  1. Not "forgetting" the other form. It's just becomes less viable to play the switch playstyle. I used to play equinox switch , but it didn't hold up well in steel path. First of all, the day form nuke doesn't hold up in damage unless you have armour strip, so you are helminthing over her 2 likely, if you want to keep it. Since her third ability in night form is a fantastic passive that makes armour more effective for health tanking. Why health tanking? because she is so SO energy hungry with the drain. with health tanking you can add umbral mods and rage to help with that. rank 1 energize wasnt enough. Anyways, to enable her day form nuke, you want aoe armour strip. so something like terrify. you also would be running an augment for the switch energy transfer or else switching is too clumsy. so one augment spot is taken, but then you give up her slow on 3 augment which get this - SLOWS DOWN the bomb carrier in disruption. so if you're doing archons you want the night support augment. 2 augments is too expensive for this build, leaves little for other stuff. so you pick her 3, since no energy transfer you're stuck on night form anyways for efficiency and then you'll likely helmith the first with armour strip. It all comes down is that she needs too many mods. IF energy transfer was her actual passive, we couldve freed up a spot and made the switch playstyle viable. switch-duality is also too expensive steel path and beyond mods wise.
  2. So does Gara, heheh. eh... to me it's closer to boob-armour/shape. Hey look, I am not saying the male warframes are devoid of design creativity. There are some which I adore (incidentally, yes Nidus, and Harrow. And sevagoth though both his acquisition and kit needs some help imo). It's just that I sometimes feel they aren't getting as much diversity in design (and kit effectiveness) as the female ones. It's possible that it's just personal preference and I am absolutely imagining things, with 40+ frames it's not like it's an issue.
  3. There is a couple of things going on here that will make people think that. Modern gamers seem to demand novelty in content pretty regularly. OR ELSE (they will move on to a game that does). It turns out that novelty of content is more important than quality, and I have seen this across multiple games. So yes there is a pressure to release something, and that can result in rushed less creative concepts. The game is also pretty old and a lot of the themes have been experimented and played out already. New and fresh concepts, or even a twist on existing ones are genuinely hard to build. The second point regarding less originality and repeated warrior/blade, is DE problem specifically with male warframes and their reluctance to take any real risks or veer off the beaten path. They seem more willing to take on different concepts for the female frames. Imagine if they went with the ero-guro theme and a beautiful sparkly gem theme for a male warframe, and had beautifully suggestive male genitalia, complete with emissive lights at the split. LOL. See? less risks overall. So yet another blade/generic warrior it is. Which I do love, but that's all we'll ever get it seems. Anyways, regarding the meta - there will always be limited ways to absolutely min max. And if you're into getting the best of the best, and utilizing the helminth system to achieve it, all frames will start to feel more homogeneous to you. I skimmed through a kullervo thread here and people were ALREADY speculating which ability to replace with a helminth one. Already! I wouldn't pay much mind to youtubers, they are at a race with each other to show the biggest red crits and whatnot for their clickbait. Making cool stuff that isn't as ideal doesn't earn as many clicks, I guess? You do you, not all my own builds are meta/ideal. If I like something I will go out of my way to try and make it work. Meta is for when it clearly doesn't work, at least for me.
  4. I use Zenurik + Archon Stretch (and having her 3 up as much as possible) and it seems enough to keep her up. Though I am still in half mind if I want to use steadfast or energize instead of molt augmented. Steadfast works wonders if you're a spammy caster (plus my energize is unranked, heh) which is what I use on another spammy caster frame. A couple of users gave me ideas to play around here, the 1500 hp gyre beefcake thing is intriguing and so far hasn't died yet. but I didnt have time to experiment with all the suggestions yet. I might give in to pillage, but so far I dislike how.. homogenizing the helminth system makes warframes feel. you'd think it'll open up cool builds but more often than not it makes their kits feel same-same.
  5. Unless it's defense, there really isn't time to type to one another. That said, late night warframe is much more chill about the grind and tends to start more conversations in chat. Especially a long circuit run. And the more cooperative mode you're talking about was railjack right on release. It was pretty much a full on co op game on it's on. However they did the mistake having a clan as a requirement to building your own and it had a pretty high credit and resource requirement, alienating a significant portion of the playerbase (myself as well, since I wasn't into clans). The coordination itself was already challenging enough LOL. But now it's just your typical simplistic WM1. By expectation of community that things should be simple (read: can solo) or by DE mistake of the initial introduction of something like railjack resulting in a low population (yes, you could join someone's elses ship, but you couldnt do nothing with intrinsics , etc) - there doesn't seem to be a demand. Having non bullet sponge bosses designs is hard though. I get it.
  6. Adaptation over Quick thinking or Rolling Guard? I can revisit it again. As for the second comment, I play a lot of harrow and protea. I don't think every frame needs to have a team support, fun playstyle should be king. Though if you play with randoms, team support like harrow does massive heavy lifting I find. Ideally her first ability would generate shields/overshields per enemy. Same as harrow's first. And his is a better cc as well, though does no damage. Would keep the synergy with her 2. Alas, I don't think DE revisits weaker frames.. when they can release just new ones.
  7. Her kit just really appeals to me as is. I love the aesthetics of the first ability and using it. And the second ability is always going to be useful as a grouping one. There is a nice synergy between them. Breaking up her kit would diminish her appeal to me. I mean there are other warframes, I get it, but her base kit just hit right and I wanted to see if there is a way to make it work without giving up 1 or 2.
  8. Many frames can take on SP without a helminth or stripping ability (Harrow, Protea, Nidus, etc) and do just fine. sure a helminth would improve on what they have, but not necessary. Is there a way to keep Gyre's og kit intact without relying too heavily on dragon key or a helminth like pillage? I have tried double survivability mods : rolling guard + quick thinking (since she has the archon stretch to help with energy) and arcane reconstruct to help with the health loss on qt. She still blows up. Am I missing something or is she really just a low level nuker whose original kit is lacking?
