Currently the Duviri Paradox is fine but nothing great. How can we make it great again?
I think the most disliked part is when a player doesn't invest into most warframes and weapons, they feel underpowered especially in steel path.
No I am NOT going to suggest remove the randomness, while having a fixed loadout with random buffs can be a great addition to the game, it doesn't make it feel UINIQUE.
My suggestion is, have an existing OR new Intrinsics tree do the following : Allow the player to manipulate void energy and MOD their loadout inside Duviri, EVEN THE WEAPONS AND FRAMES ARE NOT OWNED. Mod pool is identical to their owned mods. The Intrinsics tree can provide benifits like this as an example:
Level 1 : Able to MOD their loadout inside Duviri
Level 2 : Can use void formas, a special kind of forma then can only be used in Duviri, acts like "points" Tenno owns to forma their ENTIRE loadout. +3 to max void Formas.
Level 3: +3 to max void formas
Level 4 : Exilus slots for NOT OWNED Secondary weapons and Primary weapons are unlocked.
Level 5 : +3 to max void formas
Level 6 : Exilus slots for NOT OWNED melee weapons are unlocked. (Tennokai)
Level 7 : +3 to max void formas
Level 8 : Arcane Slots for NOT OWNED weapons and warframes are unlocked. Arcane pool is identical to their owned arcanes
Level 9 : +3 to max void formas. Void formas now able to forma the UMBRA Polarity.
Level 10 : +3 to max void formas. Unowned advance variants of warframes and weapons will have a 25% chance to spawn.
(Lets say you only have baruuk but not baruuk prime, now when baruuk is rolled it has a 25% chance to be a new baruuk prime without your old baruuk loadouts)
So what is the benifits of owning a powerful weapon or warframe now? They are current loadout and formas will be kept and doesn't count towards void forma limits. For example:
If you pick a well modded warframe, and your weapons are not owned or poorly modded. You can invest all void formas into those, give you a better freedom to use powerful high cost mods. Also as Exalted weapons exist so 15 void formas won't be enough for everything so you will have to pick and choose.
Why I suggest this is, it alters the CHALLENGE of Duviri from 'OWNING a lot of power items' to 'HOW GOOD you are using the items given to you', which is also the fun zone of warframe : Customizing your loadouts like chemistry. On top of that, Duviri now acts as an excellent REAL combat testing grounds for builds and thoughts! And if players somehow build a power loadout, they will want to recreate those outside of Duviri. It effectively motivates the players to try out MORE weapons and frames then don't own already, pushing them out of the comfort zone in a FUN and ENGAGING way.
In short, DE will change from "you play too little warframe and own too little things, duviri will kill you" to "you play too little warframe and LEARN too little things, duviri will kill you".
The first one is rather insulting and "just invest more time and plat you lazy tenno", while the other one is "learn the systems, know HOW to play warframe".
Duviri is great by concept and I do believe DE wants to let new players have experience on things they don't own. This is why it is unlocked very early after Vor's Prize in my opinion. But as DE developers doesn't know their game well (hehe) and literally put the same build on every unowned weapons is just.... kinda discourging.
