  1. Getting

    • Nightwave standing
    • Nightwave credits

upon his defeat does sound good.

I also don't really understand DE's fetish of putting trash mods (esp. Heat mods) in almost everything.

The Wolf could be dropping Quick Thinking, Healing Return, Condition Overload, Rare stances or even more Umbral mods, so defeating him would feel rewarding even if you don't get the Sledge's part. But instead 6/8 of his mod drop entries are below trash-tier:

    1. Eleventh Storm 15.28%
    2. Fever Strike 15.28%
    3. Molten Impact 15.28%
    4. North Wind 15.28%
    5. Shocking Touch 15.28%
    6. Spinning Needle 15.28%
    7. Target Acquired 4.17%
    8. Tempo Royale 4.17%

It's not even a reward, it's an insult, especially with a 35% drop chance for one of the four parts to drop (not even a 50% chance with 12.5% per part):

    • Wolf Sledge Blueprint 11.28%
    • Wolf Sledge Handle 38.72%
    • Wolf Sledge Head 38.72%
    • Wolf Sledge Motor 11.28%

Depending on your gear, players in general and circumstances it may take up to 15, or even 30 minutes to take him down. And for what? A 65% chance to get nothing but Molten Impact?

The problem also existis in Corpus tilesets

Happened to me on Jupiter. I know it's about to get reworked, but until then... The tile is on the left (pic for reference):

    DA1v9jY.png

Got locked in the tile from both ways. That was fun :clem:

  3. Griefing? Mmm... I dunno.

Greed or selfishness? It sure is.

    And yet it still depends...

If someone's using a highly-efficient warframe/weapon with the intention to speed up the mission, say, Defense, or has a big range for nuke abilities. It's all good. Most of them require some kind of work and time, so you won't finish the mission with 0-1% of kills. To me, even Saryn or Volt are OK, since they still give you a window to kill mobs. It's not like you could kill those mobs behind the wall, in other tile, simply because you had no idea they were there until XP numbers popped up.

Now, however, if someone's using a highly-efficient warframe/weapon with the intention to get as many kills as possible in coop or just to annoy you, then we have a problem.

If you're looking for a good example, just try to pug any Survival mission with a$$-skaters and watch them annihilating everything before you can press LMB (I do this observation pretty often when conditions are met).

    What next?

Split from the group, find a comfy tile and start having fun. Doesn't matter how good spawn rate is. The next thing you will see on the minimap is how said a$$-skaters are coming to your position.

    To collect loot, you say?
Nope, they will come to you and start mow down everyone and everything around you, even mobs you're currently meleeing in the middle of a big, 50x50 meters isolated room until there's no one to kill. And then they leave.

    To put it simple:

You're good as long as you don't intentionally (try to) screw over squadmates' fun.

It goes both ways.  While vets may unintentionally grief newer player with there experience and knowledge, new players tend to grief vets with ther ignorance and inexperience.  Such as hanging back in a rescue sortie letting your objective die while the 3 other teammates are 300 meters away trying to extract with no chance to revive him.  All for a few more kills.

    1 hour ago, Lost_Cartographer said:

Pretty much this.  DE let it get this bad because they don't want to reign it in, but it's also why ability-cancelling units will never be taken out of the game either - it's literally the only defense our enemies have that gives them a chance to do anything.

Kill hogging isn't trolling per-se, but depending on what you're doing, it can make something boring for the rest of the team.  Like onslought, any endless really, slaughter away, that's the freaking point.  They can hobble off in the opposite direction if they're itching to fight something.  If you're running an exterminate, dude... just gun everything down, you only need to wipe out ~120 guys on average and there are probably 4 of you.  If you're running low level nodes/low level fissures and see a bunch of low MR guys, maybe tone back on the room wipes and let them participate in the killing, bringing out your reset button when the game decides to just swamp your team in a fireworks finale of new arrivals and they need a breather.  If a bunch of guys in are low ranked equipment however, they'll probably appreciate you feeding exp to the crap they don't want to use either because it's currently unmodded hot garbage or because they have no interest in the weapon what-so-ever and just want the mastery rank.

It's really just about reading the room and being considerate of others.  You can generally expect MOST people online to just ignore everything between the start, the objective, and extraction because the game is only fun when you get a reward (apparently,) but sometimes some cells do prefer to take it slow.  And if you really have to do a mission as fast as possible and wipe entire rooms with as little effort as possible... there's always solo.  I mean, why do you need a team if you can effortlessly delete everything without even seeing it anyway?

    Well said, guys

    Hey Tenno,

Peacemaker is already a strong ability and the use of Arcane Velocity simply turned that up to 11. While this change was not intended, after some internal back and forth we have made the decision to keep this change. We feel that the two combined makes the already top tier Peacemaker over the top. It still works with Peacemaker, Peacemaker simply cannot trigger it.

We will be editing the patch notes to reflect this.

What Kherae said seems to be true.  Was messing around with Excalibur's exalted blade and couldn't get it to proc arcane ultimatum, I can't get Ivara's Artemis bow to proc arcane rage anymore. You have to now turn off your exalted weapon, proc the arcane with normal weapons and then turn it back on, every single time you want the arcane to proc. Every exalted weapon user who uses arcanes to buff their weapon got affected by this change.

That's a bit exaggerating, but since an already niche Arcanes hits the rock bottom... How about we just split all the existing Arcanes into different classes at this point and give a weapon-dedicated Arcane slot (one for all three weapon classes), eh?

    Plains of Eidolon Changes:
    - With Bounties now available out in the Plains, Incursions have been removed. These were meant to give players something optional to do as they spend their time in the Plains, but since Bounties can be activated on command, they no longer serve a purpose.

I don't know... There are no any kind of random encounters (not counting enemy spawns of course) in Warframe's landscapes, so removing Incursions feels like a nail in the coffin. A better solution would've been introducing more types of missions or simply exclusive incursion ones to both landscapes:

    • Mobile Interception & Rescue: intercept radio transmission (follow the drones), locate and raid: A. Coprus' convoy and steal resources (toroids!) and credits; B. Grineer's convoy and resuce captured Ostronians,
    • Survival: pick the Corpus / Grineer's attention and keep them distracted (wreck havoc to keep them on high alert) while some agents of SU / Cetus do their thing,
    • Hijack: steal their vehicles: Ogmas, Dargyns, Coildrives, Rovers etc. and deliver them to hideouts,
    • Hijack & Mobile Defense: steal their cargo vehicles and deliver as much of resources they carry as you can to hideouts / captured bases: getting damaged reduces the amount of resources, and the more of them you deliver, the higher / better reward,
    • Assault & Sabotage: hack into their planetary defense mainframe and put the Corpus / Grineer ships on the targets list,
    • Rescue & Exterminate: rescue a hostage and lead him to a hideout just for him to turn out to be a double agent, then repel the reinforcements,
    • Excavation: hack into the mining camp's mainframe and download the data, then pinpoint the location, deploy your excavator and start extracting resources so they won't fall into enemy's hands,
    • Sabotage: sneak into enemy's camp / base undetected, request their heavy reinforcements drop, then hack into their perimeter defense and override it to compromise IFF, leave that camp undetected and watch how their reinforcements will be greeted with their own defense weaponry, thus demoralizing ground forces.
    • Rescue#2: locate and rescue poor NPC from wildlife asap (let kubrodon to live up to his name),

You could also put some NPCs there, too. SU / Ostron fishermen, hunters, citizens, The Perrin's Sequence's / Steel Meridian's occasional visits and patrols (still waiting for my personal Dargyn with Steel Meridian markings ) minding their own business. No one says it's easy (if possible at all), but this will sure help the landscape alot to feel alive.

  6. I like it, even though I built one around look and not stats, and getting a Riven for it helped a lot. Still... what hurts me more (and probably the weapon, too) it's beam range - 22 (min) - 41 (max) meters. And unless they fixed it, Gaze can't utilize «Ruinous Extension» which is just one big OOF.

  7. Reminds me of this one old topic (which I took way too literally back then, haha):

I don't think that «true» ADS in the current game's flow will be well-accepted and implemented:

    1. switching from 3rd person to 1st person's ISs with high mobility is gonna be an issue,
    2. FoV settings' interaction with mods changing WF's version of «ADS» is definitely gonna be an issue - just smile and say «Riveeeen!», for example EFT:
      Spoiler

      4BUbF6D.gif

      50 FoV:

      7DvLDiF.jpg

      75 FoV:

      7SxRcTg.jpg

    3. guns will need either 2 models (3rd person/1st person) or just one high-poly model, so it wouldn't look awful when aiming down the sights,
    4. some guns don't have ISs and some guns, in fact, will even obstruct the view if there would've been ADS mechanics: Soma Prime, Akstiletto, Burston, Kraken, Gorgon, Zenith, Opticor etc.

These are the ones that came to my mind.

Optional? Sounds good, but something tells me it's still time-consuming to implement such feature, because you still have to address listed issues 🤔

  8. Well, wikia says:

    Quote

Dashing through defense or mobile defense objective will grant them invincibility, but healing effect will work only if the object has started regenerating after not taking damage for a while. Extractors on excavation missions will be granted with both healing and invincibility effects, but the invincibility effect won't be shown on the UI due to a bug.

    • Cryopods in the Void and Derelict defense missions cannot be affected by Protective Dash, which might be a bug.

  9. Been saying that probably since Damage 2.0, and even harder since the dualstat mods introduction.

Pure status mods should be an elemental's counterpart - 11 en. points with D-polarity, 5 ranks and +90% at max, so it would be:

    +90% Elemental

    vs.

    +90% Status

    vs.

    +60/60% Elemental/Status

(offtopic: The same stuff could've actually saved DE from unnecessary brainstorming regarding nerfs and limitations, when they introduced Corrupted mods, while they could just buff the main mods up to 11en. points with +45% value for Dur, Str, Rng, Eff. You don't have to invent a wheel from scratch, but they actually did...)

Not all mods are meant to be optimized for endgame content

Uh huh, the only difference is that said mods aren't even worth it to be used by the beginners in the first place. The only value they probably have is their Endo.

A weapon with 15% status, with +10% status mod being applied, results in 16.5% status.

A weapon with 25% status, with +10% status mod being applied, results in 27.5% status.

There's actually a good amount of other mods you can use in place of pure status mods (needless to say how good PoE and Vallis set mods take the role and they). Even +30% IPS/ammo is a better choice.

Besides, those mods were there long before the dualstat mods. You can't just forget about those and say «Ah, well, no, we totally didn't forget about those, no-no. Those are just for the beginners!»

I hope you dont do that when you were the one being rad proc'd. Because that makes a big difference. IMO it's always the fault of the rad proc'd person.

Well, I'm not perfect, either. I have no control over my pets/sentinel (other than running away as fast as possible) when I get rad-procced, but I do transference out to prevent myself from using abilities and weapons as well as dashing through nearby allies to grant them invulnerability when I can #VazarinForLife

I despise intentionally shooting anyone in public matches (unless playing with friends, heh).

  11. Get downed once by friendly fire -- tell the others to watch their fire (it's not that hard to ignore a big red icon as well as radiation-specific SFX and VFX, unless, of course; you're Mesa where you will kill stuff before getting visuals/hearing sfx).

Get downed by friendly fire once again -- warn them that if they won't stop you won't hesitate to open fire.

Get downed again -- disengage, get a rad proc, find the friendly fire cause and eliminate it with your warframe/specter/sentinel/pet/operator. And then again, if neccessary.

Some people have issues with understanding, so let them learn it the hard way.

  12. It's good as long as you don't fight the Grineer with that Riven, 'cause Bane mods affect your overall damage (after all mods), in other words no matter what you will always deal ~45% less damage. Other than that, add. elemental damage and Tonbo's 25% Status with wide range will make a good use of Condition Overload against other factions.

    • Terra Shield Osprey
    • Terra Overtaker

The first one becomes a pain in the ass to find at high level, when it gives everyone in range a null-bubble. Should've been named Terra Shield Oprahey...

And the other one is a friggin' terminator that can knockdown lock you if you're unlucky: I had 5 of his Convectrix blasts to drop me on the floor after starting to recover. In a row. I barely survived it at T5 levels.

    Special mention:

About half the unique Terra proxies (like Hyenas, Raknoids, Jackal) when you play Nyx: Mind Control either doesn't work at all on them or it lasts about 5-10 seconds. While Nekros can even summon those.

    767.png_original

They are annoying, for this very reason.

  13. It's bugged and it's been that way for at least 2 months:

    Spoiler

I guess if you balance the weapon so hard that barely anyone uses it after, it then makes a good excuse to roll your eyes and sit in the spreading fire thinking this is fine.

P.s. all they had to do is raising the MR and crafting requirements for the gun (just a reminder that Tonkor is a market weapon while Ogris is a clan-tech one and costed more than Tonkor to craft on top of being a very inferior weapon before the weapons rebalance) without touching its stats (mechanics change would work). Instead, they ended up overnerfing it to the ground

  14. Unfortunately, that's how you get even more powercreep. You gotta balance between things you want and need. There are plenty ways to maintain energy pool besides drops and crates/lockers:

Mods: Equilibrium, Rage, Hunter Adrenaline, Energy Generator, Sharpshooter, syndicate weapon augments,

    Aura: Energy Siphon

    Arcanes: Arcane Energize

    Consumables: Team Energy Restores

    Abilities (ironically)

If it wasn't for Corrupted mods, Continuity, Intensify and Streamline could use Stretch's treatment and vice versa: +45% Strength/Duration/Efficiency at the cost of 11 en. points. But not anymore.

  15. The only problem with the Conclave I see is the lack of any good matchmaking.

You want to have some fun in Annihilation? You want to get used to Conclave mechanics? It would be a shame if someone with KD of 4.0 would storm in.

There's little to no fun when said PvP vet with KD of 4.0 steamrolls everyone else in the match. They can defend themselves any way they want, but the truth is, in such scenario, no one's having fun but the veterans, and the results are pretty predictable: players either start accusing vets for hacks/cheats/S#&$bucketing etc. or they just leave and never come back leaving other players and newcomers at their mercy. And what else this gives us? It gives us a reality where Conclave vets keep preying on the weak.

To put it simple and short:

    1. Veterans keep dominating
    2. Players below vet's experience get steamrolled
    3. The same players eventually get fed up and leave
    4. Veterans aren't going anywhere
    5. New players join Coinclave
    6. New players get simpley vaporized by Conclave veterans's look
    7. Feedback and complaints are happening across the forums/reddit/twitter/facebook etc.
    8. Players don't see any changes/attention to said problems
    9. Playes forget about Conclave's existence
    10. Veterans aren't going anywhere
    11. People are wondering why Conclave is bad

The fact that there are also Conclave tasks and challenges is not helping at all, it only fuels players' frustration.

The other moment: so-called Conclave toxicity.

In all fairness, most of the toxic stuff I've experienced in Conclave since it's 2.0 version comes from new players (at least for EU server before we got player-hosted servers, after that it was mostly from low-MR players). Sure there were all the kinds of MLGPROs, edgelords and just trolls, but they were like a 1% of total number of players. Meanwhile the new players were blaming everyone and everything for their failures refusing to learn about Conclave's features and mechanics, even when you were trying to help them explaining mechanics and tricks. It's Warframe, if you run on the ground with your gun not using any 'parkour' tricks while seeing that others do the opposite, and you still think it's just another third-person online shooter and it's not balanced, because you refuse to adapt... welp.

P.s. the idea of the Corpus vs. Grineer PvP was good and pretty popular. Until DE came up with Teshin and his stuff. It's hard to believe they will throw him and lore part out of the window to make old dreams come true.

  16. Kinda hard to read, but...

Firstly, the Zenith is more like a convertible DMR/LMG, than a convertible SR/Shotgun. Secondly, you shouldn't judge the weapon by its Rivens. Also, sniper rifles have zoom level and combo meter mechanics for even more damage, Zenith does not. Thirdly, Condor Dropships have Ferrite Armor, so you're actually dealing extra damage.

That being said, Zenith w/o rivens is perfectly balanced due to its mechanics, stats and ammo inefficiency:

    LMG:

    • High RoF
    • Ammo inefficient
    • No PT
    • Low crits
    • High status

    DMR:

    • Low RoF
    • Medium ammo efficiency (5 rounds per shot)
    • About 100k PT unless blocked by Impenetrable materials
    • High crits
    • Low status

Wait 'til you see Riven'd Kohms.

Note that it's not 100% confirmed what will be the next prime beside the gender (M, M, F, F). For example, Nova got primed before Trinity, Saryn and Banshee, who are all older frames than Nova.

There's really nothing to be surprised about shuffling originally 'planned' warframes with Nova, Valkyr and Mirage -- they are pretty popular (and were even more popular back then), and their time slot also takes place before X-mas and New Year. It made a perfect Grofit sense to switch original warframes with Nova, Valkyr and Mirage. I'm sceptical that Prime versions of Trinity and Banshee would make the same amount of cash that Primed Nova and Valkyr made, not even speaking of Zephyr instead of Mirage.

Mesa Prime, however, isn't going to be affected, because this time she's in her time slot this december (it's probably going to be Dec 18th, because none of the primed warframes came later than X-mas or on the same day yet. This will also be 84 days, the same number of days was between Nyx Prime and Nova Prime). On the other hand, if it wasn't her time slot (or she would be in a bad state), either she or Equinox would've been put in taking other frame's time slot. It's still speculation, so we'll see

  18. It does work, but way too inconsistent. I wonder if it has something to do with water textures' transparency, shaders or whatever it is.
