  1. Railjack, as is, is a somewhat lackluster and limited experience while at the same time feeling like what warframes base game should be. Aside the host related bugs, it has the potential to really take the game to the next level especially as warframe enters its second decade. Including invasions in railjack would be more realistic than in the starchart, as well as connect railjack to the starchart in a more evident way. Having friendly fighter craft would add depth to the railjack fights that don’t exist as is. The crossfire style missions would fit equally as well as the allied missions if the invasion reward system is not compatiblE
  2. Sure. Because spending 100 endo on a flawed elemental damage mod is worse than A) not having them and B) buying the “essential” damage mod bundles, if the goal is to just have new players struggle with no direction. The real issue was never the investment, it’s the fact that there wasn’t any info on mods being flawed or the differences between flawed and standard *at all*. But if it was an informed decision, **with a tutorial/ visual and audible description** (which for the record, I qualified in the original post) people could choose to have access to literally >1/3 of the games damage mechanics, or they could say pass. as it is now, the new player experience is very not good. The mechanics aren’t getting more simple as the years go on. Try running a new account through sayas vigil *knowing how to play* and it’s bad. Just because at some point we all had to figure stuff out doesn’t mean it can’t or shouldn’t be improved. It’s significantly worse now than it was starting with rainbow builds whos mods all dropped in mercury.
  3. I also disagree on the codex its a relic that has never performed to the level it can because aside quests and Levarian it is a non-intuitive ui. If it got redone to resemble the aesthetics of the game markets or foundry/mods more, but it’s still just better to stick tutorials in the game with some kind of attention grabbing voice line. If Varzia did the status/armor tutorial (which fits lore as a Dax) and had the flawed mods which she could verbally describe what flawed is, versus just a dumpster in iron wake Lastly: I’d encourage you to glance at the flawed cold damage for example when filling small amounts of mod space. It’s not all garbage
  4. Trade lock is mr2 so quite literally galvanized mods are achievable if so desired with platinum before leaving earth. the only elemental mods you receive in vors prize are heated charge and convulsion, (which especially without a tutorial on status, sets players up for worse performance than either individually as they apply to corpus and grineer) But you’re not considering newer players (mr1-5ish) joining Q&A and asking how to do stuff and seeing level cap builds and buying stuff based on that when they are also referred to market and trade chat. Being careful to avoid offense here, but Im not gunna lie, it does seem like a large part of the forums is entirely against making the new player experience more understandable and in favor of requiring brute force learning of game mechanics just because that’s how they did it? at MR 29 I’m having new clan members who struggle through the entry content because mod mechanics aren’t explained in any kind of depth, but that my clan is centered on teaching the game, we see people hit steel path in about a month or two of normal progression. Playing through the new player experience again shows you 1) that help is not given to you in the tutorial which basically teaches only controls 2)other new players *struggle*
  5. I miswrote 🤌🏼 I was trying to get off hek for this post and back to flawed mod location being at Iron wake and is not unlocked until the chains of harrow
  6. Notice here people, that I’m not asking for SP to be MR5 notice I’m not complaining about sorties or side quests notice the point of this post is flawed mod location exclusively.
  7. You do not read, but you commented the same nonsense twice. So back to the topic of this post being Flawed Mods and not having trolls derail off one comment
  8. Alright then 🥴 the 10 years worth of experience required to speedrun like this (as it is not a recommended strategy, I don’t think people SHOULD do this as normal) just doesn’t count I guess. But I’m lost as to why people think MR5 for hek makes any sense. rephrase: if Teshin, after all nodes were complete, required MR5 to open steel path **that makes sense** but for Vay hek, who you could otherwise ignore and progress through the latest story content, has an out of place lock. Do you know what the definition of arbitrary is? also it’s not possible, I think, to reach steel path in 48 hours. Aside the quests I still had to progress through the star chart as intended, and the full star chart would be required for sp I’m also not saying SP shouldn’t be MR5 locked. I’m saying Hek should not. forum people don’t read?
  9. Kinda odd that it’s MR5 if that’s the case. Which is back to it being arbitrary and hek? You’re telling me it’s absolutely important that Hek remain locked behind MR5 as a minimum requirement for SP access. im not saying it’s how people should play the game, but it is a possibility, and it’s very odd to otherwise have access to all progression… except hek? am I crazy?
  10. The idea being at MR2 you can trade for mods, so $25 worth of plat especially on a discount will go along way. (I specifically went with radiated reload, critical delay and hunter munitions because they are cheap, saved the rest for voidrig) grab Braton lato Skana, max everything at Lith earth, proceed until mr2 with diriga after a taxi to void for 1 argon. And touch nothing else, feed all my endo into the select mods I knew I would use, and carve the most efficient paths through the starchart knocking out all the quests you can. main quest line was unlocked from mastery rank, so things like Nataruk, skiajati/sun and moon, grimoire have no mastery requirement. paracesis oddly does, while it is used in the quests you lose it and regain as a blueprint with a MR10 req Optional: Cetus is the first standing players get, and at rank 3 you get manifold bond for diriga as well as vargeet 2 jai link which is one of the better crit ones, zaws also have no mastery requirement and you can opt to start basically with a nikana prime. I stuck with Skana until whispers though.
  11. You’re misunderstanding. I have the ability to rank up mastery but and locking to MR 2 as a point to limit weapons and riven mods. I’m doing this as a trial to show people the game is not impossibly hard and that you can essentially walk through it if you take the time to learn mechanics. mr 5 for hek is arbitrary since mainline quests have had mastery removed. **no other boss is mastery locked afaik. Have completed most of the starchart and all mainline quests but angels of zariman (building a 123 amp with mr2 standing caps) just hek. It’s an arbitrary limit
  12. As a counter point, the origin system is, to an extreme, not difficult. Just to make the point I was attempting to get through the quests and SP at MR2, using excal Braton Lato Skana built for crit viral slash with basic mods (and critical delay) and it EASILY clears all the way to The New War where Nataruk scales into Steel Path. I did this in 2 weeks with a purchased voidrig only. vay hek is locked to mr5 and I think that’s the only thing stopping me. The solo missions really aren’t that bad especially if you build to each faction the missions will be 5 minutes or so each, but it is a matter of doing it
  13. I’ve so far been able to complete through whispers in the walls in the mainline at MR2 as far as I can tell, nataruk grimoire zaw is MR0 META, is definitely handy enough to beat Vay hek. the mr5 requirement is an arbitrary limitation, NOT specifically because the quest mastery has been removed. I was able to progress up to the new war with Braton lato skana built for slash viral and crit with basic mods. it’s still not an issue to opt for them, but difference in scaling between Braton and nataruk speaks for itself. im guess I’ll just finish everything else and wait on hek to be lowered or quit my attempt, and just call it MR5 as the minimum. But it could be MR2 or removed completely to the same effect as mr5 as it’s just an arbitrary limit.
