  1. I think the choice for the warframes to be controlled by kids is fine. These aren't "spy kids" or some stupid S#&$ like that. These are kids who went through terrible things, tragic things. Just because they are a kid doesn't automatically mean its some kind of fart-joke laden disney happy go lucky nothing bad actually happens PG13 movie. Their families died in a horrendous accident, they seemingly were trained in the art of war so not only are they kids, they're child soldiers. They were locked away in the void for who knows how long. They might be kids, but they are no average kid, and they have been through enough trauma that would harden any adult, and I think its discrediting a lot of the thought that is put into an actually very dark story to compare them to something like spy kids.

  2. I know you mentiont a lot of people might not like this kind of turn in the development. I'm one of these.

But I also know that what happened happened, and that it is sadly going to stay the way it is now.

I'd still like to voice my opinion, and how I would have prefered it to be.

The entire way through the new quest was amazing, till I finally reached the end. An end I don't support the slightest.

I already mentioned in another thread that, yes, the whole 'children and void thing' is a part -- but from the past. I don't get why you had to ruin this amazing, gloomy atmosphere by now forcing a child into our experience. A lot of people created their own headcanons for the Tenno and Warframes over the time, most of which were really interesting and creative. Whether talking about living robots or alien beings, this uncertainty was what made it fun walking in the world of Warframe.

You put so many time and effort in each and every frame, to make them look unique, to give them special powers only they could use. So much potential you ruined by using something as dull as a human child being the mind behind all this.

If you really wanted to keep the lore with actual human children up, why like this? Why place Warframes into cryopods if they're only a robotic puppet in the end anyway? If you already take the chance of having a real alien species or standalone robot being, or even grown up adults ( inside the suits, maybe even partly merged with them ) from us, couldn't you at least have it that maybe due to the Tenno power being too strong for their own original body they were forced to transfer whatever was left of them into the chosen frame? Give life to it in the process, not just having it dance on strings while you yourself sit on some fat chair in safety? ( which btw makes being outside of the Liset not as thrilling as it was before since you know the real deal is still on board anyway. )

I really, really don't get why you make us play as a child playing a synthetic doll.

In my opinion this additional link between Player and Warframe was unnecessary and ruined all the freedom and creativity this game offered to us.

    Some things better stay hidden.

I think it was pretty well implied that the Warframe are more than just a robotic puppet, though. They're more than just robotic, they bleed and need life support and can smell and have flesh, and some of the things that happened in the cinematics suggested that the Warframes have some amount of sentience of their own. Like the way the frame looks at its own hands, after meeting the tenno face to face for the first time. And it didn't seem to be under the control of the tenno when it broke the sword out of its body. I think there is more to it, still.

To me, if anything, it makes the world even gloomier than the warframes are controlled by children. These kids were in a horrible accident, and that resulted in powers that they didn't know how to control and that made them targets of the Orokin. Some of the dialogue at the end talks about how they couldn't control their outbursts, hurting the one woman who chose to stay and care for and love them. And then, for their own protection, they had to be locked away in a pod deep in the void, living a life no normal child would ever live. Thats pretty damn tragic and gloomy, if you ask me.

Personally, I was super happy with this explanation, and I can't wait to find out more.

  3. I chose vazarin because I like adapting to circumstances.

I was not expecting mending tides. when I hear the word "counter" I don't usually refer to healing.

    so, what's up with that?

I thought that was strange, too. But, the Vazarin polarity on mods, the "D" marking, is usually on mods that have to do with health, defense, shields etc on frames, so I guess that could have been a hint as to what that focus might be. But, the names of those things are a little hard to remember which is which, for sure.

  4. Would it be possible to drop unique weapons ( such as Karak ) from possible sortie rewards if you already own that weapon? I don't really need another Karak wraith, and with limited chances per season, I don't really want a wasted reward spot on it. Otherwise, the missions have been a lot of fun so far!

Great job with this update DE. Killin it.

  5. I got the same feeling. I think Lotus is connected to her the same wya tenno are connected to warframes.

And I agree that the Warframes have some amount of sentience of their own. When the frame comes face to face with the tenno for the first time, it looks at its own hand almost questioningly.

  6. You know how every game dev tells you "The wait is worth it!" or "We're so excited for this awesome new thing we made!" and often times, it arrives and maybe its .. less exciting than you felt they made it sound, or in the worst case its actually terrible?

Yeah, none of that here. DE said it was going to be amazing, and they delivered. I wasn't even prepared for their excitement and promise of an awesome new story quest to deliver as intensely as it did.

  7. That name is such a deep deep cut into old Norse that not even my Norwegian husband recognized it right away! Well, I mean Ivar of course. But Ivara? Had to look up if it was even really a name. xD

  8. I will fully admit that when exposed to too much Archwing at one time, I get into such a foul mood. I get frustrated, annoyed, and my glee for Warframe is snuffed out like a candle. I can spend hours doing just about anything in this game, but drop me in Archwing missions for .. 30 mins? And I just want to sign off. Hence, I only play that game mode when I absolutely have to, in order to obtain some other goal that requires Archwing.

But, I don't take that mood out on other people by any means. :I And ofc I want to save the relay, even though spending time in the relay makes me feel a similar amount of frustration.

  9. Maybe it is not the exact answer your are looking for, but maybe consider picking up some kind of gaming mouse with extra buttons on the side. I use a Razer Naga, and I've got my crouch button mapped onto one of those buttons and it took a LOT of stress off my hands when doing slides and stuff. My sprint is still on my pinky shift, but my pinky rests pretty comfortable in that spot personally. But moving crouch and roll and all of my abilities onto the mouse was a HUGE help. Definitely worth the investment if you play this game a lot.

  10. I don't think there is any specific order. I think it just goes for whatever space is available, possibly randomly. But, if you just keep killing tons of enemies, you should be able to have a really nice stockpile of them so that keeping track of where they will spawn won't be too much an issue. I don't use them unless LS drops below 40-50%, and keep up LS from enemy drops otherwise.

  11. I have most definitely encountered the whole zero enemies spawning thing in mobile defense. I have had it happen where I kill a small group upon entering, then sit through two satellites in a row before any more enemies spawn, and even then the amount is negligible. It amounts to a whole lot of boring.

  12. I agree. I can get more than 1 of most of those things at a time or more just by picking a planet where they drop at. Since it is an alert, it would be nice if it was at least 3-5 of said resource, when it comes to the rare ones. Then it might be worth doing. When those type of alerts pop up its more like "Meh whatever" than "oooh yes lets go do that"
