Try switching server to North America region in the option, I was playing on the Asia server and it's pretty much dead game, until I switched to NA.

Wisp is relative easy to grind and there are always PUB group going on, just check the recruit chat. I would spend the money in getting Ash, Nidus or Octatvia. Ash's part take forever to collect, For Nidus and Octivia, you need to do certain mission over and over and over again.

This, but replace Ash with Khora. I managed to get all Ash parts from the manics summoned by Tyl when farming for Equinox.

Same for me. The drone got stuck 3 out of 5 times I did the operation, with one of the successful run the drone almost getting stuck too but managed to resume advancing after a minute or so.

I'll just ignore the event until near the end if it's not getting fixed.
