Just taken a small break to let my heart rate come down and chill out a bit because of the awesomeness of Doom Eternal to check out and see how the release of the new operation is going. . What are your impressions? Worth the squeeze or nah?

Don't bother for now. I'm not even talking about the crashes, they'll fix that eventually. But the prices for the rewards are ridiculous. You're better off hunting eidolons if you wantto farm the arcanes. I mean, the mission is kinda cool, it's worth doing it a few times to experience it, but as usual they put the reward prices in the stratosphere. It'd be like several hours worth of grind to get the blueprints for one of the new weapons lol. Let alone try to farm all the arcanes up to r5 (you know, the ones you already had maxed and DE decided to say nope, time to farm them again)

I hope in the future they adjust this, because this sucks ass for solo players with such a big difference in reward.  This is how you literally promote burnout, by the time some finish a few arcanes to R5 they'd be burnout completely. And it makes me worry about energize/grace (which I assume will be at least 5k-10k per at the minimum).

This gives me PTSD flashbacks of Dog Days.

Yea, I was hoping I could solo this event, but it seems like the more uplinks that are dropped, the faster the uplinking becomes (from 1 to 4 players). So solo, on top of all the challenges you already face having to DPS, kill everything, CC the enemies and make sure they don't kill your one uplink, you also take more time to upload the info to the space squads.

  3. Sooooo....my first ground team run was a public match in which we killed approx 11 condrixes before the team extracted (apparently there's a max cap on how many you can kill, which is set at 17). At 11 we got roughly 1.1k points. Then I did a quick solo run and only killed 3 condrixes, which is the minimum you can kill before extraction opens up. That gave me 90 points if I'm not mistaken. ONE r0 common bronze arcane cost 1k points. An uncommon arcane (like velocity) cost 1.5k. So yea, those prices were for r0, not a full r5 arcane. And DE just increased the prices by a lot, on the dev build it was 250 for a common one now it's 1k lmao!!

    • Chaos is the main calling card of her kit. What she was used for during Trials way back in the day. Now it is an antithesis to the fast killing method that the game has gone towards.

The same can be said of CC frames in general. Nidus and Vauban at least still have the niche of grabbing enemies from afar and bunching them up for easier killing. But whenever I see a slow Nova (outside perhaps of disruption) I know for a fact the mission just became longer and more tedius because of her. CC frames are almost a liability now.

Even that, RJ is still in a huge mess, still countless bugs, missions are boring and the layout is far too difficult for low MRs to play (yet they are ALLOWED to), there is no beginners guide, you have to resort to youtube/wiki. Weapons are RNG stats, Mission Level scales way too high and all in all, RJ is excaly what it never wanted to be. An Island of Content, along with the Weapon Farm System

Pretty much this. I have absolutely no idea why DE decided that squad link was such a good idea that it deserved  to have dev time and resources dumped into it instead of say, finally release Nightwave 3 or w/e. Unless they intend to use squad link for future raid content because they realized 8 man squads was too much trouble (Rip old raids).

But for this operation, squad link looked absolutely irrelevant. Either it will be a hindrance because there will be far more ppl who want to do ground missions than RJ, or they will have to make it irrelevant and allow ppl to play whichever mission they want whenever they want. All so you can get a msg saying some random guy sent the uplink for you to progress.

The operation looked cool on the stream, but squad link specifically sounded completely redundant and simply a logistical nightmare given how broken and unpopular  RJ currently is. A massive waste of dev time.

  6. I like Nyx, she's one of my favorite frames. However I have to admit the 'Warframe Revised' update kinda made a good portion of her kit and what it made it powerful and unique kinda redundant. She had infinitely scaling damage with her 4 up to level cap, but that doesn't matter anymore because enemy ehp is a joke now, any old weapon will do just fine. Ok, that's fair. It was kind of a cheesy gimmick anyways. But then being able to easily strip ALL armor from enemies was also one of her strongest abilities. Again, almost useless now. Armor hardly matters anymore at any level. I didn't use her mind control ability much, but that was also her thing. But now radiation stacked procs does that and stole it from her. I mean, she's still pretty good. Just Revised kinda encroached on her kit a lot.

  7. Story, world and atmosphere is the best thing in the game for me, and the reason I didn't give up on it yet, despite taking several months breaks as well (although the latest Erra quest was pretty meh). Then in close second comes combat, parkour and customization options. It'd be the perfect PvE game for me if it wasn't for the mind numbing lack of difficulty or challenge, and how the direction of the game is closely tied to making it each time a more casual and trivial experience. That's why my main game hasn't been WF for ages anymore, it's another pvp MMO that keeps me engaged a lot more. But I accepted WF for what it is and have fun with it in a more casual manner.

I just did a 90min t5 fissure yesterday and my abilities and my weapons did the same damage against level 250 enemies as to level 60 enemies.

The increased res booster felt nice as I was getting 100 kuva more each time but it didn't felt more rewarding as the enemies were too weak. Not sure if this came with the shield gating update or if it was always like this.

Now before you tell me "just stay 4 hours and see if you are still talking smack at level 1000 enemies" but really? Do we have to go this far for a challenge?

I feel like it should be harder.

Personally, I agree with you. But it's gone and most other people prefer it this way, so might as well get used to it. Endurance is pretty much dead now, or it's only a shell of what it used to be before. I watched a stream of some guys in an 8h survival killing level 9,999 enemies  without having to rely on any uber buffs or synergies, just cutting through them like butter. Enemy ehp now really doesn't matter anymore, which means stuff that used to be valuable before like infinitely scaling damage doesn't matter anymore. All you need to do is have a decently modded weapon and you'll kill any enemy level. Just build tanky now to resist enemy damage, no more need for anything else. It's actually kinda ridiculous the amount of overkill dps WF has now since the Revised update came out.

  9. I know some people like to say you level or progress your operator/focus in eidolons just to be able to do eidolons more efficiently, but that's not the whole truth at all. It's either hyperbole or people who don't know any better. Operators have insane utility potential. Some arcanes allow you to heal so efficiently that it becomes practically impossible to die as any frame. Others provide CC that is as good as that offered by the better CC frames. Focus schools that turn you, your friends or defense objectives  invulnerable to damage for a few seconds, invisible, energy regeneration (the most obvious one everyone talks about), better and more efficient XP farming with melee weapons, better overall performance with melee weapons as a whole in the combo counter department (frees you from using combo counter mods), etc etc.

That demo was tossed together the day before the showing, it wasnt even planned to be shown at tennocon 2018, they didnt even know it was ready to show until the second they actually showed it. They even told it to the audience from the stage. That was a very early idea of the whole thing they wanted RJ to be.

They shouldn't have shown them anything if they didn't know what it was going to be or what they had the capability to make it be. Anthem was completely roasted by the media and all news outlet for doing a LOT less than that and showing stuff in an E3 demo that turned out to not be in the game. That's false advertisement, doesn't matter if the game if b2p or f2p. 2019 Tennocon wasn't any different. DE really need to tone down their promises and hype machine on Tennocon. I know it's what gives them the most money and new subscribers (they said as much in an interview a year or two ago), but I mean... what this year's Tennocon will be like? We still didn't get stuff that was shown in 2018's Tennocon, then 2019 showed it again, we barely got the first rough draft of it... this year they'll show stuff that will be in the game by 2023 or something? They need to slow down.

This event will be spamming 1 mission out of 2 over and over again until we burn out/get the currencies needed.
The changes will be the new objective with sentient enemies on Earth, and new objective with sentient enemies in railjack.

Will be buggy as hell, prices will be insane, but will be reduced halfway due to community outrage. Just ordinary stuff.

The releasing process is already started, because they already made the first step of releasing underwhelming content: Delayed it.

LOL. It will 100% be this. I'll probably have fun with it though. I'm one of those that actually really enjoyed Plague Star the first couple times.

  11. I'm one of those who abused the heck out of this arcane, but let's be honest, it was ridiculously overpowered, to the point of being entirely comical and I have no clue how it took so long for DE to fix this, considering the #1 squad on Operation Hostile Mergers a year ago used lockdown extensively as a part of their strategy to one shot the entire map full of lvl 9,999 enemies.

It needed to be nerfed. It'll still be insanely good as a CC utility arcane.

Pretty sure you can now inflict status' on frozen enemies. This was a thing before the Revised update.

Really?? This is exciting, I'll need to test this. I took a one year break from the game, just came back a few weeks ago.

As for globe, I meant infinitely scaling more in the sense if you recast it every 3s or so it'll basically be invulnerable to all damage. I know most people think of this as an old cheese squad strategy in which the Frost player gets the short end of the stick and just stands there pressing 3 nonstop while his team mates kill stuff and have fun, but I've used it successfully in solo mode in situations where the enemy had enough damage to one shot me or the defense pod.

And yea, as much as I like the idea of chilling globe, I just can't fit it into my builds.

  13. I think the problem with Frost in terms of his offensive capabilities is twofold:

    1) Cold isn't a good element

    2) When you freeze enemies as Frost you basically lose dps from dots such as slash and toxin that won't proc while frozen.

I mean, you basically had to give Frost slash procs in your suggestions to make him more dps'ey. But offensive capability aside, Frost is still my number 1 go to defensive frame. His kit is not as "modern" or complex as say, limbo's or gara's, but he's still the most reliable IMO. WF Revised nerfed the sh*t out of enemies ehp and tankiness. Any stiff breeze will kill them now. Which makes infinitely scaling damage powers (like gara's) kinda redundant now. Any properly built strong weapon will kill enemies up to level 9,999 now. However enemy damage remained the same, which means all that matters is being able to tank it. And Frost does it better than anyone. His ice globe scales infinitely and it's far more reliable than gara's 90% DR or limbo having to recast cataclysm. Ice wave impedance is a great augment to slow all the enemies around you and make them easy targets without having to freeze them. Frost is the king of defense IMO. However he's just stationary. Which is why I LOVE your idea of giving him an augment that turns ice globe into an ice eximus mobile globe 😁

I'm in the exact same boat. Returning player (took a year break) and Arbies and Liches are my "endgame". I enjoy the Lich loop very much. I hope they keep updating the reward pools, and I'm looking forward to Corpus Liches.

All I ever asked for was 1) to scale up enemy levels in my runs and 2) for a reason to revisit the star chart, and now I can do that. If I'm not farming for the kuva weapons and ephemera, I can still farm murmurs/fissures for rivens and ayatan stars.

Honestly it looks like DE put a lot of thought into this, and I'm glad they are finally addressing the endgame loop. Good time to be back.

Still, I am always concerned about them abandoning the game mode as they always do. I hope they keep expanding on the Lich system and updating the rewards.

Yea, I hope they keep updating it as well. Arbitration is a game mode they have been updating multiple times since release and it's pretty good now. Hopefully liches keep receiving the same treatment. ESO by contrast was released and forgotten, so now it's just a glorified XP farm for leveling weapons and focus. It has the potential to be fun if they fixed the horrible efficiency drain and gave it good scaling rewards.

  15. As a returning player I'm having a LOT of fun with liches. The weapons are fun and interesting and there's enough variety and some measure of longevity in the system with the valence fusion to keep improving and tweaking your favorite ones. I know people complain murmur farming is too long, but that's exactly the most fun part for me. I've always wanted a difficulty slider to play Starchart missions at a higher level, so now I can do that by allowing my Lich to lvl up to 5 and play the missions in the 80-110 lvl range which is more fun for me while farming murmur at the same time. The process of guessing the parazon order is kinda neat and the kuva requiem relic fissures are another welcome addition in terms of high level missions to do as well. Also I really like how the kuva lich system ties neatly into the broader riven/kuva system, both in terms of gameplay (riven slivers and kuva drops) as well as the overarching lore.

Arbitrations and Liches are the two main things I enjoy doing since I came back (played two missions of Railjack and couldn't be bothered to touch it again).

90% fallof from bazilion and a half still deletes rooms and even highest level sortie has nothing to say against Bramma. With obvious build, Viral+Heat+HM it does not care for Arbitration levels too - but matter of fact is that for 99.999999999999999% of played content Bramma one shots rooms in one click, no aim, no brain. No one plays 5 hours of arbitration to feel if bramma is bad there, also, simulacrum allows for stress tests and with lvl 170 exo officer that's equivalent to lvl 350-420 heavy gunner - Kuva bramma still clears room full of them faster than any other weapon. Just by shooting in vicinity, not by tryharding for precise headshots so.....

I highlighted the part I'm replying to. If you said faster than any other primary weapon, I'd agree with you. However just in my arsenal I have at least 3-4 melee weapons I can think of that clear rooms faster than the bramma. If you think melee isn't more broken OP than the bramma atm, then you're mistaken. Melee is the most broken weapon class atm. And it got even more broken with WF revised. And in terms of secondary the kuva nukor also clears rooms as fast as the bramma, provided you have an external way to bump your CC (usually arcane avenger is enough, but there's other options).

EDIT: But I do agree with you about your sentiments towards power creep. I just resigned myself to what WF is atm. The game just keeps getting easier and more casual with each update. WF revised made an already easy game even more trivial. It's w/e at this point.

  17. Wow, you guys really want the game to play itself for you. Enemy ehp was nerfed hard, enemies are paper thin now and die to a stiff breeze. Frames have more armor, have 25% dmg reduction on shield, have shield gating and only die if you make a mistake twice within 4s. Armor is meaningless and we have new ways to buff our dmg with viral. And yet you're still complaining because you need to hit the arbitration drone twice.

I 100% agree that on release the kuva bramma was extremely power creeped and overpowered. But with the 90% falloff nerf it received it's just a strong weapon. It's by no means as overpowered as you're saying in its current state. It looks impressive on Starchart because even with the 90% dmg falloff enemies still die when low to mid level. But it falls off at the highest levels and in endless like arbitrations (as an AoE, obviously the main impact area is still super strong, but that's practically single target now). Honestly melee weapons far outperform the bramma (or any primary/secondary for that matter). Just pick a nikana, tonfa or a scythe and spam melee to clear entire rooms of enemies of any level super fast.

As for bows in general, the issue with them is that they compete with snipers in that single target high burst niche. Some of the better snipers are hitscan, have combo counter and some are faster than bows on top of that. So it's kind of hard justifying using a bow in a situation where you could use a sniper. Except the AoE bows like lenz and bramma as you mentioned.

Hey any news about this BUG?, I'm on a similar situation as u can see on the screen below, I also opened a ticket on support reported all the forums posts regarding this issue.

We are at week 21 right now, considering each week gives u 36500 points excluding daily challenges, we should  get 766500 total points doing all recovereds, so we should be able to reach rank 76 with 6500 spare points, and it should be like that for all the users, whenever they started doing nightwaves.

It was weird, but the issue more or less solved itself for me. Turns out at each new week reset, more and more recovered challenges would show up for me. Apparently you can't do catch up from zero to max rank in a single week rotation, at least I couldn't. But then the next week, after I finished that week's rotations, I started getting more recovered challenges, to the point I reached rank 30 and stopped doing them. Maybe there's a weekly cap on recovered challenges? Don't know.

Don't forget the ones that get to babysit the railJack... real fun stuff, if the prices are too high it's going to be a disaster.

LOL yea, they briefly showed the player on turret duty and it looked so boring for the poor guy, compared to Megan inside the sentient ship fighting sentients. I'm gonna guess there'll be a lot more ground squads compared to railjack, not sure how they're gonna balance that.

  21. I know the prices of the rewards are subject to change from the dev build, but I also know DE's track record on making super grindy content, specially at launch. Rebbeca played the ground mission for approximately 8 minutes and got roughly 70-75 event points in the end. The two new weapons cost 2k and 3k respectively. The new simulacrum arena cost 5k. Stance forma cost 5k as well. The bronze common arcane cost 250 each (no clue if the more rare arcanes cost more, but I assume so). So just for a bronze arcane, to get 11 more of it (which is what you need to go from r3 to r5) that's 2.750. That's like 296 minutes worth of ground missions for 11 bronze arcanes based on what we saw on the stream. Sounds like the grind will be real lol. Hopefully they cut those prices by a LOT before the event goes live. Or give us a lot more points per mission.

  22. A parazon finisher would have been good pre-mainline update, since enemies used to be more tanky and ehp scaled exponentially. So in an endless, using impact to parazon finish high level enemies would have been a viable and interesting option. But right now enemies are like paper thin and super squishy, even level cap enemies die to any unbuffed weapon. So this is kind of useless. But hey, at least it's better than what we had before in that awful knockdown. It's useless but at least it's not a hindrance lol.
