i've been running Volt over Nova in the last games 

people die way to much vs the Napalms and Heavy gunners and that really gives shield/sprint time to shine 

however in the missions that aren't swarmed with those two Nova is  still better and since we need 100 runs to get worthwhile prices expect people to rush missions with their strongest load outs ...

well i can only talk about Volt since i got him to 30 + potato.  people will already tell you to get Nova as she is a powerhouse right now

 

 - He isn't a good "caster" with 150 max energy at 30 all of his damage falls of vs heavy armored and higher levels ( i struggle vs Grinners over 60 using stretch/focus and the power helmet and infested just dont give a fk ) 

 

- He is very mobile and has good shields (i get  800-ish shields with high rank Vigor and Redirection ) and just don't equip Overload since it leaves you standing in the air for 3/4 seconds not doing enough damage

 

- Shock is "fine" as it kills rollers and ospreys in 1 or 2 goes and can do it in chains but that's about it

 

-Speed and Shield let you run from one place ->put a shield ->kill heavy units and run away and makes soloing things like Raptor very easy

 

TL:DR not a caster but a mobile DPS with guerrilla tactics , he's very fun to play tho and not hard to farm

[Soloable Void Missions]

i usually solo Capture and Exterminate up to Tower III as Volt,  just run from cover to cover and use shield when out of cover, ditch overload for sprint speed 

 

Nova works too but i'm more confident with Volt's better shield values 

 

ohh and Bring good weapons especially on Volt 

[Banshee Or Nyx?]

people love Nyx because of her Chaos 

Banshee shines mostly for her Sonar ( which is sad) 

 

(talking about high defense/survival not normal gameplay)

on the bright side the frames that already have bad damage wont get any worse ( i guess)

looking at Volt and electricity

i just use the Trowing stars as they deal serrated blade , multishot build and hornet strike + fire or infested damage

 

they  still work fine vs level 70 ancients (and Grinniers)
