  1. Oh and in my opinion, having the foundry/modstation etc available in the Dormizone or Dojo is a requirement to give things like the ideas above even a chance to be successful.

    It's all about convenience.

People already disliked the very small transition you get when using the drifter camp and eventually chose the Orbiter. That's just a very small inconvenience. Having to constantly travel between the dojo and the Orbiter to perform some basic Warframe tasks will just add up quickly to become a major inconvenience in normal gameplay.

First, they would need to offer a real option to stick to one place and remove all inconveniences, and then people might be willing to invest into it or just enjoy it.

  2. Sorry to say but I have seen every single one of those ideas/requests over the past years, yet all we get is new decorations and rooms with no almost no purpose.

This alone doesn't mean alot of course, but seeing how DE is struggling to implement the most simple features to the Dormizone, I am not optimistic that we see any substantial improvements to the dojo.

Note that the Dormizone/Zariman and the content connected to it has the highest development priority right now, and still they are unable or simply too lazy (according to own statements on a devstream "why would I do that if there is no good reason") to implement a foundry, modstation etc to the Dormizone.

Just look at gardening and what it became and how they say that they failed to implement plan A, then failed with plan B, and then proceeded with Plan C which is just nothing besides a console to press a button to collect resources (just like a skin for extractor drones).

Not saying these ideas would be bad, but I see no point I asking for it anymore.

  3. Glad to see so many people enjoying the amber shards, after the first "I want more power strength shock" I learned to enjoy and value the amber shards the most for Parcour velocity.

I have no problem removing strength-shards from frames again and barely notice any difference (sure it looks great to push your strength even further, but in missions it rarely does a difference). But removing a amber shard again? That feels bad.

Same with the decrees in duviri: extra damage, melee hitting twice and all that is great, but there is "useless utility stuff" like "reload on rolling" which I started to enjoy so much more, with certain loadouts this can be even better than double melee hits and stuff like that.

on Steel path, I have to use Unairu to strip enemy armor and get an easier chance at killing enemies before cathode grace runs out and goes into a 60 second cooldown, on a frame that needs Varazin to survive

Just a random side note,  but I don't think this is a bad thing. I mean it's steel path - we should have to combine different elements of the game to be able to sustainably kill enemies (and it really doesn't matter if it's unairu+gyre or any other combination).

Otherwise, where is the difference to a low level mission regarding gameplay if everything is able to do everything on its own?

Edit: and if a player really can't do everything on their own in the highest level missions available (like you say you need vazarin to survive with gyre but also unairu to armor strip)... I know this got lost in Warframe over the last year's but..Teamplay? Again, it's the highest level missions available, maybe it's ok that this "forces" Teamplay at some point to keep going? And you could also bring specters to help with survivability and so on.

I can't recall where they said they are gonna make the "goddamn gardening system with the planters outside the Dormizone" but if they're gonna do that, they may as well go all the way and allow us to use it as a base of operations. otherwise, this fancy little plantlife simulator is gonna be DOA, I really can't remember who asked for this.

Pablo said it in a Chinese Q&A:

    Question 4:

Do you consider adding Farming Areas in the Drifter Camp or on the Plains of Eidolon where players can cultivate specific plants and raise animals? Thought this mode might be popular, not only expanding the player base, and but also improving Warframe's retention rate.

    Pablo:

This is a bit of a spoiler, hopefully no one will see this. But if you go and visit your dormizone, in the Angels of the Zariman that just came out, just look around, you might see a little tease of what's to come, a little tease of what's to come.

  9. Like my preposters said, might be a nice concept, but without content where this might be needed its a bad idea to add it.

Besides that, even if we would get content which might make this somewhat necessary/desired to have, this system would turn that content into the situation we have right now again. Meaning, no challenge, because we are too strong for the enemies thrown at us, and with even more PowerRange/Efficiency etc that content might become even less challenging...

Anyway, a long time ago i had an idea regarding Kuva-Forma's which i never posted:

    • kuva forma can be applied to Weapons
    • reduces the cost of Riven Mods of each polarity in that slot
    • basically, an aura forma for rivens

This is the only thing i can see getting added which is desirable but doesnt add more powercreep at the same time,

all it does is using Rivens become more convenient since we can always exchange them without having to look out for polarities.

    Edit:

    Zitat

I forgot to say, we are gonna overpower, but
when Natah gonna use the spark to summon the destroyed sentient and declare the a bigger invasion,. that time our power wont be enough.

i guess when teshin said "An Elixir of Immortality"

do not forget sentients got some kuva in Plains of eidolons before gara sacrificed, so they are regrowing up.

i think the perfect time it should be released with advanced new war invasions and quests.

When talking about stuff like this, it really doesnt matter what Teshin or some other character said at some point.

We have to look at the gameplay and not some random lines of lore to justify some new gameplaymechanics.

And if you think those randoms lines are a hint that we get really challenging content soon - sry but you are wrong 😉

  10. While i am happy that we can finally start missions on a higher level in the future, i agree that it wont become anything which could be called "Endgame Content".

Higher level is part of the formula for challenging content - afterall it makes a difference if enemies die in one hit as soon as they come closer than 50m to you or if they survive for some time (if they shall be a threat, they need to be alive 😄)

Still, i would like to see something more, and both modifiers and player-restrictions can add something to the challenge.

Its important though that they dont go over the top with restrictions like in the Grendel-Missions, disabling all of our abilities is just stupid and not fun.

There should always be options for us and all of our grinding shouldnt be devalued by disabling everything.

I posted an idea on what i would like to see coming with hard mode which combines these 3 elements:

    • high enemy level (which continuously scales with the player progessing)
    • modifiers which change the environment
    • minor restrictions regarding our powers
    • additional boss units
    • liches can be part of that system aswell

    Spoiler

    The Evolving Starchart:

    General:

    • on certain missions on every planet, the player has the option to play the mission in Evolution-Mode
    • whenever you finish a mission succesfully, your progress gets saved (progress=enemy level)
    • the next time you play it in Evolution Mode again, you will start where you have stopped the last time
    • if you fail a mission, your Evolution Level goes down again
    • this will hopefully give the players both a reason and the option to push themselves as far as they want while having a steady progression in game

    The Missions:

At first i was thinking about adding this on each Mission on the Starchart, but my conclusion was that this is too much and too complicated.

Besides that, in many gamemodes the enemy lvl doesnt really makes a difference, so i think focussing on these 3 would be the best:

    • Survival
    • Defense
    • Exterminate
    • on every planet, each of those Missions is available in Evolution-Mode (or at least one mission of each type)

    The Matchmaking:

    • you can play Solo or Multiplayer
    • if you play in a party, the Game will take the Evolution-lvl of the player who has the lowest at that moment
    • (this way, you cannot simply start a group with someone who has a high Evolution-lvl to instantly go from 10-500 for example)

Note: If a fissure-Mission takes place on a Mission on the Starchart that provides the Evolution-Mode, you can play it aswell.

    The Rewards:

In general, nothing essential (like new Warframes/Weapons etc) should be tied to this system.

I am thinking of Milestones comparable to the Login Reward System:

    • to reach Milestones, we have to increase our overall average Evolution-lvl (calculated from all available Missions)
    • huge Milestones happen every 100 levels
    • these will provide Cosmetics like Glyphs, Emblems or Trophys for your Orbiter/Dojo
    • small Milestones happen every 50 levels
    • they can offer one time rewards like a Rivens, or ressources like Kuva/endo/credits
    • the small Milestones could be also available for each Planet (Evolution-lvl calculated only from the missions on a planet)

Note: You can get these Rewards only once (you can not decrease your lvl on purpose and then earn a Milestone Reward a second time).

    Additional Gameplay thoughts:

In order to make this more interesting and not just about the enemy level, there could be modifiers applied to this gamemode.

Some of them could happen at all times while others only appear before hitting the next Milestone.

    General Condition Modifiers:

    • random Sortie Modifiers (fog, eximus stronghold, etc)
    • reduced Bleedout-Timer or removal of Arcane Revives
    • removal of one Gameplay-element like the Gear-Wheel or the Operator)

    Gameplay Modifiers:

    • special Enemies spawning in the missions when you are on your way to the next Milestone depending on the Gamemode
    • Liches in Exterminates
    • Demolysts in Defenses
    • Bosses in Survivals which are connected the Planet your are doing the Evolution Mission on (Lech Kril on Mars for example)

    • weird stuff like a "all enemies are Noxes" Exterminate before hitting a Milestone
    • No lights modifier (like in Chains of Harrow) in a Defense before hitting a Milestone
    • No Minimap or even no Hud besides the most essential parts (Crosshair, Energy and HP-Bar) in a Survival before hitting a Milestone

Implementation of Liches into the system:

    • Each of the Nodes which offers this Gamemode is owned by a certain group of Liches
    • we are farming murmurs naturally along the way
    • the Liches will appear when we are about to hit a Milestone
    • then, if we kill/convert them our progress also gets saved, meaning we cant drop below that level anymore since we cleared the Lich
    • on our way to the next Milestone, the next Lich appears
    • Edit: we could be also able to grind murmurs in normal Lich missions once a Lich is activated

  11. I just wanted an Custom Obstacle Course Room since i first started building which is bigger and in which i can use

    1. all decorations
    2. spawn all enemies (like in Simularum)
    3. while being able to set mission tasks and conditions
    4. and having Clanmembers being able to donate to a reward pool (just like we can donate ressources to the Clan-Vault)

    Nothing too fancy 😏

Edit: Or let us build an actual Dojo in Orb Vallis/Plains of Eidolon which you can see from the outside and walk around and looks like an actual base,

the dark basement-corridor-atmosphere can get really depressing 😄 (i know, way too much effort to realize, still this would make me happy^^)

Everyone in this forum knows that Veterans dont spend a single penny in this game and that Warframe should focus exclusively on New Players to make money!

Hence why there shouldnt be any Content directed at Vets/experienced Players because i could steer away the paying customers from the game.

This doesnt mean anything. The distribution of players is interesting, not the amount of Clans.

There can be 1000 Solo-Clans and 1 full Moon-Clan - in this case still 50% of the players are in a huge clan.

Besides that, where is the source for that?

Regarding OP: I had the same idea some time ago, and i would really welcome that to revitalize Clan-Life.

And i really wonder why we cannot use the Decorations for the Dojo in the Custom-Obstacle Course.

Just give us a really big empty room and let us both place Decorations and Enemies and set some conditions - lots of potential for interesting clan-challenges.

  14. vor 1 Stunde schrieb nslay:

Those Evolution-lvls sound a little like Paragon levels in D3... implementing these could lead this game down a slippery slope to a very bad and toxic state (and even more grindy since Warframe forum players tend to not like that).

EDIT: On that note, this sounds a little like how Greater Rifts work (only without penalizing you for failing a rift). A Greater Rift system has the potential to create an elitist/toxic culture and meta-only attitude invalidating almost all frames and gear. This will be worse than some in the Eidolon community!

But this basically means that we cannot have anything in Warframe which will challenge us and puts us to the test because some people might get toxic or elitest about it.

While you see the negative potential, what i see is the positive impact this might have.

    1. a real challenge which includes both high enemy levels (this has to be part of the formula) combined with lots of interesting modifiers
    2. a place for everyone who is looking for a challenge where the challenge naturally grows with his successes and where you can go on and on
    3. something for clans and players who like to work together to overcome challenges

Regarding the Meta, everything in Warframe has a Meta,

Eidolons, ESO, Railjack and there is even a Meta for stuff which doesnt demand one because of its difficulty or something, people create and use it for efficiency reasons.

If you want to farm XP on Hydron, there is a Meta, and people will get pissed and maybe leave if there Squad consists out of Limbo+Titania+Slow-Nova for example.

It will massively stretch the mission time and yes, i have seen plenty of people rage on hydron because stuff like that or simply leave the squad.

Toxic people can be everywhere, but those people shouldnt be a reason not to implement something or remove it from the game.

Just like a Meta exists everywhere but its up to everyone personally to decide if they want to follow that Meta.

Is everyone supposed to get to level 9999 in my suggested system?

    No.

Everyone should get as far as he has fun doing it, and since there are no essential rewards no one is forced to go further than he likes to.

And the Glyph i mentioned should just be one that acts like this one Glyph for Operations in which the number grows the more Events you do.

Nemesis is an actual word. Your suggestion under 'General' doesn't remotely relate to what nemesis means. Maybe you need a TLDR to explain it better, I don't know. The Lich system fits with what a nemesis actually is.

    https://dictionary.cambridge.org/de/worterbuch/englisch/nemesis

"Someones Nemesis is a person or thing that is very difficult for them to defeat"

    https://www.collinsdictionary.com/de/worterbuch/englisch/nemesis

"The nemesis of a person or thing is a situation, event or person which causes them to be seriously harmed, especially as a punishment"

The suggested Missions are just that, a thing/situation which will be difficult to beat (its gets more difficult the further you progress) while it should come as a serious threat due to raising enemy level and custom modifiers which can harm us and potentially make us fail missions (i know, crazy thing in Warframe).

Each player will have his personal "Nemesis Missions", for some that might already be an Exterminate Mission with lvl 150 which he cannot beat at that time while for others it might be a surival with level 500 with disabled Hud-elements. With that come personal goals for each player to beat this Nemesis at some point.

  19. Hey there,

with yesterdays announcement of a Hard Mode for the Starchart i want to revive an idea i had a long time ago which could be a nice addition to this in my opinion. All we know so far is that DE is planning on adding another Starchart which lets you start the mission in Hard Mode (starting Level +50) and Ultra Hard Mode (starting Level +100). I will go into Detail about what the Evolving Starchart is in detail, but in general it means that the starting Level of certain Missions is variable depending on the player.

    The Evolving Starchart:

    General:

Obviously because neither the Devs nor the players are happy with the current situation.

Lets take the Parcour system as an example for something that stays constant:

Both the players and the Devs are happy with the movement system and how it currently is,

so there is no reason and there are no plans to make any changes to that anymore.

  21. I feel like making a quick summary since many people replied to this 😉

    Reasons in Total:

    1. 31 People mentioned fun
    2. 22 People mentioned Grind
    3. 5 People mentioned Preparation

Overall, fun is the dominant reason for people playing Railjack according to the replies.

Where it gets more interesting if you look at how the reasons are interconnected:

    1. Fun was mentioned as the only reason 21/31 times
    2. in 10/31 cases it was Fun was connected with Grind, with Grind being the dominant factor
    3. Grind was mentioned as the only reason 10/22 times
    4. in 12/22 cases grind was Grind was connected with fun, in 3/22 cases Grind was connected with Preparation
    5. Preparation was only mentioned once as the only reason and was always connected with either fun, grind or both besides that

Thats it so far, keep in mind i am only doing this summary for fun aswell 😉

There might be small mistakes, and i could only work with with i got, so if someone only said "i grind for x" and didnt mention fun, this was a counted as "only plays to grind".

That person might have also played it for fun, but since he didnt say it i cannot assume that fun played some sort of a role.

Edit: Many people also agreed that we need more Gamemodes, and i am happy that Scott mentioned that they are planning to add more Gamemodes in yesterday's Devstream, although i am not too hyped yet because who knows how long that will take...still a good sign though.

Yes, everything put out by DE will be run by builds that are for 150+ enemies yet the new content won't be 150+ enemies leading to complaints about how easy everything is now...

What? You are aware that people are already doing that without the existance of the hardmode?

Most people are always running with their best builds, with Rivens (which are needed nowhere in the game), with Arcanes and with the best builds for weapons and Warframes.

I know nobody who has different builds for the different planets (with different enemy level) for example,

i have never heard someone say "oh we are just playing on Earth? let me just remove my Arcanes real quick, i wont need them there."

To quote Scott: "this is nothing to replace the LootCaves and the Chill-Warframe-Experience where you chat with friends and stuff".

People either use their best builds in hardmode looking for a challenge trying out the viability of their builds, and then they will take those builds back to easy mode for a chilled experience where you simply farm and grind stuff the easy and relaxed way. TLDR: People are already min-maxing the *** out of their builds without the existance of hard mode, the only difference will be that hardmode will probably provide a place where you actually need it.

    Mehh,nothing special

    Nothing special?

Well, at least the Hard Mode for the Star Chart is something people have been requesting for a long time now.

Might be nothing special to you, but for everyone who likes to start missions at a higher level this definetly is something special.

Besides that, more Gamemodes for Railjack is something special at least for me,

this was is the most important thing for me to make Railjack more interesting.

With that being said, i didnt watch the Devstream and since we only have some short notes here it could mean anything from "we are thinking about it" / "we have started working on it" / "we are planning on shipping it in the next months"... and the 3rd Orb Mother once was "almost ready" a long time ago aswell, so... 🤐 while i am happy to see these points, i know it doesnt mean anything and it could still take a year to get shipped or might even get cancelled completly again (i am not gonna start a list with things that have been shown in Devstreams or have been called "almost ready" and then never have been mentioned again besides maybe a quick note like "yeah, still working on it, not a priority right now anymore")

DE should also nerf power pilot has in his hands, ther is currently too much power centralized in hand of pilot, many times I was on very well geared railjacks where everyone but pilot had nothing to do(other then maybe other objectives) because pilot was wiping all enemies alone before gunners could even shot them(and since they were wiped so fast, enemy didnt had chance to damage or board the ship), rest of team with exception of guy doing other objetives were standing by the pilot bored, pilot wiped all enemies before guy finished doing other objective.

I've got mixed feelings about this.

On the one hand, i experienced exactly what you described, and simply standing inside of a Railjack wondering "ok, what do i do now?" is boring as hell.

On the other hand, the most boring thing i had to do in Scarlet Spear was bringing the Satelite to the next Murex as a Pilot.

Especially when the Sentients lowered my Speed/disabled Boosting and you are just sitting there thinking "guys, anybody there? can somebody kill the Sentients please?"

The one thing i am sure about is that i dont want the Pilot to have even more power like some people are talking about in another Thread currently (they want the Pilot to be able to use the Forward Artillery while in the Pilot seat) and that would make the rest of the Squad even more obsolete.

This can be easily solved with mission diversity, and I do hope DE looks at it.

I agree that this might be the solution to this problem, and imo the solution for all of these problems should always be mission and gameplay design.

For example, lets imagine we get an Interception mission for Railjack.

The distribution of points to capture could look like this:

    1. one capture point is inside your Railjack! Enemies are constantly spawning in and at least one player has to defend it
    2. another capture point is inside of some Asteroid base, another player has to leave the Railjack to capture that one (that point might also switch position between different Asteroids, meaning after a while that player needs to get back to the Railjack, and use the Slingshot or another way to get to the next one)
    3. a third capture point is some sort of mobile device flying through space, so the Pilot has to chase it and it might be designed in a way that a Gunner will still be very useful (for example, dealing damage to that device does something for you, so either the Pilot or the Gunner focus on that while the other one kills the fighters of the enemy which are also chasing that device)
    4. Edit: since we are only 4 Players, i think it should be just 2 or 3 capture points and not 4 like in the Standard Inteception since we still have to take care of our Railjack. Anyway, it just came to my mind that enemy Crewships could also be some sort of a Bonus Capture point which you can capture (go in like you do now, but then you have to defend it both from the inside and the outside until the Crewship gets destroyed one way or another)

Just a rough concept, and surely the details should be tested and finetuned, but you get the idea.

Give everyone something meaningful to do the whole time and make it basically impossible that only one person can make all others obsolete.
