  1. What?  That makes no sense.  TTK is the underlying mechanism.  You can't get away from it in a destructive game.  There is no disliking it unless you're a games pacifist.  So, if you like destructive games of any kind, you not only like, you have a particular taste for a particular TTK value range.

I answered already most of the stuff you quoted in my post here https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/184017-why-do-people-hate-nova/page-9#entry2249608

  2. the "jetpacks" get closed right after, the same can be seen when we are dropped from them, they are not always open.

Those are mating arms used to secure the thing to the other vessel/structure.

The tenno-extraction wall is exposed to vacuum unless there are some magical force fields that aren't used anywhere else in game (not even by orokin).

  3. So, here's the deal: I used to be able to copy and paste text in this forum while using Internet Explorer. Now, I can't. I can still do it with Firefox, so I know the problem must be something relating to IE. I'd like to know what, exactly.

And before one of you smart-alecks responds with "Just use Mozilla, Mozilla Master Race" or something like that, I must remind you that a reply like that is not constructive. There are people who prefer to use or exclusively use Internet Explorer. And if they're facing the same issue I am, that makes this a problem.

    Check the security options.

Especially the Protected Mode is pissing me off to no end as it disables some scripts needed by quite a few sites to work correctly.

It's safer, but when more than half perfectly safe sites don't work you start wondering if it is really necessary.

  4. We have semantics.  The meaning of TTK(Time To Kill) is a lot closer to obvious than "artificial difficulty" which is just a disparaging term.  TTK is easy to resolve with simple math and switches and is directly connected to the player's enjoyment of the product.  "Artificial Difficulty" is a just a bunch of name calling.

Artificial difficulty is actually more definite than just "name calling". http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Artificial%20difficulty

It is scaling, zerg-rushing, and abilities that remove player choice.

And you cannot really do a lot about TTK per-se because unless you give he enemies a better AI, that's the only difficulty you can offer.

The point that Nova players are trying to get across is that Nova is great fun for them.  They enjoy obliterating hordes of enemies with funny poses and they wish that other Warframes could do so as well as Nova.

The problem that Nova haters have could be solved in many ways other than depriving Nova players of their fun.

A fair point. I think most of this can be solved by a decent match-making system.

That is, a filter or whatever so you don't get in their game if you don't like them. Which is also useful for afkers, rushers, trolls, and whatnot. Blacklists of players and blacklists of frames, that can be ignored by manual invites.

As long as there is no way to blacklist people based on stats it's not so abusable as conclave rating was.

  5. This event is very easy! From first run i got 770 points!

I need one better than this.

If i have 770 i got only gorgon wraith or all rewards?

In the next event i want more difficulty and bigger rewards then will be a hardcore challenge!

There is still the reward for 1000 points, the particle-effect badge. You don't have enough points for that. (check the event page, this reward was added after the livestream)

Need to do the shield core missions, not power core missions to get it. Different key to access them, check the foundry.

And those missions are actually challenging (or at least for me they were), the power core one is oriented towards more weak players.

All in all, I'd say that this event is a good event.

Anyone can get the real stuff without major issues, but the SWAG (badges) require a bit of skill.

And the thing does have some relatively innovative mechanic (yay for tower capture and yay for a REAL mobile defence!) and isn't just a repetitive "kill stuff with unstoppable frames for 100+ times"

Reminds me of the SUrvival event, as it is actually fun and does not require all your attention for a week.

    NEVAR EVAR ASK FOR DIFFICULTY.

They read "difficulty" as "MOAR GRIND", and I'm not keen on farming the same mission 100+ times to not even get the reward I wanted like for Gradivus.

  6. I don't think you want to accept her popularity and the lack of popularity for your ideas.  The fact of the matter is that the game does have higher difficulty or I should say, situations where the enemy TTK is increased and the player's TTK is decreased.  But, try finding a team to play those missions.  Most players have chosen to play mid levels, where it's easier, i.e. the player has a higher TTK and the enemy has a lower TTK.  The people have spoken.  They don't want a more difficult game.  So attempts to make the game harder across the board for everyone, instead of making more difficult missions more accessible so player choice is enhanced, are of questionable value.

We only have "artificial difficulty", which is that TTK thing you talk about. None likes that.

The point he was trying to get across is that the main reason we don't like her (me and him, and possibly others) is that we enjoy killing stuff personally as part of a team.

Nova BOOMS everything with Mprime, and this removes the fun. I admit that it is useful for farming (*cough*Gradivus and Invasions*cough*), but it ain't fun.

It's at least the 5th T2 MD that I'm basically afking because the team has two Nova.

  7. Only if that "balancing" is to bring the weaker frames up to Rhino/Nova/Trin/Loki spec, because right now those frames are in a sweet spot of fun and competitiveness. Nerfing them would destroy this fun, and would basically suck balls.

    Hey! Add Booben in there.

Also yeah, unless the AI of normal mobs gets better (Hyenas are a step in the right direction) they can do whatever and won't have a so huge effect.

  8. same identical issue for Exterminate missions, btw. And it's not "soft" lock. You can't do jack.

For the guys above, you go to the MOA spawners, and some can be hacked like a console. The MOA that is spawned is friendly, but won't follow you, only attack neighbouring enemies.

Seems like stuff that has been released by mistake, like the ability to give secondary weapon to the rescue targets.

  9. Frost is good if you learn to play him.

To everyone that thinks "He's slow, I don't like him." Congratulations, not everyone plays Warframe like speedrun simulator 2014. I enjoy playing the game over just farming the same mission 40 times in under 20 minutes, that's not my thing. If you really care about speed, throw a Rush on him and go about your day. Frost is king of Defense, even at higher levels. QQ you have to cast snowglobe more than once a wave. Maybe killing the enemy instead of hiding behind snowglobe would make it last a bit longer. Given, his 1 and 2 suck, don't use them, thats two extra mod slots for you (maybe the speed boosting mods you crave can go there c: )

    What? Booben and Nyx perhaps.

On serious situations (when you actually need a shield, I can solo T2s in any frame), Snowglobe lasts something like 5 seconds if there aren't too much heavies around. And I have max mod power mods and the mod power helmet for him.

With a Booben I was laughing in the same situation. Dump a couple Bastilles and a Vortex, and nothing gets through.

  10. Normal gorgon is still a good weapon, as long as you use it as a long-range ignis.

It's not accurate but its spread is capped somehow, your shots still land at the same distance from the aiming point regardless of range.

The wraith is simply a straight upgrade. Slash and puncture were too damn low even in normal gorgon, most of the damage is dealt by elementals anyway

    So yeah, gonna enjoy it.

  11. Vauban is a trapper warframe. Trappers place traps in places where stuff will move through BEFORE enemies are in range, not get in the thick of the fighting and laugh like Rhino or run like hell and suicide-bomb/shield up like Volt.

So yeah, must be played like a trapper. If you play it in a different way it sucks. If played like a trapper it's a god.

Other than that, Teslas get quite powerful if you load mod power booster mods, and are very cheap so can be spammed freely and once you put down 6-8 balls it's pretty impregnable for a first ability.

Bounce is pretty good on stairs, and in close-quarters. Mobs are repelled and suffer damage. The ability is cheap so you can spam it.

  12. Ummm... I apologize for the tone of the post above, I thought it was funnier written that way, but it was just harsher.

If you read my later posts you would see why I brought him up.

I read the whole thread. I was pointing out that bringing up Loki in particular like you did was not beneficial to the point that Frost atm is quite nerfed. (as it did attract responses like "loki master race")

Frost per-se is meh atm, and there are quite a few frames that are blatantly better in anything. I agree on that. I just wanted to say that it's not productive to call them down like you did with Loki.

I play mostly on a Frost Prime, it's my favourite frame, so I do know the feeling too. (I know, my stats show mostly a Rhino and a Soma because most of my play time was in U10, but I'm usually using FPrime+Gorgon+Cestra+DakraPrime. Same setup since U11 (apart from Cestra of course).

Being interested in this I did follow what is happening, from the last threads about frost Megan posted, Snowglobe is still being tweaked, with a decent chance that they will drop the duration limit and give it some kind of non-HP buff, possibly a damage reduction linked to Frost's armor or whatever. This is also found here https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/175122-february-7th-community-hot-topics/ in the Warframe Balancing.

The other thing for Avalanche was just a bug that was eventually fixed. The dev did say he noticed we did enjoy the effect it had on Frost and passed the word to the guy(s) working on him. (which again isn't much but it's better than a NEVAR!)

Can dig up the posts if you need.

What I do like of Frost is that now all his powers are boosted by the same mods.

Why are you speaking for moderators?

I just gave my opinion on their decision. Mods don't always come back to say why they did stuff (lotsa work, no pay), and I though a honest opinion is better than a silence.

And was I asking you? Yes, I feel like I should be asking you twice. Apparently, you don't get things right the first time.

Same as before. People like to post and then never come back.

The guy calling your red herring is applying the rules of debate too formally though.

  13. Frost is not useless. His main ability (snowglobe) is still being tuned, and the Avalanche CC thing was a bug and everyone knew it (the guy fixing it said he would report to other devs that for Frost it had a beneficial effect, crossing fingers but not faithful in ti being considered).

The first two abilities are trash, but there are around half the warframes in the same condition.

Please leave Loki out of this. There is also Trinity, Booben and Nyx that can basically go in GodMode, but that's not the point here.

General Discussion "All Warframe related topics posted here". I didn't want to give feedback, I wanted to discuss about this.

I think the mod chose the best for this thread.

I mean, the OP is basically "Delete frost because it sucks and I hate Loki because it is OP"

Which can be read as hastily-worded feedback (you didn't explain why until a few posts down), but can also be read as simple trolling.

Feedback goes here, trolling gets locked.

Also, devs never get in General section because... constant trash storm there.

    This means what? Enlighten me.

Wikipedia article about "red herring" first sentences below: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_herring

"The idiom "red herring" is used to refer to something that misleads or distracts from the relevant or important issue."

That's what you did when you posted that they should stop buffing Loki. As it misleads or distracts from the important issue (Frost being subpar).

Which is easy to see as most posts here are about Loki, and not about Frost.

  14. +1 to buff the seer. It's cool.

The problem with blast damage is, that it needs status chance to actually trigger, which has nothing to do with an AoE radios. They can keep the regular damage and add 1m AoE just so.

Ogris and Penta have a separate projectile dealing its own damage, AND a boom effect triggered by contact or command (respectively).

I'd rather have it deal Radiation or whatever

  15. Leveling up the Gorgon pretty much drove me nearly mad, the wind up time destroys any chance of quickly taking out enemies and once you got it winded up it burned through ammo like crazy (real problem with the ammo economy in this game), while having a lot of spread and very low damage.

All while team mates killed things with better weapons like the BRATON...

Felt lighter being done with it. Which was a shame since it's a fun design and unleashing a wall of lead via an LMG should always be something satisfying.

However since this one will come with potato leveling it up will be a quicker affair and since it comes with a free slot it will keep a place in my collection. So i won't look a gift horse in the mouth and will be a bit happy having it.

Hint: fire rate mods for spoolup, and especially Shred because without punchthrough it's crap. Also Heavy Caliber because it's trash accuracy anyway. And corrosive of course.

If you think of it as a longer-ranged Ignis, you can be happy with it. all shots land RELIABLY within a meter and something from the point you are aiming it at. Even at long distances.

It's usable up to very high levels (T3 survival 30+ or similar T3 def) with a couple formas and a potato.

I have high hopes for my new Gwraith.

  16. Here's another - if the game is too easy to all these hardcore "game is too easy" folks, why don't I see people playing on Pluto, Neptune, and Ceres more?

Because of ping and settings. You see only people you could theoretically play with.

And also because of Void, OD and Clans (people playing in invite-only).

high level play requires decent players, going with randoms is annoying as at least one is a noob with a braton-mk1.

Addendum, also because of PS4. All real veterans are on PC. PC and PS4 players can't play together.

  17. sincerely doubt DE would @#&$ it up so hard their visual change affected how the actual damage is put out.

Well, okay, that's a lie.  DE is very well capable of such a gross mistake.  Then again, the Synapse is horribly overpowered.  But other continuous weapons aren't.

Still, I don't notice anything wrong with the Ignis, Flux or Spectra.  I'll keep a look out next time I use them.

My Flux and Synapse keep overkilling stuff because damage is applied after a delay (as if the delay on damage numbers was applied on damage dealt too... suspicion)

It seems to be worse with lag, but it's bad even on Solo.

Ignis is not so horribly affected because of innate punchthrough, but the proc chance is now so low that it hurts.

  18. More than the uselessness, it's the delay. I hear those lines after I'm more than halfway through and I SAW THE FIRE WITH THESE TWO EYES (that the tenno seems to lack though).

Say that again once you're cornered by 3 Napalm during Level 35+ Invasions. You don't see jack because of all the flames and it takes your shield and health down in a matter of seconds. Hell can't be worse.

He meant fire hazards, of course. Napalms scale, fire hazards don't. So the latter stops being an issue after you have a decent frame. I can sit in it for ages with my Frost.

If only she could tell the newbies of the danger that naplams pose.

    Would make that line useful.

  19. Likely. Physx by itself isn't particularly demanding for a GPU.

Besides, I really doubt anything other than benchmarks can detect the difference between gddr3, 4 and 5.

More often than not what really matters is the memory bandwith, which is defined by the card's controller (the card's quality and price here), not the vram technology used in the card.
