If Zabyr approves, then he is good

I really only trust Zabyr’s opinion on Hydroid because they’e been using him for so long

Been using him since he released in 2014. Needless to say, it's another fine rework from Pablo 💯👌

Right now when an account is hijacked, multiple things need to be compromised, just to give you an idea, when you request your account data, on top of questions, you need to provide a code sent to your email adress, you call this 2 factor authentication. So aquiring an account, changing the details, isn't as simple as login in with the correct password, as the account should trigger a code verification that you need to send in order to accept the new location/pc/game install

This. I won't lie OP, this all looks a bit sus lol.

I find it insulting they bothered to make a hydroid workshop thing when they never planned to listen to people. Plunder is a stupid ability that is boring.

While I didn't say my piece on the forums, I did say my piece over on Pablo's Twitter thread when he asked for our feedback. Personally I feel like he more than listened to the feedback provided, and did the best he could with the time constraints. Hydroid was lacking in survivability (sure, he has brief moments of invincibility, if you have the energy for it) and Undertow had many issues with it, despite its uniqueness. I feel Pablo recognised this and went with the best option which was to remove Undertow and replace it with not only a survivability skill, but also a damage buff as well. Couldn't have asked for more personally.

Also the added manoeuvrability for Tidal Surge? I could smooch you Pablo 🥰 really looking forward to trying out his rework tomorrow!

  4. I'll both miss and not miss Undertow. Miss it because of its uniqueness, not miss it because it did not match Warframe's core gameplay speed and style at all. There was too much wrong with it and too much that needed to be fixed and changed.
The damage ramp-up took too long. The energy cost was painful. It didn't vacuum, so your screen would end up cluttered with loot thus preventing you from being able to properly aim to drag things in with your tentacle grab. Last but not least, Surging from it would release all enemies (when it wasn't supposed to) meaning all that time spent ramping up tick damage from water pressure was wasted. Personally, after seeing what it has been replaced with? I won't be missing it. Same for his passive ability (which was imo one of the worst in game next to Frosty boi.)

I'm really looking forward to trying out his new 3/augment in the coming days, along with everything else.

P.S: I wished when we crouched we'd turn into the Undertow puddle instead, just as a little visual keepsake of the old ability :')

Elude is a silly ability.  I wanted to like it so much when Baruuk came out.  The ability to just stand there and laugh off attacks sounds amazing, but it just doesn't work out.

When you use it you need to get yourself 200% range, which doubles to 400% range on Desolate Hands.  Because you invested in range you have to recast Desolate Hands over and over in order to keep its damage reduction, and there are less of them because you have less power strength.  You need duration to keep up with the energy drain of Elude combined with the repeated casts of Desolate Hands.  On top of that, everything that is supposed to be killing you is getting disarmed by Desolate Hands so the restraint loss is surprising slow.  While you're standing there hoping something gets around to shooting you, someone bullet jumps in and kills everything.

Alternatively you could dump duration, have a normal range, and pump strength up to absurd levels.  You get like a billion uses of Desolate Hands that last basically forever because they only attack enemies that get close to you.  If you ever need restraint all you need to do is cast Lull a couple times because it expires basically instantly and gets rid of like a third of your bar each cast.  You never have to worry about not attacking enemies, your Serene Storm is significantly stronger and easier to maintain, and you have always on 90%/50%/40% damage reduction each stacking separately.

It's not that Elude is unusale, it's just that builds that don't use it are better.  I can't think of a place where being functionally invincible is useful when you can't attack.  You might as well be dead.

This really. Elude is always the ability I replace. Currently I'm using Coil Horizon (used to use Pull before the range nerf) which procs Archon Stretch, and gathers enemies up for Lull.

Speaking of, I find it funny that Lull is Baruuk's ability yet imo I find that Ash has more use for it than the frame it was originally meant for. The only thing it's good for on Baruuk is Restraint degradation.

I just hope Duviri marks the end of big experiments. Lets just flesh out what we have now, no need for more systems.

Railjack, Mech, Operator, Archwing, Warframe and now Drifter. Those are enough, just add to them a bit here and there as new content is released.

100% this. It's honestly getting just a tad too much now imo. Time to flesh out and marry together the content that's already in game. God knows it's needed it for years now.

People seem to generally like the option of choosing whatever warframe(s) are most appropriate or enjoyable for a particular task or playstyle.

For example most people wouldnt bring hydroid to an exterminate.

Or bring a hydroid to a spy mission.

Or a mobile defense. Or survival. Or defense. Or rescue. Or capture. Or void flood. Or disruption. Or cascade. Or open world space. Or tricap. Or assassination. Or fashion show.

But seriously though, yes i know these things are *possible* with hydroid i would still consider it just annoying to be forced to use him for anything because i dont like him. Period.

    Me, a Hydroid main:
    LmpwZw

In all seriousness though, I get you. I'd feel the same way if I had Inaros as a pick.

As for a terrible prediction: Dominus Thrax is another version of Rell.

Relying on your Arsenal more isn’t a bad thing if the frames abilities directly benefit using weapons (like Citrine). But Hydroids abilities do not.

Agreed there, which is why it would be nice if his passive was changed to reflect that. Have his weapons deal more damage to enemies trapped/primed by his abilities perhaps.

"He's so bad I get to rely on my arsenal more" is not a positive.

Neither is it a negative. Personally I enjoy needing to use my weapons and not spamming one key over and over. To me that means there's a flaw within the games power structure. What point is there having weapons at all?

Regardless, different strokes for different folks. Doesn't mean I don't agree with you regarding him needing some love (though personally if there was a frame I felt needed it even more, it's Inaros).

I'm just asking for a Hydroid rework so he isn't obsolete.

Definitely needs some lovin', but he's not obsolete either. Sure, he's no Khora and doesn't have a synergising ability that wipes enemies caught up in his tentacles, but you know what does? An AoE weapon. He's a 'frame where you use your whole arsenal and not just spam 1 over and over. This makes him less mindless to play which I (and I assume the other mains) personally enjoy. Because lets face it, this game has far too many mind-numbing nuke frames as it is.

The only thing that irks me is his 3 and how poorly it synergises with the rest of his kit. His 1 isn't great either, and his passive is one of the worst in the game. Out of all his abilities I like his 2 the most, but ever since the bug introduced where you can no longer aim glide and cast it's definitely taken away from the fun of it (god I hope they fix this in Duviri).

I hope he gets a rework, yet still maintains the image of a kraken-summoning badass pirate.

This NWQ is, at present, and for all practical purposes, holding my account hostage. I cannot access my plat or my frames. Fortunately, over the years, I have other accounts to play the game with. I will not make this NWQ MISTAKE again. As far as the advice, it is appreciated and perhaps will be useful down the road. There is a possibility that one of the reasons I'm having so much trouble with the Archon fights is my age may be against me. If that is the case, then this current account is 'dead in the H2o' ... 'nuff said for now. Thanks for the feed-back Tennos.

You can do it, you just need to change your approach.

Go for Amar. In the first area use the middle of the map to your advantage to avoid him. Keep your distance and roll often (rolling grants you extra defence). Perfect your charged shots to proc slash. Save your heals for half health or to heal the fire proc if you get hit by it. Use the radar ability to detect his whereabouts when he spawns copies. When you get to the final area use the big rock in the middle to give yourself cover and repeat the above. Treat it as a battle of endurance rather than a battle of dps.

My big problem with this is that even the giant torso sized hammer has no impact when hitting an enemy.

For example, if you hit someone with a weapon like this:

skill claw flick elden ring wiki 480px

    they're going to go flying.

Meanwhile in Duviri they don't even flinch at all.

Why would I want Duviri when I can just ^

Only issue I have with the clip tbh. The lack of enemy reaction to the hits from the weapon isn't great, but at the same time it's obvious this is a testing ground for Soulframe. Hopefully they improve upon it though, and despite the spew of negativity here I'm still very much looking forward to Duviri 🙂

Extends the radio around the operator when you sling, so you can gain energy from more enemies when you sling through them, plus lets you break crates from farther away when you sling, win win for me. I've made a video long time ago to showcase it, since at that time I cloudn't find any visual resource for it and it's just damn good.

Tried Emergence Dissipate to find a replacement for Cloud but I couldn't get used to it (I may try it again in the future), people who use warframes more than operator may be more inclined to use that rather than Cloud.

Aah I see (also never knew that about sling 🤦‍♀️). Thank you kindly for the vid!

Emergence Dissipate is nice, but definitely shines the best when paired with a frame that can group up enemies. Another reason for why I put Pull on Umbra actually (besides making it easier to hit everything with Caustic and the Amp, and to gain a near instant 12x combo when meleeing with Umbra, and hitting everything with his 3 😁)

I've tried it but it's not my cup of tea I think, plus cloud + melt are almost mandatory on my build, I've tried to remove one but I always realize that melt procs are awesome (plus de dmg boost ofc) and running wihtout cloud makes things worse.

Fire rate arcane pairs really nice with Granmu, but I ended up ditching it since it requires a kill and it's not consistent. Those arcanes should be on kill without the RNG or just RNG on enemy hit... Plus 8 seconds for an RNG activation is really bad. Tird Virtuos Null and Virtuos Tempo some time ago and they just aren't worth the slot imo.

That reminds me, I wanted to ask you what Cloud does for the build. Is it just to sling further? Or does it affect something else I'm unawares of? (Ty btw!)

Looks nice! Gonna try it some day and btw, granmu prism is an excelent choice too instead klamora, probably the second best option.

Decided to give it a shot since I'd yet to master it. Rather enjoying it so far, though I might play about with a fire rate arcane. Have you tried Magus Accelerant together with Melt by the way? Was thinking of trying Accelerant, but not sure if it's worth it, if not complete overkill.

    Umbra

Regarding Umbra, I also recommend subsuming Mag's Pull over his Slash Dash. Combined with Unairu and a Gas/Elec melee on him (or his Exalted Blade for that matter) it makes for a powerful combo with your above suggestions. It also makes it easier for your Operator's Glaive (and Granmu in my case) to hit everything at once. Together they make for quite the deadly duo... when his AI doesn't break that is 😂

Quick clip of them both in action

Yes, lots of amp combinations in fact since it's really boring for me playing as a warframe and I usually run tests even if that implies farming for amps again. That's my niche.

Damage as operator has a limit, much more noticeable if you don't use Unairu or any other tool to remove resistances (armor/shield). Hitting yellow/orange crits with low damage are more worthless for me than shooting again at your will.

People used to give me the same argument when I recommended Phahd over Propa, since Propa has better stats on paper, but in practice Phahd is far more better. I've been advocating for Phahd since the glaive changes and people started to give it attention since last year.

It is for me and even more compared to Lohrin, which OP is using currently. Compared to Lohrin is an 8% increase at the cost of 12% SC, which is more useful in most situations.

This imo. Don't get me wrong the Certus is definitely nice, but I find it more useful for things like Eidolons etc than anything else.

(Reaaaaaaaaaaaaaally wish we could just switch out amp parts instead of needing to build a new goddamn amp every time though 🫠)

  18. Hard to say really since it depends on your play style, which 'frames you use, and the builds on said frames. If for example a 'frame I'm using is a little lacking in survivability or CC, I'll use Vazarin. If my build is mostly melee/heavy attacking? I'll use Naramon. 'Frame needs shield/armor strip in their build, but you don't want to replace anything with the Helminth? Unairu. Also don't sleep on the elemental amp arcanes from LD. You don't need to max them in most cases, I found 1 was enough just so you get the related status proc (viral for example).
