All those frames at least have one thing they are best at limbo literally can make a zone where he is god, ivara steals and can go through spy mission lazers, and banshee clears waves in defense missions like its no ones business. Now tell me what do people regularly use mirage for.

Max range aoe for her 4, Clears 80m of the open world maps and deals about 400-1000 Rad dmg depending on light and resistances (does need LoS though)

  2. Would ember be a better buffer than the oberon in this case? She gives upto 300% with fireball frenzy and 150% iwth flash accelerant. If people are running radiation, it should get boosted by a lot

And she can remove the health gate from vombalysts with WoF.

  3. Honestly, this seems to be the same thing that happens on games that feature a similar trading system like path of exile. People would have a bunch of money to buy up cheap stock and then sell at an under cut value, only to buy that item they set for even cheaper. Kinda like price fixing. It's honestly interesting that it made it on to here.

  4. Here are a few points and thier solutions/responses to how I think it would be best handled.

    1) Not getting a good feel of the weapon

    S) A more expanded Simulacrum that allows users to have a full arsenal and the ability to potato, polarise and mod as one pleases in tue simulacrum. Despire the dull environment, this should be a great way to pre-calc a weapon and it is in game (instead of using things such as warframe builder)

    2) Weapons take a long time to reach max Capacity.

    S) I feel that this is more easuly alleviated based on your loadout/arsenal. If one is leveling a high damage single shot weapon, mercury exterminates with Equinox or Ivara with hush make this very easy - as well as being acessible by MR 5 off the bat. For other weapons, mercury survival with Banshee/Mirage/Damage buffer should get it a few levels per run. Personal experience tell me that 3-4 stealth runs (5-10mins each) and 3-4 20min Apollodrus; although this cam vary from many different factors.

    3) It costs a lot of forma

    S) Using warframe app to build them takes 2mins tops. Other than that I feel that a weapon is serviceable after one forma and a potato. 20p is a lot for some but is achievable in a day. A forma can be build every day and most weapons take about 18hrs to build average. Ideally, one weapon a day is sustainable and possible (considering a 2-4hr playtime a day)

    4) Not friendly to new players

    S) ...to be honest I feel that new players have plenty of things with polarities in them to help them out. A new player wont touch an aklex prime until much later where they might be able to do what was said in 3). New players can also start leveling guns by MR 5 and melee even earlier (as stated in 2))

While I am not aversed to having more polarities, I do feel that there are already solutions to this in game (bar 1)) and this could potentially hamper future polarity/modding systems.

  5. Here's the thing, while I understand that you are trying to attempt to give more control back to non-ability users (for lack of a better label) they have every "right" (as much as there is in an online shooter) to do as they please just as much as you have the "right" to also not conform to their meta.

However, the fact of the matter is that the meta is mostly defined by the players and not by DE. DE may try and shape the meta by nerfing "abusive mechanics" such as [Mirage + Simulor] or [Radial Javelin Excal]. But it is clear that the "gofastclearspeed" meta is here to stay. Even if we could shoot nullifier bubbles at team mates, at best is that they do conform, more often than not is that they will just leave, or they will become more salty and threads like these would appear but in favour of nullifying weapons etc.

Also, the purpose of MAD succeeded because both sides would know that if they fire, there is no future - no significant after struggle. It would literally be the end of the world. Applications of MAD to a game like Warframe just wouldn't work as well since both sides can still speak and interact. Even if neither side is having "fun" the game hasn't ended. What it does is tip the scales in favour of the "non-ability user" as the "ability user" does not have a way of combating it. This would be more of an arms race than a MAD situation since MAD ends in both sides losing.

    4. I consider my independence and free agency of far greater import then any community's idea of cohesiveness...

    • Possess sufficient power to curb and shape player behaviour?

I find this somewhat ironic as your desire to shape player behaviour is exactly what the meta is trying to impose on you. This also defeats the point of playing Public random groups as it is assumed that there is to be some sort of base level cohesion, which is the meta. Beyond that requires communication and agreement between people; something that you claim to be on the losing side of. If the solution requires "reconditioning" of player attitudes, then what standard should be chosen? Who would be exempt from this process.

Simply put, if you don't like co-op cohesion, express that freedom in solo. If you do like co-op cohesion, then you are also free to choose a pre-made team or clan who share the same opinion. Either way, DE cares a lot about the community despite your distaste for it, and it doesn't seem like they would do something this drastic.

  6. The excavation pods probably don't land at full power in case that they hit the ground and explode instantly, it would make sense to assume that it is safer to deploy it at 20%, especially since we know we would be getting power cells. Imagine dropping a drill full of fuel planetside. Then imagine a squad dropping 2 each session. Then imagine literal swarms of tenno deoplying hundreds or thousands of these fully charged excavator nukes. The entire planet would become a new archwing tileset.

Knowing that the area we are excavating has resources that we can excavate, I assume that the Corpus/Grinner/Infested are also trying to excavate those same resources in that area. Tho, since we are literally in their base (and not in a mining site), they probably do not want use mining there. What would be cool is if excavations had a special tiles set for each faction where there are already placed excavators, or signs of which a Corpus/Grinner/Infested excavation had occured

It's also funny how the excavation pods literally explode after they are finished. I assume (again) that they have some sort of teleporter thingies that stop working/explode if they are on for too long.

I think @--Q--Voltage Is right though.  This sortie along with all other ones with similar set Ups was easy as hell to do. Mesa, Excalibur, Titania, Nidus, inaros, chroma, banshee, and a couple of others. If you don't have those frames, then maybe you really aren't ready for sorties. Having these frames means you're end game and ready for anything. If you can't breeze through all sorties, or even just easily go through sorties, then maybe you're not ready.

There are a lot of strategies and frames that can take out ambulas and it is possible to do it solo. Knowing your frames and foes is the only thing you need to complete any mission in this game and ambulas doesn't escape that rule, just enforces it harder than the rest. Instead of going into forums complaining about it you rather have more luck and evolve better thinking on a valid way to take it out. And you don't even need to go super far, like I said many frames can do it solo

Since this was the first time fighting the new Ambulas, I hadn't formulated a plan for the first time and did not shoot the armor off. After learning that the fight was a cake walk.
I do have all those frames (except mesa) and have cheesed most sorties using either Limbo melee or Nidus spam.

This sortie just caught me off guard, and I got salty ^^'

    Limbo+really strong melee weapon
    Valk+strong mellee weapon
    Loki+hushed invis+shotgun

So it seems that my gear has fallen off meta (or maybe even nerfed, I havent read patch notes in a while) My destreza was barely able to bleed stack the ambulas as Rift torrent Limbo. My Synapse with a crit riven installed did worse than a burston prime.

Really? There has to be a way to do it?
Maybe... but as I said before: Warframe is meant to be played in a squad.
So even if it's not today. Sooner or later you wont be able to do things on your own.
And why don't you get better internet? That's always a nice thing to have.

    Uni.

Then todays Sortie draws the line. You can't go further as a solo player.
    Nothing's worng with that.

Perhaps you are correct, tho there must be some way to do it, even if my fingers bleed for it, I was very close before so I do not believe that the line is drawn.

  11. 7 minutes ago, WhiteMarker said:

    And why is that so?
Why not just play public? Makes things way easier. And the game is meant to played in squads...

My internet will not support p2p connections, besides i haven't had any issues soloing up until today

Still at work so haven't had a chance to try the sortie yet.  Just wondering, would a Fatal Teleport Ash with Covert Lethality daggers work with the new Ambulas?

I dont think that will work from what i read on the wiki page.

Maybe you aren't ready for sorties then. They are meant to be high tier content (and the players at this tier breeze through all content anyways).

After not having a problem soloing other sorties bar this one, I think it is reasonable to ask for other peoples strategies do you not? I wouldn't consider Ambulas a breeze unless I'm missing some mechanic from him. However I could be sorely mistaken.

It is not bad when using proper resources aka Magnetize, Mesa, some weapons...

I haven't got on yet but I suspect the answer will be "Mesa and spam energy pizzas".

Sadly I do not have Mesa Unlocked and solo is the only option. Been spamming pizza's since the sortie was up and now my pizza's are all gone.

  14. I quite literally the hardest thing warframe has had so far.
    Ambulas itself is super tanky.
    The adds are a *@##$.
    F*** the aerial bombardment.

But in seriousness, has anyone been able to solo the sortie for today. Been stuck doing it since it came up this afternoon and everything I do crumples by phase 3

Frost did the best but was unable to keep the enemies off the last ambulas

Loki was ok but the damage was just not consistent enough using a synapse to land headshots cuz ambulas moves too much

Volt did very well but as soon as adds appear he melts like butter.

I have yet to be this salty of frustrated for a long time since dark souls.

  15. Hmm.

While I can understand where all this talk about rivers is coming from, I feel that it is rather fun to have it be RNG based.

When ever I roll my riven mods, I get exited when something new pops up even if it isn't objectively better. I just got a Amprex mod with increased reload, max ammo and punch through. whilst not meta defining it makes a weapon I rarely used fun.

I feel that allowing us to chose what mods to keep and what to ditch will mean that more people will be inclined to get those God rolls. With this RNG, I personally don't not feel any need to roll for damage etc unless it happens to come with it.

However, by including a constantly increasing reroll cost, it does make it harder to get more experimental/fun mod types - since the more you invest in it, the worse it feels to not get something useful.

Another dark spot for riven mods work the fact that they can only drop once per day at a chance. Typically for games that use RNG to produce good items/weapons they have the loot drop often enough to be a surprise, whilst not flooding people with rivens that remain unused.

Whilst I still feel sorties are not a bad start, there should definitely be a place where there is a good chance of getting them or even a guaranteed chance of getting one (with limitations)

I feel like rivens where an interesting twist on moding and how they are trying to change weapon meta. I understand that I probably seem like a lunatic (which I could be ? ) but it's clear that they aren't done with rivens yet and hopefully they will chose carefully how they will adapt to better suit the needs of the player base overall.

  16. What would be nice is a void endless that forces void fissures to open every 5mins/rounds. Then you would be able to choose a reward on every round if you had the right key. The key wouldn't be consumed until the end of the mission. This way you can get multiple rewards from the same key, but the void tears become increasingly harder; especially if they are in the void.

  17. Here is my thought on the development of these items.

Concerning Vauban Prime, his high Alterium Cost and (in general) his high material cost is probably there to offset the fact that Vauban himself is a pain in the &#! to get. If the costs for Vauban Prime where LOWER than the "cost" of getting Vauban, then they have severely shot them selves in the metaphorical Tenno foot by making their own market item USELESS.

There are two ways to act on this "issue":
                  1) One way is to make Vauban Prime harder to get than Vauban Prime. This can be done the way it is now (with high resource costs) or perhaps by making him more difficult to acquire (arguably what has happened with his drop tables)
                  2) The other solution is to make Vauban easier to get to allow Vauban Prime to have his costs lessened as a result. This could be from reducing his market price or by making his alerts appear more frequently.

Both ways have their own flaws. Making Vauban Prime harder to acquire means that veterans feel this effect much less than non-veterans have. However, reducing the value of the Warframe can leave people with buyers remorse, or some semblance related to that.

With the Sibear, the above stated does not really apply to this situation. It can be considered that the Sibear is an incredibly niche item. the Weapon itself is a hammer of dense Cryotic, It would make sense that the cost of it should reflect that "property". I can see how the cost now is a bit high, but it reflects the lore given by the weapon.

The cost of the resource in relation to the lore of the weapon is certainly subjective, but in my opinion, that cost is not too high that it becomes EXCLUSIVE to others. It is a heavy investment for non-veterans but for veterans, it's cost is still enough that they know that it is a hammer made of Cryotic.

I feel like this gap is present but it only seems expanded from the previous choices that DE made. Perhaps this is a sign that items in the future will have significantly higher costs, but it should be in relation to their originals(concerning Primes) or their Lore (concerning weapons like Sibear).

  18. Not sure if this has been said in this long thread buuut...

We have to consider that this is VAUBAN Prime. A frame exclusive to alerts. If people where to be able to unlock Vauban Prime before Vauban himself, something has gone wrong.
Having Vauban Prime being MORE accessible than Vauban is a BAD thing, it makes Vauban irrelevant.
The issue of a gap might be present, but to say that Vauban Prime is clear evidence to this is not completely true. Perhaps there is some semblance to this but if we compare it to Vauban, then there isn't THAT much of a gap, considering that Vauban parts itself is entirely based on RNG whilst Nitain can be farmed for.

  19. I am having an issue that only occurs with Warframe regardless of screen resolution, windowed/borderless settings or dual monitoring. Whenever the mouse is moved to the edge of the borders in warframe (or the edge of the screen when in full screen) the mouse suddenly moves out of the screen and onto the other (or just out of the screen entirely in windowed mode). Is there a fix for this?

The only thing that i had recently changed before this issue occurred was upgrading from Win8.1 to Win10.
