  1. According to Megan, any fixes to nightwave won't be applied to series 1, is this the official dev position?  That means some of us will have to wait ~20 weeks for an umbral forma (assuming they make meaningful changes).

I don't see why changes can't be made mid-stream.  Nightwave was launched simultaneously on all platforms, there's no reason why changes can't be as well.

    • D-pad doesn't scroll menus, You have to use one stick to scroll the mod list, for example, then use the d-pad (or the other analog stick, if you're a masochist) to select the mod. If the d-pad could scroll menus it'd be a million times easier.

    • Whenever you open a menu (like the pause menu for example) the cursor doesn't start at the first item on the list.

    • There's no easy way to tell what a gear item does. You have to equip the item then go back into the menu to read the item's description. D-padding over an item should highlight it allowing you to read what it does (or add a "preview" button like with skins, if you want to half-ass it).

    • Same thing with relic refinement. Refining relics is literally worse in every way possible than it used to be. Hovering/d-padding over a relic doesn't highlight it, telling you what inside of it. You have to click the relic, then you have to move the cursor over to the refinement sub menu to select exception/radiant/whatever and click that. If you want to refine multiples of the same relic it's even worse, because in the old system you would d-pad to your relic, click it, your cursor would automatically go over to the refinement sub-menu, then when you refined the relic, your cursor would automatically go back to the stack of unrefined relics.  What's bizarre is that when selecting a relic for a mission, d-padding over the relic highlights it, but for some reason it doesn't do that in the refinement menu.

Ah, right - loading screens. I thought something within missions was disabling it. My bad.

Talking to Fortuna NPCs also disables toggle sprint, for some reason.

Also, Did anyone else notice when Steve and Rebb did their "melee 2.99997"/ dev workshop stream that there was an "auto sprint" option in the menu?

If that's what it sounds like, then hopefully we'll be getting our sprint by default option soon.

  3. TL;DR ever since the Profit Taker update, Solo survivals don't give as much air.

I've been trying to get all the syndicate augments for a month or two now.  After doing the Sorties every day, I usually just go to Zabala Eris and spend ~45 minutes doing Infested Survivals to cap out my standing (I'm a solo player, so Iv'e always done this solo).

Basically I just find a good spot and autopilot Larva -> Catchmoon or Maiming Strike while watching youtube.  I never had to hit a life support tower because the enemies always dropped plenty of the little pods.  ~a week or so ago I actually ran out of oxygen while doing this.  This took me by surprise because it literally hasn't happened to me since I was a noob.  I just thought it was some strange fluke, but the next time I went back in, I kept an eye on my life support levels, and sure enough there would come a point where my life support levels went down and I had to hit a tower to keep going.

I though maybe it was this particular node so I went to the Infested survival node on Sedna and tried there but the same thing kept happenings (at this point I've done maybe ~one or two dozen survivals and they've all been this way, so I feel confident that it isn't just RNG).

Normally  I could just pay more attention to what I'm doing and hit an occasional tower if my oxygen gets low, but now that you guys want me to do 60 minute Kuva Survivals without life support towers, it's become a problem.   I even tried doing the 60 minute Kuva Survival with Nekros + Despoil and ran out of oxygen.  That's how you know something isn't right.

I can't tell if it's just a lower spawn rate, or a lower drop rate, but something is definitely off.

  4. I only have two concerns with these changes:

    1)  Without a booster, the average amount of void traces you get from a fissure mission is 18.  Those 20 trace alerts were actually not a terrible deal.  Could we have voidd traces from fissures raised from 6-30 to 10-30?

    2)  The alert system is basically "set it and forget it"  It requires very little upkeep on the dev side (I assume).  If Nightwaves have Lore and performance (v.o. and mocap) components, are we going to wind up with a Hydroid Prime trailer situation where we're stuck with stale rewards because someone is dragging their feet?

  5. Occasionaly while in my orbiter, the L1 and R1 buttons stop working in menus.  They don't work in the star map menu to pull up the different mission pages,  They don't work in the arsenal to select different loadouts.  They don't work in the Warframe/Weapon upgrade menus to change categories or configs.

L1  still allows me to roll and slide in the orbiter.

Bringing up the pause menu, and closing it again fixes it.

  6. Possibly K-Drive related.

Was messing around with the k drive and hopped off to kill some enemies, noticed that I couldn't reload my weapon.  Jumping fixed it, but only once.  After jumping I was able to reload my gun, but after firing it again I was unable to reload again.

It eventually fixed itself (after I got back on k-drive maybe?).

PS4, and Amprex, if it matters.

I figured this is by design. You're crouching behind a crate in sprint mode, then you run to the next crate and stop and return to crouching.

No, it used to work fine, they broke it when they fixed toggle sprint (back in january).

You don't return to a crouch when you stop running, anyway.

A hold should always override a toggle.
