  1. Buff Miasma's range and duration (and maybe power efficiency), reduce the damage so that it doesn't become a spam nuke again, and add effects such as:

    -Give corrosive proc that removes a fixed amount of armor per tick (10% of initial armor, for example)

    -Have Miasma buff toxin and viral damage, instead of the other way around (enemies gain toxin/viral damage vulnerability equivalent to % of health lost)

    -Give stagger chance per second (50 or 75% per tick at max rank)

    -Considering the enemies probably have corrosive/caustic material in their eyes and/or sensors, shouldn't at least a couple of them get blinded?

  2. Summary:  Saryn is perfectly fine.

     

    Read my thread on it if you want a further explanation, but to put it simply, Try using Spores. Using Spores right completely obliterates Miasma in terms of strength.

    Spores are godlike, true, but that doesn't excuse the rest of her kit being lacklustre. This update was supposed to stop her from being a one-button frame, in case you hadn't noticed.

  3. Chinaframes are literally characters turned warframes, no common theme to follow, they are literally designed after their name. What makes people upset is the unoriginality that comes from DE not even trying to at the very least make it seem like the powers have any relation to each other, literally just slapping together comepletely different and unrelated powers and calling it a day.

     

    But you could say the same for lots of frames. Ash, for instance, has an infinite supply of shuriken, invisiblity and/or some sort of smoke generation, and teleportation. Literally the only difference is that he's based on an archetype rather than a specific character. Wukong could even be said to have a more consistent theme, since his 1,2, and maybe 4 could all be attributed to some sort of psychokinesis or ki manipulation. Rhino is even worse, his abilities have no unifying theme beyond MANLINESS: he has some sort of supernatural strength or speed, matter manipulation, whatever roar is, maybe limited time control, and an imposing codpiece.

     

    By the way, a lot of people in this thread seem to be talking about Nezha's abilities, I thought we didn't have any idea what they are.

  4. A few further changes I would suggest:

     

    * Enemies infected by spore have a chance to panic (as with fire procs).

     

    * Molt scales with defensive mods.

     

    * Toxic lash needs at least some of its defensive potential separated from blocking. It also has an extremely high energy cost for what it does.

     

    * Miasma: reduce damage bonus from toxic and viral procs to around 25%. Massively increase duration (e.g. 6/7/9/12 seconds). Add some sort of cc or damage mitigation, such as a slow or reduced enemy accuracy.

     

     

    I painted him white and gold and ran around pretneding to be Primed Disappointment for a while.

     

    I gave mine an incredibly purple cape and called him Lord Cadbury.

  5. So the general feeling among a pretty large section of the forum is that the saryn rework is lacklustre. She's already got a couple of buffs in the new hotfix, just a couple of days after release. If you recall, atlas was released in a pretty sorry state as well, and buffed up to his current state pretty quickly.

     

    My question is: Do you think this is the result of DE having become more cautious about releasing OP content? It would be understandable given how much bile they get showered with whenever something broken gets nerfed?

  6. While I wish high level gameplay didn't revolve around massive cc abilities so much, there's no reason to nerf just one. Prism is no more broken than Molecular prime for instance.

     

    Never nerf, never buff. Only balance

     

    Could you explain how to balance without ever changing anything in any way?

  7. I'm gonna say seekers. The latchers which are their one distinguishing feature are so weak even the squishiest frame can laugh them off, while they more or less function as ballistas that also look just like everyone else and don't even have the good grace to go to pieces and miss all the time up close. And they have a bloody kraken of all things, I don't know what the hell kind of blasphemous super-mods they have on that thing.

     

    Also all door traps, especially grineer ones. Who thought a fast-paced action game needed something to force players to pause before walking through every doorway?

  8. Just rewatched all the crossing snakes combos on the wiki, it's definitely none of them. He tosses the left-hand axe into the air under his right arm, it starts at 0:20 in the video and it's in slow motion so it's easy to see.

     

    Could still be wishful thinking of course, but I'm fairly sure.

  9. Don't know if I'm the first to notice this (or make a topic, although I can't see one), but in the last clip in the basolk preview volt seems to use an attack that I'm fairly sure is not is either dual sword stance, where he throws one axe into the air behind him and catches it.

  10. I have them on my excalibur (prime), nyx (prime), saryn, trinity and volt. I'll probably still get the legendary trinity skin, haven't decided about saryn.

     

    I wish it fit better on nyx prime, it misses out this big section of her chest and doesn't look quite right.

  11. I think Saryn is suffering from a bit of an identity crisis. She's not sure if she's supposed to be a DoT frame or a melee frame, but this rework seems to be trying to make her into both at once, which as a lot of people are pointing out, is just not likely to be viable in a game as fast paced and deadly as Warframe.

     

    If she wants to be a DoT frame (which I would prefer), contagion (should be venom!) should be replaced or heavily reworked so it doesn't force her into melee.

     

    If she wants to be a melee frame, venom (should be contagion!) needs a look to give it more short term usefulness, and she needs some cc or damage mitigation, or at least a buff to her defensive stats.

     

     


    both Decoy and Molt attract attention very reliably. very few Players use any strategy when placing them however, nor do they understand how to make Enemies pay attention to what they want them to pay attention to.

    if you place your Decoy Abilities in locations which will force Enemies to pay attention to areas away from the Players and move from their positions to more favorable ones for Players, your Decoy Abilities are very effective.

    if a Decoy Ability is being destroyed after just a couple seconds, place them better. there's little to no reason why a Decoy Ability shouldn't almost always last it's full Duration.

     

    Molt is not decoy, saryn is not loki. Loki's kit doesn't encourage him to charge into groups of armed enemies while visible, getting shot with bombard rockets where his face would be if tenno had faces, saryn's does. Molt needs to be viable to cast as a panic button, which currently it is not.

  12. I see people talk about the torid, but I don't think I've ever seen it used. I have a ton of radiation on mine, I call the the pocket nyx.

     

    I bought twin gremlins with my founder plat, so I've always had a soft spot for them.

     

    Embolist is a ton of fun, although it does kinda suck.

     

    Don't see many whips around.

  13. Why are people saying you HAVE to use 1,2,3 and 4 at once to be useful? I didn't get that impression. Its not like they said you'll do less damage.

     

    People are worried that miasma won't do enough damage to be useful unless you run through the full combo. Obviously we don't actually know, but the way literally all her abilities are designed to feed into miasma in some way does look worryingly like she's being turned into a one trick pony.

     

    Edit: I'm quite interested to see how the bonus damage from molt works out. Do you lose it all if you recast molt or does all damage taken go into a single pool? How long does it last if you don't have a molt out?
