I still think it's rather stupid to have to "sit there" and wait.. do that with high lvl corpus techs with a non meta frame, you're dead before they're even close to getting corrupted...

I think the whole "corruption" process needs to be heavily sped up.. it's just awkward in a game about killing to ignore the enemies and wait..

You don't have to wait when you get to high level though.  This is only a problem for the first rotation or two when enemies are dying by looking at them.  After that the ttk is longer meaning there's more time for them corrupt.

The problem is people wanting to basically "win" the mission with most kills/damage.  This leads to spawn camping and hence the problem.  In many def missions I do lots of players make no attempt at all to actually defend the objective, instead camping on the other side of the map at a spawn point.

I agree it would be great if these basic mechanics were explained in game somewhere, something that could be said about many aspects of warframe.   Don't know if it would make much diff though tbh as from my experience of patiently explaing the mechanics to many players they still bugger off and do their own thing, often to the detriment of the squad/mission.

  2. I've been in many relic missions where team mates obliterate enemies so fast we don't get enough reactant.   I usually put this down to ignorance, they don't realise enemies need to be corrupted in order to drop the stuff and it can take a few seconds for that to happen.  In early waves of lith def I'll often not kill anything in the hope a few more will get corrupted, while my team mates go ham with seemingly no thought to what's happening.

In excavation you shouldn't activate the second tower until everyone has at least 8 reactant, that ensures success.  Problem is someone always tears off across the map to activate it as soon as it's announced with no thought to gathering reactant.  Again, ignorance.

In survival players roam all over the map disrupting how fast enemies spawn in and meaning you have to search the map constantly for reactant.   You don't have to camp in a corner but wtf is wrong with staying together in one big room?  More reactant, loot, life support etc etc.  And that noob who activates every life support tower as soon as it appears even if it's at 98%......I'm getting seriously tired of trying to explain to players the most efficient and easiest way to play.  Then they die 300m away and complain no one revived them lol.

Agree with op, one endless type for each relic should be mandatory.  I too am fed up looking at a list of nothing but spy/sabotage/mobile def.

As for not enough reactant?  That's purely down to poor gameplay, you will always get enough if you understand the quite simple mechanics involved.

  3. Pc master race, that's all.

What's more annoying is how you can purchase actual plat on pc using a discount voucher, not available on console.  We have a very limited selection of what we can use any vouchers on.

  4. Hah, at least you get to transfer the majority of your progress.  Console players can't transfer anything at all.  Only option is to start again from scratch.    I'm not bothered about riven,  I understand how they would absolutely break the game if they did transfer.  But I would lose every frame, weapon and mod it's taken me 1500+ hours to get.  The endo, credits, resources - all gone. That's why I won't play wf on switch.

I understand about sony/microsoft not allowing accounts to be transferred to another platform.  I don't want to transfer my account though, I want to keep my xbox account as that will still be 90%or more of my time.  I just want to start a switch account and have a copy/paste done of my stuff, sans the untransferrable items of course.

  5. In my opinion it's using rng itself that is the problem.   I understand the need for rng and that wf is a grind fest of a game.   However,  there should be something in place to remove these bad runs from the game.  For example, if something has a 10% drop rate that's fine, you roughly expect it to drop 1 in 10, it's when you go 20, maybe more times trying to get that drop that this game gets extremely frustrating.  The system should remember how many times you have tried for that drop and eventually increase the odds making it more likely.  Let's be honest, running countless rad relics to get just one part of something that you need multiple parts for, each of which is subject to rng can be soul destroying.  Never mind the rng involved in getting the relic itself in the first place. That can easily be 1k+ void traces and a lot of time after all.  The person above doing 100 runs to get only 1 atmo part?  That's unacceptable.   There are people actively leaving wf because they are so frustrated with how rng works.

  6. Tbh, I think the drop rates for sorties are a bit fishy.  Not just my experience, but seemingly the experience of everyone who runs sorties (which should give a decent sample size).  Anasa and riven have the same drop chance yet everyone seems to get waaaay more anasa than riven.

I know people who have ran sorties since they started and never once had a legendary core.  I got a gold drop last night (catalyst) for the first time in year.  I've never had kuva (wtf ???).   Anasa though?  It's a standing joke how often they drop compared to everything else combined.

  7. I actually quite like playing ember in star chart stuff.  Turning on WoF and then parkouring around with an ignis wraith is a lot of fun.  She's no where near a mesa or saryn for killing everything within sight and cant buff teammates as well as many other frames.  Plus, having no damage reduction means you will be killed pretty quickly by anything over lvl 40 if you stop jumping about.

If she got a rework so she had some decent dam reduction to improve survivability and her fire damage bypassed armour or shields then she'd be pretty close to top tier imo.

  8. Losing your stuff is the penalty for dying. If there's no penalty then you would probably see players running loadouts totally unsuitable for that mission as, well, who cares?  You can go afk, run a rank zero frame and an mk1 braton die in the first 5 mins and keep everything.  Yeah, that wouldn't hurt gameplay for everyone else at all would it.

The bigger problem, which has been raised many times before, is being able to solo extract.  DE quite beligerantly ignore this qol fix regardless of how often it is asked for.  It may cause a few host migration errors if the host is the one to leave but would still be preferable to one person being locked in a mission with no way out.  That also ruins it for the 3 who want to stay, as while one person sits in extraction and the other 3 keep going the enemy spawns dry up making it harder for everyone.

I'd rather DE spent dev time on fixing this issue than on utterly irrelevant game play mechanics like floofs.  I mean, ffs, we're deadly bad ass space ninjas, who thought rewarding us with a teddy bear was a good idea?  Sorry, going off topic, but this annoys the hell out of me.

  9. I'd love another slot on my warframe.  Somewhere I could put a utility mod to make the build more personal to me rather than everyone running pretty much the same builds.

It would have to come at a cost though.  Me and my friends discussed this a couple of days ago and thought if you added 5 forma to something you would open up another slot.  This would make umbral builds far more viable for more frames meaning you could then take some of the weaker frames further.

  10. I've noticed far more enemies spawning in walls, under floors etc recently.

Also got a strange bug last night.  Cracking relics in axi def on hydron as mesa and suddenly couldn't move.  My legs moved but I stayed in same spot. Couldn't use weapons or abilities or swap into op mode and had a kind of silvery aura around me.  Only fix was to let myself die.  Was very strange.

  11. Not been playing as long as you but understand your pov.  I play mostly with 2-3 friends I met through my clan so we can talk about what frames weapons etc we're bringing and help each other out etc.  When I go into a pug though it can be frustrating compared to my normal gameplay as the other three in the squad may as well be solo for the amount of team play they bring.

Even in a pug though I try to be a team player, provide buffs, drop pizzas when needed, revive etc.  I have a range build chroma that gives better buffs than an umbrel rhino to everyone within about 20 meters that I like to bring for example.  Of course that's no good when your 3 squad mates run off to 3 different corners of the map in a desperate attempt to get the most kills.  So many players don't realise (or don't care) that staying together means more affinity, better spawn rates, more support etc.  Nothing worse than cracking relics in a survival when everyone is in a different corner of the map meaning you can't get enough reactant.  And I'm talking about mr20+ players, not just noobs.

I don't expect anything from pubs though, usually 1 or more wants to leave at wave 5/5 mins and I go in with that mindset.  Sometimes you end up in a good squad though which is always a pleasant surprise.

If my friends aren't on and I want to do a decent length mission I never use recruitment though as that can be cess pit.   I just put a message in my clan/alliance chat and get a group that way, much friendlier imo.

  12. Non issue.  When have you ever seen an mr1 player rocking high Mr gear?  And if you did, so what?  That player has just spent a ton of cash which supports de and makes not a jot of difference to your gameplay, you'll still be reviving them every 30 seconds anyway.

  13. Warframe is not a game for instant gratification. You need to wait to do things sometimes, just like in real life.  The 3 day wait for frames can be annoying at times but is not unreasonable, start building and then go do something else - farm resources, relics, prime parts, complete the star chart, quests or just have fun and run about shooting stuff.  Before you know it the 3 days have passed and you get your new frame.

Plat is easy to make, even for new players.  You can farm prime parts and sell 5 random parts for 10p all day, every day.

Also, use your codex in your ship to look up what relics have what parts and where they drop.

Biggest tip though is join a clan, many vets enjoy helping and explaining things to new players, that is endgame to many of them.  And have a bit of patience, there's a literal ton of stuff to do in the game, go do some of it instead of expecting to have your hand held at every step and you'll quickly learn how it all works.

  14. So, looking at the replies above I'm a tad confused.  One guy says he solos lvl150 in 20 mins (If so tell me your loadout/build), another says the enemies cap at 125.  Can't be both.

Yh, obvs my builds up to now have been centred around slash/corrosive but been trying other things, radiation, cold, electric, but can't find one that really seems to make a difference.   I'll happily admit my builds are not optimal right now, or even close to it probably hence the post asking for help/advice.

Anyways, thanks for the replies so far.

  15. Are you on Xbox?  If so look me up gt Hyperion Rexx and I'll take you though it later tonight.  I'll be on in about 4 hrs from now.

Honestly can't understand what the problem is tbh, but then again until I got ivara I couldn't do a spy mission to save myself, we all need help sometimes.

  16. Guys, help.

Been doing Fortuna for a week now and love it, great battles and enemies.  However, last night farming toroids, threat level at max and virtually every enemy had there own personal nully bubble.  Made using abilities almost impossible as no matter how you dodged a bubble somewhere stripped you abilities away.  You'd strip their bubble, reload and it'd be back.  Plus the enemies are real bullet sponges so if you concentrate fire down on one enemy to hack through their bubble, shields and then health you were being gang raped from behind by monster spiders, jackals and hyenas.

I'm no noob, 1300+ hrs and play with friends who have double that.  We've tried different frames and weapons, mag, mesa, chrome, rhino, nezha etc but without abilities to buff weapons we're struggling to go past lvl 125 where as we can eat normal corpus that level for breakfast.

Any tips, strategies we should be using?  Best weapon combos and element types?  Help would be great.

Thanks in advance, a struggling tenno.

  17. Really, 200 bounties and not one part?  Are you sure you're doing bounties that have her parts in the reward table?   What you describe is statistically possible but you're way out in the far reaches of probability.

I got all the rev parts in about 6-7 runs which was about normal iirc.  Some people took longer but very rarely more than 20.

    1

So you intentionally went into a bounty expecting to be carried?  And as soon as you went in you started mining?  Are you trying to annoy other players or just completely oblivious of how your actions can be perceived?

And what on earth are using for weapons/warframe if you can't kill a lvl 40 tusk at mr14?  By that stage you should be doing sortie 3, maybe not breezing it but certainly capable.  Or have just been power levelling to climb mr, expecting others to carry you and not actually learned how to play the game?
