  1. I like the idea of a massive damage hand cannon, but there are a few issues. First this definitely looks like the Lex. If you want it to be more powerful, make it look more powerful with a massive barrel. And if it's supposed to be a single shot, it shouldn't look like a semi-auto. Make it look more like a breach loader or something. For example these are pictures of a famous and common single-shot pistol called the Thompson Contender. There are many more different versions if you search for the name. You could make it look similar to this but with a larger barrel.

And another thing is that on slow rate of fire weapons, crit is a loser unless the crit chance can get to 100%. If not then it makes the damage very unreliable. Just look at Vectis: sometimes it hits like a truck and other times it kinda sucks. The Paris Prime and Dread can exceed 100% so their damage is always great and sometimes is an awesome red-crit. On high rate of fire weapons like Soma (Prime) and Amprex it's fine since you will be firing many shots anyway so the non-crits will be lost in a string of crits and the average damage will be high. But with low rate of fire weapons the last thing you want is to shoot a nearby heavy in the face and have him keep shooting at you while you wait 2 more seconds for your gun to be ready to fire again and cross your fingers for a crit this time.

The other main issue is that this hand cannon would need to compete with other weapons. The marelok (and vaykor marelok) for example has enough damage to take down almost anything with one shot, is fairly accurate, has amazing status chance, and isn't limited to being a single-shot weapon. If your weapon just does more damage than the marelok then it'll be wasted as overkill most of the time. The angstrum can be used as a semi-auto to fire one high-damage explosive round that can kill several nearby enemies with one shot. So if this thing is gonna have a niche, it needs a little something to make it more useful: Innate punch-through, innate zoom, or some other semi-unique trait. Or you could make it have spread as a single shot pistol like these real life "mutiny guns".

  2. Something very close to this is what poor ole' Excal should have been, and what he should still be. But it seems that he's now DE's new favorite punching bag now that they're done with Trinity.

Overall a very good concept, I personally love all the abilities, being a melee player myself. The channeling version of his N2 would simply be ungodly fun.

However, I can't help but hope DE never does this though, they'd smear their funk all over it and make another zephyr... ( Been very, very cynical about DE as of late... )

I'm down for a solid melee frame, it can be the excalibur that the original wished to be.

It's funny that the two of you bring up Excalibur. That is how the idea started. I made this post originally and most ppl agreed that Excalibur needed a rework:

    https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/384814-excalibur-badly-needs-a-rework/?hl=jmforeman02

Then I suggested that we turn him into a melee frame in this post, but ppl were resistant to changing Excalibur in that way.

    https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/385680-its-time-for-a-melee-frame-i-vote-we-retrofit-excalibur/?hl=jmforeman02#entry4257662

So I decided to separate the concept from Excalibur and make it into it's own frame, and Vector is the result.

i really love the passive idea of this frame looking forward for more work and info updates also artworks

    really cool !

Thanks. I hope to have more coming!

  3. You can still access Wrymius from Wyrm Prime's Appearance tab.

Please try to avoid using swear words as the first place video will be featured on all our social media platforms. Thanks!

Yes you may edit the audio!

You can edit the video to increase the speed, or attempt another run that is under 10 minutes.

As a general question: does anyone think the max time should be more than 10 minutes? 15 max perhaps?

    Thanks for the clarification Megan.

  4.

Video cannot be more than 10 minutes.

Video must be 1 complete high score run-- not a compilation of attempts.

Any submission that doesn't follow these rules will be disqualified!

How do you win if you are the high-scorer and went longer than 10 mins?

  5. With regards to a group buff of some sorts, you could roll it into his first ability, either innately or as an augment.

Shadow Lunge would still bypass enemies but would buff allies with the same MDM or hit counter as Vector has currently.

I like the new 2. Another aura type augment could be to make that share with your team. It would definitely make things interesting.

Good ideas for augments. I'll have to write them up. Thanks guys.

  6. Maybe a skill that he can share with others for his second, some toe of buff / defensive skill, but I likeeee this a lot

Yeah I've been thinking along those lines, but haven't figured out anything that works as well with his theme and play style yet.  I am open to suggestions if you have any. Though as of right now, he can slow all nearby enemies and reduce their weapon damage considerably so that's helpful.

I'd also love for him to be able to make more use of channeling. I had an ability in there for that originally, but it didn't work as well as the one I replaced it with. Maybe I could replace his current number 2 ability with something. That's the one that seems most in need of something.

  7. Anyone have a full list of mods that work in the new Conclave? If not, just post all the mods you know that work and I'll add them to a list on this post.

    List so far:

    Warframe:

         Aviator

         Acrobat

         Fast Deflection

         Handspring

         Maglev

         Quick Reset

         Sure Footed

    Rifle:

         Eagle Eye

         Fast Hands

         Hush

         Primed Fast Hands

  8.

The new name is great. Lately though I feel like DE's been focused on increasing their energy based frames, more magic than attack and I've been looking to improve my Warframe "Closet"  with more attack based frames. I believe Vector would do the job for this and he would be a great addition alongside my Mesa

Thanks, I think it'd be fun to have another physical based frame. Also it seems like he'd pair well with the new Volt Prime. I mean, Vector on Speed would be a lot of fun. I keep thinking what it would be like to have a team with Volt, Valkyr, Rhino, and Vector all with steel charged equipped. The melee would be unbelievably powerful. Speed+Warcry+Roar and then Vector laying down the hurt.

  9. I think Abyss should give a channeling bonus, like -50% channeling cost or +100% channeling damage. In it's current form it's main effect seems to be that it increases defense and increases stamina. I don't think that alone will make him quite the melee monster you want him to be in that mode and no frames currently have anything to facilitate channeling.

  10. I can imagine everyone getting 1 legendary mod for completing a raid, but like GreenSoup said, I can't imagine us getting more for repeats. That would help definitely, but 1 core wouldn't be enough to cut down on a lot of grinding for several Primed Mods. We need a more permanent solution. Maybe you could get one Legendary Core per month from raids, untradable, that would work. Can't imagine the raids being challenging enough to warrant a legendary core though.

  11. What? 1 mil price tag, one per visit? Nah, that's dumb.

Who says they have to be like old legendary cores? They could easily not be nearly as powerful, but much more powerful than R5's. They could cost something like 150 Ducats and 150 thousand credits, with no credit fusion cost. That seems pretty reasonable.

I would rather pay 1mil price tag once than 150 ducats and 150 thousand creds several times for one mod.

  12. Why not just buy Primed Cores (Legendary Cores) from Baro'Ki Teer along with other special items? It would help this problem a bunch imo. The only problem would be that the trading market would be flooded with them and they would become almost worthless due to how much they are currently worth.

When they put in Primed mods they wanted them to be a challenge to upgrade. This would preserve the challenge while eliminating the grind. Having them sold for non-plat currency would not only eliminate the challenge, but it would flood the market, even if they were untradable. If everyone could get them that easily, everyone's mods would be maxed including all the Primed mods and normal cores would become near worthless.

Edit: it would help for them to have a 1 mil price tag, and limit one per visit, but it would still eliminate the challenge.

  13. Okay, so since core farming has been nerfed to the ground, people have been talking about the possibility of bringing Legendary Cores back in some fashion to fix the Primed Mods grind problem. I was thinking that there could be a way to do this without letting Legendary Cores destroy everything. Make it so that players have to fight Level 99 Stalker, G3, and Lephantis at the same time or some other ridiculously difficult challenge. Players would only be allowed to do it if they had at least on unranked Primed mod. They could only attempt it once a week, and they could only earn one Legendary Core a month this way. Make it so the Legendary Core is untradable, and anything it fused with would also become untradable. This way, even if someone found an easy way to beat the challenge, they still wouldn't be able to get Legendary Cores quickly and they wouldn't be able to distribute them or make a profit off of them. The people this would benefit are the people who just wanted to level a mod for personal use, but don't want to do 100's of hours in farming. It would still take time to get the Legendary Cores though, so it still wouldn't be instant gratification. I think this system would allow people to bypass the endless farming to get Legendary Cores, but wouldn't destroy the entire core economy.

Obviously you could also sell Legendary Cores in the market for some high price, like 3-400 plat and make the things they fused with untradable.

Alternatively you could make 5-R5 core packs available from the syndicates for about 5-10k rep. This would help with the grind too, but I really think people would enjoy having a kind of ultimate challenge.
