  1. Just a quick update due to the overwhelming response to this thread. The store or whoever runs it seems to have brought back the more reasonably priced "USPS First-class Package International Service" option.

It might be possible to buy things there again.

  2. I don't know about Kubrow icons but the pic you've got seems reasonably clear to me.

Two people with a plus in a broken circle. So you've got or more people waiting (the broken circle evokes clocks and timers) to be added.

I think I actually agree with you in most cases but your prime example isn't a great choice.

  3. I don't like any of the rebranding DE's done recently from the bright website and forum theme to the poor-man's lotus symbol for marketing with all the dignity and history behind it as a tramp stamp.

That said, I am glad they've let us keep the old forum theme at least.

I guess it's not a properly set up CSS theme and since the web/marketing department thinks everyone should be using the new monstrosity they're not going to spend the resources converting the old style.

  4. There's been a HUGE increase since I last ordered from the merch store.

When I ordered an Excal statue AND t-shirt last year it cost $32.37usd to ship to Australia. High but not excessive.

I went to order a Rhino statue and it's saying shipping on this alone is $51.00usd!

What are we getting extra for this huge increase? Definitely makes me think twice about ordering. Any ideas, DE?

  5. It's a bit of a pipe dream but I'd like the movement system to IK-based at some point. Climbing over things, transitions to wallrunning, zip-line transitions could all be more fluid and natural using Inverse Kinematics as a base.

If the system went well it could be eventually used for melee combat as well.

As for what's *probably* going to happen? Among those things you've mentioned DE's hinted at better 'mantling' (hopping over stuff) and I'd love to be able to do that with some control and consistency :)

  6. I was sad to miss out on this one when it was last released. I have a personal rule of not buying things I can earn in-game so I had to pass it up while waiting for the Prime Accessories pack which never came (for that release).

I'm enjoying some of the other Prime Accessory packs since at least.

I've been hoping DE would bring it back as they've said they would in the past but it's been quite a while now.  Not even for the Prime Access anniversary, DE?

  7. Is there an alternate plan to make normal missions worth playing like Void without literally destroying the void considering you guys have put so much efforts into creating it?

Good question. I still enjoy the Void environment a lot and I'd hate not to be able to visit it after... whatever happens happens.

  8. As far as I'm concerned this thread has made things worse. I can't tell if DE are confused or lying.

A few Updates back RJ was given this new LoS requirement and it was poorly executed so it was reverted. Now it's given a new, weird 'awareness' requirement which no-one seems to know the exact mechanics of and/or doesn't work consistently.

This wouldn't be such a problem if a couple of things were made clear.

    1. Why this change was made.

    2. How 'awareness' works for a player character.

As of right now, however, I don't think DE's done the right thing. Not with balance but with honesty with the community.

edit. Please don't tell me "This is how the ability was originally intended to function." because you've said that before for a different method. It's not a good enough explanation.

  9. ... Why nerf Excalibur? Why nerf the posterboy to make him, legitimately, the worst frame in the game? And most of all... why lie about it? No? You "casually forgot to tell us"? It was "supposed to be this way the entire time"?

    Welp, that's not true.

You then proceeded to talk on the following Devstream about how you thought the original 15.2.0 nerf (which wasn't even as bad as this U16 one, since this one now is LoS and also only hits enemies on screen) was bad and a "knee-jerk reaction" (which it was and still is). Hell, Steve even went so far as to joke as if the nerf, 15.2.0, "never happened." And now you have stealth-nerfed it in the massively hyped and long-awaited major update, U16, hoping that the hype from everything would have us brush this away.

And then you hotfix it telling us that these changes were "intentional", and you apologize for "confusion" about it - and you even go so far as to say it was "was never intended to push through terrain."

Way to go back on your words and pretend the massive outrage and reversions that follow the previous changes never happened. Way to come off as untrustworthy, and unreliable to your well paying and helpful customers and beta testers, even though we know (or knew/largely hoped) that that is untrue. ...

This is true and really disturbing. I'm desperately hoping it's just a mistake and not also a blatant lie.

  10. Yet the only choice we have is to get information from the vocal minority because the silent majority is just that...silent.

Now I'm not saying that DE should make sweeping changes just because the vocal minority has a common opinion.

However, it's not exactly logical to dismiss forum opinions just because it's from the vocal minority.

The trick is for them to combine the information from the forums with other sources like the metrics they have access to and some well applied common sense.

Judging by their past successes I'm assuming they're doing that. Well, hoping anyway.

want everyone to discuss it but the hyperbole isn't conducive to a discussion. Do you think people could voice their opinions without announcing the apocalypse at the same time?

Sorry for the rhetorical questions :p

  11. Everyone keeps saying "vocal minority" and expect that to explain why we dislike chroma. Do you know how many people dislike chroma and are not saying anything? Do you know how many people on the forums have stated they disliked the frame? How does it compare when stacked against people that somehow like that goddamn walking meatslab?

The forum itself is a minority so any subset of the forum is also. I don't know what the majority of people think but neither do the people whining about the death of Warframe because one 'frame doesn't look the way they want.

At first glance Chroma's not my favourite design but he's hardly been shown properly. I'll wait till I get hot n heavy with him ingame before I make my mind up.

This just reminds me of the fervour with which the 'majority' (also shown in exceedingly biased polls) objected to Nova's longer than average neck. The overreactions are ridiculous. Every time. DE's shown how to deal with this in the past though.

At least the commotion's good for a laugh but I don't envy the mods (good job so far guys!).

  12. Hahaha

I didn't think of this but I should've known there'd be fabricated drama regardless of what DE revealed. How typical of the vocal minority that I'd come back to the forum expecting some excited discussion about the reveals and instead find complaining.

Thanks for the laugh, those who are abjectly distressed at Chroma. Thanks for proving there's some reasoning left to humanity, all others.

I'll go back to enjoying all the goodies DE let out of the bag over the weekend. Mmmmm, dragons and sentients...
