  1. I agree that the system itself is better.  It gives even veterans incentive to play.  The path to the gated rewards is far more distant for players who can only grind every once in a while. Some of the requirements, like a forma investment, aren’t really great either.  Neither of those examples affect me personally, but I agree with players that are adversely affected by them.

  2. Move, roll, jump, shoot, and win.  Squishy frames are all about mobility and accuracy.  If you want to survive you’ve got to be more aware of the goings on around you.  Enemy Radar is probably the best mod to achieve that.  It’s gives you a huge area of sight on the map and allows you to take advantage of your environment.

  3. I don’t mind the time investment as a lump sum.  If players want to do everything and focus on that then fine. I do agree that it feels forced because of the time limit though.  If your progress is carried over into the next time nightwave comes around, and it will, then I won’t mind at all.  Players who decided to get all of it done should be allowed to progress further to newer cooler awards each time and those who didn’t/couldn’t can play catch up or take their time.  I’m at the same point as many people, I do them all but it leaves me unable to do other things I enjoy which is kind of a bummer. I don’t hate it and I’m certainly NOT bored, but not having time to do other stuff in game that I also find fun gets me down a bit.

  4. DE was quite open about shifting Rivens for weapons when they first started.  Knowing that and still getting upset is just absurd.  Sure I can accept being upset about it, but you have no leg to stand on.  I lost out as well, but after buying a few rivens it struck me that I was essentially wasting plat I could use on something else I want.

  5. Primaries are going to be hard to do. There are too many weapon types, and once you throw bows initi the mix it gets even weirder.  I’m not opposed to the idea, but if it’s done, it may need to be released in bits and pieces to avoid confusing players ( ie shotguns, then beam weapons, then bows, etc).  Which is not DE’s strong suit.  It’ll be interesting to see how it’s done though.

  6. Archwing has it’s faults, ill agree to that.  However, getting rid of it means dumping a lot of stuff that’s fairly integral, and soon to be improved, in the game.  I think we need motivate to go in archwing missions, that doesn’t include the exact same five missions.  More variety would be nice.  Right now it’s only good for two types of farming which is a little disappointing.  If it had more motivation that’d be nice.   Also, making it an important part of missions.  We are getting a major improvement in this area, this year.  I’d like more instances to occur in game outside of new content though, i.e. having your mission paused due to hull breach, you get out on archwing do a small mission, and return to your previous mission.   Just getting rid of it would be an epic mistake. Improving it in ways that are meaningful, fun, and varied are a far better solution.

  7. I’ve said before that I would love your typical MMO style raid.  The ones before were a bit of a mess, buggy, and really uninviting to new players.

Make a single instance with different bosses with mechanics that require players to not only shoot but be mindful of  their surroundings.   Reward them with random new or buffed weapons, mods, etc, and it’s be fun. I know it might seem a lazy idea, but I could totally go for it. Imagine if you had to waffle through small packs of enemies that needed pulling, CC, etc. it’d be lots of fun to me.

  8. Practice them in cephalon Simaris’s room on the right side after entering.  Once you get confident go try them out.  I had to get through most of the MR tests before he was even available. So, I know your pain.

  9. It really depends on the player. Is it a crucial benefit to a frame you enjoy playing? Is their a primed frame you’d rather wait for? Those are just two things I could think of.  I might put it on Mesa Prime for the extra edge.  It would fit her perfectly, ooor I could wait for Revenant Prime and build a slightly more meta build. Revenant might be a bad example as I’m sure we will have had several chances to get umbral Forma by then, but I’m sure you see my point.

Honestly starting to feel burned out on WF because of Nightwave, wasting so much time to do these challenges that I don't even get to do what I would like to or even to play other games. Have no problems with crunching a week or 2 when it comes to operations and events. But now having to do something like that for 10 weeks and then the same right again over and over for the next seasons constantly? That's a problem.

I mentioned on another thread, toning it down and turning each one into a syndicate rep system. That way people who want can hurry up or those that don’t can take their time. Either way your rep remains and you do it at your own pace.

  11. If be up for this if the process included much deeper modding of abilities with other augments.

For example, Loki’s radial disarm augment gets a choice between two additional augments.   One that allows Loki to recast it again for half the cost if # of enemies are killed before the radiation proc expires, or one that increases Loni’s Weapon damage for each enemy affected, but they aren’t permanently disrmed anymore.

If it’s just for the single augment, like now, then I’m happy with the sacrifice(s) we choose to make.  It makes the game deeper in that respect.

  12. I actually agree with you on the “with ___” aspect. Some people just want to play by themselves. Game activities shouldn’t excudecthose who enjoy their play time alone.  I personally like both for many reasons.  So, I support both kinds of players.  The rest of your complaints are kind of claptrap.  Getting to MR 6 isn’t that hard, and the majority if MR 6 players probably don’t really understand what it is they need to do. If you want to get the medallions, make a premade or go solo. See both types of play styles taken care of.  If you go in with a public group you’re just asking for trouble.

My only personal beef is the time commitment to all of the missions. You only need to complete like 60-65% of the tasks to get all of the rewards.  However, that’s still a lot of time to invest when there are other things I’d like to do in game or in other games.  Like most people my time is split between my family, my work, and everything else (in that order). I really feel that the entire thing should be run like a syndicate that comes and goes, much in the same way as Plague Star is done. The event can run its course and come back at a later date with everyone keeping their reputation.  Each time it comes back new rewards are included like Syandanas, weapons, Etc. That way it’s stilL there for those who don’t have time, and there’s incentive for those who had previously gotten everything to return.  It’d have to be more than a single thing though, as people who collected all of the previous iterations items could be done rather quickly.

  13. I don’t really think any of the frames are “bad” really.  Some underperform in some areas or have abilities that that are done better by another frame, but they’re not really bad.  I enjoy all of them.  If a frame is designed as a CC heavy frame then I don’t know why you’d choose it for a mission that requires you to kill with abilities.  If you a frame is designed as a damage heavy frame then I don’t know why you’d try to depend on weapons.

  14. Something that challenges us in n a few ways.

    1) skill in regards to paying attention to the environment.

    2) meta building to best benefit the raid in a way that might see frames being built in a very specific way for one raid but different for another.

    3) an obvious show of progress. If someone can successfully complete a raid then they should be able to show it. Raids should be a thing that challenges skill, coordination, and builds with rewards that reward those who accomplish them.
