Oh nice thought. I love pangolins but I wouldn't have tied these together.

Excalibutt.
Clearly it's Excalibutt.

You've got my vote, and my Scindo!
Some good ideas I hope DE can run with there.
Maybe once the Syndicates have started carving out their own little kingdoms around the place after the invasion happens you could get reinforcements from whichever group hold the nearest outpost.

And 1-shot to kill the sentinel after wave 20.
Mine lasts till about wave 40. Though my sweeper isn't anywhere near this level.

They basically work like water surface tension. Lots of things float/bounce-off of the surface of water, but if something big enough hits it, it goes through.
Nice explanation. In 321agemo's example then some of the debris would bounce off (or vaporise) but larger or heavier pieces would still drop through.

This thread is amazing!
Great work, Rydian :)

The thing at their feet is the Gammacor holster that should be on their hip.

Wow, well spotted.

Skana and Aklato are not painted good, but the Latron is absolutely dreadful.
Red lines and supposedly orokin writings are done awful as well.
As a high quality PVC figure collector i higly advise not to buy it
I agree the weapons were pretty poorly done but the paint job on my actual Excal was really good. Maybe I just got lucky?
For the price I thought it was fine overall but I hope whoever's making the statues steps it up.

I don't think you have any idea how game development works if you think Star Citizen is going slowly. The big publishers are *** their pants at the progress a crowd-funded game is making.
They're also taking a different model to traditional development by creating modules separately so that they can develop deeper features in parallel.
In 1 year they're showing the work a big publisher 'AAA' game would have ready in about 3.
Edit. I should say E:D is going a totally different direction in both development and gameplay. They might both be set in space but it's hard to compare them like-for-like.

Like I said, I think it's intended. The illusion forces you to be aware of your surroundings.
I'd actually be in favour of more hazardous environmental features like it. It's simple but still makes you think, changes the flow. These days when I encounter that tile I automatically copter or wallrun past the drop so it doesn't bother me but it does change my movement.
-
OMG YOU CAN TURN THAT OFF?
Thank you! That thing was really annoying. Had no idea it was a 'feature' :D
As long as it's an option that's fine though.
-
I'd like to play devil's advocate for a second and say that this design was intentionally 'unsafe'.
It's a nice little reminder to be aware of your surroundings and maybe use some improvised parkour where you don't have as much opportunity in a ship under normal circumstances.
The penalty for falling is so small so that's not really a problem.
I've also had fun pulling, pushing or knocking enemies into those sort of areas where it can't be done with railings everywhere.
-
I like it. Nice backstory concept too.

What about weapons that have 2-3 different stances?
In that case I'd give it the lowest rank stance with the same polarity as the weapon.
I'm not sure it's necessary to have the stances bundled but I have a lot of fun searching for rare mods and farming weapon parts so I never buy them off the market.
Dunno, I guess it's not a question for me because I'm not going to buy it with Pt anyway when I enjoy the process of making it myself.

Coatduck is probably right. The big publishers are so averse to playing nice with others it'd take a miracle for DE to wrangle another migration window. Even as short as the first ones were.
While I'm not a fan of the term 'impossible' it's so unlikely to happen that you might as well use it.
edit. If you wanna post your PC specs maybe there's a bottleneck that could be upgraded for a lot less than a new PC?

I support extending the event OR some sort of twist at the end for those who missed too many days at the beginning.
It's a strange way to run the event in that it's a much more time sensitive reward than previous ones. I hope DE have the time to react to some extent on the feedback they're getting about Eyes of Blight.
-
I'm pretty sad that despite being home for the last 5 days of the event I won't have a chance at 'completing' it for the rewards.
Gonna be the first event I've missed out on.
Is that it?

How is Booben formed?
Yes.
In a similar vein: How are Cephala formed?

I like this discussion.
I hadn't thought of using the Earth's geography to estimate a time period. I've been guessing based on cultural and technological changes.
Given the minimum 1 dark age(s) following the rise and fall of the Orokin Empire (including invasion by the Sentients) and the 'recovery' which has resulted in the Grineer Empire, Corpus etc. I've been thinking something like 10 - 15 thousand years from now.
There are hints at the age of things dating from the Orokin era. "Millennia old" sentient bioweapons for example (thank you, Lotus) but that only means the Technocyte Virus (TCV) was employed by the Orokin more than 2000 years ago.
On the geological side I think your estimate's probably on the money, D.art. But only if we don't count major artificial interference. If those images are of Northern hemisphere Winter then I'd hazard that global warming wasn't helped much by the war with the Sentients, fall of the Orokin and later the Grineer attempting to industrialise to combat the Orokin geneered jungle.
With the polar icecaps melted huge swathes of land would be underwater and coastlines would change significantly. As to the mostly missing continents, who knows what the Orokin, Sentients or both did that could've basically removed them?
Of course in a timespan up to 50 million years there could've been the hugely destructive pendulum swing after global warming, global cooling. Ice ages will do amazing things to the land.
With the places cultures seem to be in Warframe I'm still leaning towards less than 20 thousand years from now, probably closer to 10k, but there's a lot of food for thought here.
Thanks guys!
PS. please excuse drunken, morning after, new years rambling. Happy New Year from Aussieland!

Sounds good to me.
Not sure about the damage buff specifics. I'd leave the numbers to DE to figure out as they have all the stats.
I do like the rest of the 'effect beam' mechanics being translated to the Ignis though. I haven't used it in a long time and it'd be nice to see it upgraded in usefulness.

http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Flow
Most mods only use your base statistic when they modify your stats. Flow is taking your base energy (before levelling your 'frame) and increasing that by %150, then your extra energy is added from levels.
-
I've been expecting the regular Ballistica to get some tweaks at some point (basically since it was released) but it must've been pretty low down on the list.
I like your suggestions for giving some more flavour to the Red Veil weapon and hopefully they'll get a nice buff together in the near future since the Rakta version's come to put it back in the spotlight :)

I really like these ideas. Some are relatively subtle but could add a lot to the reward of using those powers.
I haven't got a Mesa to try out yet but they still sound like good ideas from what my mates have been telling me while shootin' stuff up!

Nice write-up, OP.
I wouldn't call Star Citizen vaporware myself as I tend to reserve that term for something that's been unreleased past a reasonably expected time. This Star citizen project seems to be progressing quickly and transparently unlike some of the other 'vaporware' projects around (or should that be not around?)
I like how you're separating the classical developer/player divide with what we have now. The models for creating art, packaging as entertainment and delivering to players have changed radically over the past few years. It'd be interesting to look at some timelines on when and how it happened. I guess Minecraft which you mentioned was possibly one of the more important factors in that movement.
Good point about some reasoning from PWE's point of view, tmtke. I wouldn't necessarily bet on it but it's an interesting possibility. Reputation is everything apparently.
edit. Dammit, phone! It's VAPORWARE not EVAPORATOR!
