    You mentioned Fortnite, yet I am surprised you are unaware just how POSSESSIVE Sony is about Fortnite. If you sign up for an Epic Games Fortnite account through a Playstation, that account is perma-locked to Playstation, even though Sony doesn't own the account or Epic Games. In a similar situation, Rocket League's developers have stated they could activate cross-platform play on Playstation in an instant, but Sony refuses to play nice with Microsoft

    I'm sure they deserve lots of blame for lots of things, but I think that if DE really wanted to make this a priority, they would, it's on them to make that step imho. The assumption that *Warframe* can't be cross platform/progress because of Microsoft/Sony/etc is just guess work. Do we actually know this to be true on the case of Warframe? Because so far, I haven't seen anything or heard anything from DE that supports this assumption. Happy to be proven wrong thou.

    Personal opinon, I think there's a larger issue at play, which is simply that maybe there is no business case for DE to justify that investment ( which is probably quite a lot ) as a priority at the moment. I can understand that, if it's the case. Cross platform/progress isn't necessarily going to result in more players/revenue.

    This is the technical hurdle which would also result in a broken promise I alluded to in my original post and my previous statement in this same post (specifically the promise that PC development would never be slowed, halted or put on ice for the sake of console development).

     

    It would also mean that consoles would get much buggier builds than they already do; a lot of the bugs that come along with updates get squashed on PC before they have a chance to get to consoles.

    .. which is implying that what is blocking the adoption of cross platform / progression is the platform owners agreeing with it.

    I don't have any evidence thou, just going by what we've seen with other games that are way more relevant than Warframe. Happy to be proven wrong if you have any information that you can share.

    Yes, I'm sure there are hurdles. But if DE *really* wanted to push this, they would do it. It's on them to make that step, IMHO.

  4. As title says, I was using a Arca Plasmor modded for radiation only ( no other elementals, no IPS ), yet I'm seeing hits with the impact symbol ( the little hammer thing ).

    Am I missing something obvious here? Where is that impact damage coming from?

    Acordingly with the Wiki;

    Some weapons do however replace physical damage with either an elemental or combo elemental damage type. These do not have physical damage and are not affected by Impact b Impact, Puncture b Puncture, or Slash b Slash mods.

    There are all kinds of interesting things you can do with Ivara on a squad context.

    The problem is that they are all sort of tactical, whereas the game has evolved towards more of a rush in nuke everything style, where that kind of more strategical game play is rare nowadays.

  6. Completely agree, and I'm also one of those that almost stopped playing her entirely because of this nerf.

    And, we should call it what it is, a nerf. I'm sorry, but a "bug" that apparently is well known for so long and no one really cared about it, has clearly reached the stage where it was always assumed as part of her behaviour. If anything, the real bug was the fact that this only worked reliable for hosts or solo players. That's what they should have fixed.

    It's also important to consider that Warframe has evolved to be a super fast paced game and that Ivara has no survivability. Her invisibility is her defense. This makes using Ivara completely against the current flow of the game. Going in slow mo does't really "fit" anymore.

    She is completely detached from the current reality, and hardly has any place on a squad.

    EDIT: It could also be a combination of Blood Rush/Gladiator and Smeeta's crit Charm.

    EDIT2: When I get the bug, most of the time I'm doing red with small chance at orange crit. It could be that Smeeta's crit Charm gets bugged duration and sets my crit to 200%, then one piece of Gladiator set with 3x combo counter gets +45% crit which would set my crit chance at 290%, meaning 90% chance at red crit and 10% chance at orange.

    That can't be the case on the situation I've described, since I don't even have a companion present.

  8. There's no way to please everyone really.

    Most of the negative feedback that I've seen doesn't really address the design/structure of the event, but rather goes into personal reasons on why "me" (the player) doesn't like/need/want to do xyz, or assumptions on why a certain type of player may not enjoy xyz. DE, of course, needs to cater for everyone, that is a pretty hard balance to get right.

    That said, one thing they could do is give players the ability to make choices. For example, instead of individual Elite events, each Elite act could be split into 3 optional acts, from which the players could chose which one to do, and only one ( say, choose between ESO, Sorties, Forma ).

    Another option could be instead of doing one Elite event, the player could choose to do 5x "normal" events, which would amount to the same rep.

    This would likely make it more flexible and attractive for some players that don't want to feel like they are being forced to do xyz.

    There isn't a lot of documentation on what the combo bonus does (i.e. what's getting multiplied by 2.5x), but I'm 99% sure it's affecting the Lanka's "scope bonus" of +50% crit chance. Combined with your base crit chance of 62%, you could definitely reach the threshold for red crits

    If that's the case, then something changed, because red crits on this loadout is news to me.

    AFAIK, combo only affects damage multiplier and not Crit Chance.

  10. I'm sure there's a simple answer for this, but I'm at a loss here. Does anyone know why on the video below my Lanka suddenly started doing red crits?

    The builds are on the second video. Operator is using Magus Huusk+Vigor and Virtuous Fury on the amp.

    Things to rule out out of the bat:

    1) I'm not using a pet

    2) I'm not using any vigilant armaments mods

    3) I'm using Madurai

    4) I'm running solo with Trinity

  11. Maybe it would make more sense to add interesting rewards to the Arbiters of Hexis shop instead of diluting the drop table.

    This way people would instead play for the Vitus Essence and then buy what they want from the shop. Even if that would cost dozens of Vital Essence, at least it's a goal that we can more or less control.

  12. I hope they take their time to do it right and meet their vision and our expectations, but I fear that Tennocon may cause pressure to have it released by then ( right before or after Tennocon ).

    I was able to Solo Archwing Interception because the game will atleast wait until you capture more than one point before it starts rolling out the enemies.... this isn't the case with Regular Interception because immediately after the first point is caltured the enemies come... leave to capture another and the first point is going to get taken.

    Your plan only works provided you can get all 4 Points to begin with but the issue you won't even get to that point.... you'd be stuck playing catch as enemies recapture towers everytime you leave to capture a new one.

    So no... its not easy. 

    Solo Interception is extremely easy. Including sorties.

    Just use some cc frame that either locks enemies in place or slows them down. There's only a small number of enemies on the map at the same time, if you control instead of killing them, no others will spawn.

    My personal favorite is slow Nova ( high strength and duration, enemies slow down to a crawl and can barely move ). But other like Limbo, Ivara, Equinox .. also do the job.

    Goal of course is to control the enemies rather than killing them. You only really need to kill them if you need to conquer a overrun point.

     

     

  14. My only fail so far was having him show up on a Nightwave Spy Nightmare timed mission while using only one weapon I was levelling up.

    Just couldn't do enough damage while at the same time find enough enemies to kill to keep the timer up.

    Didn't die, but had to extract or would fail the mission and get nothing.

    Too bad I didn't remember about Arch Gun. Could probably have taken him down with my Imperator Vandal, but oh well ...

    Other games maybe, I used to play Clan Wars in World of Tanks and had a low lvl account to play when I wanted to take time out clan duties or have a day off clan play.

     

    But in WF what is the benefit?

    If you go by the rules, there's no benefit.

    But it is fun to start an account from scratch and progress through the star chart if you have already done everything the game has to offer ( like during drought periods). I've done this too. It's like a completely different experience.

    That's why all players that start with Volt never make it past mars.

     

    Seriously thou, you are likely not approaching that fight properly. Maybe you have a wrong setup, or you are using some wrong technique.

    Maybe start by showing us your load out so people can give some tips. Are you even making use of Volt's abilities? No one can "one shot" volt through his shield for example ..
