  1. Moros tried to follow the drone as well as he could, he even tried to jump after it's tail as it flicked in the air. Alas, it was out of his reach and he landed back on the floor on his four paws, which as far as puppy paws go were quite unporoprtinate to his small body and he would have to grow into.

Suddenly the door opened and two figures steped through. Moros, compleatly oblivious that he'd done anything that might be considered wrong, once again sat down, tilted his head and gave a happy little bark. Something that left his mouth opened in something that resembeled a goofy grin as toung hanged out. Looking at the newcommers with playful eyes, he was blissfully ignorant of the so called mess he had made.

    ----------------------------------------------

A familiar precence flashed with it's existence, and it made Jinx reach new levels of anger. And if it was at all possible, her mood souered even more. That thing could just go and die in her opinion. As it should have done that already.

Yet here it was, still mocking her and getting on her nerves with its continued existence. Jinx knew better than to trust it. Temperence on the other hand, had let himself be manipulated by it before, and like a naive child would continue to listen to its poisonous lies.

Her internal monolouge about Temperance idiocy and the verious ways she'd like to inflict pain on that thing was interupted by Tacis finally responding.
Jinx gave Temperance one hard shove to the throat with her underarm, a sign to let them know she knew it was there, before replying to the Grandmaster.

"The issue is that our idiot captain whent to talk to our resident paranoid Nekros, alone. They nearly jumped eachother before and now Dalimir wants to talk with me in private. Coincident? I don't think so."

As She finished her sentence, Jinx's faceplate slid into place again as she forcefully draged Temperence with her out of the storageroom and continued their brisk walk.

"Where do you want me to take him?" She asked, while still considering just smashing Temperance against a wall again. It wouldn't help the situation but it would certainly make her feel a little better.

  2. Atlanta didn’t move. Despite one of her own engineers getting involved and stepping in between, the Banshee’s words had caught her completely off guard. Not just the words she had said but the way she had said them. It sounded so sincere, like she actually meant it, like a concerned parent. The fact that this concerned parent had the presence of a whimsical fairy only made it stranger.

Her mind blanked out for a moment. For once, Atlanta had no idea of how to respond to that, and she found that annoying. What was even more annoying was how it seemed to have hit something in her, stirring up emotions she didn’t want there.

All she managed to do was to snort at it and snidely telling the Banshee “Just get out”

    ---------------------------------------II------------------------------------------

Jinx did not let him stop. Instead, as the Ash tried to do so, she simply yanked him along with her again to keep him moving. At this stage, Jinx was annoyed, really, really annoyed  “That you even have to ask that question after this stunt-“ She managed to stop herself from verbally berating him further, she could do that when they were, as Temperance himself had put it, away from prying ears. Last thing she wanted was for Dalimir to somehow hear any of it.

A small icon blinked in the corner of her HUD and made a little sound before just continuing its blinking. Jinx’s first thought was that it was Tacis again, wanting to know why she hadn’t replied to his last message yet. Instead however, it was as if the Nekros had somehow sensed the situation she was in, as the message was from him

--Jinx, we need to talk. In private. Meet me in my quarters as soon as you are able.—

The Nyx’s left eye corner twitched as she made a grimace under her helmet. She couldn’t let this slide, oh no, not by a long-shot. As they passed the nearest storage room, Jinx opened it and dragged the Ash in with her, all in one flowing movement.

The second the door shut behind them, the black and red Nyx forced Temperance against the wall and pinned him against it with her left lower arm against hit throat and her right hand at the ready with a Despair, should the Ash try anything.

Her visor opened up and pulled back, leaving her scowling face and red eyes visable as she through gritted teeth said “You just LOVE making my life difficult, don’t you?” her every word dripping with distain. Jinx paused for a moment before abruptly adding in a flat tone “I should have killed you when I had the chance back at the church”

She then opened up a channel to Grandmaster Tacis directly, and when she got through said “Sorry for not responding earlier. Now about that request you had, we actually have a problem on that front, two in fact. I’m on my way to you, with our captain.”

    --------------------------------------------------II------------------------------------------------

Arthur watched from a safe distance, with an eye on his tracking HUD, as Jinx hooked arm with Temperance and led him away. Though it could be argued that she was dragging him rather than leading him, he was pretty sure Jinx would call it to “decisively” lead the ash to where she wanted him.

Thinking about it, Arthur felt a little disappointed that he had to act as Dalimir’s shadow. At the moment he would much rather listen in on whatever their oh so honorable captain was about to go through because of this stunt. Maybe Jinx could let him listen in through their com-channel. One could hope.

As he noticed movement on his tracker, Arthur immediately made sure to be out of site when Dalimir stepped through the door. Once again he remained his shadow. Out of sight, but close enough to be able to spring into action, which he almost did when hearing commotion from Dalimir’s location further ahead. But there was nothing to warrant him revealing himself, instead he tried to see if he could find another route to avoid meeting the crewmate Dalimir just did and risk any interaction that the Nekros might hear or notice.

Avoiding that however, proved to be impossible unless he moved too far away from Dalimir. Instead, he slowed his pace, and even stopped and waited to give the Nektos a bit more distance to avoid revealing himself.

Moros was in the middle of trying to get the sticky contents of the jar off of his fur, preferably by consuming it, and was licking as much from his nose as possible. When finished with that, he sat down on his hind legs and moved on to scraping it off from the fur on his head with his paws, before consuming that as well.

It took a while for Moros to notice the proxy hovering in the kitchen as he was contently licking his paw. He stopped as he saw the proxy, put his pawn down and tilted his head to the right, looking at it with curious eyes.

  3. Atlanta wasn't quite sure what to make of the spectacle in front of her. The banshee very presence, or lack thereof, was more akin to an absent-minded child instead of a warrior. Her mannerism and lack of precision in her language wasn't helping ether. All in all, a very childish presence.

Her face might be covered by her Nova helmet, but her gaze and stare was fixed on the Banshee. Had her helmet not been there, Maina would have seen the chief engineer's expression of disbelief mixed with fascination.

Atlanta just barely registered the question she was asked when trying to process the spectacle in front of her that was Maina.

"Wire? You want us to spare wire?" She said in disbelief before bursting out into a laughter that could be hard to tell if it was in mocking or amusement. Probably because Atlanta wasn't sure herself, this all seemed too absurd to her.

"We're out in unknown space, away from help, on our own and can't be sure when or if we'll find something helpful or of use. And here you are, asking us to spare resources, the only resources we can count on having for this entire trip. Even trying to claim that a few meters aren't much when every centimetre counts out here. I can't tell whether you're pulling my leg or simply haven't used your brain!"

    --------------------------------------

A scream, shout, something that carried an accusing tone. Arthur was out of reflex on his way to storm in to fend off whatever was happening in there before Jinx put a steady hand on his shoulder to hold him back.

"Wait, there is severe tension, but none of them has gone into action yet." At the first sign off that there might be confrontation, Jinx had focused even more, to the point where she might have been detected by another Nyx had she started to go deeper into any of the possible combatants minds. Luckily she hadn't had to, she detected no sign of struggle, no sign of pain. Only anger, and a tension so thick that you could probably cut through it like a knife through butter.

Arthur stood down, still tense and ready to spring into action, he could sense the same tension in Jinx despite her trying to keep up an appearance of being in control. He looked down on his CPID to check Dalimir's position, and he hardly made any motions. Jinx was right, it probably meant they were at a standoff.

They stood there in silence, trying to listen in and keep track of their positions. Not long after, Jinx uttered a displeased "He's coming" to which Temperance walked out the door. He seemed to register their presence but otherwise ignored them and walked away.

With a single glance and nod to each other, Jinx walked in a brisk pace after their Captain while Arthur stepped back into the shadows, so to speak, and continued his game of staying two moves behind Dalimir while keeping track of him and tailing him.

As Jinx caught up with Temperance, she caught him in a steady arm-in-arm grip while matching his pace. Turning her head towards him, she gave him an uncharacteristically sweet looking smile which was not matching the almost snarky tone in her voice as she said "We're going to have a little talk, you and I" And as if to make a point, tightened her arm-in-arm grip on him.

Meanwhile, Moros had run into a bit of trouble as he had gotten his head stuck in one of the jars while trying to reach the last of its contents. All to which the pup was swiching between trying to get it off and running around making desperate little noises in distress. After a bit, he did manage to get it off. Although now with the fur on his head and his nose covered in some sticky, brown, sweet and viscous fluid.

  4. You’d think that now with the ship having had a thorough “examination” and being fully repaired, things would slow down to normal down in engineering. It hadn’t, on the contrary, with the ship freshly repaired after an incident that had killed people and soon to make its first jump after that, the engineering bay was just as busy as it had been right after the accident. Only difference from before was that all engineers had been ordered to wear full Warframe in the bay and if you wasn’t wearing your helmet now then you sure as hell would when the time came to charge up the engines.

Atlanta was standing by one of the central consoles going through calculations and estimates with the Rhino who had kept her from going completely ballistic at the Mirage Kate only a few days past. Everything seemed to be in order and any repairs or reinforcements of existing materials and systems was finished. According to all calculations and their own estimates, the ship would be fine doing the jump and the next after that one. And all systems seemed to correspond with those calculations, so far anyway.

“Can I help you?” She heard a voice say and looked up to where she had heard it. By one of the doors, one of her engineers had stopped next to a Banshee Atlanta couldn’t remember seeing before. At least it wasn’t that “accident”-prone Mirage.

The Nova raised her voice and said “What are you doing over there? And what do you want?” Her voice was as direct and to the point as her questions and her gaze were fixed on the Banshee as she awaited a reply.

    --------------II---------------

Things had been rather uneventful after he and Lancelot had had their talk with the Tower’s Cephalon. Uneventful in the aspect that nothing more had gone wrong so far. Nothing had broken, nothing had attacked them again. Only repairs, training and duties. Which when you consider how things had been just on the journey to the tower, was calm.

Arthur guessed he should be grateful for the calm as it gives everyone a chance to recover. But he needed things to happen around him to be able to stop his mind from wandering. He didn’t like feeling guilt and had avoided the Mirage as best he could. Jinx had noticed this and given him weird looks but not pushed him on the issue. She had probably figured it out on her own by now anyway.

Other than that, the most eventful thing that had happened was when Jinx’s new Kubrow pup had started chewing on things and they both had to start thinking about where they put down their gear. Securing the room to make sure that nothing harmful was in the pup’s way, and in his own case essentially playing tug-of-war with it as he tried to get his weapon cleaning set back from it. The little critter left some rather deep dents on the casing but the tools inside were still in good shape.

At this moment, he was doing what Tacis had set him on doing for the past few days now. Keeping an eye on Dalimir and stalking him around. Having been granted access to the CPID’s tracking function came in handy when he had to stay out of sight in larger environments and still have his location. Such as now was the case with moving about the tower. He didn’t need Dalimir in his eyesight to follow him and when the Nekros stopped he snuck closer, enhancing his audio receptors to hear better.

Dalimir had been acting cautious and it was clear that he didn’t trust easily. That last part could very well just be the way he was, he did strike Arthur as someone to be slow to trust others but he couldn’t say if it in that case had gotten worse after the incident in the infirmary or not.

The Nekros had even gone back to the infested lab to download data again, even after others had gathered tons of data and he himself had handed back the datamodule he had left there before the infested attacked. Arthur put this down to Dalimir’s apparent mistrust of others.

What he had noted though that wasn’t a character treat was the fact that the Nekros seemed to be poking at things related to Temperance while still avoiding the so called captain. Looked like Jinx had been right when she said that he was dead set on finding the “truth”.

Suddenly he seemed to stop in his tracks, and was turning back. Arthur had to quickly find a place to hide before Dalimir spotted him. He just about managed to get up to the ceiling and pressed himself the surface of what he had always thought was a large round chandelier and stayed there as the other Tenno passed below, waiting for him to get a head-start and then followed him again.

He was heading back to the Manifold. As they moved further into the ship, Arthur compared their position the the map, and realized that they appeared to be heading to Hydroponics.

    --------------------II----------------------

Being stuck for observation in the sickbay for a day wasn’t Jinx’s idea of “fun” though one could say that it had, later in the day, been “interesting”. A Banshee user had showed up, walking from patient to patient and been more prone to nonsensical chatter than she could ever remember Yui being back home in the Clan Dojo. And that Nova basically talked nonstop when she wasn’t running around like a Kubrow on stimms.

Though the obvious religious tones in her speech along with the overly optimistic perkyness was something Jinx found very unsettling. She’s had to deal with people being next to religious in the practice of their work before, and it was something she could definitely do without.

She hadn’t even been sure how to interpret her own voice as she told the Banshee to leave. Shocked, stern, nervous, stressed or freaked out. She did leave her alone after that though. And Jinx could soon return back to her duties with her back only feeling a bit stiff, but not in pain.

She did have more reason to be happy in the end. The Kubrow egg she had brought with her on board had hatched only a few days after and the pup had been sniffing out every inch of her and Arthur’s room. When she wasn’t on duty she allowed him to follow her around the ship, which was mostly to the training rooms or the mess hall.

Do to his affinity for creating chaos, as they had experienced firsthand in their own quarters, Jinx had found the name Moros quite fitting for the pup.

Other than that, Grandmaster Tacis had started to train with her and Arthur. But as at least one of them was usually on duty, they hadn’t been able to fight against Tacis as a team like they were used to. It felt very strange to her, something was always missing. It was easier to fight as a team. They had done that since they awoke from cryo-sleep and hardly ever needed to speak as they moved.

She knew that Arthur wasn’t doing the normal patrolling on the ship but some surveillance on Dalimir. So, on her own initiative she had kept track of Temperance since he left sickbay, Void knows what he’d get himself into after that stunt with the colossus. Being a Nyx made it easy to follow him around while staying out of site. Staying unnoticed mentally was a little harder with that thing in his head, but as long as she didn’t start digging into his brain it was relatively easy.

Today was no exception, she had followed him again, and was now positioned nearby Hydroponics 2, waiting for him to leave again. That, was the most boring part, the waiting. But said waiting might be necessary with Dalimir on the loose, if Temperance’s other half felt it had to protect itself, she might have to take him out.

Speaking of the devil, she could sense a familiar presence closing in, two in fact. One was Dalimir, the other Arthur. Jinx could only watch from the shadows as her prediction seemed to come closer to happen as the Nekros entered Hydroponics.

“Arthur, what’s he doing here?” She asked her brother over their private comline. Not long after he had found her and stood beside her.

“No idea, I had hoped to have him avoid Temperance, but with you here that's a negative on that hope. He stopped as if he just thought of something, or maybe he got a message.”

The idea of Dalimir going to Temperance after receiving a message was very unsettling. Had someone in the crew told Dalimir about Temperance? She found it unlikely as only a handful knew about it at all. Maybe someone had pieced things together themselves and told the Nekros of their suspicions or even trying to incite something.

She didn’t need to look at Arthur to know that his mind was going in the same trail of thought.

“You’re monitoring them, right?” She asked

“Yep, so far they’re staying on a distance from one another. What about your end?”

“Dalimir is suspicious, and Temperance is unchanged from before, no sudden bursts of emotion. I haven’t dared doing much more than surface scan.”

     ----------II----------

When Jinx left her and Arthur’s room she had done so in the belief that the door was Kubrow-proof. With the little pup also taking many and long naps on her pillow, what could possibly go wrong? But the pup did wake up before Jinx got back. And as with any child when they get bored, started to entertain himself. In this case, what he was not supposed to be doing, and try to find a way to open the door.

The little fur-ball was very motivated to say the least as it after all was left alone, and it knew there was a lot more interesting things on the other side of said door. Interesting smells, lots of strange people and of course food.

After some trial and error he did manage to get out and immediately started sniffing around the area. Remembering one of the routes he usually took with Jinx, the little Kubrow trotted down the hallway and eventually came to the place he’d seen food been taken out from.

Sniffing the air he knew he had come to the right place. Getting through this door was easy and soon the pup was exploring every inch of the place, sniffing around to find some treats. That didn’t get much result as there were hardly any smells left other than some chemical one that didn’t smell food.

Finding a cupboard he tried to push it open, biting in the edge and pulling it, got inside only to find bowls and the like. And as he got back out he accidently pulled some of it out with him. In his search he tried to jump up on a counter only to slide back down, pulling some sort of tool down with him. When it almost landed on him and made a horrible sound as it hit the ground, the pup ran and hid behind another workbench, peeing a little as he calmed down.

Finally he came to a wall where he could actually smell the faint sent of food. Eager to get to it he started chewing on the containers, jumped up on one of the shelves and knocked a few down to break the containers open, before subsequently jumping down again and start chewing on anything he had managed to break open. Or sticking his head into the container and then start chewing. All in all, Moros was pretty pleased with himself.

  5. Okay, sorta bad news. I'll be gone for a few days and won't be able to sit down by a computer until Thursday again. So no post from me until then. And Fish, if your post isn't up by the time I come back you will never hear the end of it.

  6. I feel obligated to write here so that the OOC just won't disappear into the abyss, and to make sure that the people who're not with us in chatango or Discord get the info as well. Temp is currently having a lot to deal with in school and the post will be delayed further due to exams but about 50% of his post is done so far.

  7. Jinx proceeded to stare up at the ceiling again. She could hardly believe the idiocy of this Trinity, though her actions when first arriving on the ship should have been warning enough. “Of course you’re only half as useful when you’re only doing half the job required” It was beyond arrogant, it was stupid, plain and simple.

    ----------II-----------

Arthur wasn’t quite sure how much to believe the Cephalon, but he also felt like most of his worries could be ether confirmed or dismissed by the tri-cephalon onboard the Manifold. How odd that something or someone just happened to lend aid in the digital sphere or the AIs.

Hearing Lancelot over the com he made sure that their connection was a private one before replying “I think our own Cephalons can help us with those suspicions.”

The black and red Excalibur then cut the com to Lancelot and spoke through the Helmet again for Scitarius to hear “We’ll convey your request and I think we got some people whom might be able to help."

To both you and op, we do have the offtopic section of the forums, which could allow people to rp stuff that has nothing to do with warframe. I mean, we have like three offtopic rps there so it wouldn't hurt to have another, right

In that case the OP should move this thing to Off Topic and not keep it here.

Daym... haven't seen TES rps for ages now...

As for this thread, it does look like out of place but it does not harm anyone either.

In the long run it can. If this is allowed then what's to say that more and more Warframe unrelated threads won't pop up and drown the actual threads?
