  1. Same problem. I was having a hard time getting headshots on Comba/Scrambus units in Bastille. I didn't realize it was such an old bug though, ohno (so here I am to bump this thread)

Here's my helpful diagram ↓ In the red area, my sniper showed 5000m distance, and bullets just kinda go straight through him.

  2. I was looking forward to the SotD revision discussed on the devstream. :( I don't even mind that there are only 7 shadows, because it sounded much nicer to only have to maintain your shadows when you decide it's strategically a good idea. The lifespan of the shadows is still tied to duration, only now they also become weaker over time. Keeping your shadows up only makes you spend energy more frequently now, since the damage that they take technically shortens their timer. It's the same energy cost as ult regardless of how much you're healing, and now you have to cast it more frequently. So that's a little disappointing

I've had fun with Desecrate so far though (or, not having to worry about spamming it), so I have no complaints about that. Lol

  3. I think the Blessing change was too big of a nerf, not in a "oh no you can't be invincible anymore" way, but now it just doesn't do enough as an ultimate.

Now it's just a combination of... spending too much energy for too little benefit for too short a duration. The 10 second default duration was fair when Blessing could easily grant the whole squad godmode. The 100 energy cost was also fair when, again, Blessing could easily grant the whole squad godmode. But now it doesn't do that: it's much harder to get good damage reduction from Blessing, which is good because I don't think it should be that easy to become invincible either, but now it doesn't feel like it's doing very much at all due to its other many drawbacks.

I think the damage reduction should be based on something more useful and a little less situational, something other than the squad's current health. It was already pretty difficult to use Blessing without damaging yourself when your squad members' health was always either at 100% or 0%. I don't have some sort of flawless suggestion to replace the way it works now, but that's my problem with Blessing.

I play Trinity quite a bit with various builds (I don't do self-damage either). Because of Blessing being based on current health (before and after 18.3), the only support I could typically give my squad was keeping my own self alive really well with Link in order to revive everyone else. Blessing never really did anything except help me survive a little better if I needed to revive someone and Link didn't quite mitigate enough damage. The whole problem with playing Trinity as a support frame is "I wanna help out my squad but everyone's health is either at 100% or changing really fast! Casting it will just give us 0% damage reduction because that person over there that's about to run into danger will either take only shield damage or have all their health depleted in 0.2 seconds and die anyway."

So yeah... anything but current health. In Warframe, people rarely sit around at 10% health long enough for you to cast Blessing. They're either using a frame with max health+armor and some sort of life steal, or they're using any other frame that will either be at 100% health or instantly dead. Because, you know, enemy damage scaling.

  4. Mostly electro-industrial, and then some various black metal and melodic death metal. I also listened to a lot of some rather specific styles of IDM, and there's even one witch house artist I like. huh

Funny that you mention Motionless in White, because I started listening to them when I heard the industrial metal-ish influences on Infamous at least. (They even covered Rammstein, you don't get more industrial metal than that)

I could totally go into detail on those few really ideal bands that somehow blend all these different genres I like in a great way, but maybe this is enough for one post. Lol

  5. On the screen that shows all 5, unlocked schools have a "make primary" button, and the one that you choose to be your primary will be the ability that you use. It doesn't actually have anything to do with the lenses you have equipped at the time, just whichever school is your primary.

  6. I kinda decided the operator transmissions are just the operator saying what they're thinking, but then some lines came up that used second person, possibly referring to the warframe. I don't remember what they were, but I think they had to do with being downed and then revived in a squad, idk. "We're back up" or something.

Then one telling the warframe to get up, but not specifically using second person words like "we."

Even then, it could still possibly be explained by the operator talking to it as an object, like how you'd irrationally tell a regular every day object to stop malfunctioning. I'm just not sure yet.

  7. If you're running in regular fullscreen mode (and can run it in your native resolution), try borderless fullscreen mode instead. Alt+tabbing is way more seamless like that. I switched to it because alt+tabbing from any screen always caused problems for me, but yeah, especially the loading screen.

If you're already in borderless fullscreen, then I just don't know.

  8. I know everyone is blaming PBR because it has some weird effects sometimes, but I'm actually not quite getting this.

My frost prime in all black is actually all black:

    dU8VduU.png

I picked him because in your screenshot his "gold" is totally black while the rest of him is gray, but on my screen his colors match up so that's weird.

Maybe it's an unintended difference in one of the settings that one of us has on and the other doesn't? idk

  9. Roar is a good example of an okay compromise for having arbitrary Ability Leveling, since it's Duration is 30 Seconds at all levels now.

Welllllll I guess I'd better rewrite that with an ability from a frame I actually use. oops. That's what I get for using the arsenal instead of the wiki

  10. The one thing I never liked about leveling frames from the beginning (either from a forma or after building a new frame) is the way the abilities level up. I never liked how all of the stats start out at such a minimum where they all add up to make the abilities pretty much useless until they reach max rank.

My tiny suggestion would be for only one stat per ability to require ranking up to maximize.

As an example ability with multiple stats, I'm gonna use Rest & Rage, except specifically rest because I don't use rage. Rest has range, duration, and the health wakeup threshold which all upgrade as you rank up. At rank 0, that ability starts out with a small range, a short duration, and a high wakeup threshold. Again, I only think one stat per ability should rank up, so in the case of rage, it might start out with regular range and wakeup threshold, but low duration. That way, the ability (and many other abilities with multiple stats that rank up) will still have to rank up to become more useful, but won't start out entirely as just a waste of energy that can't even strategically be put to good use.

This crosses my mind every time I forma a frame or build a new one, so I wouldn't be surprised if someone mentioned this idea already, but I think it still makes sense.

Okay, sometimes I do bring low ranked frames to solo missions in high levels just to hurry up the leveling process, but sometimes I bring them to public endless missions all the way back on Earth or Mercury and I still think "wow, unleveled abilities are really bad here too." I want to actually want to use the abilities despite my frame not being rank 30, even if only at very strategic times. So yeah. There's my idea to fix that.

  11. Snow globe was also my first thought when they brought up the new frame-specific UI trend. I was picturing something more like the way Atlas' UI appears in the bottom middle of the screen, maybe show 4 small bars down there so you can see how much % health is left on them all at once. Probably a little lower on the screen than the Atlas UI since it'll be there for longer.

But then I'm not sure how best to show which snow globe is which, but someone else could figure that out.

A thing I just threw together:

    JiUIWU6.png

I didn't bother to match the actual curve of the HUD but you get the idea. It's at the bottom

  12. I think it should tie to the daily reset. If not the normal 8 PM EST reset time, then perhaps a 2-5AM reset time.

I thought of this too, but I was worried that eventually everyone would only be hosting raids ASAP after the reset, and that at any other time it would be hard to find enough people who haven't already done one that day. (Especially at the current reset time, I'm not as sure about 2-5AM)

Edit: Anyway, I also had the 20 hour idea in mind so that has my vote.

  13. None of those that you listed, except for the base damage mods (serration, etc.), are considered globally mandatory for all weapons. If you want to kill things, there's a 100% chance you will put serration on your rifle. That's the kind of mod they're talking about revamping/removing to promote build diversity. None of those other mods you listed fall under that, so that was kind of a stretch (especially corrupted mods, there isn't one you would put on every single frame)

  14. I was trying to stealth through a mission when a Hexis hit squad showed up, and one of their guys decided to rat me out to the Grineer. Like, I got snitched on right before my eyes. I could not believe it.

But anyway, hit squads using other factions' consoles doesn't make much sense because they probably weren't welcome on the ship either, so that's why I assume it wasn't intended.

  15. I don't have any good reason that they shouldn't do this, but just for some advice I finally decided to get into the habit of speeding through the pause menu to get back and forth between navigation and the arsenal and it's a lot faster than running. Lol

  16. Yeah I reeeeally think they should stick with making the routes more challenging rather than entirely blocking them off. Especially when it's the same route every time. That's not a challenge, that's just boring

I wanna have to decide on a better route to take every time based on some random circumstances like "oh that one looks too hard this time, let's try this one instead"

Instead of just "welp this is Ceres so I better prepare to take the one route available........ again"

  17. I saw it unblocked once, and it turns out now there are new lasers down there to avoid too. I wish they could still let you choose the path with the lasers since it's still more difficult rather than totally blocking off routes like that :[
