Why would this be more fun? It sounds less enjoyable to me.

It's going to come down to personal preference but I really like shooting with Mesa's Waltz after doing a super jump or while otherwise in the air. Just playing the turret isn't that interesting.

  2. These are just a few random ideas, I understand these aren't the biggest issues in the game but a few fun fixes that hit me.

Titania, make energy orbs into floating rings when you're in Razorwing. Bam she doesn't get a vacuum because you guys really hate vacuum, but I don't have to scurry along the floor to get energy orbs.

Mesa, her 4 is really braindead. Mesa's Waltz is cool but you can jump around during it which feels so much better. Why not make Peacemakers something that only works when she's using maneuvers kind of like Hardboiled. Alternatively blur her vision  as she uses her 4?

Those are only a few random things, I'm sure people are interesting in picking them apart or whatever but if you'd just post some other fun changes to frames that'd be fine. I realize the Mesa idea isn't great but I think the Titania idea would make her a lot more fun.

  3. I was hoping the arms would do something during higher mutation stacks. I'm not sure if it has special stuff at some point (that'd be neat) but Nidus' default skin seems to dynamic at 10+ and while this skin really does look great it just gets some armor is all. I mean I got it and I'm happy with it, and it's not like these comments make a lot of difference now. At least the eye's move, that's really cool. I like the sydanna and kubrow stuff a lot too.

There is literally nothing more infuriating than the incessant cries of "dont put PvP in my game!" from people who fail to realize that any PvP introduction would be entirely optional and wouldn't affect their PvE experience in any way, shape or form.

Novel Concept: if people dont WANT PvP, they shouldn't play it. Doesn't mean it should never even be an OPTION for those who do want to enjoy it. Dark Sector PvP, back in the old days, had a HUGE following of people who enjoyed it. The reason it was stopped WASN'T because of people not liking it or enjoying it, it was because of certain clans monopolizing dark sectors and forcing all other clans out, which is why they put the armistace in place.

I wasn't around for Dark Sectors but I'm going to guess 'HUGE following' is pretty subjective here considered they just axed the mode rather than rebalancing it. If that many people played and enjoyed it they wouldn't just drop the mode. Just like raids weren't dropped despite the 'HUGE following'. I think people who really like PVP wanted it in every game and always make it seem like more people are interested than there really are.

In the end I don't think every game needs PVP. I think esports represents a huge media segment and PVP is a good way to put more eyes on a game, and that's all that drives the decision. Not every game is suited to PVP and Warframe definitely isn't suited to it. Conclave doesn't play very well and has tons of issues that no one seems concerned with fixing (the gigantic frame and weapon pool that makes it confusing as hell for one).

There is literally already an entirely separate team that works on conclave, separate from your precious PvE content that already takes years to be  released. New PvP content would be handled by them, not by your PvE development team.

Have that team do something else, lol. There are so many games out there doing class/ability based FPS deathmatch so much better, I don't see the point in foisting a crappy version of it into an otherwise fine game.

However, it is definitely not as difficult or timeconsuming as making the new UI, making Venus, K-Drives and whatever other system you can think of.

Is some other thing people just get weird about? Like how Carrier had to be the only thing with vacuum and then how we couldn't possibly get vacuum with Kubrow/Kavat. I really don't get all these arguments about the financial viability of it. It's obviously really financially viable as most games do it. It's not as if everyone else is in the business of losing money.

  6. Christ dude, hey fine whatever we can have no voice packs because they aren't financially viable. You're very smart and very right.

EDIT: HEREBY I NOTIFY YOU I AM EDITING MY POST: Honestly though you're just being contrarian. Obviously announcer packs earn money or they wouldn't make them. It's the same way skins earn money. It's a revenue stream. Obviously DE could it get done, obviously they would cost less than they charge since that's how it works for league, dota, smite, etc. Like it's insane how every little suggestion ends up being shot down by people who think through enough backseat moderation they can control a game's development.

  7. 1 minute ago, peterc3 said:

Sure, if it actually costs 10 USD or equivalent.

What is with this contrarian crap? Like logically speaking you think what the voice work for The Sacrifice cost what ten thousand dollars, one hundred thousand dollars?

Then every time they add new lines, they'd have to get all the VAs back to do the new lines. This is a significant roadblock to something like this.

lol yeah really tough to charge us 10 bucks for a hand full of voice lines. I dunno how DE will manage. Like do you guys think 80% of DOTA's dev budget goes to voice packs? This is in plenty of other games, and represents a lot of cash. You already have Tenshin, Maroo, Darvo, Alad V with partial handler lines. All they need to see is that there's some real interest in it.

edit: I'm so sorry I edited in something here. It's apparently really bad and a very normal person said I shouldn't

I highly doubt DE is going to remove the POE rivens just because one person doesn’t like doing the riven challenge. I personally don’t see an issue with them, sure they are definitely more tough than other rivens, but it’s still possible to complete nonetheless.

Yeah that's me, the single person in the universe who doesn't like the POE rivens. You really crystalised the issue in an amazing way. Since I'm literally the only person who doesn't like these you're right DE has it laid out for them. They could never change something the community love so much. 🙄

You just need to visit wikia more often...I am mr 25 and I too am still doing that,no shame in it.Finding guides about something in this huge game can save you a lot of time.

    http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Condroc :

Multiple Condrocs consistently spawn in the air around Er-Phryah's Vigil, in the southwest corner of the map. This is especially useful for Riven Mod challenges requiring these creatures to be shot out of the sky.

So if you know where to always find them it makes this challenge pretty ez, doesn't it...

Same goes for Dragyn challenge for example.Easiest place to find them is Kuva fortress not in PoE...

Yeah I eventually found them but that's not the issue here. It's just the hassle of POE in general. I had one for the Tusk Baslista's it wasn't hard it was just annoying. I hop on the archwing hope my headshots count as headshots and hope vomvalysts don't kill them because I didn't want to wait for day to unveil the riven. Same with doing an incursion without taking damage, it's a "challenge" I guess but not really once you get the droid escort (which seems bugged since enemies don't even show up).

I mean what's next, conclave rivens? I haven't done a plains bounty in a long time because because I'm sick of it Now I get three POE rivens in a row? At least they shouldn't come up as often as they do.

  10. 1 hour ago, KamikazeKamanzi said:

They're meant to be challenges. Honestly none of the plains rivens are a problem at all. They can all be done relatively quickly although you may find it tedious or boring.

The only thing some of these are challenging is my patience. Even Incursions can't be done at night and eidolon stuff can't be done during the day.

  11. So I notice when I focus farm with Ivara not only can my sleep reset enemy's alert status but it also lets me continue my stealth chain with a back stab even if they were slept while alert or hostile, however on Equinox the sleep doesn't allow me to continue that stealth chain if the mobs are slept. Is this supposed to be this way or a bug?

  12. I think your suggestions are pretty great. Cycling missions, more rewards those are both really great. However I think the core problem is just how well/unwell the game scales as they just pump up levels. Maybe I'm not at the point where the game feels "good" at 80/100, but it just feels like you reset to where you were at 40 when you get a high enough damage riven, and maybe sometimes you get oneshot.

I think making them repeatable isn't a great idea since it'd just become some soulless farm for people. Maybe some tiered reward tables where you have a different table for 1st 2nd and 3rd+ run of the day?

Ambulas is where you farm Excalibur too. So a low/Mid level player have to go through the Struggle to get a Starter Frame. So it would be a good idea for a new player to start with Excalibur so they can take the easy route for Volt and Mag.

It's the first idiot trap of the game and why everyone is emphatically told to pick Excalibur at the start of the game regardless of what they find interesting.

  14. I did it with all starter equipment and the imperator vandal. I had some mods but nothing amazing. One thing that helped me out a lot was learning that the 1 ability for your starter archwing raises your crit chance/damage?. Beyond that you just make sure you fly behind him quickly and kill adds when they show up.

There are a few frames that can solo it with ease with the proper builds, I'll leave that for you to figure out.

I like how the initial response to "this is terrible" is "well you can just solo it with a really specific build". I mean whatever if you have a setup where the time investment of soloing makes it worth it to pull from the sortie lotto, that's great.

And it is quite nice to have a boss that requires a bit more coordination and strategizing than "pump DPS into weakspot until dead"; it's something I think the game should have more of, not less.

I really question the idea that people are having trouble with this because of coordination, you pump DPS into the Ambulas, hack it, then pump DPS into anything coming near the Ambulas. The major difference is that you lose if you don't make the DPS check, unlike the rest of the content in the game. Personally I don't want to see more DPS checks in the game.

At the core of it you have a fight that people don't like and that even less know (because they were told to pick Excalibur) then you ratchet the level way up and obviously it's terrible, It's a lot of bother for a lottery ticket and I wish I hadn't even bothered to try it tonight. In the end DE has the numbers and I'm sure they see more people ignoring sorties when it's Ambulas or Lephantis assassination because that's simply not content people want to do.
