  1. I've not tested the Acceltra yet, but the Akarius... I tested it on Ukko, how to say... I went out of ammo before reaching the capture target ? The hooming projectiles are cools but definitly the ammo stock make it ... Useless in my opinion.
You have 10 shot per clip, it shots two bullets at the time, meaning you have 5 shot per clip, you have 20 reserve ammo, so total you have 15 shots before the weapon is out of ammo.

That's really sad cause I enjoyed it directly when I saw how the projectiles worked and the blast radius, but then I saw my Mirage switching to my primary and I saw like "Owwh.... Already !? The fun was so short..."

the sentients, at least those on lua, uses differents spawn methods - if we forget the 'spotter' ones that need to see (or feel) you before it calls their big brothers in to fight. for example, the sentient 'spawning' time in the extermination/crossfire node on lua is about one minute after mission start - always, but where the scanning sentients will actuall be in the level can differ a lot. then, the spawning in the mobile defense seems to be annoyingly during the part when you have defend the console from destruction... in the survival node, they seem to spawn in rather fixed timeframes, similar to the rotations plus one or minutes.

so, if the zealots behave like them, we might see the same different 'behavior' in their spawning mechanic... which is something i'll try to keep in mind (meaning to put in mind what mission i witness them, when and under whatever circumstance).

all in all, they sure seems to be less frequent than the saturn six fugitives were... and they give less standing too ^^)

Sentients on lua use an entrophic algorythme too, meaning each X sec they attempt to spawn, if they don't, their chance to spawn on the next X sec will increase up to a cap. That's how the Saturn Six Fugitives worked, and that's also how the Zealots seem to work.
On Uranus the sentients occulysts use the same method, and that's why you will never see any zealot on Ophelia for example.
The cap is reached ~~ 20min, that's why it seems to be fixed in survival, but in mobile def I think there is an objective addition to the algorythme too.

And actually they spawn the same rate as the saturn six, just less at once, and also remember we're only at episode 3, so their global overall spawn chance may increase with further episodes.

isn't the almagams spawning depending on the alarm level (at least for those mission were alarms of any issue)?

I've not study enought the amalgams to confirm that or not.

About the current spawned mobs only proz' and herald, I'm sure the Baptizer is planned to come later as a one that maybe can corrupt your ?

It's a baptizer, meaning his role is to give some kind of entering ritual, so maybe he will transform mobs arround into infested, or even infest your warframe (similar mecanics to zanuka capture ?) but his drop table is identical as the two others, no extra loot, no weapon etc so I doubt that's what will occure.

And you're right, it's not the assassin mecanics, it's another similar to the Sentient spawner on Lua and Uranus.

Their body is just re-used operator suit from Nightwave S02 reward in different stages

It's the opposite, the final reward is the cosmetic used for them.

Okay so I'm done with the Gamejam I was busy with, and now let's study their pattern !

First tip: avoid grineer missions. Why ? Cause Manic used to prevent the saturn six fugitives to spawn on S1.

Second tip: avoid PoE. The Thumper were also blocking the spawn of the fugitives on S1.

Third tip: let's make the fracture controlled to get a potential x2 score against them in orb vallis.

Alas, that's (supposed to be) a solo Quest.

If you somehow manage to finagle someone into your Squad still, that's a bug / exploit.

It always has been a squad quest, at least it was on the release. The amount of extractor were 6 or 8 on the first day and were balanced to depend on the player number in the squad. If it was a solo quest it would say "solo mission" and make the one with the quest leave the group, as the saya's vigil does. But it doesn't, it just create a double session once arriving in the vallis.

  6. Hey there,

I've noticed that bug few days ago while helping a new player to discover fortuna, and it's still present after 3 hotfix.

So basically when you do the quest Vox Solaris, it won't join the vallis with other squad mate. The one with the quest will end up alone in the vallis while the others are on separate session in the vallis.

To be able to join someone doing the quest vox solaris, the one with the quest must go in the vallis with the mission, the other must be in their orbiter. The one in the vallis invite the one in the orbiter, which receive an invitation to join fortuna. Then the one of the orbiter must leave the squad and the one in the vallis with the mission must reinvite him for the second player to join the first one.

I have no idea on how to explain it better, cause it's a mess.

  7. A way to encourage people to participate properly would be to have some total score mission bonus tier.

    • 1-50 kills = 50 pearls
    • 51-100 kills = 75 pearls
    • 101-150 kills = 100 pearls
    • 151-200 kills = 150 pearls
    • 201-250 kills = 200 pearls

Also punishing the afk idling method of no-reward at all sounds good, it's incredible how many players are just joinging, securing the score, then going into a spot where enemy can't reach them and afk 4minutes.

Personnally I keep farming it because ... The Captura is tradable. So it will get value someday.

  8. Hey there,

While we're waiting for the episode 3 to show up, let's theorise abit.

During nightwave serie 1 we obtained the captura scene of the wolf break-out of the max-pen Saturn Six. But this time there is no capturas at all in the rewards even with those new locations seen in the two first episodes. The scenes of the serie 1 from episode 3+ are all from the Jupiter Gaz City, we obtained those caputras in the gaz city directly. For the serie 2 there is the first episode spot that is some infested spot with a corpus delivery "container" (the red thing we see first) and an infested corridor leading to a shrine very similar to the Red Veil infestation ambiant we can see on their relay room and on the harrow temple captura. This scene will probably be obtainable through the upcoming things about this serie 2, I'm thinking of some infestation base rework before empyrean.

But now it's where things comes interesting, on the episode 2 of serie 2 we saw a very strange room.  A grineer sea-lab storage room never seen in the game before, correct me if I'm wrong here, but the most disturbing detail is that the entrance to that room is actually... A Corpus large doorway...

Where am I going with that ? Well the serie 1 was the lore introduction of the amalgam project lead by Alad V on Jupiter, as an introduction of the upcoming Gaz City rework update aka Jovian Concorde.

Now let's be crazy for real.

Back in tennocon 2017 the team spoke about the next open world as an Icy thing, we all now know it was venus they teased about. But they also mentionned something else about the theorically 3rd open world to come. On tennocon 2019 they teased the Duviri Paradox, featuring the Void Open-World zone, but this isn't matching with what they told at tennocon 2017 about the third open-world to come. We know the Duviri paradox won't come this year and will probably show in the end of 2020 after the next tennocon, because they have lots of things to do about empyrean and new war, etc.

We know some new infested units are on the way for Empyrean, and there is that Nightwave serie 2 going about the Infestation. They mentionned long ago that they wanted to expand the lore of the Helminth chamber, and it seems it's going to come with the serie 2 backstory. We also heard about their intention to provide us the Railjack drydock dojo room before empyrean update, meaning before their current release window in fall. This update would include the orbiter remaster as well as the new dojo drydock. The Orbiter remaster could mean helminth chamber rework / remove / expand / whatever.

The serie 2 Nightwave was announced to have interaction with the game more interesting than the serie 1, which sounds to me "there will be game mecanics interaction between the player and the story further than just hunting down an assassin and his minions". If we follow the idea of how the capturas from serie 1 were to be obtainable, then the new rooms from the serie 2 would be farmable somewhere...

Do you guys think possible that DE team worked silently, perfectly hidden and under the radar with 0 leak of any kind on the 2017 mentionned 3rd open world none other than ...

    ERIS OPEN WORLD

Personnally I'm very sceptic about the idea that the team had the time to work on that with all the things they're already working on. (railjack mecanics, empyrean update overall, duviri paradox, new war, 3rd venus orb fight probably coming before empyrean) But who knows ?

What do you think about the idea ?

  9. Sad, I didn't reach the honorable mention with my end-trailer scene made in captura.

But there was so many well done shots, that's also why I went for that scene instead, that it was so hard to beat them with my low spec graphisms.

Good job everyone on the Frame by Frame contest !

  10. They hinted that next week will maybe offer a way to "cool off", could be the third orb fight, but I doubt it would last only for a week end plus it seems difficult for them to publish 25.4.0 on console and the orb fight together. Would be unfair to have an event only on pc I think.

My guess on the next week end additionnal event is more the reconstruction of a Frost Relay.

i gotta ask, why do you want to disable those particles? they're already in such tiny amounts that they won't impact performance much (if at all).

and yes, what you're getting there is just CPU particles instead of GPU, that's how it was before the new particle system was introduced.

It impacts performance a lot on my hardware, as in 5%-10% of additionnal GPU load out of nowhere.

    ## Update 25.4.0 ##

Issue type switcher from "GPU particle rendering problem" to "Particle System rendering problem".

Added an EDIT description of my actual think on the issue source.
