and I'm just starting derelict grinding to try and get a few more corrupted mods (because as a primarily solo player who groups when they can, anything above level 35 starts to get really challenging without really optimizing your build).

Which brings me to the subject of grind. I spent a couple of evenings last week and at the weekend grinding Fissures and netted myself two Prime frames and a Prime Weapon along with a lot of assorted prime parts, duplicates of which I've converted to ducats (as I wanted to have some to hand when Baro turns up, just in case), so possibly ending up with a couple of nice mods or weapons for the week in general. I've also passively leveled my syndicates and I'm well on the way to my next Mastery Rank.

By contrast, the same amount of time spent grinding in Destiny 2 increases my level by 1-3 points (only to have it taken away again in three months when the season resets), I probably wouldn't have gotten any exotic gear (I've had two drop in 3 months, both with useless rolls), and all of the other stuff drops with random rolls, 80-90% of which you just end up breaking down into materials that you effectively can't use for anything.

People might moan at the current grind in Warframe, but at least that grind means something for the most part. There really isn't anything in Warframe that is effectively un-fixable because its core systems just work.

It's a fun game, it's a rewarding game and I think people who've played it to death are naturally inclined to forget that.

Honesty, the number one reason why I started playing this game is bcs its community Was, so nice to each other, at least in game, people joined random public missions just to teach new player about the game, You will not believe if I told you I didn't know this game has Quests until someone told me about it, Playing this game cured my Ptsd from my previous game that I used to play, before warframe I played league of Legends, and we all know what type of players play that game, what I was to say is ... when a game is so competitive, its player base develop a toxic behavior towards each others, it starts with insults, then screams on your teammates, then blame them when you lose the game.

this type of behavior is what Warframe don't need, and sadly what we are seeing right now is an increase of toxic players, hosts leaving for no f***ing reason, people raging at each other during empyrean missions, now imagine if it get competitive, or we get to choose roles before we go into mission, this will increase the toxicity in this game, thats why DE should Give up on pushing squad play mentality, by making it more like a Choice, not something thats required to clear nodes, DE should give up on alienating solo play in respect of its playerbase, bcs no body wants to feel pushed to play with people and get bullied if they don't so something the Meta expect you to do.

Please Tenno, be Nice to each other, Leave differences aside, and provide DE with your constructive criticism. please DE don't turn this game into League of Legends.

Destiny 2 has lost 200k players on Steam since the start of October and they had to go somewhere...

Don't let it concern you, they'll get fed up (or banned) and move on - they always do...

  20. Oh, granted, it would be nice, but I think part of the problem is not so much that they're quiet, it's that they're quieter than they have been.

i personally think they've painted themselves into a corner with Empyrean by rushing the content out to please the hardcore who've been berating them for not delivering everything on the roadmap instantly, and I think they're probably just very wary about saying too much and then being forced to walk it back.

There's also the fact that they're pretty close to parity now between the different versions, and they don't want to make promises that are tripped up by console certification, for example.

But of course, their biggest problem is that they've kind of spoiled the Warframe community in the past by engaging them far more than any other developer normally does, therefore if they don't consistently deliver that level, it just leaves room for anyone with the slightest grievance to get extremely vocal.

Hence why I made the Bungie/Destiny suggestion, because if you REALLY want to see what radio silence and pig-headed refusal to listen to a community looks like, it's almost a masterclass over there...

  21. You really need to go over to the Bungie forums.

    Seriously.

Because if you think it's bad here, the sh*t-show over there will put things in a whole new light.

Personally, I'd much rather they didn't say anything but concentrated on fixing stuff, rather than saying '...we're listening'...' and then doing nothing.

    But hey, that's just me!

I was trying zypher, maybe that's not the best frame? I also used Rhino without much difference. So you're  saying I want a nod to increase glide gravity?  I will have to see what I have.

I appreciate all the advice. It may seem simple to you all, but my fingers don't seem to do all I'm trying.

Last night I did the MR 11 (VERY similar, as it's a 'shoot-and-jump' exercise), and I took three attempts (one failed test, making the initial mistakes , one completed one, one qualifier). The best advice I can think of is practice (yeah duh, right!) and when you do, remember - you're not doing the same 'jump' all the time. Sometimes you'll bullet-jump, sometimes you'll double-jump, sometimes you'll aim glide... Also don't rush at it - like they say is sniper school 'slow is smooth, smooth is fast'. Trying too hard will make you tense up, make mistakes which makes you tense up and make MORE mistakes.

Mods aren't necessarily the answer either (I've used no special mods at all), and neither is the frame you use - I've done these with Rhino, Saryn, Limbo, Excal...

And by 'practice', I don't necessarily mean just running the practice test over and over - run a mission or two from the system map ('Gas City' ones are good for this) and just try different methods of traversal.

Taking it out of the 'test' environment will often help you develop the right muscle memory and stop you from over-thinking your jumps. After a while you'll develop a rhythm and you'll find it much easier.

    Hello fellow Tenno.

I have had this clan for 15+ years and it originally was created back when I used to play a game called Gunz the Duel. But this clan I started from the ground up and have brought with me to every game I play. The problem is Ii used to have a website (still hold rights on the domain.) But the website host is gone forever. I have been trying to find "free" websites that let me build my clan website and just add the domain. I gave wix a try but I am having problems finding a forum template. I was able to back catalog everything before the site went offline but now I am left at square one. I know a lot of clans today use discord and I opened my channel on it as well but it is not the same as having a full access website with forum similar to how warframe has this one. As this is a clan website it is used for more than warframe, though warframe is the biggest clan game atm. I remember my alliance also used a free hosting website but I rather not pay more than I have to considering I pay for my domain. The website is used for mostly clan activities but I choose to leave it as a forum for friends, anime, etc. Is there anything out there that other clans recommend work best for you and is not too much. I don't mind paying a bit but If I can avoid it that would be nice. I just want the ability to have my forum and link my domain. I did like wix website builder editor but didn't like the hidden fees. (was suppose dot be only $5 a month to link domain, but they don't allow you to unless you buy a premium package $13 a month, not to mention I couldn't find a forum layout.). I think my old alliance used to use Wordpress but I am not sure.

Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated. I just started growing my warframe clan again thanks to rail jack and want my clan members to have every convenience I can give them.

If you're just looking for a totally free option, give these a look:

    https://hosting.review/web-hosting/best-free-forum-hosting/

other than that there are plenty of hosting providers that do 'budget' Wordpress hosting, and you might even be able to transfer your domain into one, as they sometimes do good deals when they host your domain as well.
