  1. After the Warframe Railjack Revised update, I can't access my tactical menu using the right d-pad as I've always done. I tried rebinding it and resetting to defaults and then rebinding it. None of these worked. I cannot access the tactical menu without using the ability menu. Additionally, the issue persists where I still cannot see the back of the ship on the tactical menu map when near the front of it. This updated UI made it worse as well.

Button to lock forward motion and allow me to aim my turrets at targets without turning the ship back and forth like a drunk driver.

The option of "Pilot Centered Crosshair" should be turned off if you desire something closer to this. Make sure it's the one associated with your control scheme. (Keyboard or Controller) It won't lock motion, but it will allow you to move the reticle of the ship gun instead of having to move the entire ship. I would love to see a lock motion feature combined with this setting. As it stands, the setting feels kind of useless; but a lock motion button would fix it.

  3. Currently we are unable to teleport around the ship while something is being repaired with "Anastasis". Would it be possible for that to be made possible? Additionally, when returning to the ship, there is often a delay in the railjack map updating or it may be all discombobulated in the way of fast travel points. I hope this can be improved upon!! ^_^

  4. I would like to propose a change to the current sigil system for obtaining daily syndicate standing. As it stands now, your standing gain is based on the sigil your current warframe is wearing. This often results in frustration when needing to swap sigils to gain different standing. Many people, especially when swapping an entire side, find it very frustrating to have to remove all the old sigils on their frames as to not accidentally revert any progress they've made thus far. An alternative to this system of ever-swapping sigils would be a "charm" system or "medallion" system. This would introduce a new customization to your warframe or weapons in the form of keychain-like "charms". It would be a new gear slot in your arsenal that is loadout specific and there could be a universal loadout option to avoid frustration. The keychain-like charms would attach to either you warframe, weapons, or both. These charms would be based on the syndicate that it represents and the tier that it's associated with. An example would be for Cephalon Suda: The lowest tier charm, received at rank 0, would be a small basic datum. The final tier, reciebed at rank 5, would be a small genius datum. Perhaps a whole new set of medallions could be added. The percent of affinity conversion for standing could stay the same relative to the tier the charm represents. (The genius datum would stay at 15%)  The current sigils can remain in the game as an alternative for standing for those who prefer it, or their standing capabilities could be removed to allow for use of multiple at a time. For the look on the warframe, the small chain could be on the waist of your frame or be unique to each frame. For the weapons, the charm could be next to your sugatra on your melee weapon or below the magazine for guns. I hope this is given some thought!! I know I'm not the only one frustrated with the sigil system.

Edit: Dunno why this was moved here. It WAS its own post. That's why it feels out of context.

Same here...smh I just want my plat back I also did some research and saw that this was done before... I am myself like to know how ,and why DE was able to allow this to happen again.....I spent a lot of plat on this riven and I don't feel that it is fair to be deceived and to be ripped off of the plat that we spent.... especially with what is going on around the world with people being laid off

This is why reading patch notes and keeping up with official content is important, and on the other hand, people not being toxic, selfish, no good thieves is also important. (But what can you do?) And this comes from the guy who was posting in region and trade chat for two days straight warning people about not buying the rivens. I know it's not fair: That's why I did it. People were saying only dumb players would buy them, and I disagree to an extent. It's more about being uninformed. If someone read the patch notes, however, and saw no mention of new rivens, then they were an idiot by buying one. They ignored the lack of ignorance: That's how I view idiocy. It's about being informed, but ignoring the information. I know I wasn't the only one in chat warning people, albeit others were less constant than me. I do feel bad for every person that did buy them. Shame on all those that sold them knowingly.

The only feedback I can give is that why you delivered something that wasn't even remotely similar to what you showed at tennocon.

In fact, the tennocon presentation was a fake simulation, that means you blatantly lied to us..... Your players.... The players who play the only game you have.... Yeah, not a good idea.

Same thing with liches, but that's another topic

Would you like to explain further on this? Maybe give some evidence?

  7. Hey, peeps I wanted to propose some railjack UI changes regarding the tactical menu due to some frustration I've dealt with myself. These concerns became more relevant with the release of Scarlet Spear.

    1. The tactical menu map centering itself on your current location in the railjack. Now I know this sounds trivial, but hear me out. After getting rank 10 in engineering, I've been loving it, but I've noticed I've been unable to repair the back of the ship when at the helm. Because the map centers on your location and it can only show so much, there are times that you can't see a part of the ship or its covered by the health bars of your 4th ally. This is very specifically a problem when I'm piloting when the cargo bay is clipped off the map, and with it, the ability to repair things that far back. I propose that the map of the railjack in the tactical menu not move with your location and instead stay locked in place. Obviously other maps due to sheer size would still need to move with you.

    2. The inability to access your railjack map without anyone being on board. With playing Scarlet Spear and everyone always being off board, I've noticed that Anastasis cannot be used to its fullest potential. Alongside this, it's impossible to know what is going on in the ship without anyone being there. When you are off board, you can view the ship map and repair things if you look at the map through someone else's perspective that is on board. If this is allowed, why can we not view the railjack map directly from our own tactical menu? It would allow much more use from Anastasis, especially if playing alone. My proposition here is there be a button you can press in your tactical menu that allows you to view your railjack map no matter where you are.

Thanks for reading!!! I hope DE sees this!!

  8. As I've played Scarlet Spear (Very fun btw), I've noticed how the bonus credits system for end of wave rewards seems very counterintuitive to supporting working together. While I do have concerns with the "farming" of bonus credits, this post has more to do with the process leading up to relay hopping. More specifically, this has to do with my concern about how it is calculated.

As it stands right now, your bonus reward is based on your highest score in either space or ground and multiplied by 2. That is what you recieve should the wave successfully be fended off. This system encourages people to run one or the other instead of "fill the gaps" as is encouraged by a community event. Wouldn't it be better to add the two highest scores of both your ground and space scores together and then multiply by 2 for the bonus? This would remove the discouragement to players of filling the gaps while still retaining their ability to get maximum bonus credits.

Naturally, this issue is only so prevalent due to "farming" of bonus credits where people relay hop once they get their 5k in one or the other. The result of this is people not filling in the gaps and instead just going to where they were before regardless of the need in one particular category. This behaviour is a detriment to everyone in the relay. If the bonus credits counted both ground and space contributions, it wouldn't be as discouraging to play a part in something bigger (AKA The entire point of a community event.)

  9. Any solution for my second problem?

It can be experienced when you pull up your tactical menu while piloting. If you then move to the midpoint in your ship and pull up the tactical menu, you'll see that there is more to the map than there was shown in the pilot seat. The cause is that the map is relative to your location. Due to that, I cannot repair things at the very back of my ship that is cut off when I'm piloting.

Well, I can't control the ship when the tactical menu is layered over everything. But yes, I have both Railjack control sticks in my Warframe's hands when opening it and looking at it (aka I don't have to leave the pilot seat to use it). I'll edit a screenshot in in a bit.

I have found the solution. For whatever reason (And I get the feeling it has to do with the changes before) the toggle railjack camera button in railjack controllers was the same as tactical menu. It seems that railjack controls take priority. I will edit my original post. My issue still persists with the tactical map of the ship cutting off if at the helm of the ship due to the map centering itself on my frame. Thank you for your help.

I just bound and tested it before I responded initially to make sure it works since I don't even use tactical avionics. It works. Only thing I can think of yet is that you might have to unbind and rebind it maybe like you had to when they changed the archwing blink. If that doesn't fix it I have no idea.

I had tried that and it didn't work. It just takes me to the side camera. That is how it works in pilot seat and turrets. Are you telling new you are able to view your tactical menu while in pilot seat controlling the ship and I am not? It works as it should when not in a turret, piloting, or in the forge.

On PS4 you have to bind the tactical menu directly to a button to be able to use it when controling the Railjack.

Options > Customize Controller at the top > stay on General > choose the button (left dpad is an okay one imo) > scroll down in the list until you find Tactical Menu

Yes. You must either use the preset L1+Left on D pad or bind it yourself. I have mine bound exactly the way you describe. I did that day one. However, the issue lies in the fact that when you are piloting, it instead switches to the side view of the ship. I've found no way to get around this.

  13. You use the tactical menu while piloting? If so, how? I have been unable to figure out any way to for the life of me. I don't recall any patch notes mentioning it either

What are you talking about with the tactical menu? I use it all the time soloing railjack. Or is this specific to scarlet spear?

  14. I want to preface with this: Thank you for the effort put into fixing Railjack bugs before Scarlet Spear. It is so much more playable than it was when it first came out. Now onto the actual post. As I've been playing Scarlet Spear, I've noticed a couple of things thato i personally would love to see incorporated or improved for Railjack missions.

1: The inability to use Tactical Avionics and view the tactical menu while piloting. The issue here is that when playing alone or in a squad with no one on mic, I cannot have a tactical avionic be used as needed. In Scarlet Spear, for example, I may want to use Flow Burn to speed along the mission, but because I'm piloting, I cannot. I have two options here. 1) I have to do it myself, which requires me to get out of the pilot seat and risk losing the satellite. OR 2) Have someone else do it. Unfortunately, unless I'm on mic, it takes even longer to type in chat than to do it myself. Either way I could lose the satélite and it just doesn't feel very streamline for being alone either.

    2. The map of the ship on the tactical menu not being centered and instead relative to your position. So, recently I've obtained Anastasis, the rank 10 engineering ability that allows me to repair on board issues remotely. This ability is handy indeed but I've run into an issue: If I'm up front, I cannot see any of the cargo bay area on the map, or part of it is covered by squad health indicator/join warp buttons. This removes my ability to take advantage of anastasis AND it prevents me from seeing where enemies are on the ship if either occur in the back of the ship. If the map was unmoving for just the railjack, it would allow for less frustrating moments like these. Of course, maps of enemy ships would still need to move because of their sheer size.

    Thanks for reading!!!

Edit: Problem one was resolved. It turned out that the "Railjack" controller bind for "Toggle Railjack Camera" happened to be the same as my "General" controller bind for "Tactical Menu". It most likely happened when the Archwing dodge/blink control bind fiasco happened.

We’ve Hotdropped a fix that addresses the generic Rifle Riven to remove the ability to roll/Trade a generic Rifle Riven.

Next steps will come in a near Hotfix!

Thank you, Megan. I really do appreciate how fast this has been resolved for the rifle rivens. Have exalted rivens been locked out of trading as well as being made unusable, as I've seen previously mentioned here? I've been posting in region and trade chat about them warning people not to lose their plat and telling those who thank me to spread the word. Is this necessary anymore for the exalted rivens? A big thank you to y'all at DE for not just waiting for the future patch to fix it and instead putting a lock on it ASAP. These small things matter to protect people from being exploited. I know this also may be asking too much, but is there a way to run a script that could search through your backlog of trade logs  (If you have any) and look for these riven trades? At that point, could another script be written to refund plat to those affected. I feel terribly for those that have lost thousands of plat, bought or earned. It's why I've been trying to help actually. I'd hate to lose my play like that.

  16. Figured I'd make a post considering the recent UI changes to relics/trading screen and recent issues I've not had the will to speak about. I know DE often listens to their community which is why I feel that I can say this and perhaps it may be read. Keep in mind this comes from someone who does have vision impairments.

As The Jovian Concord update has come out the implementation of the UI for relics when trading has been applied to the general void relic screen. Personally for me looking at the relic trading screen had always been difficult once it was changed due to the way my eyes react to repetitious images, almost like looking through a metal fence. My eyes freak out and it hurts to look at the screen. I may not be the only one here. Another issue I had forgotten to bring up a while back is that, in The Orb Vallis, when you are mining you may stumble across ores that are blue in snowy covered rocks. These ores are quite difficult to see and the blue dots even harder, but personally the biggest issue is the fact that the "Safe zones" of heat when mining are almost impossible to see because they themselves are white on a white background.

A solution for the first problem could be an option for UIs to look like they did before the changes started, perhaps in a checklist fashion. Like for example, I can check all the UIs I want to look like the legacy UIs and the rest are the updated ones. The second problem with the "Safe zones" is perhaps change the color of the safe zones marker from white to something that can be seen regardless of background in the Orb Vallis. I am not quite sure but I figure the feedback can help you regardless for I cannot be the only one with these isssues.

One last thing is that I am hoping that more colorblind implementations will be added for those that are colorblind. The UI themes that were added is a step in the right direction and I hope that the support is continued.

Thank you for reading and keep up the great work, DE!

If anyone else has some vision issues relating to Warframe please feel free to share! Perhaps there may be some tips/tricks that can be spread to help with some vision related issues.
