You really think that they would allow passive energy regen for a toggle Stasis when they don't with WoF and every other toggle on every other frame?  If anything, DE would make it so the energy drain would ramp up over time or something just because of how powerful Stasis is and because of Limbo's two innate forms of energy regen.

I just dont find the current Stasis annoying enough to warrant making it a toggle.

You literally quoted me cite an example of a warframe that allows passive energy regen while a toggle skill is on. What the hell.
    But alas,
it could just handicap the energy regen, which isn't a big deal too considering you can have multiple forms of energy regen stacked, from both: tenno skills and auras.
You've also got limbos extra 10 energy from kills, in case you need more energy.

Because having the ability always be active would make Limbo far too strong. Limbo can already pick his engagements via jumping into and out of the rift and by picking those engagements enemies are then locked in time unable to actually affect Limbo. Stasis being a timed ability a brief period where stasis ends and enemies are able to briefly attack limbo (which can be worked around by recasting Stasis in 1 spot), if Stasis s a toggle remove that brief window where Limbo can actually be harmed.

Making stasis a toggle isn't a QoL life but another direct buff to the skill. Unless you're willing sacrifice another aspect such as limiting stasis to a set AoE or some other nerf, you're just making an already buffed skill even stronger.

And that doesn't actually justify why stasis should be infinite anyway. You're arguing that one skill should be OP because another skill is a prequiste, except Limbo is suppose to be in the Rift anywhere as that's his mechanic. WHich is why he has energy generation as a passive of bot the frame and the Rift, he's meant to be casting alot of skills.

Because half a second to recast stasis is a major downfall, how?

Enemies ARE ONLY FROZEN within the rift while it is active. They can't stay FROZEN forever, even if the stasis is infinite, because THERE IS A DURATION for how long they can stay on the rift too.

And no, i am not arguing a skill should be OP because there is another skill prerequisite, I am arguing that recasting rift is an unnecessary step and should just be a toggle.
Weather or not, they balance energy regen with toggle rift, is beyond me and honestly doesn't concern me as much if it is really necessary.

You are the only one who brought the OP argument into this. I am basically saying, that toggle or not, he's still the same frame, just that doesn't have two durations to take care of.

Being able to shoot inside the rift VS half the duration on statis is an unfair trade IMO. and not only that, but the enemies still need to be in the first to be shot, as you cant shoot across planes.

Yeah it was a knee jerk reaction. I guess it isn't obvious enough for DE to know that giving someone else the tools to interrupt other player performance was a dumb idea.
There shouldn't even be a trade to start with, it is a quality of life change to limbo, from a mistake they made. What's next? You are scrolled back up if you scroll too fast down on the foundry?

It still bothers me why they thought it was a good idea to stop players from picking up drops if they are inside the rift.

I'm a Limbo main and I think it is fine as is.  Yeah, you have to cast it twice per Cata/Banish but I'd rather do that than not have energy regen.  It would inconvenience me if anything.

They don't even need to remove the energy regen. Anyone who has played limbo doesn't have a problem recovering the energy lost from casting stasis, so what's the difference?
It is a convenience. Nothing more, nothing less.
Want an example of another warframe who has a toggle ability that can be negated with energy regen? Equinox.

You could just kill the wardens or drones as they're frozen in time. Spy is just as simple now as it was before.

Stasis+Cataclysm is still the strongest CC ingame right now. Enemies are now frozen for 30s instead of 60s.

Can't see any area where Limbo lost viability, he is still amazing at excavation, MD and spy while no longer being an outcast

Yeah, i definitely agree with this too. It is a good CC skill.
...And you are right again, it didn't lost viability.

But as you might already expect, there is also no point in making it a timed ability. You can easily recover the necessary energy to recast stasis, so why not? 😕

Changing it  to channeling would allow limbo to always have it active as combine with the rift passive 2e/s and Limbo's 10e per kill it would be hilariously easy to maintain channeling stasis for the entire mission. It's not just QoL it';s breaking the already strongest CC in the game even more.

Most Limbos are built with duration so stasis on average will last 20-30s, is it that hard to just glance at your ability?

Like others said before, it is rather a convenience, i can live with just glancing. But the micromanaging is unnecessary hence the thread.
You can still balance the drain and energy regeneration, even though, having infinite duration within the rift isn't really a big jump from saryn infinite spores.

Not to mention, that there isn't really a down side or upside to keep the ability running. You'd have to still cast the other abilities to make use of the infinite stasis.
Which well.. already balances itself, if you think about it.

  4. i have had the most consistency on this bug yet

It isn't related to being an host or going in public. Happened also while solo.
It consistently happens when using a shotgun. (my case was sobek, but it happened to hek/etc... some beam weapons flicker before shooting)

Most consistent way i found of reproducing the bug is, to run a banshee, with the resonating quake augment (cast it right away) and then shoot at anything ---> bug happens.

  5. As tittle implies, changing it to a channeling ability from a duration based one.
There is nothing that will hurt this, but make it more practical.

Quality of life you may say. Negative duration doesn't really matter, since stasis requires enemies to be within "limbo's rift", which is still bound by duration.
This puts an bigger emphasis that limbo is at his best, within the rift, which is already the intention. And doesn't require DE to change plans in what they are planning to do to him.

    That's all.
    Thank you.

  6. There is more to the game than damage, hence it also needing refinement.

Instead of being upset over your fellow team mates dealing more or less damage than you, and "stealing" the kills/fun, Perhaps you should reconsider why that is the only fun aspect? Or what makes that the most important one.

  7. I like this, it looks fun, this is what all warframes should aspire to be, fun to use.

First things first, there needs to be addressed how the build up works:

    •  It builds up damage, for the longer it stays active and loses its power once all enemies effected die. This idea is great, specially in missions when you are alone, makes for high risk, high reward gameplay that everyone will likely love. Micromanaging infected enemies to deal the most with the abilities.
This is really my only grip here:
      • What happens once the damage ramps up to the point, it makes the mission entirely boring to the team involved?
      • What happens when enemies are killed before the spore has a chance to spread? (losing also instantly all the built up spore damage)

Other than this, i honestly think you guys should keep the Spore + Molt combo.

    • Instead just make the molt explode when it gets infected with spores, AOE. (it doesn't spread spore)
    • Giving it maybe a Voodoo like power, where the damage inflicted on Saryn is sent to the molted skin and further increases the area of effect of the explosion (or maybe damage)

Toxic lash on melee, for fun sake, maybe instead of double damage, honestly, i think it would be much more fun if it increased the range of melee normal combos (no slide attacks, just good old hack and slash) when using it.

I mean, it is already a thing for saryn users to run with an huge stick, this just expands it to other melee.

  8. I was talking late yesterday, on @mogamu 's stream about this.
How the reward distribution sounds backwards, as it would make more sense for the blueprint and systems to be on the first rotations and not on the last. Jokingly that we sort of thought the same.

But yeah, it is definitely kinda awful that we've got also to farm for a 4th part that conflicts with the 3rd. I feel like these drops being bound to a game mode do more harm than good.
To everyone who is looking for the new warframe, it is a painful experience of rolling the dice (kinda like it was for me with nidus, only took 1 year guys, thanks) and for everyone that is there just for the experience or more end game rewards, getting the warframe parts are kind of a second endo reward, sort of like getting a book for xmas. (just extra credits)

I personally know of one case.

With a bloody cellphone game. Basically the son of a neighbor of mine got hooked on it, and stole his mother's debit card to pay for loot boxes in it. When they discovered, he had already spent upwards of 500€ in it.

She's a poor woman working two jobs to try and keep her family afloat. She cannot afford to take these hits on her savings.

They are still trying to get the money back. They havent been very successful.

Gambling is already problematic with adults. When you allow immature children access to it, the problem grows exponentially.

You'd freak out of how many people I've met who have already passed 5k in loot boxes alone, in F2P games.

  10. Funny enough, warframe is an good example as how you don't really need them to make a game successful.

They took their time, but it caught on. After the controversies over what happened, it was about time it got regulated. Won't name any names here, but there were pretty sketchy games using their mechanics to pressure the player base into a life of (lootbox) gambling. Like actual manipulation kind of sketchy.

  11. Sadly this has been a trend as far as updates go.
If you compare old warframe releases to the present warframe releases, it should be obvious of much expensive it has became.

    1. DE increases how hard is to get a thing.
    2. Players farm thing till their hands and eyes fall off
    3. Players acquire a absurd about of resources from hours of repetition and farming
    4. DE panics that players have enourmous suply of resources and rush through content
    5. Back to step 1) DE increases how hard is to get a thing.

Oh yeah, don't forget the yearly addiction of new resources. Thanks on that too.

At this point, I think they are as big a spoiler as Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's father.

So, it probably wouldn't warrant going to great lengths to hide it but maybe just make those who haven't clear Second Dream see the operators as their frames or something instead of removing the feature for others.

    Blurred ghost of sorts right?
Makes sense and i am down with that. I feel like this should have been there since day 1. Pretty downing when i meet new players who already have been spoiled everything, it makes the game feel much more hollow for them.

    Oh 2 spam posts, nice.

Well I guess some Tenno still need hand holding ... I bet those 2 did not even bother to open those links

I was sure the reason was clear, at least one of them...  That I started this thread was, because I was wondering if someone was able to do a "nice" Orokin colour Palette with Excalibur Prime or had some opinions on one.

Honestly i am confused as they are and i bothered to open the links.
If you are going to bother with calling others spammers, at least offer some context.

Anyway, i don't think the orokin color palette had anything to do with the color choices for excalibur prime, hence it being hard to replicate.
