This is actually a really good idea to cut down on all the need for the developers to stay late at work...to come in on an emergency change...to constantly say "I'm sorry" about all the little things that go wrong when new things are released.
Like you suggested long ago Clinton, a OTW, or test server that can be used to sample changes by volunteers from the general community would be the ideal solution to all these issues.
I think now with DE's success BOOM...and all the backing that is flowing in from the community and *cough* SONY *cough* I think that DE could manage to either rent additional server space for this type of project or perhaps if the numbers are starting to stagnate they may have the space currently on the servers in place.

I just got the news of your departure, and I have to say that I'm still working very hard to come to grips with the gravity of this situation.
The best way I can explain how I feel, if you can remember when they actually killed Superman in the comics...well this is like that but only without the other 5 Supermen they created afterwards.
In memory of your service I decided to stroll through our brief encounters, very memorable ones indeed.
I owe you a lot of thanks for being such a fair, considerate and experienced game moderator. You're experience with games and your ability to understand gamers and their needs (and conflicts) made you a SUPER moderator.
You always gave well thought out analytical reasoning behind any issue that would come up with sensible solutions that were balanced.
I can only imagine these are qualities that any game designer would want from their staff and from those who provide that invaluable resource that is game play feedback on a game in the beta phase.
So I shall commence with our short story.....
When I first met you Ceddy...you caught me breaking rules on my first forum post...that was way back in the day when I was attempting to drum up some buzz about this new clan I started called FLOW....you noticed I had posted the recruitment page in 2 places...and hit me with my very first WARNING post.
I still have that warning...and to this day it has reminded me that you said:
Later in our relationship I earned your approval...I made the recruitment thread right with the help of some tutors..and a therapist, my parole officer and lack of sleep. Comments and new members started to roll in and you said this....it was like the highlight of my entire life:
I have to admit....with the skyrocket of fun...and success I was noticing in the FLOW clan...I looked around and realized that we needed more diversity in our ranks. So in a bold move inspired by the hit movie Fatal Attraction and an evening of really trying to understand why Disney produces such talented twerkers...
So the idea to kick off a campaign to recruit ONLY FEMALE members for awhile was born...you know...for diversity so we don't look like "THAT CLAN"...you know the one that has no sense of equality....
Well...long story short, I guess the ladies in the office you work with and all those other people were mad at me.
Word on the street is it was because I produced such a provocative ladies' recruitment campaign that all their friends were ditching them on ladies night out to come and play Warframe with FLOW!
What followed was TONS of drama for about 2 days....and it all ended with my 2nd warning post by you and these lovely posts:
I fixed it below because it was clearly just a HUGE misunderstanding....right?!
Sad to say but this was pretty much the full extent of our wonderful relationship.
But I have to thank you for working with FLOW to correct the issue you may have had and other people most definatly had with my attempts to bring diversity to our clan...
I understand my error thanks to you, but I still think the problem was centered on "girls night out" and other group activities that were being crushed due to our free void runs after 7pm specials!
You could have easily just ripped down all the fun, hard work, and the art that is on the FLOW recruitment thread.
However you understood as a human and a moderator who had been keeping tabs on our progress...so you sparred us, and even went to bat for us with the angry staff members who you had to report to.
You were civil and cool through the entire transition very PRO indeed.
You will always be my favorite moderator....but if any of you moderators our there want to become a CLOSE RUNNER UP...YOU CAN START BY REMOVING THESE 2 WARNINGS I HAVE.....for the past NEARLY 5 MONTHS!?
When do these things fall off?

I refuse to read the whiner posts (i heard some from my clan). I have only my reaction to give you. I LOVE UPDATE 10! Great content! I just want better drop rates for Mag Prime systems (only because i have yet to get it, yet i know we need to grind it). You cannot make everyone happy all the time. At best, you have a choice of the one of the two former options (some people all of the time, or all of the people some of the time). I salute you!

P.S. ...trading (make it happen SOON), listen to the Steam guys...exploits happen (happiness factor), the sooner you get it in, the sooner it can be fixed....
I'll say it now and I'll be both brief and civil too, how nice of me. The whining posts? Constructive criticism on issues that DE keeps ignoring and we want the game to succeed. People who only give out nothing but blind praise like yourself, will kill the game. There, now to leave before I go into detail any further.
WRONG. Blind praise? please... I see a patriotic gamer, who appreciates the quality and hard work that has been put into this free to play game....
ONE WHO IS pointing out a fact..that there are way to many negative comments without enough constructive criticism, but this is all too common.
People are better at complaining loudly than being able to articulate sensible suggestions and effective solutions.
There is no blind praise here, I see compliments and I see suggestions made in a civil and respectful way...this OP's requests may not stand out to you because they are not laden with insults and the garbage vernacular that often is found on these threads.
My message to DE....this last live stream seriously was depressing. I felt repulsed at the fact that this community or certain individuals in it have drawn you to immediately start making up excuses and apologies for your efforts to add content and diversity to your game.
I have a mind to think the head of your PR department decided that "YOU BETTER SAY SORRY"
Its pathetic that you put so much work into a free to play game, you stay up late at night you feel the pressure from the public to produce works of magic
Not to mention the demands from those within you own departments and the higher ups who look down over you.
ONLY to have to come on camera in front of the world...throw your hands in the air and say you are sorry to a select group of "whinney" posters.
I understand the need to provide feedback to a developer of a "beta" game,
I respect that you do listen to the community and interact with them in various ways...
but please don't say that "you are sorry" anymore if you can help it.
Apology makes you look bad, perhaps once on a rare occasion, but its beginning to be too much of a habit for DE. Honestly it makes us as a community look like spoiled little sh*ts.
Try to pluck what you can from these comments good or bad and make what corrections you feel necessary.
This most recent live stream was sickening for the simple fact you looked so defeated after all that you have done, and truth be told there were some areas that could have been tweaked but that is always expected.

Well, Not gonna lie your the only clan on the forums whos topic post actually made me want to kill myself for not joining you from the start.
So, Iv been in Sentinel NOVA for just under 3 months now, But its got to the point where theres only 10-20 people on over the span of the day and they're the same every time, So it saddens me but i have to leave and find another decently social clan.
So pretty much saw you guys and told myself, "Well i mean this clan doesnt look half bad i mean the slogan 300% hotter is pretty Smoking ( Haha. . . moving on ) And then i saw your Topic post and pretty much instantly wanted to join.
